Solid-phase extraction (SPE) procedures for cleanup and preconcentration followed by HPLC-UV method were investigated for the simultaneous determination of seven low-dosed pesticides in saline concentrates for hemodialysis. The target compounds were ametryn, desmetryn, prometryn, terbutryn, molinate, triallate and butylate. Polyethylene (three different types), teflon, polyurethane and polystyrene, in powder form, were investigated as adsorbents for solid-phase extraction of the analytes from the saline samples. Quantification was performed at 222 nm and the analytes were separated on a LiChrosorb RP-18 (5 μm, 125 mm × 4 mm i.d.) column using gradient elution with water/acetonitrile as mobile phase. The duration each chromatographic run was 18 min including column reconditioning. The efficiency of the different SPE substrates for retaining the analytes from the highly concentrated saline (HCS) samples was discussed. The best performance was achieved with polystyrene as SPE material considering preconcentration factor, precolumn clogging, reusing capability and similarity between the mobile phases for SPE and HPLC procedures. Analyte concentrations as low as 1 μg L−1 could be determined in spiked HCS samples after preconcentration on polystyrene SPE precolumns. Recoveries between 98.7 and 102.2% were obtained from commercial spiked samples. Detection limits ranging from 4.8 (for prometryn) to 46 μg L−1 (for butylate) were calculated (without preconcentration). The within-day relative standard deviations (n = 9) ranged from 2.3 to 4.8%.  相似文献

A capillary zone electrophoresis method with UV detection was developed for the simultaneous detection and quantification of three tetracyclines in chicken meat samples: tetracycline (TC), oxytetracycline (OTC) and doxycycline (DOC). The separation conditions were: a running buffer containing 30 mM sodium phosphate, 2 mM EDTA disodium salt and 2.5% 2-propanol, pH 12.0, a 5 s hydrodynamic injection and a 14 kV separation voltage. Two different clean-up methodologies were employed: solid-phase extraction with C18 cartridges and ion exchange with Amberlite XAD7 resin. Analytes were detected at 360 nm in less than 12 min. LODs ranged from 61 μg kg−1 for OTC to 68 μg kg−1 for DOC with C18 cartridges, and 81 μg kg−1 for DOC to 89 μg kg−1 for TC with Amberlite XAD7 resin. The recoveries for TC, OTC and DOC obtained by both methods were between 85 and 95%, and the peak area repeatability for all of the samples was below 5% in all cases. Twenty-four samples of commercial chicken drumsticks were examined with both clean-up methodologies. In nine cases (37.5%) TC was detected, in a range from 197.8 to 2564.3 μg kg−1, and in seven cases (29.2%) OTC was detected in a range from 83.0 to 2049.3 μg kg−1. DOC was not detected in any of the tested samples. This method would be useful for the routine monitoring of TCs residues in poultry muscle.  相似文献

A molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) designed to enable the selective extraction of carbamazepine (CBZ) from effluent wastewater and urine samples has been synthesised using a non-covalent molecular imprinting approach. The MIP was evaluated chromatographically in the first instance and its affinity for CBZ also confirmed by solid-phase extraction (SPE). The optimal conditions for SPE consisted of conditioning of the cartridge using acidified water purified from a Milli-Q system, loading of the sample under basic aqueous conditions, clean-up using acetonitrile and elution with methanol. The attractive molecular recognition properties of the MIP gave rise to good CBZ recoveries (80%) when 100 mL of effluent water spiked with 1 μg L−1 was percolated through the polymer. For urine samples, 2 mL samples spiked with 2.5 μg L−1 CBZ were extracted with a recovery of 65%. For urine, the linear range was 0.05-24 mg L−1, the limit of detection was 25 μg L−1 and precision, expressed as relative standard deviation at 0.5 mg L−1 (n = 3), was 3.1% and 12.6% for repeatability and reproducibility between days, respectively.  相似文献

