We study the effect of the magnetic field on the pairing state competition in organic conductors (TMTSF)2X by applying random phase approximation to a quasi-one-dimensional extended Hubbard model. We show that the singlet pairing, triplet pairing and the Fulde–Ferrell–Larkin–Ovchinnikov (FFLO) superconducting states may compete when charge fluctuations coexist with spin fluctuations. This rises a possibility of a consecutive transition from singlet pairing to FFLO state and further to Sz = 1 triplet pairing upon increasing the magnetic field. We also show that the singlet and Sz = 0 triplet components of the gap function in the FFLO state have “d-wave” and “f-wave” forms, respectively, which are strongly mixed.  相似文献

We study the effect of dimerization of TMTSF molecules and the effect of magnetic field (Zeeman splitting) on the phase competition in quasi one-dimensional organic superconductors (TMTSF)2X by applying the random phase approximation method. As for the dimerization effect, we conclude that due to the decrease of the dimerization, which corresponds to applying the pressure and cooling, spin and charge density wave states are suppressed and give way to a superconducting state. As for the magnetic field effect, we find generally that spin-triplet pairing mediated by a coexistence of 2kF spin and 2kF charge fluctuations can be strongly enhanced by applying magnetic field rather than triplet pairing due to a ferromagnetic spin fluctuations. Applying the above idea to (TMTSF)2X compounds, a magnetic field induced singlet-triplet transition is consistent with above mechanism in (TMTSF)2ClO4.  相似文献

Spin polarization of L23M23M23 Auger electrons from ferromagnetic Fe83B17 is calculated with a simplified model, and compared with recent experiments. The Auger electron spectrum has two peaks, corresponding to the singlet and triplet final states of a 3p hole pair. It is shown that the spin polarizations of the singlet and triplet peaks, respectively, originate from the exchange interaction between 3d and 2p spins and that between 3d and 3p spins. Similar effects are expected to be observed commonly for L23M23M23 Auger electrons from various ferromagnetic materials including transition elements.  相似文献

We study the spin triplet pairing superconducting states of the itinerant Ising model. The spin and spatial symmetries of the states are explored. We find that only a restricted set of spin symmetry states are allowed, while an infinite number of spatial symmetry states exist. The spin triplet pairing states can either be gapless or have finite energy gaps, but all spin triplet pairing states have the sameT c .The free energies of spin triplet and spin singlet pairing states are calculated and compared.  相似文献

The upper critical field is determined for an even-parity singlet pairing state in the presence of arbitrary spin-orbit scattering. Comparison with critical field experiments suggests that superconductivity in CeCu2Si2 is a singlet pairing state, and in UBe13 is either a triplet pairing state or is a singlet state with restrictive conditions that the pair orbital be nearly isotropic and that strong spin-orbit scattering increase strongly as the field increases.  相似文献

Based on the scattering theory, we calculate the Josephson current in a junction between two ferromagnetic superconductors as a function of the interface potential z. We consider the ferromagnetic superconductor(FS) in three different Cooper pairing states: spin singlet s-wave pairing(SWP) state, spin triplet opposite spin pairing(OSP) state, and spin triplet equal spin pairing(ESP) state. We find that the critical Josephson current as a function of z shows clear differences among the SWP, OSP, and ESP states. The obtained results can be used as a useful tool for determining the pair symmetry of the ferromagnetic superconductors.  相似文献

When a spin-triplet superconductor is attached to a ferromagnet, the tunneling conductance depends not only on the degree of the spin polarization but also sensitively on the relative angles between the magnetic moment in ferromagnet and the d-vector in spin-triplet superconductor. We study theoretically the tunneling conductance in ferromagnet/triplet superconductors assuming three nodal unitary gap functions, which are promising candidates for the pairing symmetry of Sr2RuO4. Our results suggest that the d-vector direction in Sr2RuO4 may be detected by performing angular dependent tunneling spectroscopy in this hybrid structure. We also show that these three gap functions can be distinguished by their distinctive conductance spectra.  相似文献

Neutron scattering has been used to measure the charge and spin structure in the YBa2Cu3O6+x superconductors. Incommensurate static charge ordering is found at low doping levels while only charge fluctuations are found at higher doping. The spin structure is complex with both a commensurate resonance and incommensurate structure observed at low temperatures. The scattering results are used to construct a phase diagram for stripes in the YBa2Cu3O6+x system.  相似文献

