A complete characterization of sewage sludge collected from five biological waste water treatment plants was done to determine physico-chemical parameters, heavy metals and alkylphenols, making special emphasis on sampling, homogenization, and sample pre-treatment. Ultrasonic extraction followed by gas chromatrography coupled with mass spectrometry was used to evaluate the effect of sample pre-treatment (untreated sample, freeze-drying, drying at 40 °C or drying at 100 °C) on the concentration of octylphenol (OP), nonylphenol (NP) and nonylphenol ethoxylates (NP1EO, NP2EO). Untreated samples and samples dried at 100 oC gave concentration levels up to 62% and 89% lower, respectively, than freeze-dried samples. In 50% of cases, freeze-dried samples led to significantly higher concentrations than those obtained by drying at 40 °C. Thus, freeze-drying is the recommended sample pre-treatment to prevent possible losses of OP, NP, and NP1EO. Using this methodology, concentrations detected were from 3.2 to 199 mg kg−1 being NP followed by NP1EO found in highest concentration. The total concentration of NP and NP1EO exceeded the limit of 50 mg kg−1 proposed by the draft European directive on sewage sludge in three out of five samples studied. Contrarily, heavy metals were below the legislated values.  相似文献

A rapid easy-to-use trace level direct competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (dc-ELISA) detection of total residual malachite green (MG), crystal violet (CV) and their corresponding primary metabolites leucomalachite green (LMG) and leucocrystal violet (LCV) in fishery products in a single assay was developed. The monoclonal antibodies, anti-MG and anti-CV mAbs, were prepared using carboxyl-malachite green (CMG) and cationized bovine serum albumin (cBSA) conjugates as immunogen. The linear range for the quantitative detection of total MG, CV and their primary metabolites LMG and LCV was between 0.15 to 4.5?ng?mL?1 with a half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) at 0.56?±?0.04?ng?mL?1 (n?=?5). The anti-MG mAbs exhibited 98% cross-reactivity to CV, less than 0.1% cross-reactivity with LMG and LCV, and no cross-reactivity with chloramphenicol, enrofloxacin, sulfadiazine, and tetracycline. Application of the dc-ELISA in fish tissue samples gave a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.37?ng?g?1. The improved total detection lead to a recovery of 74.60?±?8.38% at 0.5?ng?g?1 and 87.47?±?12.83% at 2.0?ng?g?1 that was better than existing techniques. The dc-ELISA showed total MG in 7 out of 44 field fish samples that were confirmed with LC-MS/MS. The easy-to-use, inexpensive, and rapid dc-ELISA for the detection of total MG, CV and their corresponding primary metabolites holds promise for field applications.  相似文献

A single robust reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method was developed and validated as per International Conference on Harmonization guidelines for the accurate quantification of curcuminoids in commercial turmeric products, Ayurvedic medicines, and nanovesicular systems. The proposed chromatographic method was found to be specific, linear (r2?≥?0.999), precise at intra- and inter-day levels (percentage relative standard deviation <2.0%), accurate (percentage recovery 99.14–102.29%), and robust. The limits of detection and quantification were found to be 7.40 and 24.70?ng?mL?1 for curcumin, 9.24 and 30.80?ng?mL?1 for demethoxycurcumin, and 6.48 and 21.61?ng?mL?1 for bisdemethoxycurcumin, respectively. Among different commercial turmeric products and Ayurvedic medicines tested, the contents of curcumin (3.54?±?0.06–25.8?±?0.08?mg?g?1), demethoxycurcumin (1.28?±?0.02–9.97?±?0.03?mg?g?1), and bisdemethoxycurcumin (0.50?±?0.01–5.97?±?0.01?mg?g?1) varied significantly. The developed method was effectively applied to the determination of encapsulation efficiency of curcuminoids (ranged between 84.33?±?3.50 and 96.59?±?2.53%) in the nanovesicular systems. In conclusion, the reported method is suitable for the analysis of curcuminoids in a wide variety of turmeric products and used for the quality control of products that contain curcuminoids.  相似文献

