The trend in analytical chemistry toward statistically designed experiments is reinforced by the trend toward using personal computers. The tedious calculations required to determine which factors significantly affect the performance or yield of an experiment are easily done with one of the 'electronic spreadsheet' programs now available on personal computers.     

L'extraction des lanthanides et des actinides par les oxydes d'alkylphosphine: Tome 1. l'extraction de l'acide nitrique par l'oxyde de tri-n-butylphosphine

The distribution of TBPO, water and nitric acid has been measured between an aqueous phase and various inert diluents at 25°. This study allowed the determination of the apparent stability constants for two molecular complexes, TBPO . HNO₃ (K₁=17.5±1.3 (M/l)^-2 (benzene); 20.1±0.8 (M/l)^-2 (toluene); II±2(M/l)^-2 (n-hexane) and TBPO . 2HNO₃.H₂O (K₂=(2.9±0.3) 10^-3(M/l)^-2 (benzene)).     

1H-NMR-spektroskopische konformationsanalyse von halogenierten thymidinabkömmlingen: I. konformation von thymidin, 3',5'-didesoxy-3'-chlor-5'-fluor-thymidin und 3', 5'-didesoxy-3',5'-difluor-thymidin

An improved method is given for determining the conformation of furanoid nucleosides by ¹H-NMR-spectra analysis using halogen-substituted thymidines as examples. The state of the three equilibria - ring-puckering, rotation about the C₄-C₅- bond and about the glycosidic bond - are influenced by the halogen substituents. Compared with thymidine the 3'-chlorine substituent shifts the furanose conformation to conformers, where the 3'-chlorine substituent is equatorial. The 5'-fluorine substituent increases the contribution of the G-G-rotamer and the ratio of syn-conformation. The relationships between the conformers in the pseudo-rotatory cycle and the population of the C_4'-C_5' rotamers are discussed.     

2'-deoxyribonucleoside 3'-aryl phosphoranilidates: Key intermediates in the stereospecific synthesis of 2'-deoxyribonucleoside cyclic 3',5'-phosphorothioates and dinucleoside(3'→5')-phosphoranilidates

Phosphorylation of the 5'-O-monomethoxytrityl-2'-deoxyribonucleosides by means of aryl phosphoranilidochloridates gives the diastereoisomers of 5'-O-monomethoxytrityl-2'-deoxyribonucleoside 3'-aryl phosphoranilidates. Their separation can be performed by means of chromatographic techniques. They can be further converted to the 2'-deoxyribonucleoside cyclic 3'-5' phosphoranilidates, which are intermediates in the stereospecific synthesis of 2'-deoxyribonucleoside cyclic (3'-5')phosphorothioates of known absolute configuration at phosphorus.     

Hydroboration d'amines insaturees: III - Reactions anormales d'hydroboration-alkylation d'amines propargyliques bromees

By hydroboration-alkylation of brominated propargylamines, we obtain brominated ethylenic amines and not the expected ethylenic amines with thexylalkylboranes. The thexyl group shows, in all cases, an anomalous high migratory aptitude.     

Alcaloïdes des Homalium: Structure de l'homaline,de l'hopromine,de l'hoprominol et de l'hopromalinol

L'étude chimique de quatre alcaloïdes: homaline, hopromine, hoprominol et hopromalinol, isolés de l'Homalium pronyense Guillaum., aétéeffectuée. La structure du principal d'entre eux, I'homaline, est démontrée commeétant celle du butylène 5-5′ di(méthyl-1 phényl-2 oxo-4 diaza-1,5 cyclooctane)-(2S,2′S). Ces quatre bases constituent un nouveau type d'alcaloïde. La présence dans leur molécule deséléments de la spermine permet de les rattacher au groupe des “Alcaloïdes macrocycliques dérivés de la spermine et de la spermidine?d.¹³     

L'extraction des lanthanides et des actinides par les oxydes d'alkylphosphine : L'extraction del'acide nitrique par quelques dioxydes de diphosphine