Cluster based analysis show that the observable three-level YbB12 spin excitations character can be reproduced in the framework of the asymmetric variant of periodic Anderson model with a singlet ground state and two electrons per site. For the macroscopic system the effective Hamiltonian with the direct f-f exchange is justified and the dynamic spin susceptibility of f-electrons is found. It is shown that the lowest spin excitation dispersion has minimum at the antiferromagnetic vector as observed in the experiment. The distinctive feature of analysis is the using of singlet and triplet basis operators.  相似文献

We report the structural, magentoresistance and electro-magnetic properties of ferromagnet–ferroelectric–type (1−x)La0.7Sr0.3MnO3/xBaTiO3 (with x=0.0%, 3.0%, 6.0%, 12%, 15.0% and 18.0%, in wt%) composites fabricated through a solid-state reaction method combined with a high energy milling method. The insulator–metal transition temperature shifts to a lower temperature and resistivity increases while the feromagnetic–paramagnetic transition temperature remains almost unchanged with the increase of BaTiO3 content. Magnetoresistance of the composites at an applied magnetic field H=3 kOe is enhanced in the wide temperature ranges with the introduction of BaTiO3, which could be explained by the enhanced spin polarized tunneling effect induced by the introduction of BaTiO3. The low-field magnetoresistance of the composite is analyzed in the light of a phenomenological model based on the spin polarized tunneling at the grain boundaries. Furthermore, the temperature dependence of resistivity for this series has been best-fitted by using the adiabatic small polaron and variable range hopping models. These models may be used to explain effect of BTO on the electronic transport properties on high temperature paramagnetic insulating region.  相似文献

In materials without an inversion center of symmetry the spin degeneracy of the conducting band is lifted by an antisymmetric spin orbit coupling (ASOC). Under such circumstances, spin and parity cannot be separately used to classify the Cooper pairing states. Consequently, the superconducting order parameter is generally a mixture of spin singlet and triplet pairing states. In this paper we investigate the structure of the order parameter and its response to disorder for the most symmetric pairing state (A1). Using the example of the heavy Fermion superconductor CePt3Si, we determine characteristic properties of the superconducting instability. Depending on the type of the pairing interaction, the gap function is characterized by the presence of line nodes. We show that this line nodes move in general upon temperature. Such nodes would be essential to explain recent low-temperature data of thermodynamic quantities such as the NMR-T1 -1, London penetration depth, and heat conductance. Moreover, we study the effect of (non-magnetic) impurity on the superconducting state.  相似文献

We review our nuclear-magnetic resonance (NMR) and nuclear-quadrupole-resonance (NQR) studies in superconducting Sr2RuO4, which have been performed in order to investigate the gap structure and the pairing symmetry in the superconducting state and magnetic fluctuations in the normal state. The spin-lattice relaxation rate (1/T1) of a high-quality sample with shows a sharp decrease without a coherence peak just below Tc, followed by a T3 behavior down to 0.15 K. This result indicates that the superconducting gap in pure Sr2RuO4 is a highly anisotropic character with a line-node gap. The Knight shift, which is related to the spin susceptibility, is unchanged in the superconducting state irrespective of the direction of the applied fields and various magnitude of the field. This result strongly suggests that the superconducting pairs are in the spin-triplet state, and the spin direction of the triplet pairs is considered to be changed by small fields of several hundred Oe.  相似文献

The electronic structures of CaCu3Mn4O12 and CaCu3Ti4O12 are investigated from HF SCF LCAO calculation. In CaCu3Mn4O12, the band and the density of states show a spin asymmetric ferrimagnetic character with a small energy gap. The Mn spin is anti-aligned with the Cu spin, and the total spin moment is 9 μB. Our calculation correctly reproduces the observed antiferromagnetic insulating character of CaCu3Ti4O12. The gap in the band structure, which is 2.15 eV, reasonably agrees with the experimental value 1.5 eV. The electron density populations at different planes show clearly that the electron density has symmetric character. A tilted Mn(Ti) orbital implies a typical tilted three-dimensional network of MnO6 (TiO6) octahedra due to doping of the Jahn–Teller ion Cu. There is no covalency between Ca, Cu and Mn(Ti) atoms. In contrast, there are stronger bonds and somewhat likely covalency between Cu and O atoms, and also between Mn(Ti) and O atoms.  相似文献

