We report the synthesis of the novel half‐titanocene alkoxide complex bischloro‐η5‐cyclopentadienyl(bicyclo[2.2.1]‐hept‐5‐en‐2‐oxy) titanium (IV), [CpTiCl2(O‐NBE)]. This complex was employed for the synthesis of chiral poly(l ‐lactide‐b‐hexyl isocyanate) diblock copolymer bearing a norbornene end group with sequential addition of monomers. The poly(hexyl isocyanate) block is chiral due to the last l ‐lactide unit of the poly(l ‐lactide) block. This macromonomer was polymerized towards a chiral polymer brush structure with polynorbornene backbone and chiral poly(l ‐lactide‐b‐hexyl isocyanate) side chains using Grubbs first‐generation catalyst. The polymers were characterized using size exclusion chromatography (SEC), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy and their thermal properties were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. (±)‐exo,endo‐5,6‐Bis{[[11′‐[2″,5″‐bis[2‐(3′‐fluoro‐4′‐n‐alkoxyphenyl)ethynyl]phenyl]undecyl]oxy]carbonyl}bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐ene (n = 1–12) monomers were polymerized by ring‐opening metathesis polymerization in tetrahydrofuran at room temperature with Mo(CHCMe2Ph)(N‐2,6‐iPr2Ph)(OtBu)2 as the initiator to produce polymers with number‐average degrees of polymerization of 8–37 and relatively narrow polydispersities (polydispersity index = 1.08–1.31). The thermotropic behavior of these materials was independent of the molecular weight and therefore representative of that of a polymer at approximately 15 repeat units. The polymers exhibited an enantiotropic nematic mesophase when n was 2 or greater. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 44: 4076–4087, 2006  相似文献

Pure exo‐functional norbornene monomers containing various chromophores such as fluorene, pyrene, and carbazole were successfully prepared via the Diels–Alder reaction and condensation reaction. The living ring‐opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of a fluorene‐containing monomer, exo‐2‐(fluorene‐9‐ylcarboxymethyl)norborn‐5‐ene (exo‐1), was observed and confirmed by the formation of a diblock copolymer and a linear relationship between the number‐average molecular weight and [M]/[I] ratios ([M] = monomer concentration; [I] = initiator concentration). The synthesis and characteristics of novel fluorene‐containing polymers based on pure exo‐1 are reported with Grubbs catalyst I {RuCl2(CHPh)[P(C6H11)3]2} with a high molecular weight of 3.18 × 104 in 90 s ([M]/[I] = 100). However, the ROMP of pyrene‐ and carbazole‐containing monomers [exo‐5‐(pyrene methoxy carbonyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐ene and exo‐5‐(carbazole ethoxy carbonyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐ene, respectively] were carried out in a nonliving fashion. All the chromophore‐containing polymers showed excellent solubility in various organic solvents, particularly in chloroform, N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone, and 1,2‐dichlorobenzene. The glass transition temperatures of polynorbornenes containing various chromophores were determined to be 80–109 °C (by differential scanning calorimetry) higher than that of ring‐opened polynorbornene (glass transition temperature = 35 °C), indicating that the incorporation of the pendant aromatic moieties (e.g., fluorene, pyrene, and carbazole) could enhance the transition temperature for segmental motions of polymer chains. The photoluminescence spectra of all polymer solutions showed a strong emission in the blue region of the visible spectra. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Cycloaliphatic polyolefins with functional groups were prepared by the Pd(II)-catalyzed addition polymerization of norbornene derivatives. Homo- and copolymers containing repeating units based on bicyclo[2.2.1] hept-5-en-2-ylmethyl decanoate (endo/exo-ratio = 80/20), bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (exo/endo = 80/20), bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2-methanol (endo/exo = 80/20), and bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2-carboxylic acid (100% endo) were prepared in 49–99% yields with {(η3-allyl)Pd(BF4)} and {(η3-allyl)Pd(SbF6)} as catalysts. The catalyst containing the hexafluoroantimonate ion was slightly more active than the tetrafluoroborate based Pd-complex.  相似文献

