The adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry technique (AdCSV) is used to determine copper(II) using salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (N, S- donor) as a complexing agent on hanging mercury drop electrode at pH 9.3. Variable factors affecting the response, i.e. the concentration of ligand, pH, adsorption potential and adsorption time are assessed and optimized. The adsorbed complex of copper(II) and salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone gives a well defined cathodic stripping peak current at −0.35 V, which has been used for the determination of copper in the concentration range of 7.85 × 10−9 to 8.00 × 10−6 M with accumulation time of 360 s at −0.1 V versus Ag/AgCl. This technique has been applied for the determination of copper in various digested samples of whole blood at trace levels.  相似文献

Three different electroanalytical techniques for the detection of manganese in marine sediments are evaluated. The anodic stripping voltammetry of manganese at an in situ bismuth-film-modified boron-doped diamond electrode and cathodic stripping voltammetry at a carbon paste electrode are shown to lack the required sensitivity and reproducibility whereas cathodic stripping voltammetry at a bare boron-doped diamond electrode is shown to be reliable and selective with a limit of detection, from applying a 60 s accumulation period of 7.4 × 10−7 M and a sensitivity of 0.24 A M−1. The method was used to evaluate the manganese content of marine sediments taken from Šibenik, Croatia.  相似文献

A sensitive method is described for the determination of trace bismuth based on the bismuth-bromopyrogallol red (BPR) adsorption at a carbon paste electrode (CPE). The overall analysis involved a three-step procedure: accumulation, reduction, and anodic stripping. Optimal conditions were found to be an electrode containing 25% paraffin oil and 75% high purity graphite powder, a 0.30 mol l−1 HCl solution containing 2.0×10−5 mol l−1 BPR as supporting medium; accumulation potential and time, −0.10 V, 3 min; reduction potential and time, −0.35 V, 60 s; scan rate 100 mV s−1; scan range from −0.35 to 0.15 V. It was found that the Bi(III)-BPR complex could be accumulated on the electrode surface during the accumulation period. Then the Bi(III) in the Bi(III)-BPR complex on the CPE surface was reduced to Bi(0) during reduction interval and finally reoxidized during the anodic stripping step for voltammetric quantification. Factors affecting the accumulation, reduction, and stripping steps were investigated. Interferences by other ions were studied as well. The detection limit was found to be 5×10−10 mol l−1 with a 3 min accumulation time. The linear range was from 1.0×10−9 to 5.0×10−7 mol l−1. Application of the procedure to the determination of bismuth in water and human hair samples gave good results.  相似文献

Celecoxib is a cyclooxygenase inhibitor, that has been recently and intensively prescribed as an anti-inflammatory drug in rheumatic osteoarthiritis. A robust, highly reliable and reproducible square-wave (SW) adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetric procedure was developed for the determination of celecoxib in pharmaceutical formulation and human serum. The analytical procedure was based on the reduction of the CN of the pyrazole ring of the drug molecule at the mercury electrode surface in Britton-Robinson buffer of pH 7.0. The SW adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammogram of celecoxib showed a single well-defined peak at −1.54 V (vs. Ag/AgCl/KCls) using an accumulation potential of −0.70 V, frequency of 120 Hz, scan increment of 10 mV and pulse amplitude of 25 mV. Repeatability was examined for 1×10−8 M CXB drug solution after 30 s pre-concentration and a mean recovery of 99.4±0.4% (n=5) was achieved. For 90 s preconcentration, a linear concentration range of 1×10−9-2×10−8 M CXB and a detection limit of 1.86×10−10 M were achieved. The proposed procedure was successfully applied for the determination of the drug in capsules and human serum with mean recoveries of 101.5±0.6 and 98.8±1.1%, respectively. A detection and quantitation limits of 1.0×10−9 M (0.4 ng ml−1) and 4.7×10−9 M (1.3 ng ml−1) were achieved for the determination of the drug in human serum. Moreover, the procedure was useful for study of the pharmacokinetic profile of celecoxib in a healthy volunteer after administration of a single oral dose (celebrex®, 200 mg).  相似文献

The voltammetric behaviour of Sildenafil citrate (SC) and its main metabolite UK-103,320 (UK) was studied by square wave techniques, leading to two methods for its total determination in biological samples (urine and human serum). The application of the square wave (SW), without the adsorptive accumulation, shows a maximum response at −0.950 V. The effect of experimental parameters that affect this determination are discussed. The stripping technique, proved to be more sensitive, yielding signals three times larger than those obtained by applying a square wave scan without the previous accumulation. Two calibration graphs to determine total SC and UK concentration were established. Calibration graph in urine sample was linear in the range 4.4×10−8 to 4.8×10−7 M by the stripping mode with an accumulation time of 10 s. In the same conditions but in serum sample regression line was linear in the range 3.4×10−8 to 9.7×10−7 M. The two proposed methods (SW and square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SWAdSV)) were applied to the total concentration analysis in eight different biological samples by the standard addition method with satisfactory results in the four different serum samples by the SW and in the four urines by SWAdSV.  相似文献

