Two iron–nitrosyl–porphyrins, nitrosyl[meso‐tetrakis(3,4,5‐trimethoxyphenylporphyrin]iron(II) acetic acid solvate ( 3 ) and nitrosyl[meso‐tetrakis(4‐methoxyphenylporphyrin]iron(II) CH2Cl2 solvate ( 4 ), were synthesized in quantitative yield by using a modified procedure with nitrous acid, followed by oxygen‐atom abstraction by triphenylphosphine under an argon atmosphere. These nitrosyl porphyrins are in the {FeNO}7 class. Under an argon atmosphere, these compounds are relatively stable over a broad range of pH values (4–8) but, under aerobic conditions, they release nitric oxide faster at high pH values than that at low pH values. The generated nitric‐oxide‐free iron(III)–porphyrin can be re‐nitrosylated by using nitrous acid and triphenylphosphine. The rapid release of NO from these FeII complexes at high pH values seems to be similar to that in nitrophorin, a nitric‐oxide‐transport protein, which formally possesses FeIII. However, because the release of NO occurs from ferrous–nitrosyl–porphyrin under aerobic conditions, these compounds are more closely related to nitrobindin, a recently discovered heme protein.  相似文献

Aerogels are fascinating materials that can be used for a wide range of applications, one of which is electrocatalysis of the important oxygen reduction reaction. In their inorganic form, aerogels can have ultrahigh catalytic site density, high surface area, and tunable physical properties and chemical structures—important features in heterogeneous catalysis. Herein, we report on the synthesis and electrocatalytic properties of an iron–porphyrin aerogel. 5,10,15,20‐(Tetra‐4‐aminophenyl)porphyrin (H2TAPP) and FeII were used as building blocks of the aerogel, which was later heat‐treated at 600 °C to enhance electronic conductivity and catalytic activity, while preserving its macrostructure. The resulting material has a very high concentration of atomically dispersed catalytic sites (9.7×1020 sites g?1) capable of catalyzing the oxygen reduction reaction in alkaline solution (Eonset=0.92 V vs. RHE, TOF=0.25 e? site?1 s?1 at 0.80 V vs. RHE).  相似文献

The present study focuses on the formation and reactivity of hydroperoxo–iron(III) porphyrin complexes formed in the [FeIII(tpfpp)X]/H2O2/HOO? system (TPFPP=5,10,15,20‐tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)‐21H,23H‐porphyrin; X=Cl? or CF3SO3?) in acetonitrile under basic conditions at ?15 °C. Depending on the selected reaction conditions and the active form of the catalyst, the formation of high‐spin [FeIII(tpfpp)(OOH)] and low‐spin [FeIII(tpfpp)(OH)(OOH)] could be observed with the application of a low‐temperature rapid‐scan UV/Vis spectroscopic technique. Axial ligation and the spin state of the iron(III) center control the mode of O? O bond cleavage in the corresponding hydroperoxo porphyrin species. A mechanistic changeover from homo‐ to heterolytic O? O bond cleavage is observed for high‐ [FeIII(tpfpp)(OOH)] and low‐spin [FeIII(tpfpp)(OH)(OOH)] complexes, respectively. In contrast to other iron(III) hydroperoxo complexes with electron‐rich porphyrin ligands, electron‐deficient [FeIII(tpfpp)(OH)(OOH)] was stable under relatively mild conditions and could therefore be investigated directly in the oxygenation reactions of selected organic substrates. The very low reactivity of [FeIII(tpfpp)(OH)(OOH)] towards organic substrates implied that the ferric hydroperoxo intermediate must be a very sluggish oxidant compared with the iron(IV)–oxo porphyrin π‐cation radical intermediate in the catalytic oxygenation reactions of cytochrome P450.  相似文献

Many iron‐containing enzymes involve metal–oxygen oxidants to carry out O2‐dependent transformation reactions. However, the selective oxidation of C? H and C?C bonds by biomimetic complexes using O2 remains a major challenge in bioinspired catalysis. The reactivity of iron–oxygen oxidants generated from an FeII–benzilate complex of a facial N3 ligand were thus investigated. The complex reacted with O2 to form a nucleophilic oxidant, whereas an electrophilic oxidant, intercepted by external substrates, was generated in the presence of a Lewis acid. Based on the mechanistic studies, a nucleophilic FeII–hydroperoxo species is proposed to form from the benzilate complex, which undergoes heterolytic O? O bond cleavage in the presence of a Lewis acid to generate an FeIV–oxo–hydroxo oxidant. The electrophilic iron–oxygen oxidant selectively oxidizes sulfides to sulfoxides, alkenes to cis‐diols, and it hydroxylates the C? H bonds of alkanes, including that of cyclohexane.  相似文献