This work deals with the cationic ring‐opening polymerization of cyclic thiocarbonates with a norbornene or norbornane moiety, that is, 5,5‐(bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐ene‐5,5‐ylidene)‐1,3‐dioxane‐2‐thione ( TC1 ) or 5,5‐(bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane‐5,5‐ylidene)‐1,3‐dioxane‐2‐thione ( TC2 ), respectively. The reaction of TC1 initiated by trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH), methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (TfOMe), boron trifluoride etherate (BF3OEt2), or triethyloxonium tetrafluoroborate (Et3OBF4) afforded unidentified products; however, TC1 underwent cationic ring‐opening polymerization with methyl iodide as an initiator to afford polythiocarbonate because the propagating end was stabilized by the covalent‐bonding property. The polymerization of TC2 initiated by TfOH, TfOMe, BF3OEt2, or Et3OBF4 afforded polythiocarbonate with good solubility in common organic solvents and a narrow molecular weight distribution because of the absence of a double‐bond moiety. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Anhydrides, imides, N‐ethylimides, N‐hydroxyimides and N‐aminoimides of 1,4,5,6‐tetramethyl‐bicyclo[5.2.1.02,6]hept‐5‐ene‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid, 1,4,5,6,7‐pentamethyl‐bicyclo[5.2.1.02,6]hept‐5‐ene‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid and 7‐ethyl‐1,4,5,6‐tetramethyl‐bicyclo[5.2.1.02,6]hept‐5‐ene‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid were obtained. Antimicrobial activity of the newly obtained derivatives was tested against selected Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria and fungi of the Candida species. The structures of obtained compounds and their antimicrobial activity were compared. Structure of 1b, 2b and 1e were determined by an X‐ray analysis.  相似文献

Monolithic polymeric supports have been prepared by electron‐beam‐triggered free‐radical polymerization using a mixture of glycidyl methacrylate and trimethylolpropane triacrylate in 2‐propanol, 1‐dodecanol, and toluene. Under appropriate conditions, phase separation occurred, which resulted in the formation of a porous monolithic matrix that was characterized by large (convective) pores in the 30 μm range as well as pores of <600 nm. The epoxy groups in pores of >7 nm were hydrolyzed by using poly(styrenesulfonic acid) (Mw=69 400 g mol?1, PDI=2.4). The remaining epoxy groups inside pores of <7 nm were subjected to aminolysis with norborn‐5‐en‐2‐ylmethylamine ( 2 ) and provided covalently bound norborn‐2‐ene (NBE) groups inside these pores. These NBE groups were then treated with the first‐generation Grubbs initiator [RuCl2(PCy3)2(CHPh)]. These immobilized Ru–alkylidenes were further used for the surface modification of the small pores by a grafting approach. A series of monomers, that is, 7‐oxanorborn‐5‐ene‐2,3‐dicarboxylic anhydride ( 3 ), norborn‐5‐ene‐2,3‐dicarboxylic anhydride ( 4 ), N,N‐di‐2‐pyridyl‐7‐oxanorborn‐5‐ene‐2‐carboxylic amide ( 5 ), N,N‐di‐2‐pyridylnorborn‐5‐ene‐2‐carboxamide ( 6 ), N‐[2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl]bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐ene‐2‐carboxamide ( 7 ), and dimethyl bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐en‐2‐ylphosphonate ( 8 ), were used for this purpose. Finally, monoliths functionalized with poly‐ 5 graft polymers were used to permanently immobilize Pd2+ and Pt4+, respectively, inside the pores. After reduction, metal nanoparticles 2 nm in diameter were formed. The palladium‐nanoparticle‐loaded monoliths were used in both Heck‐ and Suzuki‐type coupling reactions achieving turnover numbers of up to 167 000 and 63 000, respectively.  相似文献

