Fixed points for weakly inward mappings in Banach spaces

S. Hu and Y. Sun [S. Hu, Y. Sun, Fixed point index for weakly inward mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 172 (1993) 266-273] defined the fixed point index for weakly inward mappings, investigated its properties and studied the fixed points for such mappings. In this paper, following S. Hu and Y. Sun, we continue to investigate boundary conditions, under which the fixed point index for the completely continuous and weakly inward mapping, denoted by i(A,Ω,P), is equal to 1 or 0. Correspondingly, we can obtain some new fixed point theorems of the completely continuous and weakly inward mappings and existence theorems of solutions for the equations Ax=μx, which extend many famous theorems such as Leray-Schauder's theorem, Rothe's two theorems, Krasnoselskii's theorem, Altman's theorem, Petryshyn's theorem, etc., to the case of weakly inward mappings. In addition, our conclusions and methods are different from the ones in many recent works.

Approximation Methods for a Common Fixed Point of a Finite Family of Nonexpansive Mappings

Let K be a nonempty closed and convex subset of a real Banach space E. Let T: K → E be a continuous pseudocontractive mapping and f:K → E a contraction, both satisfying weakly inward condition. Then for t ? (0, 1), there exists a sequence {y _t } ? K satisfying the following condition: y _t  = (1 ? t)f(y _t ) + tT(y _t ). Suppose further that {y _t } is bounded or F(T) ≠  and E is a reflexive Banach space having weakly continuous duality mapping J _? for some gauge ?. Then it is proved that {y _t } converges strongly to a fixed point of T, which is also a solution of certain variational inequality. Moreover, an explicit iteration process that converges strongly to a common fixed point of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings and hence to a solution of a certain variational inequality is constructed.     

New fixed point theorems in Banach algebras under weak topology features and applications to nonlinear integral equations

We introduce a class of Banach algebras satisfying certain sequential condition (P) and we prove fixed point theorems for the sum and the product of nonlinear weakly sequentially continuous operators. Later on, we give some examples of applications of these types of results to the existence of solutions of nonlinear integral equations in Banach algebras.     

Asymptotic Lefschetz fixed point theory for ANES(compact) maps

A number of new Lefschetz fixed point theorems are established for ANES(compact) maps. Also compact absorbing contraction maps are discussed.

On the Hyers-Ulam stability of the linear differential equation

We obtain some results on generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the linear differential equation in a Banach space. As a consequence we improve some known estimates of the difference between the perturbed and the exact solutions.     

二阶非线性发展方程及其差分方程解的渐近性态

本文在Ｎａｎａｃｈ空间中，针对具广泛意义的满足条件（Ｉ）和条件（Ｊ）的增生映象，首次给出了二阶发展方程及其相应差分近似方程解的强收敛和弱收敛的充分必要条件；同时，对一般ｍ－增生映象也给出了一个差分方程解弱收敛的充分条件，这里所得结论有助于人们对该类问题的整体认识。     

Another version of the proximal point algorithm in a Banach space

In this paper, we study some non-traditional schemes of proximal point algorithm for nonsmooth convex functionals in a Banach space. The proximal approximations to their minimal points and/or their minimal values are considered separately for unconstrained and constrained minimization problems on convex closed sets. For the latter we use proximal point algorithms with the metric projection operators and first establish the estimates of the convergence rate with respect to functionals. We also investigate the perturbed projection proximal point algorithms and prove their stability. Some results concerning the classical proximal point method for minimization problems in a Banach space is also presented in this paper.     

Hybrid approximation of solutions of nonlinear operator equations and application to equation of Hammerstein-type

In this paper we study hybrid iterative scheme for finding a common element of set of solutions of generalized mixed equilibrium problem, set of common fixed points of finite family of weak relatively nonexpansive mapping and null spaces of finite family of γ-inverse strongly monotone mappings in a 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth real Banach space. Our results extend, improve and generalize the results of several authors which are announced recently. Application of our theorem to solution of equations of Hammerstein-type is of independent interest.     

Multivalued differential equations in separable Banach spaces

This paper is concerned with multivalued differential equations of the form F(t,x), whereF is a multivalued mapping taking as its values nonempty compact, but not necessarily convex, subsets in a separable Banach space. The main result is connected with the existence of solutions of these equations.     

Banach空间中非Lipschitz映象的连续半群的不动点定理

设E是一实的p一致凸Banach空间.利用渐近中心,E中范数不等式和逐次逼近的思想,本文证明了E中非Lipschitz映象的连续半群的不动点存在的定理.该定理本质上把Lipschitz半群的不动点存在性的研究推广到了非Lipschitz映象的连续半群的情况.另一方面,应用该定理,还得到了非Lipschitz映象的渐近非扩张型半群的渐近行为方面的一些结果.     

A multilinear Lindenstrauss theorem

We show that the set of N-linear mappings on a product of N Banach spaces such that all their Arens extensions attain their norms (at the same element) is norm dense in the space of all bounded N-linear mappings.     

Iterative Methods for Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

In this article, we suggest and analyze two methods for finding fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. We prove that the proposed methods converge strongly to a fixed point of nonexpansive mappings.

A Fixed Point Theorem for Decreasing Functions

Let E be a Banach spaces ordered by a cone K. We prove a fixed point theorem for Lipschitz continuous monotone decreasing functions f: K → K, which proves the existence of a unique fixed point in cases where the Lipschitz constant of f is bigger than 1. This fixed point theorem can be applied to Hammerstein integral equations in a quite natural way.
