We present data on the inclusive γ, λ0 and KSspectra produced forward direction by interactions of 23.85 GeV/c protons in a copper target. The Λ0 spectra are compared with the predictions of the Hagedorn-Ranft model.  相似文献

Correlations of secondary protons in 4Hep interactions are investigated in an exclusive experiment with the aid of a 2-m liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to an alpha-particle beam of momentum 5 GeV/c the kinetic energy of primary protons in the rest frame of the nucleus is Tp=620 MeV). By using data obtained in 4π geometry for six basic channels of 4Hep interaction that lead to the production of two protons, the total correlation function for the pp system is determined, along with two-proton correlation functions for individual channels. Experimental results are compared with the predictions of the modified Lednicky-Lyuboshitz model. The value of R=1.6±0.3 fm is obtained for the root-meansquare spacetime radius of pp emission in 4Hep interactions. The dependence of the correlation function on the total momentum of two emitted protons and on the momentum-transfer direction is investigated.  相似文献

Polarization measurements in the A(p, 2p)B reactions on 6Li, 7Li, and 28Si nuclei at a proton-beam energy of 1 GeV were performed in a kinematically complete experiment. By using a two-arm magnetic spectrometer, two secondary protons were recorded in coincidence at asymmetric scattering angles of θ1=15°?26° and θ2=58.6° for residual-nucleus momenta in the range K B=0–150 MeV/c. Either arm of the spectrometer was equipped with polarimeters based on proportional chambers. The data coming from this experiment are analyzed within the distorted-wave impulse approximation. It is shown that the polarization of recoil protons formed at angle θ2 in the interaction featuring a proton from the P shell of the 7Li nucleus can be described under the assumption of an effective intranuclear-proton polarization by using the single-particle shell-model wave function of the nucleus. Our data on the polarizations of the two protons from the reaction (p, 2p) on a 28Si nucleus also suggest the effective polarization of the protons in the D shell of the 28Si nucleus. It is found that, for high recoil-nucleus momenta of K B≥90 MeV/c, the effective polarization of the protons in the P shell of the 6Li nucleus—this polarization was discovered in studying the polarization of recoil protons in the reaction 6Li(p, 2p)5He—cannot be described within the shell model assuming LS coupling. As might have been expected, the polarization of recoil protons knocked out from the S shells of the 6Li and 7Li nuclei comply well with the predictions obtained in the impulse approximation with allowance for the depolarization effect alone.  相似文献

The polarization of protons from the 9Be(d,p)10Be reaction at Ed = 12.0 MeV was measured for the ground state and first excited state transitions. The results obtained are compared with the predictions of DWBA theory. It was found that better fits to the experimental data can be obtained using volume absorption in the distorting potential of the deuteron elastic channel. A comparison of the present polarization data with the vector analysing power for the same reaction and the same incident deuteron energy has also been made.  相似文献

Experimental data for exclusive channels of multiplicity 4–8 in 32 GeV/cK ? p reactions are compared with predictions of the Lund model. This leads to the following insights: — Evidence is obtained for azimuthal correlations betweenK + K ? pairs and p pairs supporting the Lund fragmenttation scheme. — The disagreement of the observed behaviour of leading protons andK ? with the model predictions indicates that the fate of the valence quarks is not well described by the model. The data support the idea of valence quark separation as advocated by dual models.  相似文献

Proton diffusion in the room-temperature phase (phase II) of [(NH4)1?xRbx]3H(SO4)2 (0≤x≤1) has been studied by means of 1H spin-lattice relaxation times in the rotating frame, T. The 1H T values were measured at 200.13 MHz in the range of 380–490 K. The ammonium protons and the acidic protons have independent T values in the higher temperature range of phase II, suggesting that the spin diffusion between the two species is ineffective. The translational diffusion of the acidic protons is the most dominant mechanism to relax both the ammonium protons and the acidic protons in phase II. The 1H T values in phase II are analyzed theoretically and the motional parameters are obtained. The results of NMR well explain the macroscopic proton conductivity.  相似文献