A generalization of the Cooper pairing mechanism is proposed which allows for a triplet state of lower energy. This is achieved by incorporating spin into the canonical commutation relations and by modifying the δ potential contact interaction. The gap equation contain as solutions both singlet and triplet states. It is shown that the triplet state is lower in energy than the singlet state which may explain the spin-triplet superconductivity observed.  相似文献

The observed tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) effect in La0.9Ba0.1MnO3 (LBMO)/Nb-doped SrTiO3 (Nb-STO) p+-n junctions is investigated and a possible mechanism responsible for the TMR generation is proposed by taking into account the dynamic spin accumulation and paramagnetic magnetization in the Nb-STO layer. Because of carrier diffusion across the dynamic domain boundaries in the Nb-STO layer and spin disordering in the LBMO layer, the tunneling resistance through the junction is high at zero magnetic field. The spin disordering is suppressed upon applying a non-zero magnetic field, which results in the spin-polarized tunneling in this ferromagnetic/depletion layer/dynamic ferromagnetic sandwiched structure and thus the observed TMR effect. The dependence of the TMR effect on the domain size in the LBMO layer, the tunneling current and temperature as well is explained, qualitatively consistent with the experimental observation.  相似文献

We study the Andreev bound states in a Josephson junction between a singlet and a triplet superconductors. Because of the mismatch in the spin symmetries of pairing, the energies of the spin-up and -down quasiparticles are generally different. This results in imbalance of spin populations and net spin accumulation at the junction in equilibrium. This effect can be detected using probes of local magnetic field, such as the scanning SQUID, Hall, and Kerr probes. It may help to identify potential triplet pairing in (TMTSF)2X, Sr2RuO4, and oxypnictides.  相似文献

The electronic and magnetic properties of NdCrSb3 are calculated by the first principles full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method based on the density functional theory (DFT). Density of states (DOS), magnetic moments and band structures of the system are presented. For the exchange and correlation energy, local spin density approximation (LSDA+U) with the inclusion of Hubbard potential U is used. Our calculation shows that the 3d state electron of Cr and 4f state electrons of Nd contribute to the total DOS and the band structures. The effective magnetic moment is found to be 5.77μB, which is comparable to the earlier experimental results of NdCrSb3.  相似文献

The electronic structure and magnetic properties of new layered oxyselenide compounds La2O3Fe2Se2 and La2O3Co2Se2 are studied by first-principles calculations. Our results indicate that both compounds are Mott-insulators with orbital ordering. The ground states of both compounds are the checkerboard antiferromagnetic states, which are different from the iron pnictide superconductors, although their structures are similar to those of the Fe-As-based superconductors.  相似文献

Using electron spin resonance (ESR) technique we have obtained data evidencing the existence of magnetic vortices in high-temperature superconductors at temperatures above the critical one T c. We have studied magnetic excitations in Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 single crystals above T c with the method of surface spin decoration. The surface layer of diphenylpicrylhydrazyl was used as a sensitive probe of magnetic field distortions. The temperature dependence of the ESR signal parameters has indicated that far above T c the magnetic flux of a sample is affected by the superconducting order parameter fluctuations while close to T c its changes are due to vortex-type excitations.  相似文献

The effect of a spiral spin structure on superconducting (SC) pairing in a three-band Hubbard model related to Sr2RuO4 is analyzed in the mean-field approximation. Such a structure with incommensurate vector Q=2π (1/3, 1/3) is the simplest one that removes the nesting instability of α and β bands. It is assumed that there is an intralayer pairing interaction between two types of neighbor sites, those with attraction in a singlet channel and with attraction in both two-singlet and triplet channels. In both cases, a mixed singlet-triplet SC order is observed in the γ band: a d-wave singlet order is accompanied by the formation of p-wave triplet pairs (k,-k-Q)? and (k,?k+Q)? with large total momenta ?Q and the spin projections ±1 onto an axis perpendicular to the spin rotation plane of the spiral spin structure. Both the SC and normal states are states with broken time-reversal symmetry. In contradiction to the experiment, the models give different scales of T c for the γ band and for α and β bands. This fact shows that the models with intralayer interactions or with the spin structure assumed are insufficient.  相似文献
