We study here systems of symmetries on |1|-graded parabolic geometries. We are interested in smooth systems of symmetries, and we discuss non-flat homogeneous |1|-graded geometries. We show the existence of an invariant admissible affine connection under quite weak condition on the system.  相似文献

In this paper we study a novel class of parabolic geometries which we call parabolic geometries of Monge type. These parabolic geometries are defined by gradings such that their −1 component contains a nonzero co-dimension 1 abelian subspace whose bracket with its complement is non-degenerate. We completely classify the simple Lie algebras with such gradings in terms of elementary properties of the defining set of simple roots. In addition we characterize those parabolic geometries of Monge type which are non-rigid in the sense that they have nonzero harmonic curvatures in positive weights. Standard models of all non-rigid parabolic geometries of Monge type are described by under-determined ODE systems. The full symmetry algebras for these under-determined ODE systems are explicitly calculated; surprisingly, these symmetries are all just prolonged point symmetries.  相似文献

We show how some basic dynamical ideas can be brought to bear on the study of Cartan geometries. In our main results, we give conditions for certain types of Cartan geometries to have constant curvature. We also consider ergodic actions of `higher-rank' semisimple groups on bundles supporting (not necessarily invariant) Cartan connections and show that these are `standard locally homogeneous' actions provided that some noncompact 1-parameter subgroup `preserves' a Cartan geometry.  相似文献

We investigate geometric properties of homogeneous parabolic geometries with generalized symmetries. We show that they can be reduced to a simpler geometric structures and interpret them explicitly. For specific types of parabolic geometries, we prove that the reductions correspond to known generalizations of symmetric spaces. In addition, we illustrate our results on an explicit example and provide a complete classification of possible non-trivial cases.  相似文献

We obtain a complete group classification of the Lie point symmetries of nonlinear Poisson equations on generic (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds M. Using this result we study their Noether symmetries and establish the respective conservation laws. It is shown that the projection of the Lie point symmetries on M are special subgroups of the conformal group of M. In particular, if the scalar curvature of M vanishes, the projection on M of the Lie point symmetry group of the Poisson equation with critical nonlinearity is the conformal group of the manifold. We illustrate our results by applying them to the Thurston geometries.  相似文献

First we introduce a generalization of symmetric spaces to parabolic geometries. We provide construction of such parabolic geometries starting with classical symmetric spaces and we show that all regular parabolic geometries with smooth systems of involutive symmetries can be obtained in this way. Further, we investigate the case of parabolic contact geometries in great detail and we provide the full classification of those with semisimple groups of symmetries without complex factors. Finally, we explicitly construct all non-trivial contact geometries with non-complex simple groups of symmetries. We also indicate geometric interpretations of some of them.  相似文献

The 28,872,973 linear spaces on 12 points are constructed. The parameters of the geometries play an important role. In order to make generation easy, we construct possible parameter sets for geometries first (purely algebraically). Afterwards, the corresponding geometries are tried to construct. We define line types, point types, point cases, and also refined line types. These are the first three steps of a general decomposition according to the parameters which we call TDO. We review some of our recent work devoted to the problem of quantization with preservation of Noether symmetries, finding hidden linearity in superintegrable systems, and showing that nonlocal symmetries are in fact local. In particular, we derive the Schrödinger equation for the isochronous Calogero goldfish model using its relation to Darwin equation. We prove the linearity of a classical superintegrable system on a plane of nonconstant curvature. We find the Lie point symmetries that correspond to the nonlocal symmetries (also reinterpreted as λ-symmetries) of the Riccati chain.  相似文献

In this paper we mainly study the relation between $|A|^2, |H|^2$ and cosα (α is the Kähler angle) of the blow up flow around the type II singularities of a symplectic mean curvature flow. We also study similar property of an almost calibrated Lagrangian mean curvature flow. We show the nonexistence of type II blow-up flows for a symplectic mean curvature flow satisfying $|A|^2≤λ|H|^2$ and $cosα≥δ>1-\frac{1}{2λ}(½≤α≤ 2)$, or for an almost calibrated Lagrangian mean curvature flow satisfying $|A|^2≤λ|H|^2$ and $cosθ≥δ>max\ {0,1-\frac{1}{λ}}(\frac34≤λ≤ 2)$, where θ is the Lagrangian angle.  相似文献

In this paper we show that Cartan geometries can be studied via transitive Lie groupoids endowed with a special kind of vector-valued multiplicative 1-forms. This viewpoint leads us to a more general notion, that of Cartan bundle, which encompasses both Cartan geometries and G-structures.  相似文献

We discuss the convergence problem for coordinate transformations which take a given vector field into Poincaré–Dulac normal form. We show that the presence of linear or nonlinear Lie point symmetries can guarantee convergence of these normalizing transformations in a number of scenarios. We establish new criteria for the existence of either positive or nonzero solutions of the Urysohn integral equation. We also discuss the existence of an interval of positive eigenvalues and sufficient conditions for the existence of at least a positive eigenvalue with a nonzero or positive eigenfunction for the Urysohn integral operator. Among others, we employ techniques based on fixed point index theory for compact maps, which are new for this type of equation.  相似文献

Generalizing the graded commutator in superalgebras, we propose a new bracket operation on the space of graded operators with an involution. We study properties of this operation and show that the Lax representation of the two-dimensional N=(1|1) supersymmetric Toda lattice hierarchy can be realized via the generalized bracket operation; this is important in constructing the semiclassical (continuum) limit of this hierarchy. We construct the continuum limit of the N=(1|1) Toda lattice hierarchy, the dispersionless N=(1|1) Toda hierarchy. In this limit, we obtain the Lax representation, with the generalized graded bracket becoming the corresponding Poisson bracket on the graded phase superspace. We find bosonic symmetries of the dispersionless N=(1|1) supersymmetric Toda equation.  相似文献

We show that in any harmonic space, the eigenvalue spectra of the Laplace operator on small geodesic spheres around a given point determine the norm |?R|{{|\nabla{R}|}} of the covariant derivative of the Riemannian curvature tensor in that point. In particular, the spectra of small geodesic spheres in a harmonic space determine whether the space is locally symmetric. For the proof we use the first few heat invariants and consider certain coefficients in the radial power series expansions of the curvature invariants |R|2 and |Ric|2 of the geodesic spheres. Moreover, we obtain analogous results for geodesic balls with either Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions. We also comment on the relevance of these results to constructions of Z.I. In this paper, we first prove some general results on the number of fixed points of collineations of finite partial geometries, and on the number of absolute points of dualities of partial geometries. In the second part of the paper, we establish the number of isomorphism classes of partial geometries arising from a Thas maximal arc constructed from a (finite) Suzuki-Tits ovoid in a classical projective plane. We also determine the full automorphism group of these structures, and show that every partial geometry arising from any Thas maximal arc is self-dual.  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with the structure of curves on surfaces whose geodesic curvature is a large constant. We first discuss the relation between closed curves with large constant geodesic curvature and the critical points of Gauss curvature. Then, we consider the case where a curve with large constant geodesic curvature is immersed in a domain which does not contain any critical point of the Gauss curvature.  相似文献