Uranium (VI) (U(VI)) forms a complex with dipicolinic acid (2, 6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid). This complex can be used for a highly sensitive and selective determination of uranium by adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (ACSV) using a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) as working electrode. Influence of effective parameters such as pH, concentration of ligand, accumulation potential and accumulation time on the sensitivity and selectivity were studied. The detection limit (3σ of the blank value) obtained under the optimal experimental conditions is 0.27 × 10−9 M after 150 s of the accumulation time. The peak current is proportional to the concentration of U(VI) in the range of 1 × 10−9 to 1.2 × 10−7 M. The relative standard deviation of 2.5% at the 3.5 × 10−8 M level was obtained. The interference of some metal ions and anions were studied. The application of this method was tested in the determination of uranium in synthetic and natural water samples.  相似文献

The determination of cadmium using a carbon paste electrode modified with organofunctionalized amorphous silica with 2-benzothiazolethiol was investigated. The Cd(II) oxidation peak was observed around −0.80 V (vs. SCE) in phosphate buffer (pH 4.0) in differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry. The best results were obtained under the following optimized conditions: 1 min accumulation time, 50 mV pulse amplitude, 20 mV s−1 scan rate in phosphate buffer pH 4.0. Using such parameters a linear dynamic range from 5.6×10−7 to 3.5×10−5 mol l−1 Cd(II) was observed with a sensitivity of 2.83 μA mol−1 l, limit of detection 1.0×10−7 mol l−1. Cd(II) spiked in a natural water sample was determined with 99% mean recovery at 10−7 mol l−1 level. Interference were also evaluated.  相似文献

Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP), a member of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) class, is one of the most potent PAH carcinogens. The electrochemical oxidation of BaP was first studied by cyclic voltammetry at the boron-doped diamond electrode in non-aqueous solvent (dimethylsulphoxide with lithium perchlorate). The compound was irreversibly oxidized in a single step at high positive potential, resulting in the well-resolved formation of a couple with a reduction and re-oxidation wave at much lower potentials. Special attention was given to the use of adsorptive stripping voltammetry together with a medium exchange procedure in aqueous and aqueous/surfactant solutions over the pH range of 2.0-8.0. The technique in aqueous solutions had little value in practice because of too small oxidation peak current. This problem was solved when surfactants were added into the sample solution, by which the oxidation peak currents of BaP were found enhanced dramatically. The employed surfactants were sodium dodecylsulfate (anionic, SDS), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (cationic, CTAB) and Tween 80 (non-ionic). Using square-wave stripping mode, the compound yielded a well-defined voltammetric response in Britton-Robinson buffer, pH 2.0 containing 2.5 × 10−4 M SDS at +1.07 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) (after 120 s accumulation at +0.10 V). The process could be used to determine BaP in the concentration range of 16-200 nM (4.04-50.46 ng mL−1), with a detection limit of 2.86 nM (0.72 ng mL−1). This method was also applied to determine BaP in model water sample prepared by adding its different concentrations into tap water.  相似文献

In this work, a simple and sensitive electroanalytical method was developed for the determination of enrofloxacin (ENRO) by adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (ADSV) using Cu(II) as a suitable probe. The complex of copper(II) with ENRO was accumulated at the surface of a hanging mercury drop electrode at −0.10 V for 40 s. Then, the preconcentrated complex was reduced and the peak current was measured using square wave voltammetry (SWV). The optimization of experimental variables was conducted by experimental design and support vector machine (SVM) modeling. The model was used to find optimized values for the factors such as pH, Cu(II) concentration and accumulation potential. Under the optimized conditions, the peak current at −0.30 V is proportional to the concentration of ENRO over the range of 10.0-80.0 nmol L−1 with a detection limit of 0.33 nmol L−1. The influence of potential interfering substances on the determination of ENRO was examined. The method was successfully applied to determination of ENRO in plasma and pharmaceutical samples.  相似文献

A simple and precise square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (SW-AdCSV) method has been described for simultaneous determination of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III) in water samples using a carbon paste electrode. In 0.1 mol L−1 acetate buffer (pH 5) containing 50 μmol L−1 of 2-(5′-bromo-2′-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP), Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III) were simultaneously determined as metal-complexes with 5-Br-PADAP following preconcentration onto the carbon paste electrode by adsorptive accumulation at +1.0 V (vs. Ag/AgCl/3 M KCl). Insignificant interference from various cations (K+, Na+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Al3+, Bi3+, Sb3+, Se4+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, V5+, Ti4+ and NH4+), anions (HCO3, Cl, NO3−, SO42− and PO43−) and ascorbic acid was noticed. Limits of detection of 0.066, 0.108 and 0.093 μg L−1 and limits of quantitation of 0.22, 0.36 and 0.31 μg L−1 Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III), respectively, were achieved by the described method. The described stripping voltammetry method was successfully applied for simultaneous determination of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III) in ground, tap and bottled natural water samples.  相似文献

