痕量气体垂直廓线的监测,对大气污染研究具有重要意义。介绍了被动多轴差分吸收光谱(MAX-DOAS)技术监测痕量气体垂直廓线的光学遥感方法。研究中MAX-DOAS测量多个角度的斜柱浓度、结合大气辐射传输模型,利用最优估算法反演出痕量气体垂直廓线,并对最优估算法参数选取和反演评估进行了详细描述。将该技术应用于合肥地区NO2垂直廓线的监测:通过与长光程差分吸收光谱仪的测量结果对比,相关系数达到0.80。该技术为大气环境立体监测提供了一种简便的方法。  相似文献

A scanning multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS) system is developed for monitoring tropospheric NO2 abundance. Measurements at different viewing angles near the horizon can be performed sequentially with one telescope collecting scattered sunlight reflected by a moving mirror. Tropospheric NO2 diurnal variations can be derived from slant column densities (SCDs) of different elevation angles. The result from a field campaign in Beijing in summer of 2005 reveals potential possibility for the monitoring of tropospheric NO2 by multi-axis DOAS technique.  相似文献

Novel Monte Carlo techniques are described for the computation of reflection coefficient matrices for multiple scattering of light in plane-parallel random media of spherical scatterers. The present multiple scattering theory is composed of coherent backscattering and radiative transfer. In the radiative transfer part, the Stokes parameters of light escaping from the medium are updated at each scattering process in predefined angles of emergence. The scattering directions at each process are randomized using probability densities for the polar and azimuthal scattering angles: the former angle is generated using the single-scattering phase function, whereafter the latter follows from Kepler's equation. For spherical scatterers in the Rayleigh regime, randomization proceeds semi-analytically whereas, beyond that regime, cubic spline presentation of the scattering matrix is used for numerical computations. In the coherent backscattering part, the reciprocity of electromagnetic waves in the backscattering direction allows the renormalization of the reversely propagating waves, whereafter the scattering characteristics are computed in other directions. High orders of scattering (~10 000) can be treated because of the peculiar polarization characteristics of the reverse wave: after a number of scatterings, the polarization state of the reverse wave becomes independent of that of the incident wave, that is, it becomes fully dictated by the scatterings at the end of the reverse path. The coherent backscattering part depends on the single-scattering albedo in a non-monotonous way, the most pronounced signatures showing up for absorbing scatterers. The numerical results compare favourably to the literature results for nonabsorbing spherical scatterers both in and beyond the Rayleigh regime.  相似文献

A new integral-vector Monte Carlo method (IVMCM) is developed to analyze the transfer of polarized radiation in 3D multiple scattering particle-laden media. The method is based on a “successive order of scattering series” expression of the integral formulation of the vector radiative transfer equation (VRTE) for application of efficient statistical tools to improve convergence of Monte Carlo calculations of integrals. After validation against reference results in plane-parallel layer backscattering configurations, the model is applied to a cubic container filled with uniformly distributed monodispersed particles and irradiated by a monochromatic narrow collimated beam. 2D lateral images of effective Mueller matrix elements are calculated in the case of spherical and fractal aggregate particles. Detailed analysis of multiple scattering regimes, which are very similar for unpolarized radiation transfer, allows identifying the sensitivity of polarization imaging to size and morphology.  相似文献

The Monte Carlo cloud scattering forward model (McClouds_FM) has been developed to simulate limb radiative transfer in the presence of cirrus clouds, for the purposes of simulating cloud contaminated measurements made by an infrared limb sounding instrument, e.g. the Michelson Interferometer for Passive Atmospheric Sounding (MIPAS). A reverse method three-dimensional Monte Carlo transfer model is combined with a line-by-line model for radiative transfer through the non-cloudy atmosphere to explicitly account for the effects of multiple scattering by the clouds. The ice cloud microphysics are characterised by a size distribution of randomly oriented ice crystals, with the single scattering properties of the distribution determined by accurate calculations accounting for non-spherical habit.A comparison of McClouds_FM simulations and real MIPAS spectra of cirrus shows good agreement. Of particular interest are several noticeable spectral features (i.e. H2O absorption lines) in the data that are replicated in the simulations: these can only be explained by upwelling tropospheric radiation scattered into the line-of-sight by the cloud ice particles.  相似文献

