Marotto extended Li–Yorke?s theorem on chaos from one-dimension to multi-dimension through introducing the notion of snapback repeller in 1978. Due to a technical flaw, he redefined snapback repeller in 2005 to validate this theorem. This presentation provides two methodologies to facilitate the application of Marotto?s theorem. The first one is to estimate the radius of repelling neighborhood for a repelling fixed point. This estimation is of essential and practical significance as combined with numerical computations of snapback points. Secondly, we propose a sequential graphic-iteration scheme to construct homoclinic orbit for a repeller. This construction allows us to track the homoclinic orbit. Applications of the present methodologies with numerical computation to a chaotic neural network and a predator–prey model are demonstrated.  相似文献

Summary A snapback repeller of an analytic mapping is defined as a full orbit which tends to an unstable fixed point backwards in time and snaps back to the same fixed point. This note gives a rather elementary proof that unstable periodic orbits accumulate near snapback repellers. The proof is entirely selfcontained and uses only standard elementary tools. We exploit that the global semiconjugacy of the entire analytic map to a linear map is itself an entire analytic function and apply the Theorem of Rouché to its zeros. We also generalize Marotto's result about the chaotic motion near a snapback repeller to include the degenerate case.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the growth of two composite entire functions of finite iterated order and a series of comparative growths of logp+qT(r,f(g)) (p,qN) with logpT(r,f) and logqT(r,g). At the end of this paper, we apply some growth results into the factorization of the solutions of linear differential equation. In this paper we study the relationships between the spaces of entire mappings of bounded type, entire mappings of nuclear bounded type, entire mappings of Pietsch integral bounded type, and entire mappings of Grothendieck integral bounded type. Several results due to Alencar (Proc. Roy. Irish Acad.85A (1985) 131-138) and Cilia and Gutiérrez (J. Aust. Math. Soc.76 (2004) 269-280) for homogeneous polynomials are extended to entire mappings. In the main result we prove that an entire mapping is of nuclear bounded type if and only if it factors through an entire mapping of Pietsch integral bounded type.  相似文献

The recent interest in iterated Wiener processes was motivated by apparently quite unrelated studies in probability theory and mathematical statistics. Laws of the iterated logarithm (LIL) were independently obtained by Burdzy(2) and Révész(17). In this work, we present a functional version of LIL for a standard iterated Wiener process, in the spirit of functional asymptotic results of an 2-valued Gaussian process given by Deheuvels and Mason(9) in view of Bahadur-Kiefer-type theorems. Chung's liminf sup LIL is established as well, thus providing further insight into the asymptotic behavior of iterated Wiener processes.  相似文献

Viscosity approximation methods for nonexpansive mappings are studied. Consider the iteration process {xn}, where x0C is arbitrary and xn+1=αnf(xn)+(1−αn)SPC(xnλnAxn), f is a contraction on C, S is a nonexpansive self-mapping of a closed convex subset C of a Hilbert space H. It is shown that {xn} converges strongly to a common element of the set of fixed points of nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for an inverse strongly-monotone mapping which solves some variational inequality.  相似文献

Some convergence theorems of modified Ishikawa and Mann iterative sequences with errors for asymptotically pseudo-contractive and asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in Banach space are obtained. The results presented in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results in Goebel and Kirk (1972), Kirk (1965), Liu (1996), Schu (1991) and Chang et al. (to appear).

In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for an inverse-strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. Then we show that the sequence converges strongly to a common element of two sets. Using this result, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping and a strictly pseudocontractive mapping and the problem of finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of zeros of an inverse-strongly monotone mapping.  相似文献
