We study the direct interaction of an antisymmetric Kalb–Ramond field with a scalar particle derived from a gauge principle. The method outlined in this paper to define a covariant derivative is applied to a simple model leading to a linear coupling between the fields. Although no conserved Noether charge exists, a conserved topological current comes out from the antisymmetry properties of the Kalb–Ramond field. Some interesting features of this current are pointed out. Possible applications of our results to cosmology and to the theory of three-dimensional Josephson junction arrays are envisaged.  相似文献

We have considered the possibility of a rotating wormhole surrounded by a cloud of charged particles. Due to slow rotation of the wormhole, the charged particles are dragged, thereby producing an electromagnetic field. The generalized Langevin equation is used to describe the motion of a charged particle interacting with a blackbody radiation field via dipole coupling. The exact expressions for the mean-square displacement and velocity of such a particle are obtained, which show a ballistic diffusion and a modified Kubo fluctuation-dissipation relation. In particular, a velocity-dependent coupling or force can induce this novel phenomenon.  相似文献

The photodetachment of H^- in a static electric field near a surface is investigated based on the closed orbit theory. It is found the distance between the ion and the surface modulates the cross section of photodetachment. For an elastic surface perpendicular to electric field, the detachment spectrum displays a staircase structure, in contrast with the smooth oscillation when only the electric field exists.  相似文献

Two atomic clusters, which have NA and Ns two-level atoms, respectively, are placed in a cavity but separated spatially. There is no direct interaction between the atoms. All the atoms interact with a single-mode of the cavity field. Quantum entanglement between the two atomic clusters is investigated for various initial states of the two atomic clusters and the field. When the cavity field is initially in a Fock state, we find that the time evolution of entanglement quasi-periodically oscillates regardless of the initial states of atoms. The oscillation period increases as the initial photon number increases. When all the atoms in both of the atomic clusters are initially in the excited state, we show that there is no entanglement between the atomic clusters with NA = NB = 1 regardless the initial state of the cavity field. However, when either NA or NB is larger than one, we find that the entanglement always exists even for a strong thermal field. In cases with different initial states of the atomic clusters, we notice that the entanglement becomes stronger as number of the atoms increases. When all the atoms in both of the clusters in the ground state, we also find that the entanglement can be enhanced even by a thermal field. We also notice that a single qubit can be entangled with multi-atoms which are initially in the ground state by the cavity field initially being in vacuum, thermal, coherent, and squeezed states.  相似文献

A proposal of the cosmological origin of Higgs particles is given.We show that the Higgs field could be created from the vacuum quantum conformal fluctuation(VQCF) of Anti-de Sitter space-time,the spontaneous breaking of vacuum symmetry and the mass of Higgs particle are related to the cosmological constant of our universe,especially the theoretical estimated mass mφ of Higgs particles is mφ=√-2μ^2=√|Λ|/π.It seems that the Higgs particles with masses in GeV range may be the relics of the VQCF Of Anti-de sitter space in inflational phase of our very early universe.  相似文献

We study a non-stationary electronic wave packet in a quantized electromagnetic field.Generally,the electron and field become entangled as the electronic wave packet evolves.Here we find that,when the initial photon state is a coherent one,the wavefunction of the system can be factorized if we neglect the transferred photon number.In this case,the quantized-field calculation is equivalent to the semi-classical calculation.  相似文献

In the light of the recent observations of type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) suggesting an accelerating Universe,we show the possibility of a coupled real scalar field to be quintessence for the source of the accelerating Universe.We derive the main equations which govern the evolution of the Universe and rewrite them with the observable quantities.Finally we point out very briefly how future observations may determine the equation of state of quintessence.  相似文献

The structure of an electronegative plasma sheath in an oblique magnetic field is investigated with a fluid model. We assume the system consists of hot electrons and negative ions as well as cold positive ions. Densities of particles and distributions of the spacious potential in various states of magnetic field are studied. The result shows that the existence of magnetic field and negative ions has great effects on the plasma sheath structures. In addition, the effects of negative ion density and temperature on the structure of the electronegative plasma sheath are discussed.  相似文献