A column, solid phase extraction (SPE), preconcentration method was developed for determination of silver by using alumina coated with 1-((5-nitrofuran-2-yl)methylene)thiosemicarbazide and determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The separation/preconcentration conditions for the quantitative recovery were investigated. At pH 2, the maximum sorption capacity of Ag+ was 7.5?mg?g?1. The linearity was maintained in the concentration range of 0.02–11.0?µg?mL?1 in the final solution or 0.14–1.10?×?104?ng?mL?1 in the original solution for silver. The preconcentration factor of 140 and relative standard deviation of ±1.4% was obtained, under optimum conditions. The limit of detection (LOD) was calculated as 0.112?ng?mL?1, based on 3σbl/m (n?=?8) in the original solutions. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination trace amounts of silver in the environmental samples such as tea, rice and wheat flour, mint, and real water samples.  相似文献

Abstract

A polyoxometalate (POM)-based composite material (NiPW12NP/NMC) was synthesized, in which the nanoparticle of a POM compound (NiPW12NP) distributes on orange juice derived nitrogen doped mesoporous carbon matrix (NMC) homogenously. When employed as a cathode material, NiPW12NP/NMC exhibits high specific capacitance, remarkable rate capability and long-term stability. When the current density is 4?A·g?1, a specific capacitance as high as 547 F·g?1 is achieved by NiPW12NP/NMC. With NiPW12NP/NMC serving as cathode and MnO2 acting as anode, a high performance asymmetric supercapacitor is assembled, which possesses a high energy density of 10.88?Wh·kg?1 at 0.64?kW·kg?1. It also shows a good rate capability, when the current density increases from 4 to 12?A·g?1, its specific capacitance decreases from 113 to 88 F·g?1, with 77.9% capacitance retention. After 5000 cycles charge-discharge experiments, 92.8% of its capacitance can be maintained, which exhibits good stability.  相似文献