The polarization correlation parameter C nn in the elastic proton-proton scattering was for the first time measured with a high statistical accuracy at 1 GeV using an unpolarized proton beam incident on an unpolarized proton target. Both outgoing protons from the reaction were detected in coincidence by means of a two-arm focusing magnetic spectrometer installed at nonsymmetric angles corresponding to the center-of-mass scattering angle Θcm = 62.25°. The correlation parameter C nn , as well as polarizations P 1 and P 2 of the secondary protons, were measured by means of multiwire proportional chamber polarimeters placed at the focal planes of each spectrometer arm. The obtained data are compared with the predictions of the phase-shift analysis. The connection with the experiment on C nn and polarization measurements in the (p, 2p) reaction on 4He and other light nuclei in similar kinematics is discussed  相似文献

The mean multiplicities of π? mesons and protons originating from pC, dC, αC, and CC interactions at a momentum of p=4.2 GeV/c per projectile nucleon and the distributions of these particles in kinematical variables are presented. These experimental distributions are compared with the corresponding predictions obtained on the basis of the FRITIOF model. It is shown that the FRITIOF version used in the present analysis describes satisfactorily our experimental data.  相似文献

Data on the multiplicity, momentum and angular spectra of fastp n1 GeV/c) neutrons produced in inelastic interactions of protons with neon nuclei and protons at 300 GeV/c are presented. The experimental results obtained for p20Ne interactions are compared with predictions of the additive quark model in which the intranuclear cascading of slow particles is taken into account.We thank V. The magnetic moment of 2+1 state for 10Be are calculated and investigated in terms of single particle orbits for protons and neutrons under the framework of ab initio Monte Carlo shell model method in an emax = 3 model space. The reduced matrix elements of orbital and spin angular momentum are evaluated. It is found that the orientations of orbital angular momentum in diferent single particle orbits are consistent. Conversely,the orientations of spin in diferent single particle orbits tend to be chaotic. The nuclear magnetic moment of 2+1 state for 10Be is obtained as 1.006N and is discussed in regards to the contribution of orbital and spin angular momentum both for protons and neutrons. The precise spectra of Cosmic Ray(CR) electrons and positrons have been published by the measurement of AMS-02. It is reasonable to regard the difference between the electron and positron spectra(?Φ = Φ_(e-)-Φ_(e+)) as being dominated by primary electrons. The resulting electron spectrum shows no sign of spectral softening above 20 GeV, which is in contrast with the prediction of the standard model of CR propagation. In this work, we generalize the analytic one-dimensional two-halo model of diffusion to a three-dimensional realistic calculation by implementing spatial variant diffusion coefficients in the DRAGON package. As a result, we can reproduce the spectral hardening of protons observed by several experiments, and predict an excess of high energy primary electrons which agrees with the measurement reasonably well. Unlike the break spectrum obtained for protons, the model calculation predicts a smooth electron excess and thus slightly over-predicts the flux from tens of GeV to 100 GeV. To understand this issue, further experimental and theoretical studies are necessary.  相似文献

The production ofK + andπ + mesons and protons inpBe collisions atT p=2.9 GeV has been studied at the ITEP proton synchrotron. Ejectiles with a momentum ofp=545 MeV/c were observed under an emission angle ?=17°. The detectors which have been developed for the identification of kaons out of a six orders of magnitude more intense background of pions and protons are described. A cross-section ratio d2σ K +/dΩdp: d2 σ p /dΩdp: d2σ p /dΩdp of (1±0.34):(85±1):(31±1) has been measured. Normalization with existing pion data yields an invariant differential cross sectionE·d3σ K +/d3 p=(3.1±1.2) mbGeV?2c3sr?1 and a total cross section of σtot(pBe)=(3.7±1.5) mb. These cross sections are compared with existing data and theoretical predictions. TheA dependence ofK + production in the few-GeV range is analyzed.  相似文献

Production of oppositely charged particle pairs at largep T is studied, where both particles, are in the central rapidity region within one unit of rapidity and nearby in azimuth. The data sample, which comes fromπ ? Be interactions obtained using the CERN OMEGA spectrometer, contains events with a pair of oppositely charged particles havingp T ≧2 GeV/c recoiling, against a third one withp T ≧1 GeV/c. Our data provide new information on short range correlations involving the production of the nine possible pairs made from (π +,K +,p) and \((\pi ^ - ,K^ - ,\bar p)\) . Comparison with Lund Monte Carlo predictions is made. Apart from proton yields, the model reproduces correctly our data. The main discrepancies observed with protons can be attributed to hard scattering of diquarks from the target nucleons.  相似文献