The highly selective, fast and effective sample pretreatment technique molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) can overcome the low sensitivity of the highly efficient capillary electrophoresis-UV method (CE-UV). In this work, narrowly dispersible bisphenol A (BPA)-imprinted polymeric microspheres with a high capacity factor of k′ = 6.8 and an imprinted factor of I = 6.53 were investigated as selective solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents for use in extraction of BPA from different sample matrices (tap water, wastewater, Yangtze River water, soil from the Yangtze River, shrimp and human urine). Washing and eluting protocols of MISPE were optimized. Under optimal conditions, recoveries of MISPE were investigated. Recoveries were basically constant and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was lower than 5.8% when loading volumes changed from 1 to 50 mL. Recoveries ranged from 71.20% to 86.23% for different sample matrices. Compared with C18 SPE, MISPE had higher selectivity and recovery for BPA. BPA was determined with good accuracy and precision in different complex samples using CE-UV coupled with MISPE. Spiked recoveries ranged from 95.20% to 105.40%, and the RSD was less than 7.2%. Because a large loading volume was achieved, the enrichment efficiency of pretreatment and the sensitivity of this method were improved. The limits of detection of this MISPE-CE-UV method for BPA in tap water, wastewater, Yangtze River water, soil from the Yangtze River, shrimp and human urine were 3.0 μg L− 1, 5.4 μg L− 1, 6.9 μg L− 1, 2.1 μg L− 1, 1.8 μg L− 1 and 84 μg L− 1, respectively.  相似文献

An analytical methodology has been developed for the simultaneous extraction of 13 phenolic compounds, including chlorophenols (CPs), nitrophenols (NTPs), cresols and alkylphenols (APs) in different types of wastewater (WW) effluents. A solid-phase extraction (SPE) method has been optimized prior to the determination by gas chromatography coupled to triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (GC-QqQ-MS/MS). Due to the complexity of the matrix, a comparison study of matrix-matched-calibration (MMC) and standard addition calibration (SAC) was carried out for quantification purposes. The optimized procedure was validated using the SAC approach since it provided the most adequate quantification results (in terms of recovery and precision values). Recoveries were in the range 60-135% (0.5 μg L−1), 70-115% (1 μg L−1), and 78-120% (5 μg L−1), with precision values (expressed as relative standard deviation, RSD) ≤30% (except for 2-nitrophenol) involving intra-day and inter-day precision studies. Limits of detection (LODs) and quantification (LOQs) were also evaluated, and LOQs ranged from 0.03 μg L−1 to 2.5 μg L−1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of 8 real WW effluent samples, finding some phenolic compounds (e.g. 2-chlorophenol, 2,4,6-trichlorophenol and 4-tert-octylphenol) at concentrations higher than the established LOQs.  相似文献

A method was developed for simultaneous determination of residues of 17 sex hormones in egg products. Target compounds were extracted from samples with methanol in an ultrasonic bath, effectively separated from lipids in the extracts by ZnCl2 depositing filtration and purified using a C18 solid-phase extraction (SPE) and followed by NH2 SPE cartridge. The analytes were quantified by liquid chromatography using a BEH C18 column coupled to an electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometer (LC-ESI-MS/MS) operating in negative mode for estrogens and in positive multiple reaction monitoring mode for androgens. The parameters of the mass spectrometer and the composition of mobile phase and additives were also optimized to enhance detection sensitivity. Average recoveries of the target compounds varied from 70.0% to 121.0% with relative standard deviations ranging from 2.3% to 11.2% at two fortification levels. The limits of detection (LOD) of the method were from 0.002 μg kg−1 to 0.23 μg kg−1 and the limits of quantification (LOQ) were in the range of 0.007-0.76 μg kg−1.  相似文献

Polyclonal antibodies against microcystin-LR (MC-LR), a cyclic heptapeptide toxin, were generated in rabbits using MC-LR-BSA. An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed for the characterization of the antibodies and their potential use for analytical purposes. The concentration of MC-LR that inhibits 50% of antibody-antigen binding (IC50) was 0.5 μg L−1 for the indirect ELISA format and 0.9 μg L−1 for the direct ELISA, using MC-LR-horseradish peroxidase conjugate. The limit of detection corresponding to IC80 was found to be 0.06 μg L−1, well below the Word Health Organization level for drinking water of 1 μg L−1. The direct competitive ELISA was applied to water samples and was shown useful for screening purposes. The developed anti-microcystin antibodies were immobilized on solid supports for use in selective solid phase extraction (SPE) systems, prior to liquid chromatography (LC) quantification. An immunoaffinity cartridge (IAC), a Sepharose®-based cartridge incorporating 2 mg of antibodies allowed the selective and quantitative recovery of a mixture of 0.2 μg of MCs showing potential use in sample preparation of real matrices. When applied to water and green algae samples, average recoveries from Sepharose®-based cartridges were in the range of 86-113% for water samples and 85-92% for blue-green algae samples. Selectivity of the IAC clean-up was proven by comparison with non-specific solid phase extraction using octadecylsilica (ODS) sorbent. Results obtained using LC/UV after IAC clean-up agreed well with results obtained using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry detection (LC/MS and LC/MS/MS) after SPE-C18 clean-up, allowing therefore to validate the resulting technique.  相似文献