It is known that the compound 2,4-dichloro-6-nitrophenol (2,4DC6NP) is formed upon nitration of 2,4-dichlorophenol, which in turn is a transformation intermediate of the herbicide dichlorprop. However, the chemical and spectroscopic characteristics of 2,4DC6NP, as well as its toxicity, are poorly known. This work shows that 2,4DC6NP behaves as a diprotic acid in aqueous solutions, with pKa values of 3.0?±?0.9 and 4.9?±?0.5. At pH?<?3, 2,4DC6NP would undergo protonation. The absorption spectra suggest that anionic 2,4DC6NP, which prevails at pH?>?5 would have an ortho-quinoid structure that is responsible for the absorption peak centred at 428?nm. Considering that 2,4DC6NP has been detected in the brackish lagoons of the Rhône delta (southern France), where its levels are comparable to those of the parent herbicide, it is necessary to examine the possible effects of 2,4DC6NP on the species living in that environment. For this reason, the acute toxicity of the anionic form of 2,4DC6NP was assessed for the brine shrimp Artemia salina, a zooplankton species that lives both in brackish and in saline aquatic environments. The toxicity test yielded a LC20 value of 8?±?2?mg?L?1 and a LC50 value of 18.7?±?0.8?mg?L?1. Such values are safely higher than the maximum detected concentration of 2,4DC6NP in the Rhône delta lagoons. Further studies should be concentrated on the long-term effects of 2,4DC6NP, and in particular on its potential genotoxicity.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of novel poly(CTFE‐g‐oligoEO) graft copolymers [chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE) and ethylene oxide (EO)] are presented. First, vinyl ether monomers bearing oligo(EO) were prepared by transetherification of ω‐hydroxyoligo(EO) with ethyl vinyl ether catalyzed by a palladium complex in 70–84% yields. Two vinyl ethers of different molecular weights (three and 10 EO units) were thus obtained. Then, radical copolymerization of the above vinyl ethers with CTFE led to alternating poly(CTFE‐alt‐VE) copolymers that bore oligo(OE) side chains in satisfactory yields (65%). These original poly(CTFE‐g‐oligoEO) graft copolymers were characterized by 1H, 19F, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Their molecular weights reached 19,000 g mol?1, and their thermal properties were investigated while their glass transition temperatures ranged between ?42 and ?36 °C. Their thermogravimetric analyses under air showed decomposition temperatures of 270 °C with 10% weight loss (Td,10%). These novel copolymers are of potential interest as polymer electrolytes in lithium ion batteries, showing room temperature conductivities ranging from 4.49 × 10?7 to 1.45 × 10?6 S cm?1 for unplasticized material. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The complex formation reactions of [Cu(NTP)(OH2)]4? (NTP?=?nitrilo-tris(methyl phosphonic acid)) with some selected bio-relevant ligands containing different functional groups, are investigated. Stoichiometry and stability constants for the complexes formed are reported. The results show that the ternary complexes are formed in a stepwise mechanism whereby NTP binds to copper(II), followed by coordination of amino acid, peptide or DNA. Copper(II) is found to form Cu(NTP)H n species with n?=?0, 1, 2 or 3. The concentration distribution of the various complex species has been evaluated. The kinetics of base hydrolysis of glycine methyl ester in the presence of copper(II)-NTP complex is studied in aqueous solution at different temperatures. It is proposed that the catalysis of GlyOMe ester occurs by attack of OH? ion on the uncoordinated carbonyl carbon atom of the ester group. Activation parameters for the base hydrolysis of the complex [Cu(NTP)NH2CH2CO2Me]4? are, ΔH±?=?9.5?±?0.3?kJ?mol?1 and ΔS±?=??179.3?±?0.9?J?K?1?mol?1. A dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (DLLME) method followed by high-performance liquid chromatography–triple quadrupole mass spectrometry has been developed for the simultaneous determination of linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS C10, C11, C12, and C13), nonylphenol (NP), nonylphenol mono- and diethoxylates (NP1EO and NP2EO), and di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP). The applicability of the method has been tested by the determination of the above mentioned organic pollutants in tap water and wastewater. Several parameters affecting DLLME, such as, the type and volume of the extraction and disperser solvents, sample pH, ionic strength and number of extractions, have been evaluated. Methanol (1.5 mL) was selected among the six disperser solvent tested. Dichlorobenzene (50 μL) was selected among the four extraction solvent tested. Enrichment factor achieved was 80. Linear ranges in samples were 0.01–3.42 μg L−1 for LAS C1013 and NP2EO, 0.09–5.17 μg L−1 for NP1EO, 0.17–9.19 μg L−1 for NP and 0.40–17.9 μg L−1 for DEHP. Coefficients of correlation were higher than 0.997. Limits of quantitation in tap water and wastewater were in the ranges 0.009–0.019 μg L−1 for LAS, 0.009–0.091 μg L−1 for NP, NP1EO and NP2EO and 0.201–0.224 μg L−1 for DEHP. Extraction recoveries were in the range from 57 to 80%, except for LAS C10 (30–36%). The method was successfully applied to the determination of these pollutants in tap water and effluent wastewater from Seville (South of Spain). The DLLME method developed is fast, easy to perform, requires low solvent volumes and allows the determination of the priority hazardous substances NP and DEHP (Directive 2008/105/EC).  相似文献

Three chromophores with tricyanofuran and tricyanopyrroline electron acceptors were synthesized and doped in high glass transition temperature (T g) polymer poly(N-(4-acetoxylphenyl)maleimide-co-styrene, NAPMI-co-ST). The electro-optic (EO), optical, and thermal properties of the doped poly(NAPMI-co-ST) were characterized and discussed. After being corona poled under 12?kV, this high T g polymer material showed excellent EO activity and thermal stability. The highest EO coefficient (r 33) reached 48.2?pm?V?1 (1,310?nm) and could remain 90?% of the original value for 100?h at 85?°C. The EO coefficient was relatively higher compared with other high T g EO polymers. The thermal stability was also very good and the manufacture process was convenient and applicable for device fabrication.  相似文献

