In this paper, an electrochemical sensor for sensitive and convenient determination of salicylic acid (SA) was constructed using well-aligned multiwalled carbon nanotubes as electrode material. Compared to the glassy carbon electrode, the electro-oxidation of SA significantly enhanced at the multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) electrode. The MWCNT electrode shows a sensitivity of 59.25 μA mM−1, a low detection limit of 0.8 × 10−6 M and a good response linear range with SA concentration from 2.0 × 10−6 to 3.0 × 10−3 M. In addition, acetylsalicylic acid was determined indirectly after hydrolysis to SA and acetic acid, which simplified the detection process. The mechanism of electrochemical oxidation of SA at the MWCNT electrode is also discussed.  相似文献

Gold electrode with self-assembled D,L-cysteine grafted β-cyclodextrin sulfonic acid (Cys-β-CD∼SO3) layer was fabricated and used to investigate the electrochemical behavior of dopamine. The experimental results indicated that the self-assembled Cys-β-CD∼SO3 layer modified gold electrode has selective electrochemical response to dopamine with high sensitivity and excellent tolerance of ascorbic acid, which is the most common accompanying component in biological samples. Dopamine could be accurately determined in the concentration range of 1–200 μM in the presence of ascorbic acid of 5 mM. The relative standard deviation of 1.9% (n = 5) was achieved at a dopamine concentration of 5 × 10−5 M. The proposed sensor was successfully applied to the determination of dopamine in human blood serum samples.  相似文献

A novel and reliable direct electrochemical method was established for the detection of adenine, based on the differential pulse anodic stripping response at a poly(amidosulfonic acid) (poly-ASA)-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) fabricated by electropolymerization. The characterization of electrochemically synthesized poly-ASA film was investigated by atomic force microscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and voltammetric methods. This poly-ASA-modified GCE could greatly enhance the detection sensitivity of adenine. At optimum conditions, the anodic peak exhibits a good linear concentration dependence in the range from 3.0 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−6 M (r = 0.9994). The detection limit is 8.0 × 10−9 M (S/N = 3). The proposed method could be used to determinate the adenine in tablets of vitamin B4 with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The preparation and electrochemical characterization of a carbon nanotube paste electrode modified with 2,2′-[1,2-ethanediylbis (nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone, referred to as EBNBH, was investigated. The EBNBH carbon nanotube paste electrode (EBNBHCNPE) displayed one pair of reversible peaks at E pa = 0.18 V and E pc = 0.115 V vs Ag/AgCl. Half wave potential (E 1/2) and ΔE p were 0.148 and 0.065 V vs Ag/AgCl, respectively. The electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) has been studied on EBNBHCNPE, using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and chronoamperometry techniques. It has been shown that the oxidation of AA occurs at a potential where oxidation is not observed at the unmodified carbon paste electrode. The heterogeneous rate constant for oxidation of AA at the EBNBHCNPE was also determined and found to be about 1.07 × 10−3 cm s−1. The diffusion coefficient of AA was also estimated as 5.66 × 10−6 cm2 s−1 for the experimental conditions, using chronoamperometry. Also, this modified electrode presented the property of electrocatalysing the oxidation of AA and uric acid (UA) at 0.18 and 0.35 V vs Ag/AgCl, respectively. The separations of anodic peak potentials of AA and UA reached 0.17 V. Using differential pulse voltammetry, the calibration curves for AA and UA were obtained over the range of 0.1–800 μM and 20–700 μM, respectively. With good selectivity and sensitivity, the present method provides a simple method for selective detection of AA and UA in biological samples.  相似文献

