As a counterpart to best approximation in normed linear spaces, best coapproximation was introduced by Franchetti and Furi. In this paper, we apply the above coapproximation, and obtain some results on the upper semi-continuity of cometric projection maps. ABSTRACT

The primary goal of the paper is to establish characteristic properties of (extended) real-valued functions defined on normed vector spaces that admit the representation as the lower envelope (the pointwise infimum) of their minimal (with respect of the pointwise ordering) convex majorants. The results presented in the paper generalize and extend the well-known Demyanov-Rubinov characterization of upper semicontinuous positively homogeneous functions as the lower envelope of exhaustive families of continuous sublinear functions to larger classes of (not necessarily positively homogeneous) functions defined on arbitrary normed spaces. As applications of the above results, we introduce, for nonsmooth functions, a new notion of the Demyanov-Rubinov exhaustive subdifferential at a given point, and show that it generalizes a number of known notions of subdifferentiability, in particular, the Fenchel-Moreau subdifferential of convex functions, the Dini-Hadamard (directional) subdifferential of directionally differentiable functions, and the Φ-subdifferential in the sense of the abstract convexity theory. Some applications of Demyanov-Rubinov exhaustive subdifferentials to extremal problems are considered.  相似文献

By using Gerstewitz functions, we establish a new equilibrium version of Ekeland variational principle, which improves the related results by weakening both the lower boundedness and the lower semi-continuity of the ob jective bimaps. Applying the new version of Ekeland principle, we obtain some existence theorems on solutions for set-valued vector equilibrium problems, where the most used assumption on compactness of domains is weakened. In the setting of complete metric spaces(Z,d), we present an existence result of solutions for set-valued vector equilibrium problems, which only requires that the domain XZ is countably compact in any Hausdorff topology weaker than that induced by d. When(Z, d) is a Féchet space(i.e., a complete metrizable locally convex space), our existence result only requires that the domain XZ is weakly compact. Furthermore, in the setting of non-compact domains, we deduce several existence theorems on solutions for set-valued vector equilibrium problems,which extend and improve the related known results.  相似文献

Usually, finite dimensional linear spaces, locally convex topological linear spaces or normed spaces are the framework for vector and multiojective optimization problems. Likewise, several generalizations of convexity are used in order to obtain new results. In this paper we show several Lagrangian type duality theorems and saddle-points theorems. From these, we obtain some characterizations of several efficient solutions of vector optimization problems (VOP), such as weak and proper efficient solutions in Benson’s sense. These theorems are generalizations of preceding results in two ways. Firstly, because we consider real linear spaces without any particular topology, and secondly because we work with a recently appeared convexlike type of convexity. This new type, designated GVCL in this paper, is based on a new algebraic closure which we named vector closure. In this paper, we apply our new results on quasi-variational inequality problems to generalized quasi-equilibrium problems. Some su?cient conditions on the existence of solutions are shown. In particular, we establish several results on the existence of solutions to fixed points of separately lower and upper semicontinuous (lower and lower, upper and upper) mappings.These generalize some well-known fixed point theorems obtained by previous authors as Browder and Ky Fan, Wu, et al., etc.  相似文献

In this paper, several order-theoretic fixed point theorems are proved on partially ordered topological spaces. Applying these fixed point theorems, we explore the existence and upper order-preservation for parametric vector equilibrium problems. In contrast to the previous results on vector equilibrium problems, the upper order-preservation of solutions is a new subject, which would be useful for predicting the changing trend of solutions to vector equilibrium problems. In addition, neither topological continuity nor convexity of the considered vector-valued bifunction F is required in our results.  相似文献

In the space of whole linear vector semi-infinite optimization problems we consider the mappings putting into correspondence to each problem the set of efficient and weakly efficient points, respectively. We endow the image space with Kuratowski convergence and by means of the lower and upper semi-continuity of these mappings we prove generic well-posedness of the vector optimization problems. The connection between the continuity and some properties of the efficient sets is also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate, in a unified way, the stability of several relaxed minimizers of set optimization problems. To this end, we introduce a topology on vector ordered spaces from which we derive a concept of convergence that allows us to study both the upper and the lower stability of the sets of relaxed minimizers we consider.  相似文献

In 1999, Romaguera and Schellekens introduced the theory of dual complexity spaces as a part of the development of a mathematical (topological) foundation for the complexity analysis of programs and algorithms [S. Romaguera, M.P. Schellekens, Quasi-metric properties of complexity spaces, Topology Appl. 98 (1999) 311-322]. In this work we extend the theory of dual complexity spaces to the case that the complexity functions are valued on an ordered normed monoid. We show that the complexity space of an ordered normed monoid inherits the ordered normed structure. Moreover, the order structure allows us to prove some topological and quasi-metric properties of the new dual complexity spaces. In particular, we show that these complexity spaces are, under certain conditions, Hausdorff and satisfy a kind of completeness. Finally, we develop a connection of our new approach with Interval Analysis.  相似文献

We establish the following theorems: (i) an existence theorem for weak type generalized saddle points; (ii) an existence theorem for strong type generalized saddle points; (iii) a generalized minimax theorem for a vector-valued function. These theorems are generalizations and extensions of the author's recent results. For such extensions, we propose new concepts of convexity and continuity of vector-valued functions, which are weaker than ordinary ones. Some of the proofs are based on a few key observations and also on the Browder coincidence theorem or the Tychonoff fixed-point theorem. Also, the minimax theorem follows from the existence theorem for weak type generalized saddle points. An asymmetric norm is a positive sublinear functional p on a real vector space X satisfying \(x=\theta _X\) whenever \(p(x)=p(-x)=0\). Since the space of all lower semi-continuous linear functionals of an asymmetric normed space is not a linear space, the theory is different in the asymmetric case. The main purpose of this study is to define bounded and continuous linear operators acting between asymmetric cone normed spaces. After examining the differences with symmetric case, we give some results related to Baire’s characterization of completeness in asymmetric cone normed spaces.  相似文献

In vector optimization, several authors have studied the upper and lower semicontinuity for mappings involving constraints in topological vector spaces partially ordered through a cone with nonempty interior. This article deals with a new characterization of lower semicontinuity of vector-valued mappings in normed spaces. We study the link between the lower semicontinuity property of vector-valued mappings and the topological properties of their epigraphs and coepigraphs, respectively. We show that if the objective space is partially ordered by a pointed cone with nonempty interior, then coepigraphs are stable with respect to the procedure of their closure and, moreover, the locally semicompact vector-valued mappings with closed coepigraphs are lower semicontinuous. Using these results we propose some regularization schemes for vector-valued functions. In the case when there are no assumptions on the topological interior of the ordering cone, we introduce a new concept of lower semicontinuity for vector-valued mappings, the so-called epi-lower semicontinuity, which is closely related to the closedness of epigraphs of such mappings, and study their main properties. All principal notions and assertions are illustrated by numerous examples.  相似文献

In this paper, using a generalization of the Fan–Browder fixed point theorem, we obtain a new fixed point theorem for multivalued maps in generalized convex spaces from which we derive several coincidence theorems and existence theorems for maximal elements.
