o-Hydroxyacetophenone (N-benzoyl)glycyl hydrazone (o-HABzGH) forms complexes of the types [M(o-HABzGH)Cl2(H2O)2]Cl and [M(o-HABzGH-2H)OH(H2O)2], where M = Y(III), Gd(III), Tb(III) and Dy(III). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, infrared, electronic,1H NMR and13C NMR spectral techniques. The nephelauxetic ratio (β), covalency (δ), bonding parameter (b 1/2) and angular overlap parameter (η) have been calculated from Dy(III) complexes. Infrared and NMR spectral studies show thato-HABzGH acts as a neutral bidentate ligand in the adduct complexes and as a dinegative tridentate one in the neutral complexes. A coordination number of six has been proposed for the metal ion in all the complexes.  相似文献

Divalent Pt complexes of o-FC6 H4 C(H)NNC(SH)SCH2 Ph(L1H) and o-FC6 H4 C(Me)NNC(SH)SCH2 Ph(L 2H) have been synthesized and characterized thoroughly by analytical data, conductance measurements, molecular weight determinations, magnetic measurements, i.r., electronic, 1H-n.m.r. and 19F-n.m.r. spectral studies. The spectral data are consistent with a square planar geometry around PtIIin which the ligand acts as a neutral bidentate and monobasic bidentate ligand coordinating through nitrogen and sulfur atoms. Ligands and their metal complexes were tested against certain microorganisms to assess their antimicrobial properties and the results are indeed positive.  相似文献

Summary N-benzoylglycine hydrazide (BzGH) reacts with trivalent lanthanide metal ions forming complexes of the type [Ln(BzGH)2Cl(H2O)2]Cl2·nH2O, where Ln=LaIII, PrIII, NdIII, SmIII, EuIII, GdIII, TbIII, DyIII, or YIII;n=1 or 2. The structures of the complexes have been studied by conductance, magnetic, electronic, i.r.,1H n.m.r. and13C n.m.r. spectral techniques. The nephelauxetic ratio, the bonding parameter, Sinha's parameter and the covalency angular overlap parameter have been calculated from the electronic spectra of PrIII, NdIII and SmIII complexes. Seven-coordination is proposed in the NdIII complex. The i.r. and1H n.m.r. spectral data suggest bidentate BzGH in all the complexes.  相似文献

Summary A new series of complexes with the tridentate dibasic Schiff base ligand o-vanillin isonicotinoyl hydrazone (o-VINH) were prepared and characterized by i.r., 1H n.m.r. and electronic spectral studies, magnetic susceptibility measurements and t.g.a. The disappearance of low field signals due to OH, NH protons at 10.23 and 9.31 p.p.m. and downfield shift of the –CH=N proton signal at 8.17 p.p.m. in the n.m.r. spectrum confirms the involvement of these groups in coordination. Both t.g.a. and i.r. spectral data show evidence for one molecule of coordinated H2O. These results taken in conjunction with electronic spectral data allow assignation of tetrahedral geometry for manganese(II), nickel(II) and palladium(II) complexes but a square planar configuration to cobalt(II), copper(II) amd zinc(II) complexes.  相似文献

Summary Many new oxomolybdenum(V) and dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes have been synthesized with tri- and tetradentate Schiff bases derived by the condensation of salicylaldehyde, thiosalicylaldehyde,o-hydroxyacetophenone, 3-carboxysalicyclaldehyde or acetylacetone with aminoalcohols, polymethylenediamines ando-phenylenediamines. Mononuclear oxothiolato Schiff base complexes of molybdenum(V) have been prepared for the first time. Quadridentate Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde and substituted salicylaldehydes ando-phenylenediamine have also been successfully employed to isolate dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes in the solid state, in which two oxygen atoms of the MoO2 group arecis- to each other, similar to the situation observed for other dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes of salicylaldehyde-polymethylenediamine Schiff base ligands.Structures have been determined with the help of elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibilities, molar conductances, i.r., electronic and1H n.m.r. spectral data.For Part IX, K. Summary The preparation and spectral properties of five copper(II) complexes of semicarbazones, derived from 2-hydroxy-naphthaldehyde (NPSCZ), benzoin (BZSCZ) and isatin (ISSCZ) are described. I.r., electronic, e.s.r. 1H and 13C n.m.r. spectra show that the semicarbazone's coordination is distorted trigonal bipyramidal for [Cu(BZSCZ-2H)(H2O)], distorted tetragonal pyramidal for [Cu(NPSCZ)2](ClO4)2 and dimeric for the other three complexes.  相似文献