This paper studies the decoupling error associated with the atmospheric correction procedures in the ocean color remote sensing algorithms. The decoupling error is caused by the lack of proper consideration of multiple scattering between the atmospheric and ocean components. In other words, the atmosphere and ocean are not coupled properly. A vector radiative transfer model for the coupled atmosphere and ocean (CAO) system based on the successive order of scattering (SOS) method is used to study the error. The inherent optical properties (IOPs) of the ocean are provided by the most updated bio-optical models. Two wavelengths are used in the study, 412 and 555 nm. For a detector located just above the ocean interface, the decoupling errors range from 0.3% to 7% at 412 nm; and from 0.3% to 3 % at 555 nm for zenith viewing angles smaller than 70°. The decoupling errors are significantly larger for larger zenith viewing angles for this detector. For a detector at the top of the atmosphere (TOA), it is hard to separate the decoupling error from the error introduced by the diffuse transmittance. If we assume the upwelling radiance is uniform just below the ocean surface when estimating the diffuse transmittance, the decoupling errors are from ?4% to 8% for zenith viewing angles smaller than 70°; and negative decoupling errors show up at mainly large zenith viewing angles.  相似文献

A Monte Carlo-based evaluation of the multiple-scattering influence on ground-based Raman lidar measurements is presented. The lidar returns from cirrus clouds are analyzed in order to evaluate vertical profiles of the extinction and backscattering coefficients. Results show that for the typical cirrus cloud, the presence of the multiple scattering can lead to an underestimation of the extinction coefficient by as large as 200% whereas the backscattering coefficient is almost unaffected for the Raman lidar technique. An algorithm to select one or a set of phase functions which fit to the lidar data is also presented. It is an iterative procedure based on Monte Carlo scattering simulation. By comparison of the experimental value of the lidar ratio, corrected for the multiple scattering influence, and the phase function used in the Monte Carlo simulation, one can determine a suitable phase function. The validity and sensitivity of the algorithm have been demonstrated by applying it to simulated cases. The application to some real cases indicates that our procedure allows for the establishing of a practical scattering model for the cirrus clouds.  相似文献

We developed a Monte Carlo event generator for production of nucleon configurations in complex nuclei consistently including effects of nucleon–nucleon (NN) correlations. Our approach is based on the Metropolis search for configurations satisfying essential constraints imposed by short- and long-range NN correlations, guided by the findings of realistic calculations of one- and two-body densities for medium-heavy nuclei. The produced event generator can be used for Monte Carlo (MC) studies of pA and AA collisions. We perform several tests of consistency of the code and comparison with previous models, in the case of high energy proton–nucleus scattering on an event-by-event basis, using nucleus configurations produced by our code and Glauber multiple scattering theory both for the uncorrelated and the correlated configurations; fluctuations of the average number of collisions are shown to be affected considerably by the introduction of NN correlations in the target nucleus. We also use the generator to estimate maximal possible gluon nuclear shadowing in a simple geometric model.  相似文献

提出了一种利用电荷耦合器件摄像机获取的辐射信息进行二维弥散介质温度场快速重建的新模型. 与现有的温度场重建模型相比,该模型是以逆向Monte Carlo方法为基础,重建速度更快、效率更高,能更好地描述散射介质. 采用了一个精确的二维温度场作为重建对象,结果表明,即使在存在测量误差的情况下,利用此模型重建出的温度场仍能重现原有精确温度场的特征. 关键词: 温度场重建 逆向Monte Carlo 电荷耦合器件摄像机 反问题  相似文献

惯性约束聚变研究中,热辐射光子在介质中的输运以及热辐射光子与介质的相互作用是重要研究课题,蒙特卡罗方法是该类问题的重要研究手段之一.隐式蒙特卡罗方法虽然能正确地模拟热辐射在介质中的输运过程,但当模拟重介质(材料的吸收系数大)问题时,该方法花费的计算时间将变得很长,导致模拟效率很低.本文以离散扩散蒙特卡罗方法为基础,开发了"离散扩散蒙特卡罗方法辐射输运模拟程序",可以较好地解决重介质区的计算效率问题,但是离散扩散蒙卡罗方法在模拟轻介质区时精度不够高.辐射输运问题中通常既有轻介质也有重介质,为了能同时解决蒙特卡罗方法模拟的效率和精度问题,本文研究了离散扩散蒙特卡罗方法与隐式蒙特卡罗方法相结合的模拟方法,并提出了新的扩散区与输运区界面处理方法,研制了混合蒙特卡罗方法的辐射输运模拟程序.典型辐射输运问题模拟显示:在模拟重介质问题时,该程序能大幅缩短模拟时间,且能取得与隐式蒙特卡罗方法一致的结果;在模拟轻重介质均存在的问题时,与隐式蒙特卡罗方法相比,混合蒙特卡罗方法的模拟精度与其相当且计算效率同样能够得到显著提升.  相似文献