The distribution of nitric acid between an aqueous phase of constant or variable ionic strength and a benzene solution of diphosphine dioxide can be explained by the following reactions H⁺_a+ NO_3^-a+ DiPO₀ ? D1PO·HNO₃₀ H⁺_a+ NO_3^-a+ DiPO·HNO₃₀ ? DiPO·2 HNO₃₀ At constant ionic strength, the stability constants K₁″ were determined for the complexes 1,1-DiPO·HNO₃ (98 ± 01 (M)^-1), 1,4-DiPO·HNO₃(44±3 (M)_-1) and 1,5-DiPO·HNO₃ (51 ± 1 (M)^-1). The constants K₁₁″ for the complexes 1,1-DiPO·2 HNO₃ and 1,5-DiPO.2 HNO₃ are respectively 035±001 (M)^-1 and 62 ±0.05 (M)^-1 at 25°. With an aqueous phase of variable ionic strength, values of K₁'=54±7 (M)^-2 for 1,5-D1PO.HNO₃ and K_II'=65 ± 04 (M)^-2 for 1,5-DiPO·2 HN0₃ were obtained     

新型螺双二氢茚二酚衍生物的合成

螺双二氢茚二酚(SPINOL)与N-溴代丁二酰亚胺经溴代反应制得6,6'-二溴-螺双二氢茚二酚(1);1与叔丁基二甲基硅基三氟甲磺酸(TBSOTf)经醚化反应得6,6'-二溴-7-羟基-7'-叔丁基二甲硅氧基-1,1'-螺二氢茚(2);SPINOL经羟基保护后与碘甲烷经双甲基化反应制得6,6'-二甲基-7,7'-双(1-甲氧甲氧基)-1,1'-螺二氢茚(4);4经脱保护后再与TBSOTf经醚化反应合成了6,6'-二甲基-7-羟基-7'-叔丁基二甲硅氧基-1,1'-螺二氢茚(6)。2和6为新化合物,其结构经1H NMR,13C NMR和HR-ESI-MS表征。     

Microbiological transformations—XII: Microbiological reduction of racemic 1-(2',2',3'-trimethyl-cyclopent-3'-en-1'-yl)propan-2-one and 1-(2',2',3'-trimethyl-cyclopent-3'-en-1'-yl)butan-2-one by rhodotorula mucilaginosa

The microbiological reduction of (±)-l-(2',2',3'-trimethylcyclopent-3'-en-l'-yl)-propan-2-one (4) and (±)-1-(2',2',3'-trimethylcyclopent-3'-en-l'-yl)-butan-2-one (5) by Rhodotorula mucilaginosa was investigated. Both enantiomers of 4 are reduced stereospecifically to corresponding alcohols; (+)-(2S, l'R)-(2',2',3'-trimethylcyclopent-3'-en-l'-yl)-propan-2-ol (6) and (-)-(2S,l'S)-(2',2',3'-trimethylcyclopent-3'-en-l'-yl)-propan-2-ol (7). p ]The substrate selectivity in the reduction of 5 was observed: R enantiomer of 5 yields stereospecifically (+)-(2S,1'R)-(2',2',3'-trimethylcyclopent-3'-en-l'-yl)-butan-2-ol (8) while S(-)5 remains unchanged.

Kinetics of hydrocyanation of various enones are reported. The different behaviour of testosterone and 19-nor-testosterone towards hydrocyanation is explained by a slower partial rate factor on the α-face of testosterone.     

Stereochimie d'halogenation d'enols en serie exocyclique du cyclohexane

The steric course of the halogenation of exocyclic cyclohexyl enols E is not affected by the nature of halogenating species, medium, or substituent. In every case, equal amounts of axial and equatorial attack are formed. The results may be interpreted by a cyclic halogenation mechanism.     

Photochimie d'azido-steroides

Photolysis of azido-steroids leads to alkyl migration and 1–2 hydrogen transfer products. Pyrrolidine formation through an intermediate nitrene occurred in the case of 6β azido 5α-pregnane. Different excited states of azide and nitrene are considered.