Using the DPP polarograms of wet digested cauliflower sample in acetate buffer at pH values of 2, 4 and 6, Fe, Zn, Mo, Se, Cr, Cd, Pb, Ti and Cu quantities were determined. The best separation and determination conditions for Zn, Se and Mo was pH 2; for Cr, Zn, Mo and As was pH 4; for Pb pH 6, for Ti, Cu and Fe was pH 6-7 EDTA, for Cd pH 2 EDTA and for lead pH 6, all in acetate buffer. The trace element ranges for cauliflowers from two different seasons were (first figure for winter, the second for summer) for Se 120-250 μg g−1, Fe 70-85 μg g−1, Cu 320-150 μg g−1, Ti 90-120 μg g−1, Cr 130-630 μg g−1, Zn 90-550 μg g−1, Mo 170-230 μg g−1, Cd 20 μg g−1 (in winter) and Pb 130-300 μg g−1 in dry sample. Cd was under the detection limit in summer. The length of digestion time had no effect on the recovery of copper, iron, molybdenum and zinc between 15 and 3 h of digestion.  相似文献

A multi-residue method for the determination of organochlorine pesticides in fish feed samples was developed and optimized. The method is based on a cleanup step of the extracted fat, carried out by liquid–liquid extraction on diatomaceous earth cartridge with n-hexane/acetonitrile (80/20, v/v) followed by solid phase extraction (SPE) with silica gel–SCX cartridge, before the identification and quantification of the residues by gas chromatography–triple quadrupole tandem spectrometry (GC–MS/MS). Performance characteristics, such as accuracy, precision, linear range, limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ), for each pesticide were determined. Instrumental LODs ranged from 0.01 to 0.11 μg L−1, LOQs were in the range of 0.02–0.35 μg L−1, and calibration curves were linear (r2 > 0.999) in the whole range of explored concentrations (5–100 μg L−1). Repeatability values were in the range of 3–15%, evaluated from the relative standard deviation of six samples spiked at 100 μg kg−1 of fat, and in compliance with that derived by the Horwitz's equation. No matrix effects or interfering substances were observed in fish feed analyses. The proposed method allowed high recoveries (92–116%) of spiked extracted fat samples at 100 μg kg−1, and very low LODs (between 0.02 and 0.63 μg kg−1) and LOQs (between 0.05 and 2.09 μg kg−1) determined in fish feed samples.  相似文献

A novel and simple method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of beta-lactam antibiotics (BLAs) (penicillin G, amoxicillin, ampicillin, penicillin V, oxacillin, cloxacillin, dicloxacillin and nafcillin) in wastewater. The method is based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) and high performance liquid chromatography with UV-diode array detection (UV-DAD). Two SPE cartridges have been compared for sample clean up and preconcentration: a reversed-phase silica-based cartridge (Bond Elut C18, Varian Inc.) and a strong polymeric mixed mode anion exchanger (Oasis MAX, Waters). The penicillins have been separated using a LUNA™ C18 (2) (150 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) HPLC column and gradient elution with mobile phases consisting of aqueous trifluoroacetic acid and acetonitrile. The analytical wavelength was set at 220 nm. Under optimised conditions it was possible to preconcentrate up to 1000 mL of Milli-Q water in the Oasis MAX cartridges with recoveries in the range 82-97% (R.S.D. 2-9%) for all the antibiotic tested, except amoxicillin (52%, R.S.D. 8%), and limits of detection in the range of 8-24 ng L−1. The matrix components in industrial and urban wastewater samples reduce the preconcentration efficiency in both sorbents, especially for the Bond Elut C18. The use of the Oasis MAX allowed detection limits between 2.9-25.6, 2.5-12.4 and 2.2-12.7 μg L−1, when processing 250 mL of industrial, influent and effluent sewage treatment plant (STP) samples. Recoveries ranged between 46-91, 28-91 and 39-114% (industrial, influent and effluent STP, respectively) for samples spiked with all the antibiotics at 25 and 75 μg L−1 (n = 3 for each level).  相似文献

