A low order characteristic‐nonconforming finite element method is proposed for solving a two‐dimensional convection‐dominated transport problem. On the basis of the distinguish property of element, that is, the consistency error can be estimated as order O(h2), one order higher than that of its interpolation error, the superclose result in broken energy norm is derived for the fully discrete scheme. In the process, we use the interpolation operator instead of the so‐called elliptic projection, which is an indispensable tool in the traditional finite element analysis. Furthermore, the global superconvergence is obtained by using the interpolated postprocessing technique. Lastly, some numerical experiments are provided to verify our theoretical analysis. This paper is devoted to the analysis of a linearized theta‐Galerkin finite element method for the time‐dependent coupled systems resulting from microsensor thermistor problems. Hereby, we focus on time discretization based on θ‐time stepping scheme with including the standard Crank‐Nicolson ( ) and the shifted Crank‐Nicolson ( , where δ is the time‐step) schemes. The semidiscrete formulation in space is presented and optimal error bounds in L2‐norm and the energy norm are established. For the fully discrete system, the optimal error estimates are derived for the standard Crank‐Nicolson, the shifted Crank‐Nicolson, and the general case where with k=0,1 . Finally, numerical simulations that validate the theoretical findings are exhibited.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of the blow‐up phenomena of following nonlinear reaction diffusion equations with Robin boundary conditions: Here, is a bounded convex domain with smooth boundary. With the aid of a differential inequality technique and maximum principles, we establish a blow‐up or non–blow‐up criterion under some appropriate assumptions on the functions f,g,ρ,k, and u0. Moreover, we dedicate an upper bound and a lower bound for the blow‐up time when blowup occurs.  相似文献

In this paper, the full discrete scheme of mixed finite element approximation is introduced for semilinear hyperbolic equations. To solve the nonlinear problem efficiently, two two‐grid algorithms are developed and analyzed. In this approach, the nonlinear system is solved on a coarse mesh with width H, and the linear system is solved on a fine mesh with width hH. Error estimates and convergence results of two‐grid method are derived in detail. It is shown that if we choose in the first algorithm and in the second algorithm, the two‐grid algorithms can achieve the same accuracy of the mixed finite element solutions. Finally, the numerical examples also show that the two‐grid method is much more efficient than solving the nonlinear mixed finite element system directly.  相似文献

In this paper, the superconvergence analysis of a two‐grid method (TGM) with low‐order finite elements is presented for the fourth‐order dispersive‐dissipative wave equations for a second order fully discrete scheme. The superclose estimates in the H1‐norm on the two grids are obtained by the combination technique of the interpolation and Ritz projection. Then, with the help of the interpolated postprocessing technique, the global superconvergence properties are deduced. Finally, numerical results are provided to show the performance of the proposed TGM for conforming bilinear element and nonconforming element, respectively. It shows that the TGM is an effective method to the problem considered of our paper compared with the traditional Galerkin finite element method (FEM).  相似文献

In the present paper, we study the problem of multiple non semi‐trivial solutions for the following systems of Kirchhoff‐type equations with discontinuous nonlinearities (1.1) where FC1(RN×R+×R+,R),VC(RN,R), and By establishing a new index theory, we obtain some multiple critical point theorems on product spaces, and as applications, three multiplicity results of non semi‐trivial solutions for (1.1) are obtained. We consider the variable‐coefficient fractional diffusion equations with two‐sided fractional derivative. By introducing an intermediate variable, we propose a mixed‐type Galerkin variational formulation and prove the existence and uniqueness of the variational solution over . On the basis of the formulation, we develop a mixed‐type finite element procedure on commonly used finite element spaces and derive the solvability of the finite element solution and the error bounds for the unknown and the intermediate variable. For the Toeplitz‐like linear system generated by discretization, we design a fast conjugate gradient normal residual method to reduce the storage from O(N2) to O(N) and the computing cost from O(N3) to O(NlogN). In this paper, we consider the nonlocal non‐autonomous evolution problems where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in , N≥1, β is a positive constant, the coefficient a is a continuous bounded function on , and K is an integral operator with symmetric kernel , being J a non‐negative function continuously differentiable on and . We prove the existence of global pullback attractor, and we exhibit a functional to evolution process generated by this problem that decreases along of solutions. This paper shows that the following nonlinear boundary value problem: where δ≥ − 1 and y is defined as a modified error function, can be reduced to the boundary value problems for the generalized Emden‐Fowler equation and Abel differential equation of the second kind in the canonical form, which do not usually have closed‐form solutions. The existence and uniqueness of the solution are established by considering another contraction mapping. Highly accurate approximate solutions of this problem are also provided.  相似文献