The spatial and temporal behaviours of the organotin compounds (OTCs) (butyl- and phenyltin) were investigated in the Manko and Okukubi protected estuarine ecosystems on Okinawa Island, Japan from February to October 2006. Butyltin compounds (BTCs) were frequently detected in all seasons, while phenyltin (PhTs) were found in winter and early spring. In Manko estuary, the total mean concentrations of BTCs and PhTs were 22.78?±?30.85, (mean?±?SD, n?=?53) and 0.08?±?0.27?ng(Sn)?L?1, respectively. In Okukubi estuary, BTCs and PhTs were 12.58?±?23.96 and 0.47?±?1.67 (n?=?55) ng(Sn)?L?1, respectively. The Manko sediments can be classified as lightly contaminated, while the Okukubi sediments were uncontaminated with tributyltin (TBT). The mean levels of TBT shown in Manko estuary exceeded the threshold level and represent an ecotoxicological risk to sensitive aquatic life. Generally, the present study reports the occurrence and continuous input of OTCs in the protected estuaries, even 16 years after legal restriction of TBT usage in coastal waters was implemented by the Japanese Environmental Authorities.  相似文献

Thermal decomposition of neat TBP, acid-solvates (TBP·1.1HNO3, TBP·2.4HNO3) (prepared by equilibrating neat TBP with 8 and 15.6?M nitric acid) with and without the presence of additives such as uranyl nitrate, sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite, mixtures of neat TBP and nitric acid of different acidities, 1.1?M TBP solutions in diluents such as n-dodecane (n-DD), n-octane and isooctane has been studied using an adiabatic calorimeter. Enthalpy change and the activation energy for the decomposition reaction derived from the calorimetric data wherever possible are reported in this article. Neat TBP was found to be stable up to 255?°C, whereas the acid-solvates TBP·1.1HNO3 and TBP·2.4HNO3 decomposed at 120 and 111?°C, respectively, with a decomposition enthalpy of ?495.8?±?10.9 and ?1115.5?±?8.2?kJ?mol?1 of TBP. Activation energy and pre exponential factor derived from the calorimetric data for the decomposition of these acid-solvates were found be 108.8?±?3.7, 103.5?±?1.4?kJ?mol?1 of TBP and 6.1?×?1010 and 5.6?×?109?S?1, respectively. The thermochemical parameters such as, the onset temperature, enthalpy of decomposition, activation energy and the pre-exponential factor were found to strongly depend on acid-solvate stoichiometry. Heat capacity (C p ), of neat TBP and the acid-solvates (TBP·1.1HNO3 and TBP·2.4HNO3) were measured at constant pressure using heat flux type differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) in the temperature range 32?C67?°C. The values obtained at 32?°C for neat TBP, acid-solvates TBP·1.1HNO3 and TBP·2.4HNO3 are 1.8, 1.76 and 1.63?J?g?1?K?1, respectively. C p of neat TBP, 1.82?J?g?1?K?1, was also measured at 27?°C using ??hot disk?? method and was found to agree well with the values obtained by DSC method.  相似文献

Herein, we report the synthesis of fluorescent 1,4-dihydropyridine-linked bis-triazoles (2a2n) through Hantzsch synthesis by the condensation of o/m-chloro-substituted benzaldehyde, ethyl 3-oxo-4(prop-2-yn-1-yloxy)butanoate, and ammonium acetate in the presence of Ba(NO3)2 as a catalyst followed by the click reaction of resultant Hantzsch product (1) with various aromatic as well as aliphatic azides. All the synthesized compounds were well characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FTIR, and HRMS spectral techniques. Antibreast cancer evaluation of all the synthesized derivatives revealed that the compounds 2f (IC50?=?7?±?0.02?µM) and 2g (IC50?=?5?±?0.03?µM) showed better anticancer activity (lower IC50) than the standard drug tamoxifen (IC50?=?11.2?±?0.01?µM) against breast carcinoma (MDA-MB-231) cell line. The synthesized compounds were also screened against normal human embryonic kidney (HEK-293) cell line and found to be nontoxic. The fluorescent nature and cytotoxicity assay of these newly synthesized hybrids recommend their utility in tumor cell imaging.  相似文献

