Consider a domain , and two analytic matrix-valued functions functions . Consider also points and positive integers n 1, n 2, . . . , n N . We are interested in the existence of an analytic function such that X(ω) is invertible, and G(ω) coincides with X(ω)F(ω)X(ω)−1 up to order n j at the point ω j . We will see that such a function exists provided that F j ),G j ) have cyclic vectors, and the characteristic polynomials of F,G coincide up to order n j at ω j . This allows one to give a short proof to a result of Huang, Marcantognini and Young concerning spectral interpolation in the unit disk. Let E be a Galois extension of ℚ of degree l, not necessarily solvable. In this paper we first prove that the L-function L(s, π) attached to an automorphic cuspidal representation π of cannot be factored nontrivially into a product of L-functions over E. Next, we compare the n-level correlation of normalized nontrivial zeros of L(s, π1)…L(s, π k ), where π j , j = 1,…, k, are automorphic cuspidal representations of , with that of L(s,π). We prove a necessary condition for L(s, π) having a factorization into a product of L-functions attached to automorphic cuspidal representations of specific , j = 1,…,k. In particular, if π is not invariant under the action of any nontrivial σ ∈ Gal E/ℚ, then L(s, π) must equal a single L-function attached to a cuspidal representation of and π has an automorphic induction, provided L(s, π) can factored into a product of L-functions over ℚ. As E is not assumed to be solvable over ℚ, our results are beyond the scope of the current theory of base change and automorphic induction. Our results are unconditional when m,m 1,…,m k are small, but are under Hypothesis H and a bound toward the Ramanujan conjecture in other cases. For a process X(t)=Σ j=1 M g j (t j (), where gj(t) are nonrandom given functions, is a stationary vector-valued Gaussian process, Eξk(t) = 0, and Eξk(0) Eξl(τ) = r kl(τ), we construct an estimate for the functions r kl(τ) on the basis of observations X(t), t ∈ [0, T]. We establish conditions for the asymptotic normality of as T → ∞. We consider the problem of the optimal choice of parameters of the estimate depending on observations. We consider a properly converging sequence of non-characters in the dual space of a thread-like group and investigate the limit set and the strength with which the sequence converges to each of its limits. We show that, if (π k ) is a properly convergent sequence of non-characters in , then there is a trade-off between the number of limits σ which are not characters, their degrees, and the strength of convergence i σ to each of these limits (Theorem 3.2). This enables us to describe various possibilities for maximal limit sets consisting entirely of non-characters (Theorem 4.6). In Sect. 5, we show that if (π k ) is a properly converging sequence of non-characters in and if the limit set contains a character then the intersection of the set of characters (which is homeomorphic to ) with the limit set has at most two components. In the case of two components, each is a half-plane. In Theorem 7.7, we show that if a sequence has a character as a cluster point then, by passing to a properly convergent subsequence and then a further subsequence, it is possible to find a real null sequence (c k ) (with ) such that, for a in the Pedersen ideal of C *(G N ), exists (not identically zero) and is given by a sum of integrals over .  相似文献

For an additive subgroup G of a field F of characteristic zero, a Lie algebra B(G) of Block type is defined with basis {Lα,i| α∈G, i∈Z+} and relations [Lα,i, Lβ,j] = (β-α)Lα+β,i+j+(αj-βi)Lα+β,Lα+β,i+j-1.It is proved that an irreducible highest weight B(Z)-module is quasifinite if and only if it is a proper quotient of a Verma module. Furthermore, for a total order λ on G and any ∧∈B(G)0^*(the dual space of B(G)0 = span{L0,i|i∈Z+}), a Verma B(G)-module M(∧,λ) is defined, and the irreducibility of M(A,λ) is completely determined.  相似文献

The asymptotic expansion for small |t| of the trace of the wave kernel ∧↑μ(t) =∑v=1^∞exp(-it μv^1/2), where i= √-1 and {μv}v=1^∞ are the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian -△=-∑β=1^2(δ/δx^β)^2 in the (x^1, x^2)-plane, is studied for a multi-connected vibrating membrane Ω in R^2 surrounded by simply connected bounded domains Ωj with smooth boundaries δΩj(j=1,...,n), where a finite number of piecewise smooth Robin boundary conditions on the piecewise smooth components Гi(i=1 κj-1,...,κj) of the boundaries δΩj are considered, such that δΩj=∪i=1 κj-1^κj Гi and κ0=0. The basic problem is to extract information on the geometry of Ω using the wave equation approach. Some geometric quantities of Ω (e.g. the area of Ω, the total lengths of its boundary, the curvature of its boundary, the number of the holes of Ω, etc.) are determined from the asymptotic expansion of the trace of the wave kernel ∧↑μ(t) for small |t|.  相似文献

The class of finitely presented groups is an extension of the class of triangle groups studied recently. These groups are finite and their orders depend on the Lucas numbers. In this paper, by considering the three presentations
and
we study Mon(π i ), i=1,2,3, and Sg(π i ), i=2,3, for their finiteness. In this investigation, we find their relationship with Gp(π i ), where Mon(π), Sg(π) and Gp(π) are used for the monoid, the semigroup and the group presented by the presentation π, respectively.  相似文献