The total and topological 4Hep cross sections, as well as the cross sections for individual αpinteraction channels and the differential cross sections /dt for elastic αp scattering, were measured by using a 2-m hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a separated beam of 5-GeV/c α particles from the ITEP synchrotron (the kinetic energy of initial protons in the nuclear rest frame was T p=620 MeV). The data obtained are compared with the results of previous experiments and with theoretical predictions based on Glauber-Sitenko multiple-scattering theory.  相似文献

Excitation functions of the compound nuclear reactions191+193Ir,197Au(6Li,xn+yp) forx =3–13 andy=0–2 have been investigated by means of in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy at the 156 MeV6Li beam of the Karlsruhe Isochronous Cyclotron. The beam energy has been varied in the range of 48 to 156 MeV in steps of about 10 MeV by Be-absorber foils in the external beam line. Absolute cross sections have been determined by normalizing the measuredγ-ray intensities to the production cross sections ofK- X-rays in the target. The experimental excitation functions are discussed on the basis of predictions of the preequilibrium (hybrid) model. While in most cases the theoretical calculations fairly well reproduce energy position and shapes of the curves, strong discrepancies in the absolute scale of the cross sections are observed. The theoretical predictions overestimate the (6Li,xn) cross sections by a factor of about 6. Conspicuous anomalies have been detected when comparing the (6Li, xn+1(2)p) reactions with (6Li,xn) reactions. The reactions with emission of one or two protons are considerably enhanced. The discrepancies and anomalies observed are tentatively explained by the influence of direct reaction channels as the6Li break-up, which experimentally proved to be the dominant contribution to the total reaction cross section. The enhancement of the reactions with emission of protons may be a consequence of transfer reactions into highly excited states combined with compound nucleus formation thus implying a cluster effect in preequilibrium emission process.  相似文献

We investigated the temperature dependences of the line shape, spin-lattice relaxation time, T1, and spin-spin relaxation time, T2, of the 1H nuclei in (NH4)4LiH3(SO4)4 single crystals. On the basis of the data obtained, we were able to distinguish the “ammonium” and “hydrogen-bond” protons in the crystals. For both the ammonium and hydrogen-bond protons in (NH4)4LiH3(SO4)4, the curves of T1 and T2 versus temperature changed significantly near the ferroelastic and superionic phase transitions at TC (=232 K) and TS (=405 K), respectively. In particular, near TS, the 1H signal due to the hydrogen-bond protons abruptly narrowed and the T2 value for these protons abruptly increased, indicating that these protons play an important role in this superionic phase transition. The marked increase in the T2 of the hydrogen-bond protons above TS indicates that the breaking of O-H?O bonds and the formation of new H-bonds with HSO4- contribute significantly to the high-temperature conductivity of (NH4)4LiH3(SO4)4 crystals.  相似文献

The predictions of a multi-configurational shell model continuum calculation for the11B(p, p) and11B(p,p′) reaction channels are discussed. In the calculated excitation function for the (p, p 1) channel theT=1, 2? resonances play a dominant role in the region of 22 MeV to 24 MeV excitation in12C. These model predictions are consistent with the known parent states in the12B system. Corroborative evidence is also obtained by comparing theory with the differential cross section data.  相似文献

In the present paper nuclear structure properties of 86,87,88,89Y isotopes have been investigated using large-scale shell-model calculations within the full f 5/2pg9/2 model space. The calculations have been performed with JUN45 and jj44b effective interactions that have been proposed for use in the f 5/2, p 3/2, p 1/2, g 9/2 model space for both protons and neutrons. Reasonable agreement between experimental and calculated values are obtained. This work will add more information to the previous study by the projected shell model [Eur. Phys. J. A 48, 138 (2012)], where full-fledged shell-model calculations were proposed for these nuclei.  相似文献