The present study focuses on the oxidation of the water‐soluble and water‐insoluble iron(III)–porphyrin complexes [FeIII(TMPS)] and [FeIII(TMP)] (TMPS=meso‐tetrakis(2,4,6‐trimethyl‐3‐sulfonatophenyl)porphyrinato, TMP=meso‐tetrakis(2,4,6‐trimethylphenyl)porphyrinato), respectively, by meta‐chloroperoxybenzoic acid (m‐CPBA) in aqueous methanol and aqueous acetonitrile solutions of varying acidity. With the application of a low‐temperature rapid‐scan UV/Vis spectroscopic technique, the complete spectral changes that accompany the formation and decomposition of the primary product of O? O bond cleavage in the acylperoxoiron(III)–porphyrin intermediate [(P)FeIII? OOX] (P=porphyrin) were successfully recorded and characterized. The results clearly indicate that the O? O bond in m‐CPBA is heterolytically cleaved by the studied iron(III)–porphyrin complexes independent of the acidity of the reaction medium. The existence of two different oxidation products under acidic and basic conditions is suggested not to be the result of a mechanistic changeover in the mode of O? O bond cleavage on going from low to high pH values, but rather the effect of environmental changes on the actual product of the O? O bond cleavage in [(P)FeIII? OOX]. The oxoiron(IV)–porphyrin cation radical formed as a primary oxidation product over the entire pH range can undergo a one‐ or two‐electron reduction depending on the selected reaction conditions. The present study provides valuable information for the interpretation and improved understanding of results obtained in product‐analysis experiments.  相似文献

The excellent detection sensitivity in various matrices of T‐2 toxin (T‐2), which has cytotoxic and immunosuppressive effects in DNA and RNA synthesis, is a highly desirable characteristic. A sensitive molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensor was constructed for the selective detection of T‐2. In this study, iron ions (Fe3+) were introduced to increase the chelation of the metal ions and templates for preparing molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). With the increased chelation of the metal ions and templates, the selectivity and sensitivity of the MIPs were effectively improved. The imprinted sensor was successfully employed to detect T‐2 in cereals and human serum samples.  相似文献

The electronic structure of iron‐oxo porphyrin π‐cation radical complex Por·+FeIV?O (S? H) has been studied for doublet and quartet electronic states by means of two methods of the quantum chemical topology analysis: electron localization function (ELF) η(r) and electron density ρ(r). The formation of this complex leads to essential perturbation of the topological structure of the carbon–carbon bonds in porphyrin moiety. The double C?C bonds in the pyrrole anion subunits, represented by pair of bonding disynaptic basins Vi=1,2(C,C) in isolated porphyrin, are replaced by single attractor V(C,C)i=1–20 after complexation with the Fe cation. The iron–nitrogen bonds are covalent dative bonds, N→Fe, described by the disynaptic bonding basins V(Fe,N)i=1–4, where electron density is almost formed by the lone pairs of the N atoms. The nature of the iron–oxygen bond predicted by the ELF topological analysis, shows a main contribution of the electrostatic interaction, Feδ+···Oδ?, as long as no attractors between the C(Fe) and C(O) core basins were found, although there are common surfaces between the iron and oxygen basines and coupling between iron and oxygen lone pairs, that could be interpreted as a charge‐shift bond. The Fe? S bond, characterized by the disynaptic bonding basin V(Fe,S), is partially a dative bond with the lone pair donated from sulfur atom. The change of electronic state from the doublet (M = 2) to quartet (M = 4) leads to reorganization of spin polarization, which is observed only for the porphyrin skeleton (?0.43e to 0.50e) and S? H bond (?0.55e to 0.52e). © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Gentisate‐1,2‐dioxygenase (GDO), a nonheme iron enzyme in the cupin superfamily, catalyzes the cleavage of the aromatic‐ring of 2,5‐dihydroxybenzoic acid (gentisic acid) to form maleylpyruvic acid in the microbial aerobic degradation of aromatic compounds. To develop a functional model of GDO, we have isolated a nonheme iron(II) complex, [(TpPh2)FeII(DHN‐H)] (TpPh2=hydrotris(3,5‐diphenylpyrazole‐1‐yl)borate, DHN‐H=1,4‐dihydroxy‐2‐naphthoate). In the reaction with O2, the biomimetic complex oxidatively cleaves the aromatic ring of the coordinated substrate with the incorporation of both the oxygen atoms from molecular oxygen into the cleavage product. The presence of para‐hydroxy group on the substrate plays a crucial role in directing the aromatic‐ring cleaving reaction.  相似文献

