Singularity of self-similar measures with respect to Hausdorff measures   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Besicovitch (1934) and Eggleston (1949) analyzed subsets of points of the unit interval with given frequencies in the figures of their base- expansions. We extend this analysis to self-similar sets, by replacing the frequencies of figures with the frequencies of the generating similitudes. We focus on the interplay among such sets, self-similar measures, and Hausdorff measures. We give a fine-tuned classification of the Hausdorff measures according to the singularity of the self-similar measures with respect to those measures. We show that the self-similar measures are concentrated on sets whose frequencies of similitudes obey the Law of the Iterated Logarithm.

Necessary and sufficient conditions are found for the equivalence of the measures associated with (i) a Banach space valued Gaussian process, with mean 0, and (ii) a Bach space valued Brownian motion. The notion of a non-anticipative representation of (i) with respect to (ii) is defined and in the case of equivalence of the measures it is shown that such a representation exists and has an explicit stochastic integral form which is invertible. Theorems of Ershov on absolute continuity of measures associated with diffusion processes are extended to Banach space. Applications to infinite-dimensional filtering are considered.  相似文献

We study asymptotic properties of a nonlinear first-order partial differential equation which describes the reproduction of blood cells. This equation under conditions proposed by Wa?ewska generates a semigroup of transformations with highly chaotic behaviour of trajectories. We show that this semigroup has invariant measures with arbitrary large dimension.  相似文献

On weighted spaces with strictly plurisubharmonic weightfunctions the canonical solution operator of and the ‐Neumann operator are bounded. In this paper we find a class of strictly plurisubharmonic weightfunctions with certain growth conditions, so that they are Hilbert‐Schmidt operators between weighted spaces with different weightfunctions, if they are restricted to forms with holomorphic coefficients. In this note, we describe the Picard group of the class of compact, smooth, flat, projective varieties. In view of Charlap's work and Johnson's characterization, we construct line bundles over such manifolds as the holonomy-invariant elements of the Neron-Severi group of a projective flat torus covering the manifold. We prove a generalized version of the Appell-Humbert theorem which shows that the nontrivial elements of the Picard group are precisely those coming from the above construction. Our calculations finally give an estimate for the set of positive line bundles for such varieties.

Referring to Tits alternative, we develop a necessary and sufficient condition to decide whether the normalizer of a finite group of integral matrices is polycyclic-by-finite or is containing a non-Abelian free group. We use the integration structure of the spaces of scalar integrable functions with respect to a vector measure to provide factorization theorems for operators between Banach function spaces through Hilbert spaces. A broad class of Banach function spaces can be represented as spaces of scalar integrable functions with respect to a vector measure, but this representation (the vector measure) is not unique. Since our factorization depends on the vector measure that is used for the representation we also give a characterization of those vector measures whose corresponding spaces of integrable functions coincide.  相似文献

A simple and commonly used method to approximate the total claim distribution of a (possibly weakly dependent) insurance collective is the normal approximation. In this article, we investigate the error made when the normal approximation is plugged in a fairly general distribution-invariant risk measure. We focus on the rate of convergence of the error relative to the number of clients, we specify the relative error’s asymptotic distribution, and we illustrate our results by means of a numerical example. Regarding the risk measure, we take into account distortion risk measures as well as distribution-invariant coherent risk measures.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the stability in terms of two measures for functional differential equation with variable‐time impulses. Being different from most of existing literatures, the impulses of functional differential equation are assumed to be closely associated to the current state. We propose a new comparison principle for the considered systems and establish several stability criteria in terms of two measures. Also, the theoretical results are applied in a class of delayed neural network systems with variable‐tine impulses, and numerical simulations are introduced to illustrate the effectiveness of our results. In this paper, the problem of stability in terms of two measures is considered for a class of stochastic partial differential delay equations with switching. Sufficient conditions for stability in terms of two measures are obtained based on the technique of constructing a proper approximating strong solution system and conducting a limiting type of argument to pass on stability of strong solutions to mild ones. In particular, the stochastic stability under the fixed‐index sequence monotonicity condition and under the average dwell‐time switching are considered.  相似文献

