While two waves are coupled in bacteriorhodopsin (bR) film, a beam of incident light carrying the image is transferred to two diffraction beams whose intensities can increase from zero to a maximum and then decrease to a stable value with the increase of the writing time. Based on the relation among the polarization states of image in a recording beam and diffraction beams, we have proposed and demonstrated the all-optical image transfer switch which depends on the effective time and has the function that within the effective time, a polarization state image is automatically transferred to two images whose polarization states are perpendicular, and the transfer stops automatically beyond the effective time. A time-dependent all-optical image switch with muti-outputs is implemented.  相似文献

The reconstruction quality of in-line holography suffers from the superposition of twin images that have different foci but identical information content. We propose a phase retrieval method using two axially displaced holograms and a finite transmission constraint to eliminate the conjugate image. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate a better elimination effect and a faster rate of convergence compared with those of previously reported methods. Two holograms can be recorded simultaneously using two cameras, thus this technique can be used in real-time imaging.  相似文献

Improvement of images reconstructed from 3D computer-generated holograms using 1D Fourier transform operations is presented. Required computing time for making 3D holograms is decreased when 1D Fourier transform method is used instead of 2D Fourier transform method, but reconstructed images from the holograms created by the 1D Fourier transform method are somewhat inferior in quality to the images by 2D Fourier transform method. In this paper, we propose a method that the disadvantageous properties of the holograms made by 1D Fourier transform are improved. We have performed two step improvements in this experiment. From the numerical experiments, the images that are reconstructed from the holograms created from 1D Fourier transform method show marked improvement.  相似文献

全息光存储以其高密度、大容量、高速并行数据存取而成为光存储领域的一个重要研究方向。生物光致变色材料———菌紫质是一种新型可擦重写全息记录介质。实验证明了使用菌紫质薄膜进行角度复用和偏振复用全息存储的可行性。利用菌紫质的光致变色特性,采用90°角度复用全息存储光路,在BR-D96N薄膜样品同一位置上实现了6幅全息图存储,并分别读出了无串扰的再现像。利用菌紫质薄膜的光致各向异性进行了偏振复用全息存储,在BR-D96N薄膜样品的同一位置上存储了两幅正交偏振光记录的图像,用原参考光再现和偏振片选择,可分别读出这两幅图像。  相似文献

采用二能级模型(B态和M态)简化菌紫质(bR)光循环过程,建立了菌紫质光致变色吸收特性的数学方程,数值计算了bR膜对570nm单光束和对570nm与412nm双光束的吸收特性.计算表明,bR膜的光吸收特性与入射光波长、入射光强、摩尔消光系数、光密度和M态寿命有很大的关系.bR膜用于光存储时,读出光强和M态寿命是影响bR读出使用时间的两个重要因素.570nm与412nm双光束作用于bR膜时,可以实现以光控光操作,但由于570nm黄光的透过动态范围要比412nm紫光的透过动态范围大得多,因而在实际应用中应以黄光作为信息光,紫光作为控制光.基于bR膜对黄、紫光束的吸收特性,可以将其应用于亮背景滤除、反象器、图象相减、光寻址空间光调制器等光信息处理领域.  相似文献

提出了一种在数字全息记录系统中利用偏振和角分复用技术对光场进行偏振态检测的方法. 将全息系统中的一束参考光分为偏振方向相互正交、初相位相同的两束光, 并分别与物光相同偏振方向的两个分量干涉, 形成两幅子全息图, 同时记录在一帧画面中. 为了分开记录到的物光两个分量, 系统中利用了角分复用技术, 即在两束参考光中引入不同载频, 使物光两分量的频谱位于全息图频谱面的不同区域. 通过滤波、逆傅里叶变换和衍射计算, 获取距离全息图不同位置处物光两正交分量复振幅信息. 利用复振幅信息, 可以构建被测物光的斯托克斯参量和琼斯矢量, 从而表征物光的偏振态. 实验中, 通过对一束椭圆偏振光进行偏振态测量以及对该光束在不同空间位置处的偏振态进行表征, 表明该方法可以实现光束偏振态全场测试, 并且具有较高的可靠性. 关键词: 数字全息 偏振态 琼斯矢量 斯托克斯参量  相似文献

提出了一种基于Stokes参量的数字同轴偏振全息方法.在实验中用一束线偏振光和一束椭圆偏振光作为参考光, 分别与物光进行干涉,通过拍摄在两个相互垂直方向上的全息图,计算出物光在这两个方向的振幅和相位信息, 从而得到物光的Stokes参量和物体的全偏振信息,实现对各向异性物体偏振态空间分布的图像重建. 实验结果表明,该方法可用于物体的全偏振特性的测量.这种方法在求出物光Stokes参量的同时, 也可消除零级像和共轭像的干扰,因此也可用于同轴或离轴全息.  相似文献

X射线荧光全息术是一种新型的显微成像技术,它能在原子水平上直接观察到晶体内部的三维结构。然而它所得到的原子像存在明显的孪生像现象。因此,采用多重能量的全息记录来消除孪生像。分别以单个和多个铁原子为模型,数值模拟了它们在4π立体角范围内、不同范围的入射能量的情况下记录的全息图。比较由这些全息图重构得到的原子像,发现入射能量范围越宽,其消除孪生像的效果越好,而且随着入射能量的提高,其原子像的分辨力也越高。  相似文献