Solution‐dispersible hyperbranched conjugated polymer nanoparticles (FT‐HBCPNs) consist of an intrinsic crosslinked rigid skeleton structure of both 9,9‐dihexyl‐fluorene and triphenylamine repeating units, and are synthesized via the miniemulsion Suzuki polymerization, and FT‐HBCPNs for highly selective and sensitive Fe3+ fluorescent detection and their application in logic gate at molecular level are successfully developed. FT‐HBCPNs with an average particle size of 10.6 nm can disperse in common organic solvents. FT‐HBCPNs show high selectivity and sensitivity for Fe3+ over other commonly co‐existent metal ions in THF solution with a detection limit of 3.65 × 10?8 mol L?1. Furthermore, homogeneous transparent thin films of FT‐HBCPNs developed by a simple spin‐coating method can be reversibly quenched by Fe3+ with a detection limit of 3.09 × 10?7 mol L?1. Using Fe3+ and EDTA as chemical inputs and the fluorescence intensity signal as outputs, FT‐HBCPNs films can be utilized as a logic gate at molecular level. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Interactions of multivalent anionic porphyrins and their iron(III) complexes with cationic peptides, V3Ba‐L and V3IIIB, which correspond to those of the V3 loop regions of the gp120 envelope proteins of the HIV‐1Ba‐L and HIV‐1IIIB strains, respectively, are studied by UV/Vis, circular dichroism, 1H NMR, and EPR spectroscopy, a microcalorimetric titration method, and anti‐HIV assays. Tetrakis(3,5‐dicarboxylatophenyl)porphyrin (P1), tetrakis[4‐(3,5‐dicarboxylatophenylmethoxy)phenyl]porphyrin (P2), and their ferric complexes (FeIIIP1 and FeIIIP2) were used as the multivalent anionic porphyrins. P1 and FeIIIP1 formed stable complexes with both V3 peptides (binding constant K>106 M ?1) through combined electrostatic and van der Waals interactions. Coordination of the His residues in V3Ba‐L to the iron center of FeIIIP1 also played an important role in the complex stabilization. As P2 and FeIIIP2 form self‐aggregates in aqueous solution even at low concentrations, detailed analysis of their interactions with the V3 peptides could not be performed. To ascertain whether the results obtained in the model system are applicable to a real biological system, anti‐HIV‐1BA‐L and HIV‐1IIIB activity of the porphyrins is examined by multiple nuclear activation of a galactosidase indicator (MAGI) and 3‐(4,5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays. There is little correlation between chemical analysis and actual anti‐HIV activity, and the size rather than the number of the anionic groups of the porphyrin is important for anti‐HIV activity. All the porphyrins show high selectivity, low cytotoxicity, and high viral activity. FeIIIP1 and FeIIIP2 are used for the pharmacokinetic study. Half‐lives of these iron porphyrins in serum of male Wistar rats are around 4 to 6 h owing to strong interaction of these porphyrins with serum albumin.  相似文献