引入反向蒙特卡罗法与双向蒙特卡罗法对红外光学系统的杂散辐射进行分析,基于光谱辐射传递因子导出了焦平面辐射能流计算式.以某星载多波段红外光学系统为例,在检验计算可靠性的基础上,模拟了各波段辐射能从地球背景和光机内壁面到焦平面的传播过程,分析了壁面吸收率与温度的影响.结果表明,采用双向蒙特卡罗法可有效地模拟辐射能从地球向星载光学系统焦平面的传播过程,采用反向蒙特卡罗法可容易地分析光机内部热辐射的影响;光机内壁面吸收率对视场外杂散辐射的传播有很大影响,温度高于250 K的光机内壁面热辐射成为主要的杂散光源.  相似文献

A new Monte Carlo atmospheric radiative transfer model is presented which is designed to support the interpretation of UV/vis/near-IR spectroscopic measurements of scattered Sun light in the atmosphere. The integro differential equation describing the underlying transport process and its formal solution are discussed. A stochastic approach to solve the differential equation, the Monte Carlo method, is deduced and its application to the formal solution is demonstrated. It is shown how model photon trajectories of the resulting ray tracing algorithm are used to estimate functionals of the radiation field such as radiances, actinic fluxes and light path integrals. In addition, Jacobians of the former quantities with respect to optical parameters of the atmosphere are analyzed. Model output quantities are validated against measurements, by self-consistency tests and through inter comparisons with other radiative transfer models.  相似文献

The three-dimensional (3D) diffusion radiative transfer equation, which utilizes a four-term spherical harmonics expansion for the scattering phase function and intensity, has been efficiently solved by using the full multigrid numerical method. This approach can simulate the transfer of solar and thermal infrared radiation in inhomogeneous cloudy conditions with different boundary conditions and sharp boundary discontinuity. The correlated k-distribution method is used in this model for incorporation of the gaseous absorption in multiple-scattering atmospheres for the calculation of broadband fluxes and heating rates in the solar and infrared spectra. Comparison of the results computed from this approach with those computed from plane-parallel and 3D Monte Carlo models shows excellent agreement. This 3D radiative transfer approach is well suited for radiation parameterization involving 3D and inhomogeneous clouds in climate models.  相似文献

This paper presents the application of the Monte Carlo method to solve the radiative heat exchange in non-homogeneous, non-isothermal gases with spectrally dependent properties. Among others models, the absorption-line blackbody (ALB) distribution function, originally defined and derived for the spectral line-based weighted-sum-of-gray-gases (SLW) model, allows an immediate, simple implementation of the Monte Carlo method to account the spectral dependence of the radiative properties. This work shows how the Monte Carlo method can be combined to the ALB distribution function, and provides results for heat transfer in a mixture of water vapor, carbon dioxide and nitrogen that have satisfactory agreement with the SLW method and with line-by-line integration. Finally, the solution technique is employed to solve two examples aiming at demonstrating the effect of the absorbing species concentration on the thermal radiative exchanges. The method is of great interest for the computation of radiative transfer in combustion systems where the chemical species concentration and the temperature are not uniform.  相似文献

针对大气中紫外光散射通信的特点, 用Monte Carlo方法对紫外光非直视(NLOS) 通信三种工作方式的覆盖范围进行分析, 建立了基于Monte Carlo方法的NLOS紫外光传输模型.利用Monte Carlo模拟方法对三种NLOS散射方式的单次和多次散射路径损耗及覆盖范围进行模拟研究, 结果表明, 多次散射和单次散射的路径损耗基本一致, NLOS(a) 类全向发送全向接收通信方式覆盖范围最小但全方位性好, NLOS(b) 类定向发送全向接收通信方式的覆盖范围较大但有一定方向性, NLOS(c) 类定向发送定向接收通信方式的覆盖范围最大但有很强的方向性.  相似文献

Monte Carlo simulations are increasingly used for dose calculations in proton therapy due to its inherent accuracy. However, dosimetric deviations have been found using Monte Carlo code when high density materials are present in the proton beamline. The purpose of this work was to quantify the magnitude of dose perturbation caused by metal objects. We did this by comparing measurements and Monte Carlo predictions of dose perturbations caused by the presence of small metal spheres in several clinical proton therapy beams as functions of proton beam range and drift space. Monte Carlo codes MCNPX, GEANT4 and Fast Dose Calculator (FDC) were used. Generally good agreement was found between measurements and Monte Carlo predictions, with the average difference within 5% and maximum difference within 17%. The modification of multiple Coulomb scattering model in MCNPX code yielded improvement in accuracy and provided the best overall agreement with measurements. Our results confirmed that Monte Carlo codes are well suited for predicting multiple Coulomb scattering in proton therapy beams when short drift spaces are involved.  相似文献

QED radiative corrections to Bhabha scattering are discussed. The contribution from hard bremsstrahlung is treated using the Feynman integral parametrization resulting in a fast and elegant algorithm for Monte Carlo simulation of the radiative process.