A series of LnIII–tetracycline complexes of the type [Ln(TC)Cl3]·2H2O [Ln = lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium and yttrium; TC = tetracycline] have been synthesized and characterized by analytical, i.r., electronic, 1H-n.m.r. spectral studies, X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. A pentagonal bipyramidal structure has been tentatively proposed for the new complexes. The ligand and the new complexes were tested in vitro to evaluate their activity against the bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.  相似文献

Summary The title complexes of general formula [Cu(HL)Cl2] or [Cu(L)Cl] have been isolated and characterized by 1H and 13C-n.m.r., i.r. and electronic spectra. The i.r., electronic and e.s.r. spectral data for the CuII complexes are compared with those of previously studied complexes. Summary Several new complexes of the title ligand (H2MPTS) with CoII, NiII, CuII, and CdII have been prepared. Structural assignments of the complexes have been made based on elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic moment and spectral (i.r.,1H n.m.r., reflectance) studies. The compounds are non-conductors in dimethylsulphoxide. The neutral molecule is coordinated to the metal(II) sulphate as a bidentate ligandvia the two carbonyl groups. The ligand reacts with the metal(II) chlorides with the liberation of two hydrogen ions, behaving as a bianionic quadridentate (NONO) donor. Enolization is confirmed by the pH-titration of H2 MPTS and its metal(II) complexes against NaOH. A distorted octahedral structure is proposed for the CuII complex, while a square planar structure is suggested for both CoII and NiII complexes. The stoichiometry of the complexes formed in EtOH and buffer solutions, their apparent formation constants and the ranges for obedience to Beer's law are reported for CoII, NiII and CuII ions. The ligand pK values are calculated. The antimicrobial activity of H2 MPTS and its CoII, NiII, CuII and MnII complexes is demonstrated.  相似文献

Lanthanum(III) and praseodymium(III) complexes of the type [Ln(L)Cl(H2O)]2 (Ln = La(III) or Pr(III); LH2 = dithiosemicarbazone ligands derived from piperazine dithiosemicarbazide and benzaldehyde, 4-nitrobenzaldehyde, and 2-methoxybenzaldehyde) have been synthesized in methanol in the presence of sodium hydroxide. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight, molar conductance, electronic absorption, IR, and 1H and 13C NMR spectral studies. Nephelauxetic ratio, covalency parameter, and bonding parameter for these complexes have also been calculated. Thermal studies of the complexes have been carried out using TG, DTG, and DSC techniques. Kinetic parameters, such as apparent activation energy and order of reaction, were determined by the Coats-Redfern graphical method. The heats of reaction for different reaction steps were calculated from DSC curves. The article was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Summary Polymeric copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes of the type M2L where M = CuII, NiII or CoII and H4L = disalicylaldimine oxamide (H4A), di(o-hydroxyacetophenoneimine)oxamide (H4B), disalicylaldimine succinamide (H4C) or di(o-hydroxyacetophenoneimine)succinamide (H4D), have been synthesized and characterized by analysis, i.r. and electronic spectra and magnetic moment data. Copper(II) complexes and some of the nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes are planar while other nickel(II) complexes are distorted octahedral and other cobalt(H) complexes are square pyramidal. Anomalously low magnetic moments of some complexes have been related to M-M interactionsvia oxo-bridge structures.  相似文献