Single‐labeled pyridylporphyrin–DNA conjugates are reported as highly sensitive and selective spectroscopic sensors for mercury(II) ions in water. The effects of chemical structure (thymine versus adenine), number of nucleotides (monomer versus octamer), and porphyrin metalation (Zn versus free base) on the sensitivity and selectivity of mercury(II) detection are explored. The results indicated that pyridylporphyrin rather than the nucleobase plays a crucial role in mercury(II) sensing, because porphyrin conjugates with both adenosine and thymidine exhibited excellent mercury(II) detection. Mercury(II) recognition was shown in emission quenching, as well as in a redshift of the porphyrin Soret band absorption. The limit of detection (LOD, 3σ/slope) of zinc(II) pyridylporphyrin‐5′‐oligodeoxythymidine ( ZnPorT8 ) obtained by fluorescence quenching was calculated to be 21.14 nM . Other metal cations (Zn2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Ca2+, Ni2+, Mg2+, Fe2+, Cu2+, and Na+) did not interfere with the emission and absorption sensing of mercury(II). Free‐base porphyrin–oligothymine conjugate 2HPorT8 displayed similar sensitivity to ZnPorT8 but different selectivity. The results also implied that the sensing properties of porphyrin–deoxythymidine conjugates could potentially be tuned by porphyrin metalation.  相似文献

5‐(8‐Carboxy‐1‐naphthyl)‐10, 5, 20‐tritolyl porphyrin (H3CNTTP) and its iron(III) complexes, [Fe(CNTTP)]2 and [Fe(CNTTP)(N‐MeIm)2], were synthesized and characterized. X‐ray crystallography revealed that the carboxylate group is “hanging” over the porphyrin plane. The rigid framework makes the distance between the carboxylate oxygen and iron in the same porphyrin too long to form a coordination bond. On the other hand, the carboxylate group is not bulky enough to block the axial binding site. In the presence of OH, the carboxylate oxygen is coordinated to iron in the symmetry‐related unit, which led to the dimeric structure, [Fe(CNTTP)]2. In the presence of excess N‐methylimidazole, a six‐coordinate species, [Fe(CNTTP)(N‐MeIm)2], was obtained. In such a structure, CH ··· O interactions between the carboxylate group and imidazole probably play an important role to determine the orientation of imidazole plane. Two imidazole planes have relative parallel orientation. For [Fe(CNTTP)(N‐MeIm)2], 1H NMR shows pyrrole protons at the region –10 to –25 ppm. EPR shows rhombic spectrum. Those suggest [Fe(CNTTP)(N‐MeIm)2] is a type II low‐spin iron(III) porphyrinate.  相似文献

Humic substances (HS) are important iron chelators responsible for the transport of iron from freshwater systems to the open sea, where iron is essential for marine organisms. Evidence suggests that iron complexed to HS comprises the bulk of the iron ligand pool in near‐coastal waters and shelf seas. River‐derived HS have been investigated to study their transport to, and dwell in oceanic waters. A library of iron model compounds and river‐derived Fe‐HS samples were probed in a combined X‐ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and valence‐to‐core X‐ray emission spectroscopy (VtC‐XES) study at the Fe K‐edge. The analyses performed revealed that iron complexation in HS samples is only dependent on oxygen‐containing HS functional groups, such as carboxyl and phenol. The photoreduction mechanism of FeIII‐HS in oceanic conditions into bioavailable aquatic FeII forms, highlights the importance of river‐derived HS as an iron source for marine organisms. Consequently, such mechanisms are a vital component of the upper‐ocean iron biogeochemistry cycle.  相似文献

The conversion of biomass into valuable carbon composites as efficient non‐precious metal oxygen‐reduction electrocatalysts is attractive for the development of commercially viable polymer electrolyte membrane fuel‐cell technology. Herein, a versatile iron–tannin‐framework ink coating strategy is developed to fabricate cellulose‐derived Fe3C/Fe‐N‐C catalysts using commercial filter paper, tissue, or cotton as a carbon source, an iron–tannin framework as an iron source, and dicyandiamide as a nitrogen source. The oxygen reduction performance of the resultant Fe3C/Fe‐N‐C catalysts shows a high onset potential (i.e. 0.98 V vs the reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE)), and large kinetic current density normalized to both geometric electrode area and mass of catalysts (6.4 mA cm?2 and 32 mA mg?1 at 0.80 V vs RHE) in alkaline condition. This method can even be used to prepare efficient catalysts using waste carbon sources, such as used polyurethane foam.  相似文献