Let be a finitely generated extension field of ℚ, andα ij(1⩽i⩽m,1⩽j⩽n) be some complex numbers. Let (k=1,2,3) be fields obtained by adjoining to the numbers {α ij exp(αiβj)}, {αi, exp(αiβj)}, and {exp(αiβj)}, respectively. In the present note the relation between the transcendental degree of over and the transcendence type of over ℚ is given. This work was completed in Dpt. The asymptotic expansions of the trace of the heat kernel θ(t)=∑^∞v=1^exp(-tλv) for small positive t,where {λv} are the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian -△n=-∑^ni=1(D/Dx^1)^2 in R^2(n=2 or 3),are studied for a general annular bounded domain Ω with a smooth inner boundary DΩ1 and a smooth outer boundary DΩ2,where a finite number of piecewise smooth Robin boundary conditions(D/Dnj γh)Ф=0 on the components Гj(j= 1,...,m) of (DΩ1 and on the components Гj (j=k 1,…,m) of of DΩ2 are considered such that DΩl=U^kj=lГj and DΩ2= U^m=k 1Гj and where the coefficients γj(j=1,...,m) are piecewise smooth positive functions. Some applications of θ(t) for an ideal gas enclosed in the general annular bounded domain Ω are given. Further results are also obtained.  相似文献

We consider a multiply connected domain where denotes the unit disk and denotes the closed disk centered at with radius r j for j = 1, . . . , n. We show that if T is a bounded linear operator on a Banach space X whose spectrum contains ∂Ω and does not contain the points λ1, λ2, . . . , λ n , and the operators T and r j (T − λ j I)−1 are polynomially bounded, then there exists a nontrivial common invariant subspace for T * and (T − λ j I)*-1.  相似文献

The trace of the wave kernel μ(t) =∑ω=1^∞ exp(-itEω^1/2), where {Eω}ω^∞=1 are the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian -△↓2 = -∑k^3=1 (δ/δxk)^2 in the (x^1, x^2, x^3)-space, is studied for a variety of bounded domains, where -∞ 〈 t 〈 ∞ and i= √-1. The dependence of μ (t) on the connectivity of bounded domains and the Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin boundary conditions are analyzed. Particular attention is given for a multi-connected vibrating membrane Ω in Ra surrounded by simply connected bounded domains Ω j with smooth bounding surfaces S j (j = 1,……, n), where a finite number of piecewise smooth Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin boundary conditions on the piecewise smooth components Si^* (i = 1 + kj-1,……, kj) of the bounding surfaces S j are considered, such that S j = Ui-1+kj-1^kj Si^*, where k0=0. The basic problem is to extract information on the geometry Ω by using the wave equation approach from a complete knowledge of its eigenvalues. Some geometrical quantities of Ω (e.g. the volume, the surface area, the mean curvuture and the Gaussian curvature) are determined from the asymptotic expansion ofexpansion of μ(t) for small │t│.  相似文献

Let k be a field of characteristic q, a smooth geometrically connected curve defined over k with function field . Let A/K be a non-constant abelian variety defined over K of dimension d. We assume that q = 0 or >  2d + 1. Let pq be a prime number and a finite geometrically Galois and étale cover defined over k with function field . Let (τ′, B′) be the K′/k-trace of A/K. We give an upper bound for the -corank of the Selmer group Sel p (A × K K′), defined in terms of the p-descent map. As a consequence, we get an upper bound for the -rank of the Lang–Néron group A(K′)/τ′B′(k). In the case of a geometric tower of curves whose Galois group is isomorphic to , we give sufficient conditions for the Lang–Néron group of A to be uniformly bounded along the tower. Suppose a discrete amenable group G acts freely on a probability space (X, , μ) and {g i } is any mixing sequence of group elements, that is μ(g i −1 AB) → μ(A)μ(B) for all A, B ∈ . Then given any finite partition P and ε > 0 there is a subsequence {h j } of {g i } and a partition P′ differing from P on a set of measure less than ε such that the partitions {gP: g ∈ IP′{h j }} are jointly independent, where IP′{h j } denotes the set

Let V n (q) denote a vector space of dimension n over the field with q elements. A set of subspaces of V n (q) is a partition of V n (q) if every nonzero vector in V n (q) is contained in exactly one subspace in . A uniformly resolvable design is a pairwise balanced design whose blocks can be resolved in such a way that all blocks in a given parallel class have the same size. A partition of V n (q) containing a i subspaces of dimension n i for 1 ≤ ik induces a uniformly resolvable design on q n points with a i parallel classes with block size , 1 ≤ ik, and also corresponds to a factorization of the complete graph into -factors, 1 ≤ ik. We present some sufficient and some necessary conditions for the existence of certain vector space partitions. For the partitions that are shown to exist, we give the corresponding uniformly resolvable designs. We also show that there exist uniformly resolvable designs on q n points where corresponding partitions of V n (q) do not exist. A. D. In this paper, we investigate an eigenvalue problem of Dirichlet Laplacian on a bounded domain Ω in an n-dimensional Euclidean space R n . If λ k+1 is the (k + 1)th eigenvalue of Dirichlet Laplacian on Ω, then, we prove that, for n ≥ 41 and and, for any n and with , where j p,k denotes the k-th positive zero of the standard Bessel function J p (x) of the first kind of order p. From the asymptotic formula of Weyl and the partial solution of the conjecture of Pólya, we know that our estimates are optimal in the sense of order of k.Q.-M. The celebrated Erd?s, Faber and Lovász Conjecture may be stated as follows: Any linear hypergraph on ν points has chromatic index at most ν. We show that the conjecture is equivalent to the following assumption: For any graph , where ν(G) denotes the linear intersection number and χ(G) denotes the chromatic number of G. As we will see for any graph G = (V, E), where denotes the complement of G. Hence, at least G or fulfills the conjecture.   相似文献