An octahedral structure has been tentatively proposed for the new complexes. Summary Reaction of 1 equivalent ofo-alkylaniline with Pd(OAc)2 gave the acetate bridged complexes [Pd(OAc)2L]2. The*H n.m.r. spectra showed downfield shifts for theo-benzylic protons indicating an above-plane geometry involving a significant interaction with the metal orbitals. Similar interactions were found for Pd(OAc)2L2 and Pd(OAc)2L(L) (L= differento-alkylaniline; t-butylpyridineetc.) prepared from the dimer and for Rh(CO)2Cl(L) complexes. Theo-benzylic carbons of the palladium complexes did not show downfield shifts in the13C n.m.r. spectra.  相似文献

Nickel(II) chalcogenolate complexes [Ni(L-L)2(dppe) Cl2] (1, 2) have been prepared in high yields by reacting 1,2-diarylchalcogenolato-o-xylene, o-C6H4(CH2EAr)2 (E = Se or Te; Ar = Ph, C6H4OMe-4 and C6H4OEt-4), generated in situ, with Ni(dppe)Cl2 [dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane] in benzene. The structures were established by elemental analyses, molar conductance, i.r. and Raman, electronic 1H- and 31P-n.m.r. and mass spectral data. The analytical and spectroscopic data are consistent with an octahedral geometry around nickel in (1) and (2). The 31P-n.m.r. spectra indicate their cis configuration in solution. Hexa-coordinated ruthenium(II) complexes of the type [Ru(CO)(PPh3)(Z)(L)] [Z = PPh3, pyridine (py) or piperidine (pip); L = anion of the Schiff base] have been prepared by reacting [RuHCl(CO)(PPh3)2(Z)] with tridentate Schiff bases derived by condensing anthranilic acid with acetylacetone, salicylaldehyde, o-vanillin and o-hydroxyacetophenone. The complexes were characterised by analytical and spectral (i.r., electronic, 1H- and 31P-n.m.r.) data, and were found to be effective catalysts for oxidising primary alcohols to aldehydes in the presence of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMO) as co-oxidant. The Schiff bases and their ruthenium(II) complexes show growth inhibitory activity against pathogenic fungi Aspergillus flavus, Fusarium oxysporium and Rhizoctonia solani.  相似文献

Summary Two series of bivalent metal complexes of the type M(Sal)· xH2O and M(Naph) have been synthesized; where M = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pd and Cd, and H2-Sal and H2-Naph are salicylaldehyde and o-hydroxynaphthaldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazones which acted as dibasic terdentate ligands. The polymeric nature and coordination sites of the complexes have been characterized by elemental, d.t.a. and t.g.a analyses, molar conductance, pH, room temperature magnetic susceptibility and spectral (i.r., 1H n.m.r, u.v.) measurements. The protonation constants of the ligands have been determined potentiometrically at different temperatures, ionic strengths and at different EtOH-H2O compositions.  相似文献

Summary Binuclear copper(II) complexes with six 5-nitrosalicylaldehyde N(3)-substituted thiosemicarbazones have been prepared and characterized. I.r., electronic and e.s.r. spectra of the complexes, as well as i.r., electronic, and 1H-and 13C-n.m.r. spectra of the thiosemicarbazones, have been obtained. The crystal structure of a monomeric copper(II) complex of 5-nitrosalicylaldehyde piperidyl-thiosemicarbazone, H25NO2Sapip, grown from DMF solution, has been solved. Neither the thiosemicarbazones or their binuclear copper(II) complexes show growth inhibitory activity against Aspergillus niger, but the copper(II) complexes show some activity against the fungus Paecilomyces variotii.  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of a series of neutral rare‐earth metal complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)2] (Ln=Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm) supported by the 1,4,7‐trimethyl‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane anion (Me3TACD?) are reported. Upon treatment of the neutral allyl complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)2] with Brønsted acids, monocationic allyl complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)(thf)2][B(C6X5)4] (Ln=La, Ce, Nd, X=H, F) were isolated and characterized. Hydrogenolysis gave the hydride complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)H2]n (Ln=Y, n=3; La, n=4; Sm). X‐ray crystallography showed the lanthanum hydride to be tetranuclear. Reactivity studies of [Ln(Me3TACD)R2]n (R=η3‐C3H5, n=0; R=H, n=3,4) towards furan derivatives includes hydrosilylation and deoxygenation under ring‐opening conditions.  相似文献
