In a Hilbert space we construct a regularized continuous analog of the Newton method for nonlinear equation with a Fréchet differentiable and monotone operator. We obtain sufficient conditions of its strong convergence to the normal solution of the given equation under approximate assignment of the operator and the right-hand of the equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the Moreau-Yosida regularization of monotone variational inequalities to the case of weakly monotone and pseudomonotone operators. With these properties, the regularized operator satisfies the pseudo-Dunn property with respect to any solution of the variational inequality problem. As a consequence, the regularized version of the auxiliary problem algorithm converges. In this case, when the operator involved in the variational inequality problem is Lipschitz continuous (a property stronger than weak monotonicity) and pseudomonotone, we prove the convergence of the progressive regularization introduced in Refs. 1, 2.  相似文献

We study various error measures for approximate solution of proximal point regularizations of the variational inequality problem, and of the closely related problem of finding a zero of a maximal monotone operator. A new merit function is proposed for proximal point subproblems associated with the latter. This merit function is based on Burachik-Iusem-Svaiter’s concept of ε-enlargement of a maximal monotone operator. For variational inequalities, we establish a precise relationship between the regularized gap function, which is a natural error measure in this context, and our new merit function. Some error bounds are derived using both merit functions for the corresponding formulations of the proximal subproblem. We further use the regularized gap function to devise a new inexact proximal point algorithm for solving monotone variational inequalities. This inexact proximal point method preserves all the desirable global and local convergence properties of the classical exact/inexact method, while providing a constructive error tolerance criterion, suitable for further practical applications. The use of other tolerance rules is also discussed. Received: April 28, 1999 / Accepted: March 24, 2000?Published online July 20, 2000  相似文献

Extended Projection Methods for Monotone Variational Inequalities   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper, we prove that each monotone variational inequality is equivalent to a two-mapping variational inequality problem. On the basis of this fact, a new class of iterative methods for the solution of nonlinear monotone variational inequality problems is presented. The global convergence of the proposed methods is established under the monotonicity assumption. The conditions concerning the implementability of the algorithms are also discussed. The proposed methods have a close relationship to the Douglas–Rachford operator splitting method for monotone variational inequalities.  相似文献

In this paper, we turn our attention to formulating and studying a new class of variational inequalities in a nonconvex setting, called regularized nonconvex mixed variational inequalities. By using the auxiliary principle technique, some new predictor corrector methods for solving such class of regularized nonconvex mixed variational inequalities are suggested and analyzed. The study of convergence analysis of the proposed iterative algorithms requires either pseudomonotonicity or partially mixed relaxed and strong monotonicity of the operator involved in regularized nonconvex mixed variational inequalities. As a consequence of our main results, we provide the correct versions of the algorithms and results presented in the literature.  相似文献

We extend the Tikhonov regularization method widely used in optimization and monotone variational inequality studies to equilibrium problems. It is shown that the convergence results obtained from the monotone variational inequality remain valid for the monotone equilibrium problem. For pseudomonotone equilibrium problems, the Tikhonov regularized subproblems have a unique solution only in the limit, but any Tikhonov trajectory tends to the solution of the original problem, which is the unique solution of the strongly monotone equilibrium problem defined on the basis of the regularization bifunction.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new hybrid iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of zeroes of a maximal monotone operator, the set of fixed points of a relatively quasi-nonexpansive mapping, the sets of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the variational inequality problem in Banach spaces. As applications, we apply our results to obtain strong convergence theorems for a maximal monotone operator and quasi-nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces and we consider a problem of finding a minimizer of a convex function.  相似文献

Based on the convergence theorem recently proved by the second author, we modify the iterative scheme studied by Moudafi for quasi-nonexpansive operators to obtain strong convergence to a solution of the split common fixed point problem. It is noted that Moudafi's original scheme can conclude only weak convergence. As a consequence, we obtain strong convergence theorems for split variational inequality problems for Lipschitz continuous and monotone operators, split common null point problems for maximal monotone operators, and Moudafi's split feasibility problem.  相似文献

The stability and convergence of the solutions of perturbed and regularized variational inequality to the solutions of the primary (unstable a priori) variational inequality with proper monotone operator are investigated. All the objects of inequality: the operatorA, the right-hand partf and the set of constrains are to be perturbed. At the same time no assumptions of boundedness and smoothness of the operatorA are used. The connection between the parameters of perturbations, which guarantees strong convergence of approximate solutions, is established. It is proved that the existence of the solution to the unperturbed variational inequality is necessary and sufficient condition for convergence of the regularized perturbed inequality solutions. This research was supported in part by the Ministry of Science Grant 3481-1-91 and by the Ministry of Absorption Center for Absorption in Science.  相似文献

We introduce an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the solution set of the equilibrium problem, the solution set of the variational inequality problem for an inverse-strongly-monotone operators and the solution set of a maximal monotone operator in a 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space, and then we present strong convergence theorems which generalize the results of many others.  相似文献