A simple method was used to fabricate flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD)/NiOx nanocomposite on the surface of glassy carbon (GC) electrode. Cyclic voltammetry technique was applied for deposition nickel oxide nanostructures onto GC surface. Owing to its high biocompatibility and large surface area of nickel oxide nanomaterials with immersing the GC/NiOx-modified electrode into FAD solution for a short period of time, 10–140 s, a stable thin layer of the FAD molecules immobilized onto electrode surface. The FAD/NiOx films exhibited a pair of well-defined, stable, and nearly reversible CV peaks at wide pH range (2–10). The formal potential of adsorbed FAD onto nickel oxide nanoparticles film, E o′ vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode is −0.44 V in pH 7 buffer solutions was similar to dissolved FAD and changed linearly with a slope of 58.6 mV/pH in the pH range 2–10. The surface coverage and heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant (k s ) of FAD immobilized on NiOx film glassy carbon electrode are 4.66 × 10−11 mol cm−2 and 63 ± 0.1 s−1, indicating the high loading ability of the nickel oxide nanoparticles and great facilitation of the electron transfer between FAD and nickel oxide nanoparticles. FAD/NiOx nanocomposite-modified GC electrode shows excellent electrocatalytic activity toward S2O82− reduction at reduced overpotential. Furthermore, rotated modified electrode illustrates good analytical performance for amperometric detection of S2O82−. Under optimized condition, the concentration calibration range, detection limit, and sensitivity were 3 μM–1.5 mM, 0.38 μM and 16.6 nA/μM, respectively.  相似文献

A method to fabricate poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)-poly(4-styrene sulfonate)-Meldola Blue (PEDOT-PSS-MDB)-modified electrodes had been disclosed. Firstly, the PEDOT-PSS-film-modified electrode was electrochemically prepared. Then, the PEDOT-PSS was treated as a matrix to immobilize electroactive mediator, Meldola Blue (MDB), by means of an electrostatic interaction to form the proposed film, PEDOT-PSS-MDB. Electrochemical properties of the proposed film exhibited surface confinement and pH dependence. The PEDOT-PSS-MDB electrode could electrocatalytically reduce hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) with a low overpotential and showed a linear response to H2O2 in the concentration range of 5 to 120 μM, detection limit of 0.1 μM, and sensitivity of 353.9 μA mM−1 cm−2 (S/N = 3). By comparison, the electrocatalytic activity of PEDOT-PSS-MDB electrode was found superior to that of PEDOT-PSS and MDB-PSS electrodes. It also has competitive potential as compared with other mediators, through the use of HRP to determine H2O2. Moreover, the potential interferents such as ascorbic acid, dopamine, uric acid, and glucose were also studied for H2O2 determination by the proposed film.  相似文献

SiO2/ZrO2/C carbon ceramic material with composition (in wt%) SiO2 = 50, ZrO2 = 20, and C = 30 was prepared by the sol–gel-processing method. A high-resolution transmission electron microscopy image showed that ZrO2 and the graphite particles are well dispersed inside the matrix. The electrical conductivity obtained for the pressed disks of the material was 18 S cm−1, indicating that C particles are also well interconnected inside the solid. An electrode modified with flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) prepared by immersing the solid SiO2/ZrO2/C, molded as a pressed disk, inside a FAD solution (1.0 × 10−3 mol L−1) was used to investigate the electrocatalytic reduction of bromate and iodate. The reduction of both ions occurred at a peak potential of −0.41 V vs. the saturated calomel reference electrode. The linear response range (lrr) and detection limit (dl) were: BrO3 , lrr = 4.98 × 10−5–1.23 × 10−3 mol L−1 and dl = 2.33 μmol L−1; IO3 , lrr = 4.98 × 10−5 up to 2.42 × 10−3 and dl = 1.46 μmol L−1 for iodate.  相似文献

The electrocatalytic oxidation of quinine sulfate (QS) was investigated at a glassy carbon electrode, modified by a gel containing multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and room-temperature ionic liquid of 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophate (BMIMPF6) in 0.10 M of phosphate buffer solution (PBS, pH 6.8). It was found that an irreversible anodic oxidation peak of QS with E pa as 0.99 V appeared at MWCNTs-RTIL/glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The electrode reaction process was a diffusion-controlled one and the electrochemical oxidation involved two electrons transferring and two protons participation. Furthermore, the charge-transfer coefficient (α), diffusion coefficient (D), and electrode reaction rate constant (k f) of QS were found to be 0.87, 7.89 × 10−3 cm2⋅s−1 and 3.43 × 10−2 s−1, respectively. Under optimized conditions, linear calibration curves were obtained over the QS concentration range 3.0 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−4 M by square wave voltammetry, and the detection limit was found to be 0.44 μM based on the signal-to-noise ratio of 3. In addition, the novel MWCNTs-RTIL/GCE was characterized by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and the proposed method has been successfully applied in the electrochemical quantitative determination of quinine content in commercial injection samples and the determination results could meet the requirement.  相似文献