A new reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography with resonance Rayleigh scattering detection (HPLC-RRS) was developed for simultaneous separation and determination of four tetracycline antibiotics (TCs). A good chromatographic separation among the compounds was achieved using a Synergi Fusion-RP column (150 mm × 4.6 mm; 4 μm) and a mobile phase consisting of methanol-acetonitrile-oxalic acid (5 mM) at the flow rate of 0.8 mL min−1. Column temperature was 30 °C. The RRS signal was detected at λex = λem = 370 nm. The recoveries of sample added standard ranged from 95.3% to 103.5%, and the relative standard deviation was below 2.79%. A detection limit of 2.12-5.12 μg mL−1 was reached and a linear range was found between peak height and concentration in the range of 10.36-518.0 μg mL−1 for oxytetracycline (OTC), 12.11-605.5 μg mL−1 for tetracycline (TC), 11.79-589.5 μg mL−1 for chlortetracycline (CTC) and 10.32-516.0 μg mL−1 for doxycycline (DC). The linear regression coefficients were all above 0.999. The method has been applied successfully to the determination of OTC, TC, CTC, DC in pharmaceutical formulations and in honey. The method was simple, rapid and showed a better linear relation and high repeatability.  相似文献

A simple and rapid reversed-phase HPLC-UV method was developed for the determination of triterpenic acids in the crude extract of Prunellae Spica. Five triterpenic acids were extracted and isolated from P. Spica as marker compounds for use in the quality control of herbal medicines. Various solvent extraction techniques were evaluated, and the greatest efficiency was observed with sonication in 100% ethanol. Elemental compositions of the five marker compounds were determined by high-resolution mass spectroscopy. The dynamic range of the HPLC-UV method depended on the specific analyte, and acceptable quantitation was obtained between 10 and 250 μg mL−1 for oleanolic acid, between 10 and 300 μg mL−1 for ursolic acid, between 3 and 75 μg mL−1 for 2α,3α,24-trihydroxyolean-12en-28oic acid, between 5 and 100 μg mL−1 for euscaphic acid, and between 5 and 100 μg mL−1 for 2α,3α-dihydroxyurs-12en-28oic acid. The method was deemed satisfactory by inter- and intra-day validation and exhibited both high accuracy and precision (relative standard deviation <9.4%). Overall limits of quantitation and detection were approximately 0.5-2.5 μg mL−1 at a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 3 and were about 3.0-10.0 μg mL−1 at a S/N of 10. In addition, principal component analysis (PCA) was performed on the analytical data of 15 different P. Spica samples in order to classify samples collected from different regions.  相似文献

A simple, sensitive and inexpensive flow injection solid phase extraction (SPE) system was developed for automatic determination of trace level concentrations of metals. The potentials of this novel scheme, coupled to flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS), were demonstrated for trace cadmium and lead determination in environmental water samples. The method was based on on-line chelate complex formation of target species with ammonium diethyldithiophosphate (DDTP), retention onto the surface of reversed-phase poly(divinylbenzene-N-vinylpyrrolidone) co-polymeric beads (Oasis HLB) and elution with methanol prior to atomization. A special PVC adapter was designed for easy and rapid replacement of the commercially available SPE cartridge. All main chemical and hydrodynamic parameters affecting the complex formation, sorption and elution of the analyte were optimized thoroughly. Moreover, the effect of potential interfering species occurring in environmental samples was also explored. For 90 s preconcentration time, enhancement factors of 155 and 180, detection limits (3s) of 0.09 μg L− 1 and 0.9 μg L− 1 and relative standard deviations (R.S.D.) of 2.9% (at 4.0 μg L− 1) and 2.6% (at 20.0 μg L− 1) were obtained for cadmium and lead, respectively, with a sample throughput of 24 h− 1. The measurement trueness of the developed method was evaluated by analyzing a certified reference material and spiked environmental water samples. The proposed method is well suited to detect the target elements at concentration levels below the maximum allowed concentrations endorsed by the European Framework Directive (2008/105/EC) in inland and coastal waters.  相似文献