We have studied the possibility of recording holograms in films of the 4-methacroyloxy-(4′-carboxy-3′-hydroxy)-2-chloroazobenzene polycomplex with cobalt, with parallel and orthogonal orientation of the light beam polarization. We have shown that these films can be used as recording media for polarization holography. The characteristic features of relaxation of the diffraction efficiency of the holograms are connected with cistrans isomerization of the azobenzene groups and the characteristic features of structural rearrangement in the polymer matrix. The setup of the LEEPS (low energy electron point source) microscope is described and images of carbon fibres and nanotubes are shown and compared to simulated images. We used a Kirchhoff-Helmholtz type transform to reconstruct the (wave front at the) object. We also showed that this transform can be used to reconstruct optical in-line holograms.  相似文献

In previous image watermarking methods an encoded host image and a watermark image are usually directly added, consequently the two images have cross-talk in the decryption step. To eliminate this effect, we propose a novel method based on digital holography, in which all the image pixels of the two sets of holograms resulted from two hidden images are rearranged and integrated into one set of composite holograms with a random scattering matrix (RSM). In decryption the use of this matrix can ensure the exact retrieval of each hologram, and then the perfect reconstruction of each image without cross-talk noise can be achieved. The feasibility of this method and its robustness against occlusion and additional noise are verified by computer simulations with phase-shifting interferometry and double random-phase encoding technique. This approach is suitable for both two- and three-dimensional images, and the additional RSM as a key provides a much higher level of security.  相似文献

An improved polarization recording approach to reduce speckle noise in digital holography is proposed. Multiple off-axis holograms are obtained by rotating the linear polarization state of both illumination and reference wave simultaneously. By averaging the intensity fields, the speckle noise in the reconstructed images is well suppressed. Statistical evaluation of the experimental results shows the effectiveness and improvement of the proposed method.  相似文献

The potential of holograms to achieve improved communication in education and training tasks has been investigated. Experiments in education have been carried out at the secondary level and additionally observations of pupil reactions have been observed for younger children. The holograms were found to command attention which is an important aspect of teaching. Some typical examples of the use of holograms included communication of visual information recorded from rare museum exhibits and science examples in physics and biology. The holograms were capable of displaying images in true perspective, thus conveying the same information as a model or real object, but being conviniently reproduced and requiring a minimum of maintenance and storage space.

The experiments were extended to training in two study areas where interest was expressed by tutors and there was a willingness to cooperate in the creation and use of training material in holographic form. The areas concerned were in foundry technology and textiles. The requirements in foundry technology were to assist students in the comprehension of the solid form from engineering drawings and the reverse requirement to produce adequate engineering drawings to define a cast form. In the textile case holograms were used to assist the comprehension of the relationship between stitch form and fabric properties and to identify machine faults from stitch irregularities.

The number of students formally tested was small leaving statistical analysis inconclusive, but tutors using holograms found that students learned faster when holograms were made available. As a parallel investigation, three undergraduate engineering students used holographic communication as the subject of their project. Subjects included a tutorial display of a carburettor showing the outside form with air and fuel passages in correct perspective. Other examples showed the transmission arrangement in a Mercedes car and the arrangement of cams for a new ‘Locstitch’ textile machine. Holograms also found use in communication between a UK laboratory and overseas manufacturer to explain the effect of bearing lubricant cavitation.

The work was carried out during a period of rapid development of the holographic process and the initial holograms were difficult to use since they required special monochromatic light sources. Later developments used white light reflection holograms which were much more convinient to use. The cost of producing holograms can also be expected to fall. All holograms used in the trials were individually made in the laboratory, but developments in ‘printed’ holograms promise reduced costs in the future. It is to be expected that holograms will in future be used in distance learning packages and possibly in textbooks.  相似文献

We demonstrate that the SPECIFIC CP technique can be used to obtain heteronuclear correlation (HETCOR) spectra of peptide backbones with greater efficiency than conventional HETCOR methods. We show that similar design principles can be employed to achieve selective homonuclear polarization transfer mediated through dipolar or scalar couplings. Both approaches are demonstrated in a tripeptide with uniform 15N and 13C labeling, and with uniform 15N labeling and natural abundance 13C. In other applications, the high efficiency of the heteronuclear SPECIFIC CP transfer allows discrimination of single amide signals in the 248-residue membrane protein bacteriorhodopsin (bR). In particular, variations are detected in the ordering of the Ala81-Arg82 peptide bond among the photocycle intermediates of bR and SPECIFIC CP is used to correlate 15N and 13C signals from the three Val-Pro peptide bonds.  相似文献

Off-axis holograms recorded with a CCD camera are numerically reconstructed in amplitude by calculating through the Fresnel–Kirchhoff integral. A phase-shifting Mach–Zehnder interferometer is used for recording four-quadrature phase-shifted off-axis holograms. The basic principle of this technique and its experimental verification are described. We show that the application of this algorithm allows for the suppression of the zero order of diffraction and of the twin image and that the contrast of the reconstructed images can be further enhanced by digital compensation of the aberrations introduced by the holographic recording system  相似文献

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a simple digital holographic method that allows reconstruction of three-dimensional object images with a narrow depth of focus or axial resolution. A number of holograms are optically generated by use of different wavelengths spaced at regular intervals. The holograms are recorded on a digital camera and reconstructed numerically. Multiwavelength interference of the holograms results in images of the contour plane whose thickness can be made arbitrarily narrow. Objects at different distances from the hologram plane are imaged clearly and independently, with complete suppression of the out-of-focus images. The technique is available only in digital holography and should have useful applications in holographic microscopy.  相似文献