A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with the film composed of chitosan incorporating cetylpyridine bromide is constructed and used to determine uric acid (UA) and ascorbic acid (AA) by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). This modified electrode shows efficient electrocatalytic activity and fairly selective separation for oxidation of AA and UA in mixture solution. UA is catalyzed by this modified electrode in phosphate buffer solution (pH 4.0) with a decrease of 80 mV, while AA is catalyzed with a decrease of 200 mV in overpotential compared to GCE, and the peak separation of oxidation between AA and UA is 260 mV, which is large enough to allow the determination of one in presence of the other. Under the optimum conditions, the anodic peak currents (I pa) of DPV are proportional to the concentration of UA in the range of 2.0 × 10−6 to 6.0 × 10−4 M, with the detection limit of 5.0 × 10−7 M at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3 (S/N = 3) and to that of AA in the range of 4.0 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−3 M, with the detection limit of 8.0 × 10−7 M (S/N = 3).  相似文献

The electrocatalytic oxidation of aspirin and acetaminophen on nanoparticles of cobalt hydroxide electrodeposited on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode in alkaline solution was investigated. The process of oxidation and the kinetics have been investigated using cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and steady-state polarization measurements. Voltammetric studies have indicated that in the presence of drugs, the anodic peak current of low valence cobalt species increases, followed by a decrease in the corresponding cathodic current. This indicates that drugs are oxidized on the redox mediator which is immobilized on the electrode surface via an electrocatalytic mechanism. With the use of Laviron’s equation, the values of anodic and cathodic electron-transfer coefficients and charge-transfer rate constant for the immobilized redox species were determined as α s,a = 0.72, α s,c = 0.30, and k s = 0.22 s−1. The rate constant, the electron transfer coefficient, and the diffusion coefficient involved in the electrocatalytic oxidation of drugs were reported. It was shown that by using the modified electrode, aspirin and acetaminophen can be determined by amperometric technique with detection limits of 1.88 × 10−6 and 1.83 × 10−6 M, respectively. By analyzing the content of acetaminophen and aspirin in bulk forms using chronoamperometric and amperometric techniques, the analytical utility of the modified electrode was achieved. The method was also proven to be valid for analyzing these drugs in urine samples.  相似文献

An anodic stripping voltammetric procedure for the determination of Cu(II) at an in situ-plated stannum film electrode (SnFE) was described. The results indicated that the SnFE had an attractive electroanalytical performance, with two distinct voltammetric stripping signals for copper and stannum, and showed the superior advantage for the determination of copper compared with the bismuth film electrode. Several experimental parameters were optimized. The SnFE exhibited highly linear behavior in the concentration range from 1.0 to 100.0 μg L−1 of Cu(II) (r = 0.994) with the detection limit of 0.61 μg L−1 (S/N = 3), and the relative standard deviation for a solution containing 40.0 μg L−1 Cu(II) was 2.2% (n = 8). The procedure has been successfully applied for the determination of Cu(II) in lake water sample.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviors of metol on an ionic liquid N-butylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate modified carbon paste electrode (IL-CPE) were studied in this paper. The results indicated that a pair of well-defined quasi-reversible redox peaks of metol appeared with the decrease of overpotential and the increase of redox peak current, which was the characteristics of electrocatalytic oxidation. The electrocatalytic mechanism was discussed and the electrochemical parameters were calculated with results of the charge-transfer coefficient (α) as 0.45, the electrode reaction rate constant (k s) as 4.02 × 10−3 s−1, and the diffusion coefficient (D) as 6.35 × 10−5 cm2/s. Under the optimal conditions, the anodic peak current was linear with the metol concentration in the range of 5.0 × 10−6 ∼ 1.0 × 10−3 mol/L (n = 11, γ = 0.994) and the detection limit was estimated as 2.33 × 10−6 mol/L (3σ). The proposed method was successfully applied to determination of metol content in synthetic samples and photographic solutions.  相似文献