A novel solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbent, humic acid-bonded silica (HAS), was prepared. Humic acids (HAs) were grafted onto silica matrices via an amide linkage between humyl chloride and the amido terminus of 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTS)-silica gel. The resulting material was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, elemental analysis, and nitrogen adsorption analysis. This sorbent exhibits an excellent adsorption capacity for some electron-abundant analytes owing to its peculiar structure. In this paper, we choose benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) in oil as a probe to validate the adsorption capacity of the material. Thus a fast, cheap and simple SPE method with humic acid-bonded silica cartridge for edible oil clean-up, followed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence detection was established. The effects of experimental variables, such as washing and elution solvents, and the amount of sorbents have been studied. The recoveries of BaP in edible oils spiked at 0.2-100 μg kg−1 were in the range of 78.8-102.7% with relative standard deviations ranging between 1.3 and 9.3%; the limit of detection was -0.06 μg kg−1.  相似文献

In this paper, the conversion of azoxystrobin in a strongly fluorescent degradation product by UV irradiation with quantitative purposes and its fluorimetric determination are reported for the first time. A multicommuted flow injection-solid phase spectroscopy (FI-SPS) system combined with photochemically-induced fluorescence (PIF) is developed for the determination of azoxystrobin in grapes, must and wine. Grape samples were homogenized and extracted with methanol and further cleaned-up by solid-phase extraction on C18 silica gel. Wine samples were solid-phase extracted on C18 sorbent using dichloromethane as eluent. Recoveries of azoxystrobin from spiked grapes (0.5-2.0 mg Kg−1), must (0.5-2.0 μg mL−1) and wine (0.5-2.0 μg mL−1) were 84.0-87.6%, 95.5-105.9% and 88.5-111.2%, respectively. The quantification limit for grapes was 0.021 mg Kg−1, being within European Union regulations, and 18 μg L−1 and 8 μg L−1 for must and wine, respectively.  相似文献

Adsorption properties of the clay mineral montmorillonite in the potassium homoionic form (KMT) was investigated to achieve the extraction and concentration of the herbicides atrazine (AT) and propazine (PROP), as well as the main degradation products of atrazine, namely deethylatrazine (DEA), deisopropylatrazine (DIA) and hydroxyatrazine (ATOH). A batch approach was proposed, with recovery percentages for AT, PROP and DIA higher than 90% at concentrations of 0.50 and 2.50 μg L−1. For DEA and ATOH, however, low recoveries were obtained. For DEA, this fact can be explained by its low Kd with KMT, contrary to ATOH, which interacts strongly with the mineral surface, hindering the complete desorption and hence, generating low recovery percentages. The influence of pH, ionic strength and humic acid was studied, and a comparison with the C18 phase as SPE cartridges was carried out. Montmorillonite showed a similar performance to commercial cartridge for concentrations of AT, DEA and PROP, but better recoveries for DIA was obtained using the clay mineral. For ATOH the recovery was also higher on the clay mineral, although for this compound the most suitable SPE cartridge is constituted by cation exchange resin. After the concentration and elution steps, the 0.50 and 2.50 μg L−1 gave chromatographic peak areas that could be easily quantified with an analytical curve obtained in the concentration range between 7.5 and 100 μg L−1. The obtained concentration factors are suitable to allow the application of the method to the monitoring of triazine residues in drinking water.  相似文献

The eggshell membrane (ESM) contains several surface functional groups such as amines, amides and carboxylic groups with potential as SPE adsorbent for the retention of target species of interest. In this paper, the potential use of ESM, a typical biomaterial, as solid-phase extraction (SPE) adsorbent is evaluated for analysis of trace arsenic(V) in environmental water samples in combination with hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry (HG-AFS). In order to obtain the satisfactory recovery of arsenic(V), various parameters including the desorption and enrichment conditions such as pH, the flow rate and the volume of sample solution, the amount of ESM and the content of sodium chloride were systematically optimized and the effects of co-existed ions were also investigated in detail. Under the optimal conditions, arsenic(V) could be easily extracted by the ESM packed cartridge and the breakthrough adsorption capacity was found to be 3.9 μg g−1. The favorable limit of detection (LOD) for arsenic(V) was found to be 0.001 μg L−1 with an enrichment factor of 33.3, and the relative standard deviations (R.S.Ds) was 2.1% for 0.6 μg L−1 arsenic (n = 11). The reproducibility among columns was satisfactory (R.S.D. among columns is less than 5%). The proposed method has been successfully applied to analysis of arsenic(V) in aqueous environmental samples, which suggests the ESM can be an excellent SPE adsorbent for arsenic(V) pretreatment and enrichment from real water samples.  相似文献