This paper studies the chemotaxis‐haptotaxis system with nonlinear diffusion subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions and suitable initial conditions, where χ , ξ and μ are positive constants, and (n ?2) is a bounded and smooth domain. Here, we assume that D (u )?c D u m  ? 1 for all u  > 0 with some c D  > 0 and m ?1. For the case of non‐degenerate diffusion, if μ  > μ ?, where it is proved that the system possesses global classical solutions which are uniformly‐in‐time bounded. The analytic signal method via the circular Hilbert transform is a critical tool in the time–frequency analysis of signals of finite duration. The circular Bedrosian identity is of major theoretical and practical value in the method. The identity holds whenever the Fourier coefficients of f,gL2([?π,π]) are respectively supported on A = [?n,m] and for some non‐negative integers 0≤n,m≤+. In this note, we investigate the existence of such an identity for a general‐bounded linear translation‐invariant operator on L2([?π,π]d) and for general support sets . We give an insightful geometric characterization of the support sets for the existence. In addition, we find all the support sets for the partial Hilbert transforms. This work is focused on the long‐time behavior of solutions to the singularly perturbed damped Boussinesq equation in a 3D case where ε > 0 is small enough. Without any growth restrictions on the nonlinearity f(u), we establish in an appropriate bounded phase space a finite dimensional global attractor as well as an exponential attractor of optimal regularity. The main purpose of the current paper is to propose a new numerical scheme based on the spectral element procedure for simulating the neutral delay distributed‐order fractional damped diffusion‐wave equation. To this end, the temporal direction has been discretized by a finite difference formula with convergence order where 1<α<2. In the next, to obtain a full‐discrete scheme, we apply the spectral finite element method on the spatial direction. Furthermore, the unconditional stability of semidiscrete scheme and convergence order of full‐discrete scheme of new technique are discussed. Finally, 2 test problems have been considered to demonstrate the ability and efficiency of the proposed numerical technique.  相似文献

We consider conforming finite element approximation of fourth‐order singularly perturbed problems of reaction diffusion type. We prove superconvergence of standard C1 finite element method of degree p on a modified Shishkin mesh. In particular, a superconvergence error bound of in a discrete energy norm is established. This paper is focused on following time‐harmonic Maxwell equation: where is a bounded Lipschitz domain, is the exterior normal, and ω is the frequency. The boundary condition holds when Ω is surrounded by a perfect conductor. Assuming that f is asymptotically linear as , we study the above equation by improving the generalized Nehari manifold method. For an anisotropic material with magnetic permeability tensor and permittivity tensor , ground state solutions are established in this paper. Applying the principle of symmetric criticality, we find 2 types of solutions with cylindrical symmetries in particular for the uniaxial material.  相似文献

This paper considers the 2‐species chemotaxis‐Stokes system with competitive kinetics under homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions in a 3‐dimensional bounded domain with smooth boundary. Both chemotaxis‐fluid systems and 2‐species chemotaxis systems with competitive terms were studied by many mathematicians. However, there have not been rich results on coupled 2‐species–fluid systems. Recently, global existence and asymptotic stability in the above problem with (u·∇)u in the fluid equation were established in the 2‐dimensional case. The purpose of this paper is to give results for global existence, boundedness, and stabilization of solutions to the above system in the 3‐dimensional case when is sufficiently small.  相似文献
