利用Cu:KNSBN晶体的慢响应光折变效应,研究了高速振幅调制的自泵浦互泵浦相位共轭共存特性,给出了相互作用光的调制频率和入射位置对其相位共轭反射率的影响实验结果表明,自泵浦与互泵浦相位共轭共存时,相位共轭光可以无失真的传输时域信息,因而可用于光通信及时域光信息处理.  相似文献

基于光折变晶体中自泵浦与互泵浦相位共轭共存效应,利用新型光折变自适应光外差探测系统进行了调Q脉冲激光的光折变自适应光外差探测技术研究.结果表明,该系统可以用来实现单纵模调Q脉冲激光的自适应光外差探测,并可以通过提高本振光强度有效地提高外差探测灵敏度.进一步的实验和理论分析表明,对于一般的调Q脉冲激光,由于其各个纵模频谱分量之间不相关,难于实现光外差探测.  相似文献

基于Cu∶KNSBN晶体的自泵浦相位共轭实验,研究了光折变晶体的几何结构对自泵浦相位共轭特性的影响,得到在入射角不变的情况下,随着入射位置的变化相位共轭光输出有最大值,几何结构不同最大值输出对应的位置不同.并从理论上分析了晶体结构在双作用区自泵浦相位共轭机制中的作用,指出几何结构、入射位置与自泵浦光通道、耦合系数的关系及在自泵浦相位共轭效应中存在一个最佳入射光工作位置.  相似文献

脉宽为50~60ps的超短激光脉冲列在Ce:KNSBN晶体中实现二波耦合和四波混频相位共轭。环境的微振动使二波耦合和四波混频相位共轭信号变得不稳定。当泵浦光脉冲从相对于探测光脉冲早到变为迟到时,二波耦合探测光信号从缩小变到放大。四波混频相位共轭信号出现双脉冲。晶体中存在纳秒光折变效应。  相似文献

研究了Ce:KNSBN光折变类光纤在泵浦光和信号光夹角分别为小角度和大角度两种情况下简并四波混频的基本特性.当夹角较大时,在光折变类光纤内部形成了两个四波混频作用区域,获得了比小角度情况提高4倍的大相位共轭反射率.给出了Ce:KNSBN光折变类光纤中,在入射夹角分别为小角度和大角度两种情况下,相位共轭光反射率分别随信号光光强、两束泵浦光光强比变化的实验结果,并用理论公式进行了拟合,理论分析和实验结果相符.还研究了Ce:KNSBN光折变类光纤四波混频光栅模式和相位共轭光时间响应特性.光折变类光纤的相位共轭响应时间较快,可为秒量级.  相似文献

首次报道用国产光折变晶体BaTiO_6制成的反射率大于30%的自泵浦相位共轭镜(SPPCM).并使用它成功地完成了畸变像复原实验.文中给出了自泵浦相位共轭信号的建立与入射光强度.入射光和晶体晶轴夹角的依赖关系及其擦洗速率的实验结果.文中还首次提出了一种使用单块BaTiO_3晶体,使多束入射光同时获得各自相位共轭波的方法.  相似文献

We present an efficient photorefractive volume hologram recording technique with a pulsed signal beam and continuous reference-beam illumination. The grating envelope can be simply controlled by manipulation of the duty cycle of the signal beam. Thus, for any grating coupling strength and different initial reference-signal intensity ratios, the diffraction efficiency can be maximized with this technique and can be greatly increased in comparison with that of the conventional recording technique.  相似文献

We give a theoretical analysis of a “stimulated photorefractive backscattering and four-wave mixing” (SPB-FWM) self-pumped phase conjugator (SPPC) in which the generation of the phase conjugate wave relies on both stimulated photorefractive backscattering (SPB) and four-wave mixing (FWM) processes. The two pumping beams in the FWM process are, respectively, the forward-propagating beam of which the generation is seeded by the fanning effect, and the backward-propagating beam that is generated by the SPB process. Assuming that the SPB interaction is seeded by the scattering centers in the crystal, we have calculated the threshold four-wave mixing coupling strength (γ1l1)th as a function of the SPB two-wave mixing coupling strength (γ2l2) corresponding to the 2k grating and of the reflectivity R′ of the scattering centers. Above threshold, we have also calculated the phase-conjugate reflectivity with a numerical method. Our calculations show that the threshold as well as the reflectivity of a SPB-FWM SPPC strongly depend on γ2l2 and R′. It is also shown that a high phase-conjugate reflectivity can be easily realised in doped barium titanate crystals which are shown to have much larger γ1 and γ2 than an undoped one.  相似文献

Photoconductive dependence of two-beam coupling between the pump beam and the signal beam in photorefractive materials have been analyzed in case of non-degenerate wave mixing under the undepleted pump approximation method. During the two-wave mixing in photorefractive materials, steady state amplification of the signal beam and oscillation characteristics of a single unidirectional ring resonator has been studied. The domination of the two-beam coupling gain over the combined absorption and resonator losses such as Fresnel reflections from the crystal and imperfect mirrors builds up unidirectional oscillation. The buildup of such an oscillation leads to a saturation of the gain, which can be explained in terms of the photorefractive phase-shift. The existence of this phase-shift between the photorefractive index grating and the illumination intensity pattern, which is of characteristic of the photorefractive effect, leads to an energy transfer between the two beams. For a single unidirectional ring resonators, the effects of photoconductivity of the materials, two-beam energy coupling coefficient, dielectric constant, crystal thickness, and material's absorption coefficient on amplification of the two-beam coupling gain and photorefractive phase-shifts of the signal beam have also been studied in detail. It has been found that amplification of the signal beam and phase-shift can be enhanced by taking the photorefractive crystal having higher photoconductivity and lower dielectric constant, which improves performance of the resonators.  相似文献

We compare and analyze the filter properties of transmission-type volume holographic gratings, especially the dispersion characteristics for uniform and chirped gratings. It is theoretically and experimentally shown that the dispersion characteristics can be controlled by introducing one-dimensional chirping to the volume grating in a photorefractive crystal. The filter response including output power and dispersion comes from a combined effect of the spatial spectra of the grating structure, input beam, and output-coupling fiber mode. Filter responses can be designed by controlling these parameters for optical communication applications.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of a holographic grating induced in a homeotropically aligned dye-doped liquid-crystal film is investigated. In the presence of an applied dc voltage, photoexcited azo dyes induce a photorefractive grating and then diffuse and are adsorbed onto cell substrates. The reorientation of liquid crystals as a result of adsorbed dyes leads to a phase grating that is phase shifted 90 degrees from the photorefractive grating. Competition of these two gratings induces two-beam coupling of the writing beams, initially transferring energy from beam 1 to beam 2 and then, after a pause, from beam 2 to beam 1.  相似文献