By employing an inverse-scattering transformation, the exact solution of an N-soliton train in the spin chain with a time-dependent magnetic field is derived. As a special case the one-soliton solution (N = 1) exhibits explicitly the spin precession around the magnetic field and periodic shape-variation induced by the time varying field as well. In terms of the general solution, inelastic two-soliton collision is analysed. The inelastic collision, by which we mean the soliton shape-change before and after collision, appears generally due to the time varying field.  相似文献

Making use of hyperspherical coordinates, we investigate the qualitative features of the ground and lowlying states of a positronium molecule confined in a two-dimensional (2D) space under a magnetic field. We find that a positronium molecule has more bound states in 2D than in 3D. With the increase of the magnetic field, the second bound state experiences a transition in angular momentum. The result shows that symmetry plays an essential role in the energy spectrum of low-lying states.  相似文献

A new linear ultrasonic phased array fixed on a cylindrical surface is designed. This kind of the cylindrical phased array can meet the specific requirements of the application in testing pipe quality inside pipes. Using the transducer, we can not only avoid mechanical rotating but also test the quality of any point in a pipe by ultrasonic phase array technology. The focused acoustic field distributions in the axial, radial and tangential directions of the transducer are investigated theoretically by numerical simulation. The energy flux density, the width of the main lobe, the imaging resolution, the grating lobe elimination and other characteristics are analysed. The effect of the focal distance, effective aperture, transducer radius, number of total element, and steering angle on the acoustic field distribution is also studied.thoroughly. We examine the phase-dependent effects in resonance fluorescence of a two-level atom driven by a trichromatic modulated field. It is shown that the fluorescence spectrum depends crucially on the sum of relative phases of the sideband components compared to the central component, not simply on the respective phases. The appearance or disappearance of the central peak and the selective elimination of the sideband peaks are achieved simply by varying the sum phase. Once the sum phase is fixed, the spectrum keeps its features unchanged regardless of the respective relative phases.  相似文献

A novel lateral double-gate tunnelling field effect transistor (DG-TFET) is studied and its performance is presented by a two-dimensional device simulation with code ISE. The result demonstrates that this new tunnelling transistor allows for the steeper sub-threshold swing below 60mV/dec, the super low supply voltage (operable at VDD 〈 0.3 V) and the rail-to-rail logic (significant on-state current at the drain-source voltage VDS = 50mV) for the aggressive technology assumptions of the availability of high-k/metal stack with equivalent gate oxide thickness EOT =0.24 nm and the work function difference 4.5 eV of materials.  相似文献

With the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio(NJL) model we calculate the properties of pion and σ-meson at finite temperature and finite magnetic field. The obtained temperature and magnetic field strength dependence of the constituent quark mass M, the pion and σ-meson masses and the neutral pion decay constant indicates that, in the simple four fermion interaction model, there exists the magnetic catalysis effect. It also shows that the Gell-Mann–Oakes–Renner relation is violated obviously with the increasing of the temperature, and the effect of the magnetic field becomes pronounced only around the critical temperature. The deviation of the critical temperatures obtained with different criteria indicates that the chiral phase transition driven by the temperature in the magnetic field strength region we have considered is in fact a crossover.  相似文献

By using the concept of concurrence, we numerically investigate the thermal entanglement between any two nearest-neighbour spins in uniform and periodic anisotropic XY chains in a transverse field at finite temperature T. It is found that the entanglement has more than one critical temperatures on some parameter regions for uniform and periodic chains. We also discuss the behaviour of the thermal entanglement at the vicinity of quantum phase transition of periodic anisotropic XY chains and find that a11 the derivatives aλC have similar behaviour as that of the uniform chain.  相似文献

Theoretical calculation of the differential cross section (DCS) for elastic electron-helium scattering in the presence of a bichromatic CO2 laser field is carried out in the first Born approximation with a simple screening electric potential. The two components of the laser field have the frequencies w and 2w, which are out of phase by an arbitrary scale φ. The variations of the differential cross section as a function of the phase angle φ in the domain 0°≤ φ ≤360° are presented. We discuss the influence of the number of photons exchanged on the phase-dependee effect. Moreover, for different scattering angles and incident electron energies, the DCS has outstanding ditferences. These illustrate that the two parameters have important effects on the differential cross section and the screening electric potential is effective.  相似文献
