In this paper, we prove a theoretical expression for subdifferentials of lower semicontinuous and homogeneous functions. The theoretical expression is a generalization of the Euler formula for differentiable homogeneous functions. As applications of the generalized Euler formula, we consider constrained optimization problems defined by nonsmooth positively homogeneous functions in smooth Banach spaces. Some results concerning Karush–Kuhn–Tucker points and necessary optimality conditions for the optimization problems are obtained.  相似文献

We present second-order subdifferentials of Clarke's type of C 1,1 functions, defined in Banach spaces with separable duals. One of them is an extension of the generalized Hessian matrix of such functions in n , considered by J. B. H.-Urruty, J. J. Strodiot and V. H. Nguyen. Various properties of these subdifferentials are proved. Second-order optimality conditions (necessary, sufficient) for constrained minimization problems with C 1,1 data are obtained. This work was partially supported by the National Foundation for Scientific Investigations in Bulgaria under contract No. MM-406/1994.  相似文献

In this paper we study the feasibility and solvability of vector variational inequalities with moving cones in Banach spaces. We show that the strict feasibility implies solvability of vector variational inequalities with moving cones under suitable conditions. Further we show that under suitable conditions, the homogeneous vector variational inequality with a moving cone is solvable whenever it is feasible. As consequences, we obtain the solvability of vector variational inequalities with feasibility assumptions in Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we first introduce the concept of Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of a generalized mixed variational inequality in Banach spaces and establish some characterizations of its Levitin-Polyak well-posedness. Under suitable conditions, we prove that the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of a generalized mixed variational inequality is equivalent to the Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of a corresponding inclusion problem and a corresponding fixed point problem. We also derive some conditions under which a generalized mixed variational inequality in Banach spaces is Levitin-Polyak well-posed.  相似文献

We prove a mean-value theorem for lower semicontinuous functions on a large class of Banach spaces which contains the class of Asplund spaces, in particular reflexive Banach spaces and Banach spaces with a separable dual. It involves the lower subdifferential (or contingent subdifferential) and the Fréchet subdifferentials, which are among the smallest subdifferentials known to date. It follows that the estimates which it provides require weak assumptions and are accurate. When the function is locally Lipschitzian, we get a simple statement which refines the Lebourg mean-value theorem.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized implicit vector variational-like inequalities in Hausdorff topological vector spaces and Banach spaces which contain implicit vector equilibrium problems, implicit vector variational inequalities and implicit vector complementarity problems as special cases. We derive some new results by using the KKM–Fan theorem, under compact and noncompact assumptions on underlying convex sets.  相似文献

We study the Moreau regularization process for functions satisfying a general growth condition on general Banach spaces. We give differentiability criteria and we study the relationships between the subdifferentials of the function and the subdifferentials of its approximations. We also consider the Lasry-Lions process.  相似文献

In this paper we give verifiable conditions in terms of limiting Fréchet subdifferentials ensuring the metric regularity of a multivalued functionF(x)=–g(x)+D. We apply our results to the study of the limiting Fréchet subdifferential of a composite function defined on a Banach space.  相似文献

In this paper we show that the positive semi-definiteness (PSD) of the Fréchet and/or Mordukhovich second-order subdifferentials can recognize the convexity of C1 functions. However, the PSD is insufficient for ensuring the convexity of a locally Lipschitz function in general. A complete characterization of strong convexity via the second-order subdifferentials is also given.  相似文献

In the present paper, we introduce and study a new proximal normal cone in reflexive Banach spaces in terms of a generalized projection operator. Two new variants of generalized proximal subdifferentials are also introduced in reflexive smooth Banach spaces. The density theorem for both proximal subdifferentials has been proved in p-uniformly convex and q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. Various important properties and applications of our concepts are also proved.  相似文献

In this paper, we identify a favorable class of nonsmooth functions for which local weak sharp minima can be completely characterized in terms of normal cones and subdifferentials, or tangent cones and subderivatives, or their mixture in finite-dimensional spaces. The results obtained not only extend previous ones in the literature, but also allow us to provide new types of criteria for local weak sharpness. Applications of the developed theory are given to semi-infinite programming and to a new class of semi-infinite complementarity problems.  相似文献