Separation of gas molecules with similar physical and chemical properties is challenging but nevertheless highly relevant for chemical processing. By introducing the elliptically shaped molecule, 1,4‐dimethyl‐1,4‐diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, into the interlayer space of a layered silicate, a two‐dimensional microporous network with narrow pore size distribution is generated (MOPS‐5). The regular arrangement of the pillar molecules in MOPS‐5 was confirmed by the occurrence of a 10 band related to a long‐range pseudo‐hexagonal superstructure of pillar molecules in the interlayer space. Whereas with MOPS‐5 for CO2 adsorption, gate‐opening occurs at constant volume by freezing pillar rotation, for CO the interlayer space is expanded at gate‐opening and a classical interdigitated layer type of gate‐opening is observed. The selective nature of the gate‐opening might be used for separation of CO and N2 by pressure swing adsorption.  相似文献

A functional composite of single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) with hematin, a water‐insoluble porphyrin, was first prepared in 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([BMIM][PF6]) ionic liquid. The novel composite in ionic liquid was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and showed a pair of direct redox peaks of the FeIII/FeII couple. The composite–[BMIM][PF6]‐modified glassy carbon electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the reduction of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in neutral media due to the synergic effect among SWNTs, [BMIM][PF6], and porphyrin, which led to a highly sensitive and stable amperometric biosensor for TCA with a linear range from 9.0×10?7 to 1.4×10?4 M . The detection limit was 3.8×10?7 M at a signal‐to‐noise ratio of 3. The TCA biosensor had good analytical performance, such as rapid response, good reproducibility, and acceptable accuracy, and could be successfully used for the detection of residual TCA in polluted water. The functional composite in ionic liquid provides a facile way to not only obtain the direct electrochemistry of water‐insoluble porphyrin, but also construct novel biosensors for monitoring analytes in real environmental samples.  相似文献

A bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst composed of iron carbide (Fe3C) nanoparticles encapsulated by nitrogen doped carbon sheets is reported. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X‐ray absorption near edge structure revealed the presence of several kinds of active sites (Fe?Nx sites, N doping sites) and the modulated electron structure of nitrogen doped carbon sheets. Fe3C@N‐CSs shows excellent oxygen evolution and oxygen reduction catalytic activity owing to the modulated electron structure by encapsulated Fe3C core via biphasic interfaces electron interaction, which can lower the free energy of intermediate, strengthen the bonding strength and enhance conductivity. Meanwhile, the contribution of the Fe?Nx sites, N doping sites and the effect of Fe3C core for the electrocatalytic oxygen reaction is originally revealed. The Fe3C@N‐CSs air electrode‐based zinc‐air battery demonstrates a high open circuit potential of 1.47 V, superior charge‐discharge performance and long lifetime, which outperforms the noble metal‐based zinc‐air battery.  相似文献

FeI centers in iron–sulfide complexes have little precedent in synthetic chemistry despite a growing interest in the possible role of unusually low valent iron in metalloenzymes that feature iron–sulfur clusters. A series of three diiron [(L3Fe)2(μ‐S)] complexes that were isolated and characterized in the low‐valent oxidation states FeII? S? FeII, FeII? S? FeI, and FeI? S? FeI is described. This family of iron sulfides constitutes a unique redox series comprising three nearly isostructural but electronically distinct Fe2(μ‐S) species. Combined structural, magnetic, and spectroscopic studies provided strong evidence that the pseudotetrahedral iron centers undergo a transition to low‐spin S=1/2 states upon reduction from FeII to FeI. The possibility of accessing low‐spin, pseudotetrahedral FeI sites compatible with S2? as a ligand was previously unknown.  相似文献

The use of N‐methylpyrrolidone (NMP) as a co‐solvent in ferric salt catalyzed cross‐coupling reactions is crucial for achieving the highly selective, preparative scale formation of cross‐coupled product in reactions utilizing alkyl Grignard reagents. Despite the critical importance of NMP, the molecular level effect of NMP on in situ formed and reactive iron species that enables effective catalysis remains undefined. Herein, we report the isolation and characterization of a novel trimethyliron(II) ferrate species, [Mg(NMP)6][FeMe3]2 ( 1 ), which forms as the major iron species in situ in reactions of Fe(acac)3 and MeMgBr under catalytically relevant conditions where NMP is employed as a co‐solvent. Importantly, combined GC analysis and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopic studies identified 1 as a highly reactive iron species for the selective formation generating cross‐coupled product. These studies demonstrate that NMP does not directly interact with iron as a ligand in catalysis but, alternatively, interacts with the magnesium cations to preferentially stabilize the formation of 1 over [Fe8Me12]? cluster generation, which occurs in the absence of NMP.  相似文献