The symbol $\widehat{G}$ denotes the group of all continuous characters $\chi :G\rightarrow {\mathbb T}$ endowed with the compact open topology. A subset E of G is said to be qc‐dense in G provided that χ(E)?φ([? 1/4, 1/4]) holds only for the trivial character $\chi \in \widehat{G}$, where $\varphi : {\mathbb R}\rightarrow {\mathbb T}={\mathbb R}/{\mathbb Z}$ is the canonical homomorphism. A super‐sequence is a non‐empty compact Hausdorff space S with at most one non‐isolated point (to which S converges). We prove that an infinite compact abelian group G is connected if and only if its arc component Ga contains a super‐sequence converging to 0 that is qc‐dense in G. This gives as a corollary a recent theorem of Außenhofer: For a connected locally compact abelian group G, the restriction homomorphism $r:\widehat{G}\rightarrow \widehat{G}_a$ defined by $r(\chi )=\chi \upharpoonright _{G_a}$ for $\chi \in \widehat{G}$, is a topological isomorphism. We show that an infinite compact group G is connected if and only if its arc component Ga contains a super‐sequence converging to the identity that is qc‐dense in G and generates a dense subgroup of G. We also offer a short alternative proof of the result of Hofmann and Morris on the existence of suitable sets of minimal size in the arc component of a compact connected group.  相似文献

Let X be a locally compact, second countable Hausdorff topological space. We consider a family of commuting Hermitian operators a(Δ) indexed by all measurable, relatively compact sets Δ in X (a quantum stochastic process over X). For such a family, we introduce the notion of a correlation measure. We prove that, if the family of operators possesses a correlation measure which satisfies some condition of growth, then there exists a point process over X having the same correlation measure. Furthermore, the operators a(Δ) can be realized as multiplication operators in the L2-space with respect to this point process. In the proof, we utilize the notion of ?-positive definiteness, proposed in [Y.G. Kondratiev, T. Kuna, Harmonic analysis on the configuration space I. General theory, Infin. Dimens. Anal. Quantum Probab. Relat. Top. 5 (2002) 201-233]. In particular, our result extends the criterion of existence of a point process from that paper to the case of the topological space X, which is a standard underlying space in the theory of point processes. As applications, we discuss particle densities of the quasi-free representations of the CAR and CCR, which lead to fermion, boson, fermion-like, and boson-like (e.g. para-fermions and para-bosons of order 2) point processes. In particular, we prove that any fermion point process corresponding to a Hermitian kernel may be derived in this way.  相似文献

The Pontryagin-van Kampen (P-vK) duality, defined for topological Abelian groups, is given in terms of the compact-open topology. Polar reflexive spaces, introduced by Köthe, are those locally convex spaces satisfying duality when the dual space is equipped with the precompact-open topology. It is known that the additive groups of polar reflexive spaces satisfy P-vK duality. In this note we consider the duality of topological Abelian groups when the topology of the dual is the precompact-open topology. We characterize the precompact reflexive groups, i.e., topological groups satisfying the group duality defined in terms of the precompact-open topology. As a consequence, we obtain a new characterization of polar reflexive spaces. We also present an example of a space which satisfies P-vK duality and is not polar reflexive. Some of our results respond to questions appearing in the literature.  相似文献

The main objective of this paper is to prove the essential self-adjointness of Dirichlet operators in L2(μ) where μ is a Gibbs measure on an infinite volume path space C(R,Rd). This operator can be regarded as a perturbation of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator by a nonlinearity and corresponds to a parabolic stochastic partial differential equation (= SPDE, in abbreviation) on R. In view of quantum field theory, the solution of this SPDE is called a P1(?)-time evolution.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to obtain certain characterizations for the image of a Sobolev space on the Heisenberg group under the heat kernel transform. We give three types of characterizations for the image of a Sobolev space of positive order $H^m(\mathbb {H}^n), m\in \mathbb {N}^n,$ under the heat kernel transform on $\mathbb {H}^n,$ using direct sum and direct integral of Bergmann spaces and certain unitary representations of $\mathbb {H}^n$ which can be realized on the Hilbert space of Hilbert‐Schmidt operators on $L^2(\mathbb {R}^n).$ We also show that the image of Sobolev space of negative order $H^{-s}(\mathbb {H}^n), s(>0) \in \mathbb {R}$ is a direct sum of two weighted Bergman spaces. Finally, we try to obtain some pointwise estimates for the functions in the image of Schwartz class on $\mathbb {H}^n$ under the heat kernel transform.  相似文献