A reliable and sensitive procedure for the simultaneous determination of trace levels of copper and molybdenum is proposed. The complexing of copper(II) and molybdenum(VI) with pyrogallol red (PGR) is analyzed by cathodic stripping differential pulse voltammetry based on the adsorption collection of the complexes onto a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). The effect of chemical and instrumental parameters on the sensitivity and selectivity were studied. Copper and molybdenum peaks potential were observed at about +0.13 and −0.22 V versus Ag/AgCl electrode, respectively. A standard addition method was utilized for the analysis of voltammogram data, under the optimum conditions and with accumulation time of 90 s. The measured peak current at about +0.14 and −0.22 V is proportional to the concentration of Cu(II) and Mo(VI) over the range of 2-70 and 0.8-80 ng ml−1, respectively. The limit of detection are 0.3 and 0.1 ng ml−1 for Cu(II) and Mo(VI), respectively. The capability of the method for the analysis of real samples was evaluated by determination of copper and molybdenum in river water, tap water and alloy. Atomic absorption spectrometry was applied as a reference method for determination of copper and molybdenum in water samples.  相似文献

Zinc speciation is considered to be an important determinant of the biological availability of zinc. Yet in oceanic surface waters, characterization of zinc speciation is difficult due to the low concentrations of this essential micronutrient. In this study, an anodic stripping voltammetry method previously developed for the total determination of cadmium and lead was successfully adapted to the measurement of zinc speciation. The method differs from previous zinc speciation anodic stripping voltammetry methods in that a fresh mercury film is plated with each sample aliquot. The fresh film anodic stripping voltammetry method was compared to competitive ligand exchange cathodic stripping voltammetry in a profile from the North Atlantic Ocean. Results using the fresh film anodic stripping voltammetry method were similar to those determined using the cathodic stripping voltammetry method, though ligand concentrations determined by fresh film anodic stripping voltammetry were generally slightly higher than those determined by cathodic stripping voltammetry. There did not seem to be a systematic difference between methods for the estimates of conditional stability constants. The ligand concentration in the North Atlantic profile ranged from 0.9 to 1.5 nmol L−1 as determined by fresh film anodic stripping voltammetry and 0.6 to 1.3 nmol L−1 as determined by cathodic stripping voltammetry. The conditional stability constants determined by fresh film anodic stripping voltammetry were 109.8-1010.5 and by cathodic stripping voltammetry were 109.8-1011.3.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of terazosin at the hanging mercury drop electrode was studied in Britton-Robinson buffer (pH 2-11), acetate buffer (4.5-5.5), and in 0.1 M solution of each of sodium sulfate, sodium nitrate, sodium perchlorate and potassium chloride as supporting electrolytes. The square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammogram of terazosin exhibited a single well-defined two-electron irreversible cathodic peak which may be attributed to the reduction of CO double bond of the drug molecule. A fully validated, simple, high sensitive, precise and inexpensive square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetric procedure was described for determination of terazosin in bulk form, tablets and human serum. A mean recovery for 1×10−8 M terazosin in bulk form, following preconcentration onto the hanging mercury drop electrode for 60 s at a −1.0 V (versus Ag/AgCl/KCls), of 99±0.7% (n=5) was obtained. Limits of detection (LOD) and quantitation (LOQ) of 1.5×10−11 and 5×10−11 M bulk terazosin were achieved, respectively. The proposed procedure was successfully applied to determination of the drug in its Itrin® tablets and human serum samples. The achieved LOD and LOQ of the drug in human serum samples were 5.3×10−11 and 1.8×10−10 M THD, respectively. The pharmacokinetic parameters of the drug in human plasma were estimated as: Cmax=77.5 ng ml−1, tmax=1.75 h, AUC0-t=602.3 ng h ml−1, Ke=0.088 h−1 and t1/2=11.32 h) which are favorably compared with those reported in literature.  相似文献

A novel composite film modified glassy carbon electrode has been fabricated and characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and voltammetry. The composite film comprises of single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT), gold nanoparticle (GNP) and ionic liquid (i.e. 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate), thus has the characteristics of them. The resulting electrode shows good stability, high accumulation efficiency and strong promotion to electron transfer. On it, chloramphenicol can produce a sensitive cathodic peak at −0.66 V (versus SCE) in pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solutions. Parameters influencing the voltammetric response of chloramphenicol are optimized, which include the composition of the film and the operation conditions. Under the optimized conditions, the peak current is linear to chloramphenicol concentration in the range of 1.0 × 10−8-6.0 × 10−6 M, and the detection limit is estimated to be 5.0 × 10−9 M after an accumulation for 150 s on open circuit. The electrode is applied to the determination of chloramphenicol in milk samples, and the recoveries for the standards added are 97.0% and 100.3%. In addition, the electrochemical reaction of chloramphenicol and the effect of single-wall carbon nanotube, gold nanoparticle and ionic liquid are discussed.  相似文献