Rate constants for the gas-phase reactions of the Cl atom with a series of alkanes have been determined at 296 ± 2 K using a relative rate method. Using a rate constant for the Cl atom reaction with n-butane of 1.94 × 10?10 cm3 molecule?1 s?1, the rate constants obtained (in units of 10?11 cm3 molecule?1 s?1) were: 2-methylpentane, 25.0 ± 0.8; 3-methylpentane, 24.8 ± 0.6; cyclohexane, 30.8 ± 1.2; cyclohexane-d12, 25.6 ± 0.8; 2,4-dimethylpentane, 25.6 ± 1.2; 2,2,3-trimethylbutane, 17.9 ± 0.7; methylcyclohexane, 34.7 ± 1.2; n-octane, 40.5 ± 1.2; 2,2,4-trimethylpentane, 23.1 ± 0.8; 2,2,3,3-tetramethylbutane, 15.6 ± 0.9; n-nonane, 42.9 ± 1.2; n-decane, 48.7 ± 1.8; and cis-bicyclo[4.4.0]decane, 43.1 ± 0.8, where the indicated errors are two least-squares standard deviations and do not include the uncertainties in the n-butane rate constant. These data have been combined with rate constants obtained previously for ten C2? C7 alkanes and this entire data set has been used to develop an estimation method allowing the room temperature rate constants for the reactions of the Cl atom with alkanes to be calculated. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

[RuCl2(NCCH3)2(cod)], an alternative starting material to [RuCl2(cod)] n for the preparation of ruthenium(II) complexes, has been prepared from the polymer compound and isolated in yields up to 87% using a new work-up procedure. The compound has been obtained as a yellow solid without water of crystallization. The complexes [RuCl2(NCR)2(cod)] spontaneously transform into dimers [Ru2Cl(μ-Cl)3(cod)2(NCR)] (R?=?Me, Ph). 1H NMR kinetic experiments for these transformations evidenced first-order behavior. [RuCl2(NCPh)2(cod)] dimerizes slower by a factor of ten than [RuCl2(NCCH3)2(cod)]. The following activation parameters, ΔH #?=?114?±?3?kJ?mol?1 and ΔS #?=?66?±?9?J?K?1?mol?1 for R?=?CH3CN (ΔG #?=?94?±?5?kJ?mol?1, 298.15?K) and ΔH #?=?122?±?2?kJ?mol?1 and ΔS #?=?75?±?6?J?K?1?mol?1 for R?=?Ph (ΔG #?=?100?±?4?kJ?mol?1, 298.15?K), have been calculated from the first-order rate constants in the temperature range 294–323?K. The kinetic parameters are in agreement with a two-step mechanism with dissociation of acetonitrile as the rate-determining step. The molecular structures of [Ru2Cl(μ-Cl)3(cod)2(NCR)] (R?=?Me, Ph) have been determined by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

The NMR spectra of monochloro-, monobromo- and monofluoroacetone (CH3? CO? CH2X with X = Cl, Br, F) oriented in a nematic phase have been measured and the direct dipolar coupling constants determined. The barrier to internal rotation for the CH2F group has been studied for fluorine compound using various hypotheses. The best agreement with IR data has been obtained using the potential equation V(θ) = Σn Vn × (1 – cos nθ)/2 and a Boltzmann distribution of the CH2F group (V1 = 250 ± 50 cal.mol?1, V2 = 1650 ± 100 cal.mol?1, V3 = ?1000 ± 100 cal.mol?1).  相似文献