For nonsymmetric operators involved in variational inequalities, the strong monotonicity of their possibly multivalued inverse operators (referred to as the Dunn property) appears to be the weakest requirement to ensure convergence of most iterative algorithms of resolution proposed in the literature. This implies the Lipschitz property, and both properties are equivalent for symmetric operators. For Lipschitz operators, the Dunn property is weaker than strong monotonicity, but is stronger than simple monotonicity. Moreover, it is always enforced by the Moreau–Yosida regularization and it is satisfied by the resolvents of monotone operators. Therefore, algorithms should always be applied to this regularized version or they should use resolvents: in a sense, this is what is achieved in proximal and splitting methods among others. However, the operation of regularization itself or the computation of resolvents may be as complex as solving the original variational inequality. In this paper, the concept of progressive regularization is introduced and a convergent algorithm is proposed for solving variational inequalities involving nonsymmetric monotone operators. Essentially, the idea is to use the auxiliary problem principle to perform the regularization operation and, at the same time, to solve the variational inequality in its approximately regularized version; thus, two iteration processes are performed simultaneously, instead of being nested in each other, yielding a global explicit iterative scheme. Parallel and sequential versions of the algorithm are presented. A simple numerical example demonstrates the behavior of these two versions for the case where previously proposed algorithms fail to converge unless regularization or computation of a resolvent is performed at each iteration. Since the auxiliary problem principle is a general framework to obtain decomposition methods, the results presented here extend the class of problems for which decomposition methods can be used.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the solution set of a constrained convex minimization problem and the set of solutions of a finite family of variational inclusion problems in Hilbert space. A strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the solution set of a constrained convex minimization problem and the solution sets of a finite family of zero points of the maximal monotone operator problem in Hilbert space is also obtained. Using our main result, we have some additional results for various types of non-linear problems in Hilbert space.  相似文献

Numerical solution of ill-posed operator equations requires regularization techniques. The convergence of regularized solutions to the exact solution can be usually guaranteed, but to also obtain estimates for the speed of convergence one has to exploit some kind of smoothness of the exact solution. We consider four such smoothness concepts in a Hilbert space setting: source conditions, approximate source conditions, variational inequalities, and approximate variational inequalities. Besides some new auxiliary results on variational inequalities the equivalence of the last three concepts is shown. In addition, it turns out that the classical concept of source conditions and the modern concept of variational inequalities are connected via Fenchel duality.  相似文献

We consider optimization methods for monotone variational inequality problems with nonlinear inequality constraints. First, we study the mixed complementarity problem based on the original problem. Then, a merit function for the mixed complementarity problem is proposed, and some desirable properties of the merit function are obtained. Through the merit function, the original variational inequality problem is reformulated as simple bounded minimization. Under certain assumptions, we show that any stationary point of the optimization problem is a solution of the problem considered. Finally, we propose a descent method for the variational inequality problem and prove its global convergence.  相似文献

For variational inequalities with monotone operators in Banach spaces a regularized perturbed inequality is constructed by means of a strongly monotone linear operator, a general scheme of approximating regularized solutions is investigated, and an example of construction of such a linear operator based on information on the operator of the problem is given.Translated from Urainskii Matematicheskii Zhurnal, Vol. 43, No. 9, pp. 1273–1276, September, 1991.  相似文献

We know that variational inequality problem is very important in the nonlinear analysis. For a variational inequality problem defined over a nonempty fixed point set of a nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert space, the strong convergence theorem has been proposed by I. Yamada. The algorithm in this theorem is named the hybrid steepest descent method. Based on this method, we propose a new weak convergence theorem for zero points of inverse strongly monotone mapping and fixed points of nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert space. Using this result, we obtain some new weak convergence theorems which are useful in nonlinear analysis and optimization problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove two strong convergence theorems for finding a common point of the set of zero points of the addition of an inverse-strongly monotone mapping and a maximal monotone operator and the set of zero points of a maximal monotone operator, which is related to an equilibrium problem in a Hilbert space. Such theorems improve and extend the results announced by Y. Liu (Nonlinear Anal. 71:4852–4861, 2009). As applications of the results, we present well-known and new strong convergence theorems which are connected with the variational inequality, the equilibrium problem and the fixed point problem in a Hilbert space.  相似文献

We study the single projection algorithm of Tseng for solving a variational inequality problem in a 2-uniformly convex Banach space. The underline cost function of the variational inequality is assumed to be monotone and Lipschitz continuous. A weak convergence result is obtained under reasonable assumptions on the variable step-sizes. We also give the strong convergence result for when the underline cost function is strongly monotone and Lipchitz continuous. For this strong convergence case, the proposed method does not require prior knowledge of the modulus of strong monotonicity and the Lipschitz constant of the cost function as input parameters, rather, the variable step-sizes are diminishing and non-summable. The asymptotic estimate of the convergence rate for the strong convergence case is also given. For completeness, we give another strong convergence result using the idea of Halpern's iteration when the cost function is monotone and Lipschitz continuous and the variable step-sizes are bounded by the inverse of the Lipschitz constant of the cost function. Finally, we give an example of a contact problem where our proposed method can be applied.  相似文献