A lead electrode was studied in 6 and 12 M H3PO4. Oxidation of a freshly polished electrode occurred in the −0.5 to −0.3 V vs. SCE range, and led to PbHPO4 growth on the electrode surface. The dissolution of this layer by electrochemical reduction occurred between −0.5 and −0.7 V. The influence of temperature (20 °C and 65 °C) was investigated and showed that the anodic and the cathodic peaks were increasing, and more markedly for the 12 M H3PO4. The ratio Q cathodic/Q anodic (Q=electrical charge flowing through the electrode) was equal or close to the unity at 20 °C and decreased as the temperature was increased. The influence of Cl, Br and I ions was also evaluated. The addition of Cl and Br predominantly led to Pb5(PO4)3Cl and Pb5(PO4)3Br, respectively, while I led to a mixture of PbI2 and PbHPO4. We used a carbon paste electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes as a working electrode and studied the electrochemical behavior of zirconium-alizarin red S complex on it. It was found that the modified electrode exhibited a significant catalytic effect toward the reduction of free alizarin red S and the complex. The second derivative linear scan voltammograms of the complex were recorded by a polarographic analyser from 0 to −1000 mV (vs. SCE), and it was found that the complex can be adsorbed on the surface of the modified electrode, yielding a peak at about −470 mV, corresponding to the reduction of alizarin red S in the complex. The linear range was found to be 2.0 × 10−11–8.0 × 10−7 mol L−1, and the detection limit was 1.0 × 10−11 mol L−1 (S/N = 3) for 3 min accumulation. The procedure was successfully applied to the determination of trace amounts of zirconium in the ore samples. A fast and sensitive liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry method was developed for the determination of ursolic acid (UA) in rat plasma and tissues. Glycyrrhetinic acid was used as the internal standard (IS). Chromatographic separation was performed on a 3.5 μm Zorbax SB-C18 column (30 mm × 2.1 mm) with a mobile phase consisting of methanol and aqueous 10 mM ammonium acetate using gradient elution. Quantification was performed by selected ion monitoring with (m/z) 455 for UA and (m/z) 469 for the IS. The method was validated in the concentration range of 2.5 − 1470 ng mL−1 for plasma samples and 20 − 11760 ng g−1 for tissue homogenates. The intra- and inter-day assay of precision in plasma and tissues ranged from 1.6% to 7.1% and 3.7% to 9.0%, respectively, and the intra- and inter-day assay accuracy was 84.2 − 106.9% and 82.1 − 108.1%, respectively. Recoveries in plasma and tissues ranged from 83.2% to 106.2%. The limits of detections were 0.5 ng mL−1 or 4.0 ng g−1. The recoveries for all samples were >90%, except for liver, which indicated that ursolic acid may metabolize in liver. The main pharmacokinetic parameters obtained were T max = 0.42 ± 0.11 h, C max = 1.10 ± 0.31 μg mL−1, AUC = 1.45 ± 0.21 μg h mL−1 and K a = 5.64 ± 1.89 h−1. The concentrations of UA in rat lung, spleen, liver, heart, and cerebellum were studied for the first time. This method is validated and could be applicable to the investigation of the pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of UA in rats.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of ceftriaxone was investigated on a carbon-nanotube-modified glassy carbon (GC-CNT) electrode in a phosphate buffer solution, pH = 7.40, and the results were compared with those obtained using the unmodified one [glassy carbon (GC) electrode]. During oxidation of ceftriaxone, an irreversible anodic peak appeared, using both modified and unmodified electrodes. Cyclic voltammetric studies indicated that the oxidation process is irreversible and diffusion-controlled. The number of electrons exchanged in the electrooxidation process was obtained, and the data indicated that ceftriaxone is oxidized via a one-electron step. The results revealed that carbon nanotube promotes the rate of oxidation by increasing the peak current. In addition, ceftriaxone was oxidized at lower potentials, which thermodynamically is more favorable. These results were confirmed by impedance measurements. The electron-transfer coefficients and heterogeneous electron-transfer rate constants for ceftriaxone were reported using both the GC and GC-CNT electrodes. Furthermore, the diffusion coefficient of ceftriaxone was found to be 2.74 × 10−6 cm2 s−1. Binding of ceftriaxone to human serum albumin forms a kind of electroreactive species. The percentage of interaction of ceftriaxone with protein was also addressed. A sensitive, simple, and time-saving differential-pulse voltammetric procedure was developed for the analysis of ceftriaxone, using the GC-CNT electrode. Ceftriaxone can be determined with a detection limit of 4.03 × 10−6 M with the proposed method.  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode, modified with 2, 2′-[1,7-hepthandiylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone and TiO2 nanoparticles, was used for the simultaneous determination of dopamine (DA), uric acid (UA), and l-cysteine. The study was carried out by using cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and square wave voltammetry (SWV) techniques. Some kinetic parameters such as the electron transfer coefficient (α) and heterogeneous rate constant (ks) were also determined for the DA oxidation. A dynamic range of 8.0–1400 μM, with the detection limit of 8.4 × 10−7 M for DA, was obtained using SWV (pH = 7.0). The prepared electrode was successfully applied for the determination of DA, UA, and l-cysteine in real samples.  相似文献