An efficient and reliable method based on gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) was developed for the extraction and analysis of six phenolic endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), such as 4-nonylphenol (4-NP), nonylphenol-mono-ethoxylate (NP1EO), nonylphenol-di-ethoxylate (NP2EO), 4-tert-octylphenol (4-t-OP), bisphenol A (BPA) and 4-cumylphenol (4-CP) in surface water and sediment. The method was developed by using microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), solid phase extraction (SPE) and derivatization procedure. The MAE procedures were performed by optimizing three key process factors, consisted of extraction solvent, extraction temperature and holding time, affecting the extraction efficiency from sediment samples. For SPE, various parameters that may affect the recovery efficiency of water samples, such as SPE phase cartridge, elution solvent, as well as pH of water samples, were investigated. A series of derivatization conditions, such as derivatization reagent, reaction temperature and reaction time, were improved. The method achieved good repeatability and reproducibility with relative standard deviations <13% for all target EDCs in the both samples. Satisfactory recoveries for spiked water and sediment samples ranged from 85 to 101% and 74 to 105%, respectively. The limits of quantification varied from 0.20 (4-t-OP) to 11.50 ng L?1 (NP2EO) and from 0.31 (4-t-OP) to 9.50 ng g?1 dry weight (dw) (NP2EO) for water samples and sediment samples, respectively. The established method was successfully applied to the analysis of target EDCs in surface water and sediment samples collected from Caohai site of Dianchi Lake, China. The results showed that NP1EO, NP2EO and BPA were the three dominant phenolic EDCs in the site, reaching 114, 97 and 149 ng L?1 in surface water, while 444, 186 and 178 ng g?1 dw in surface sediment, respectively.  相似文献

Activation cross-sections were measured for the 141Pr(n,??)142Pr reaction at three different neutron energies from 13.5 to 14.8?MeV. The fast neutrons were produced via the 3H(d,n)4He reaction on Pd-300 neutron generator. The natural high-purity Pr2O3 powder was used as target material. Induced gamma activities were measured by a high-resolution gamma-ray spectrometer with high-purity germanium detector. Measurements were corrected for gamma-ray attenuations, random coincidence (pile-up), dead time and fluctuation of neutron flux. The neutron fluences were determined by the cross section of 27Al(n,??)24Na reaction. The neutron energy in the measurement were by the cross section ratios of 90Zr(n,2n)89m+gZr and 93Nb(n,2n)92mNb reactions. The data for 141Pr(n,??)142Pr reaction cross sections are reported to be 3.3?±?0.2, 2.7?±?0.2 and 2.2?±?0.2 mb at 13.5?±?0.2, 14.1?±?0.2, and 14.8?±?0.2?MeV incident neutron energies, respectively. Results were discussed and compared with some corresponding values found in the literature.  相似文献

The kinetics of C6H5 reactions with n‐CnH2n+2 (n = 3, 4, 6, 8) have been studied by the pulsed laser photolysis/mass spectrometric method using C6H5COCH3 as the phenyl precursor at temperatures between 494 and 1051 K. The rate constants were determined by kinetic modeling of the absolute yields of C6H6 at each temperature. Another major product C6H5CH3 formed by the recombination of C6H5 and CH3 could also be quantitatively modeled using the known rate constant for the reaction. A weighted least‐squares analysis of the four sets of data gave k (C3H8) = (1.96 ± 0.15) × 1011 exp[?(1938 ± 56)/T], and k (n‐C4H10) = (2.65 ± 0.23) × 1011 exp[?(1950 ± 55)/T] k (n‐C6H14) = (4.56 ± 0.21) × 1011 exp[?(1735 ± 55)/T], and k (n?C8H18) = (4.31 ± 0.39) × 1011 exp[?(1415 ± 65)T] cm3 mol?1 s?1 for the temperature range studied. For the butane and hexane reactions, we have also applied the CRDS technique to extend our temperature range down to 297 K; the results obtained by the decay of C6H5 with CRDS agree fully with those determined by absolute product yield measurements with PLP/MS. Weighted least‐squares analyses of these two sets of data gave rise to k (n?C4H10) = (2.70 ± 0.15) × 1011 exp[?(1880 ± 127)/T] and k (n?C6H14) = (4.81 ± 0.30) × 1011 exp[?(1780 ± 133)/T] cm3 mol?1 s?1 for the temperature range 297‐‐1046 K. From the absolute rate constants for the two larger molecular reactions (C6H5 + n‐C6H14 and n‐C8H18), we derived the rate constant for H‐abstraction from a secondary C?