In this work we study the directional versions of Mordukhovich normal cones to nonsmooth sets, coderivatives of set-valued mappings, and subdifferentials of extended-real-valued functions in the framework of general Banach spaces. We establish some characterizations and basic properties of these constructions, and then develop calculus including sum rules and chain rules involving smooth functions. As an application, we also explore the upper estimates of the directional Mordukhovich subdifferentials and singular subdifferentials of marginal functions.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with fixed point computational problems by strongly convergent methods involving strictly pseudocontractive mappings in smooth Banach spaces. First, we prove that the S-iteration process recently introduced by Sahu in [14] converges strongly to a unique fixed point of a mapping T, where T is κ-strongly pseudocontractive mapping from a nonempty, closed and convex subset C of a smooth Banach space into itself. It is also shown that the hybrid steepest descent method converges strongly to a unique solution of a variational inequality problem with respect to a finite family of λi-strictly pseudocontractive mappings from C into itself. Our results extend and improve some very recent theorems in fixed point theory and variational inequality problems. Particularly, the results presented here extend some theorems of Reich (1980) [1] and Yamada (2001) [15] to a general class of λ-strictly pseudocontractive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to prove by using a new hybrid method a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the set of solutions for a generalized equilibrium problem, the set of solutions for a variational inequality problem and the set of common fixed points for a pair of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. As applications, we utilize our results to obtain some new results for finding a solution of an equilibrium problem, a fixed point problem and a common zero-point problem for maximal monotone mappings in Banach spaces.  相似文献

We obtain some point-based sufficient conditions for the metric regularity in Robinson’s sense of implicit multifunctions in a finite-dimensional setting. The new implicit function theorem (which is very different from the preceding results of Ledyaev and Zhu [Yu.S. Ledyaev, Q.J. Zhu, Implicit multifunctions theorems, Set-Valued Anal. 7 (1999) 209–238], Ngai and Théra [H.V. Ngai, M. Théra, Error bounds and implicit multifunction theorem in smooth Banach spaces and applications to optimization, Set-Valued Anal. 12 (2004) 195–223], Lee, Tam and Yen [G.M. Lee, N.N. Tam, N.D. Yen, Normal coderivative for multifunctions and implicit function theorems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 338 (2008) 11–22]) can be used for analyzing parametric constraint systems as well as parametric variational systems. Our main tools are the concept of normal coderivative due to Mordukhovich and the corresponding theory of generalized differentiation.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new class of mixed quasi-variational-like inequalities in reflexive Banach spaces. By applying a minimax inequality due to Ding–Tan and a lemma due to Chang, we establish some existence and uniqueness results of solution for the mixed quasi-variational-like inequality. Next, by using a KKM theorem due to Fan and an auxiliary principle technique due to Cohen, we suggest two iterative algorithms and study the convergence criteria of iterative sequences generated by the iterative algorithms. Our results extend, improve and unify several known results in the literature.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the study of the Clarke/circatangent coderivatives of the efficient point multifunction of parametric vector optimization problems in Banach spaces. We provide inner/outer estimates for evaluating the Clarke/circatangent coderivative of this multifunction in a broad class of conventional vector optimization problems in the presence of geometrical, operator and (finite and infinite) functional constraints. Examples are given for analyzing and illustrating the obtained results.  相似文献

Under a mild regularity assumption, we derive an exact formula for the Fréchet coderivative and some estimates for the Mordukhovich coderivative of the normal cone mappings of perturbed polyhedra in reflexive Banach spaces. Our focus point is a positive linear independence condition, which is a relaxed form of the linear independence condition employed recently by Henrion et al. (2010) [1], and Nam (2010) [3]. The formulae obtained allow us to get new results on solution stability of affine variational inequalities under linear perturbations. Thus, our paper develops some aspects of the work of Henrion et al. (2010) [1] Nam (2010) [3] Qui (in press) [12] and Yao and Yen (2009) [6] and [7].  相似文献

We study a mathematical model which describes the antiplane shear deformations of a cylinder in frictional contact with a rigid foundation. The process is dynamic, the material behavior is described with a linearly viscoelastic constitutive law and friction is modeled with a general subdifferential boundary condition. We derive a variational formulation of the model which is in a form of an evolutionary hemivariational inequality for the displacement field. Then we prove the existence of a weak solution to the model. The proof is based on an abstract result for second order evolutionary inclusions in Banach spaces. Also, we prove that, under additional assumptions, the weak solution to the model is unique. We complete our results with concrete examples of friction laws for which our results are valid.  相似文献