Guanine is determined at the 5.0×10–10 –2.0×10–7 mol/l level by differential-pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry at a hanging mercury drop electrode using the reduction peak of its copper (II) complex at –0.21 V vs. Ag-AgCl electrode. The optimum analytical conditions were found to be Britton-Robinson buffer solution (pH 4.8), an accumulation potential of 0.0 V and an accumulation time of 3 min. Under these conditions, the detection limit is 5.0×10–10 mol/l and the relative standard deviation 2.6% for 1.0×10–7 mol/l guanine. The method is compared with the previous voltammetric methods. The presence of some purine derivatives does not interfere.  相似文献

Arsenic (III), respectively arsenic(V) after the reduction were determined in model solutions and some inorganic and organic materials by fast scan differential pulse cathodic stripping voltammetry and by direct current cathodic stripping voltammetry with a rapid increase of potential. The accumulation on a hanging mercury drop electrode followed by cathodic stripping was carried out in 0.7–0.8M HCl or 1–2M H2SO4 solutions containing Cu(II)-ions. Detection limits calculated from regression parameters was determined to be under 1 ng/ml for the samples containing very low arsenic concentrations. The relative standard deviation did not reach 8% for arsenic contents about of 5 ng/ml.  相似文献

A multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWNT) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was described for the simultaneous determination of trace levels of cadmium and lead by anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV). In pH 4.5 NaAc-HAc buffer containing 0.02 mol/l KI, Cd2+ and Pb2+ first adsorb onto the surface of a MWNT film coated GCE and then reduce at −1.20 V. During the positive potential sweep, reduced cadmium and lead were oxidized, and two well-defined stripping peaks appeared at −0.88 and −0.62 V. Compared with a bare GCE, a MWNT film coated GCE greatly improves the sensitivity of determining cadmium and lead. Low concentration of I significantly enhances the stripping peak currents since it induces Cd2+ and Pb2+ to adsorb at the electrode surface. The striping peak currents change linearly with the concentration of Cd2+ from 2.5×10−8 to 1×10−5 mol/l and with that of Pb2+ from 2×10−8 to 1×10−5 mol/l. The lowest detectable concentrations of Cd2+ and Pb2+ are estimated to be 6×10−9 and 4×10−9 mol/l, respectively. The high sensitivity, selectivity, and stability of this MWNT film coated electrode demonstrated its practical application for a simple, rapid and economical determination of trace levels of Cd2+ and Pb2+ in water samples.  相似文献

An adsorptive stripping voltammetric method for determination of phenol at an electrochemically pretreated carbon-paste electrode has been developed. Solid paraffin was used as the binder of the carbon-paste electrode. The carbon-paste electrode was pretreated in the solution of 0.001 mol L−1NaOH by holding it at +1.8 V (versus an Ag/AgCl electrode) for 5 min. On the pretreated electrode, the adsorption of phenol was greatly enhanced. Phenol was accumulated in NH3–NH4Cl (pH 9.25) medium at the potential of +0.1 V (versus Ag/AgCl electrode) for a certain time and then determined by second order differential anodic stripping voltammetry. An oxidative peak was observed at about +0.66 V. The relationship between second order peak current and phenol concentration was linear in the range of 2.5 × 10−7–5.0 × 10−6mol L−1phenol, and the detection limit was 5.0 × 10−8mol L−1. The method has been applied to the determination of phenol in tap water and waste water. The relative standard deviation (six determinations) was less than 3.5%.  相似文献

A sensitive, simple and reproducible square-wave cathodic adsorptive stripping voltammetric method is developed for the determination of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (MBIM) in different water samples using a static mercury drop electrode (SMDE) as a working electrode. The solution conditions and instrumental parameters were optimized for the determination of MBIM by square-wave cathodic adsorptive stripping voltammetry. This method is based on a sensitive adsorptive reduction peak of the MBIM at ?0.532 V vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode in a Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 10.0. The linear concentration range was 20–600 ng ml?1 when using 0.0 V as the accumulation potential. The detection limit of the method was calculated to be 8.41 ng ml?1. The precision was excellent with relative standard deviations (n = 20) of 2.30%, 1.71%, 2.25% and 1.33% at MBIM concentrations of 40, 90, 200 and 500 ng ml?1, respectively. The proposed voltammetric method is used for the determination of MBIM in different spiked water samples.  相似文献