A kind of erbium hexacyanoferrate (ErHCF)-modified carbon ceramic electrodes (CCEs) fabricated by mechanically attaching ErHCF samples to the surface of CCEs derived from sol–gel technique was proposed. The resulting modified electrodes exhibit well-defined redox responses with the formal potential of +0.215 V [vs saturated calomel electrode (SCE)] at a scan rate of 20 mV s−1 in 0.5 M KCl (pH 7) solution. The voltammetric characteristics of the ErHCF-modified CCEs were investigated by voltammetry. Attractively, the ErHCF-modified CCEs presented good electrocatalytic activity with a marked decrease in the overvoltage about 400 mV for l-cysteine oxidation. The calibration plot for l-cysteine determination was linear at 5.0 × 10−6–1.3 × 10−4 M with a linear regression equation of I(A) = 0.558 + 0.148c (μM) (R 2 = 0.9989, n = 20), and the detection limit was 2 × 10−6 M (S/N = 3). At last, the ErHCF-modified CCEs were used for amperometric detection of l-cysteine in real samples.  相似文献

A differential pulse voltammetric method for the determination of nitrate has been described, which is applicable to the analysis of natural water samples with nitrate levels greater than 2.8 × 10−6 M. A reduction peak for the nitrate ions at a freshly copper plated glassy carbon electrode was observed at about −0.50 V vs Ag ∣AgCl∣KClsatd electrode in a solution of 2.0 × 10−2 M Cu2+, 0.5 M H2SO4 and 1.0 × 10−3 M KCl and exploited for analytical purposes. The working linear range was established by regression analysis and found to extend from 2.8 ×10−6 M to 8.0 × 10−5 M. The proposed method was applied for the determination of nitrate in natural waters. The detection limit of the method was 2.8 × 10−6 M and the sensitivity was 0.9683 A·L/mol. The possible interferences by some ions such as phosphate, nitrite and some halides were determined and found to lead to shifts of the peak position and increasing the peak heights. Pure goethites and Al-, Cr-, and Mn-goethites, as synthetic and natural products, were used to establish the conditions for electrochemical reductive dissolution following surface reaction kinetics. In diluted perchloric acid and at reaction rate coefficients of the order of 10−4s−1, the γ parameters in the kinetic equation J/N 0 = k(N/N 0)γ (where J is the reaction rate and N and N 0 are actual and total molar amounts of a solid reactant) were in the range expected for the shape-preserving dissolution of the particles with a certain size and reactivity distribution function. The same range of γ was found using the dissolution of goethites by a chemical reaction via oxalate-ferrous ion surface complexation. The importance of the charge transfer coefficient to describe the iron oxide reactivitie s was highlighted as it is sensitive to the synthetic route and also to the substitution of iron.