Bismuth and Sb were evaluated as internal standards (IS) to minimize matrix effects on the direct and simultaneous determination of As, Cu, and Pb in cachaça by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry using W-coated platform plus Pd-Mg(NO3)2 as modifier. For 20 μL injected sample, calibration within the 0.5-10 μg L−1 As, 100-1000 μg L−1 Cu and 0.5-30 μg L−1 Pb intervals were established using the ratios As absorbance to Sb absorbance, Cu absorbance to Bi absorbance and Pb absorbance to Bi absorbance versus analytes concentration, respectively. Typical linear correlations of 0.998, 0.999 and 0.999 were, respectively, obtained. The proposed method was applied for direct determination of As, Cu and Pb in 10 commercial cachaça samples and results were in agreement with those obtained by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry at 95% confidence level. The found characteristic masses were 30 pg As, 274 pg Cu and 39 pg Pb. The useful lifetime of the graphite tube was around 760 firings. Recoveries of As, Cu and Pb added to cachaça samples varied, respectively, from 98% to 109%, 97% to 108% and 98% to 104% with internal standards and from 48% to 54%, 53% to 92% and 62% to 97% without internal standards. The limits of detection were 0.13 μg L−1 As, 22 μg L−1 Cu and 0.05 μg L−1 Pb. The relative standard deviations (n = 12) for a spiked sample containing 20 μg L−1 As, Pb and 500 μg L−1 Cu were 1.6%, 1.0%, and 1.8% with IS and 4.3%, 5.2%, and 5.5% without IS.  相似文献

In this paper, the potential use of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as solid phase extraction (SPE) adsorbent was evaluated for preconcentration of linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) using ion-pair (IP)-SPE with tetrabutylammonium hydroxide (TBAH). The LAS homologues present in the aqueous sample were ion-paired with TBAH and the solution was passed through the MWCNT cartridges. The analytes retained in the cartridge were eluted with methanol and the concentrated methanol extract was analysed by HPLC-UV. In order to obtain the satisfactory recovery of LAS homologues, various parameters including the type and amount of the ion-pair reagents, the desorption and enrichment conditions such as the effect of eluent and its volume, pH, the flow rate, the ultrasonic time of sample, and the volume of sample solution were systematically optimized. Under the optimal conditions, LAS homologues could be easily extracted by the proposed SPE cartridge. The favorable limits of detection (LOD) for LAS homologues were in the range from 0.02 to 0.03 μg L−1, and the relative standard deviations (RSDs) were 1.55-2.54% for 10 μg L−1 LAS (n = 6). The proposed method has been successfully applied for the analysis of LAS homologues in aqueous environmental samples. A comparison study with ion-pair solid extraction on MWCNTs, C8 and C18 as adsorbents for LAS demonstrated that ion pair-based solid extraction on MWCNTs adsorbent was advantageous over C8 and C18, the widely used traditional adsorbents.  相似文献

Solid-phase extraction (SPE) of phenol and chlorophenols, their derivatization to methyl ethers, headspace single-drop microextraction (HS-SDME) of methyl ethers using 1-butanol as extraction solvent, and direct transfer of the drop into the injector for high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD) have been reported. A flanged-end polytetrafluoroethylene sleeve, 3 mm × 0.5 mm, placed at the tip of the syringe needle, allowed the use of 10 μL solvent drop for extraction. The procedure has been optimized for variables involved in SPE and HS-SDME. A rectilinear relationship was obtained between the amount of chlorophenols and peak area ratio of their methyl ethers/internal standard (4-methoxyacetophenone) in the range 0.01-10 mg L−1, correlation coefficient in the range 0.9956-0.9996, and limit of detection in the range 1.5-3.9 μg L−1 when HS-SDME alone was used for sample preparation. When using coupled SPE and HS-SDME, the linear range obtained was 0.1-500 μg L−1, correlation coefficient in the range 0.9974-0.9998, and the limit of detection in the range 0.04-0.08 μg L−1. Spiked real samples have been analyzed with adequate accuracy, and application of the method has been demonstrated for the analysis of chlorophenols formed upon bamboo pulp bleaching.  相似文献