A short and concise synthesis of novel, chiral bicyclo[3.1.0]hex‐2‐ene amino acid derivatives 13 and 14 has been developed. The key step is a stereo‐ and regioselective allylic amination of exo‐ and endo‐methyl bicyclo[3.1.0]hex‐2‐ene‐6‐carboxylates 8 and 9 , which were prepared from 7,7‐dichlorobicyclo[3.2.0]hept‐2‐en‐6‐one ( 1 ). These amino acid derivatives are useful building blocks in medicinal chemistry and can be prepared as chiral compounds by using either (+)‐ 1 or (?)‐ 1 as starting material.  相似文献

Novel L ‐alanine and L ‐glutamic acid derivatized, carbazole‐containing N‐propargylamides [N‐(9‐carbazolyl)ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐alanine N′‐propargylamide and N‐(9‐carbazolyl)ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐glutamic acid‐γ‐benzyl ester N′‐propargylamide] were synthesized and polymerized with (nbd)Rh+6‐C6H5B?(C6H5)3] (nbd = norbornadiene) as a catalyst to obtain the corresponding polymers with moderate molecular weights in high yields. Polarimetry, circular dichroism, and ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy studies revealed that both poly[N‐(9‐carbazolyl)ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐alanine N′‐propargylamide] and poly[N‐(9‐carbazolyl)ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐glutamic acid‐γ‐benzyl ester N′‐propargylamide] took a helical structure with a predominantly one‐handed screw sense in tetrahydrofuran, CHCl3, and CH2Cl2. The helix content of poly[N‐(9‐carbazolyl)ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐alanine N′‐propargylamide] could be tuned by heat or the addition of a protic solvent, and the helical sense of poly[N‐(9‐carbazolyl) ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐glutamic acid‐γ‐benzyl ester N′‐propargylamide] was inverted by heat in CHCl3 or in mixtures of tetrahydrofuran and CH2Cl2. Poly[N‐(9‐carbazolyl) ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐alanine N′‐propargylamide] and poly[N‐(9‐carbazolyl)ethyloxycarbonyl‐L ‐glutamic acid‐γ‐benzyl ester N′‐propargylamide] also took a helical structure in film states. They showed small fluorescence in comparison with the monomers and redox activity based on carbazole. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 45: 253–261, 2007  相似文献

A number of stereoisomeric N‐[aryl(alkyl, cycloalkyl)carbonyl]‐exo(endo)‐5‐aminomethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐enes have been synthesized from bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐en‐exo(endo)‐5‐carbonitrile via reduction of the latter by lithium aluminum hydride and subsequent reactions of the resulting amines with aryl(alkyl, cycloalkyl)carbonyl chlorides and anhydrides. The direction of reaction of amides with peroxy acids does not depend on orientation of substituents in the bicyclic fragment: that is, for both exo‐ and endo‐isomers the epoxidations are completed by the formation of N‐[aryl(alkyl, cycloalkyl)carbonyl]‐exo(endo)‐5‐aminomethyl‐exo‐2,3‐epoxybicyclo[2.2.1] heptanes. The reduction of stereoisomeric epoxides by lithium aluminium hydride proceeds in different directions; that is, isomers with an exo‐oriented amido group form the substituted exo‐5‐alkylaminomethyl‐exo‐2,3‐epoxybicyclo[2.2.1]heptanes and the reactions of epoxides of endo‐amides are accompanied by intramolecular cyclization and completed by the formation of N‐[aryl(alkyl, cycloalkyl)]‐exo‐2‐hydroxy‐4‐azatricyclo[4.2.1.03,7]nonanes. The structures and stereochemical homogenity of the products have been confirmed by the analysis of 1H and 13C NMR spectra, correlation spectroscopy, and nuclear Overhauser enhancement spectroscopy experiments. We discuss the behavior of epoxides and provide an analysis of the coefficients of the atomic orbitals in the molecular orbital–linear combination of atomic orbitals equation (AM1 method). © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Shell‐functionalized polymeric nanoparticle was prepared through the method of polymerization‐induced self‐assembly of block copolymers [poly(2,3‐bis(2‐bromoisobutyryloxymethyl)‐5‐norbornene)‐block‐poly(7‐oxanorborn‐5‐ene‐exo‐exo‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester), PBNBE‐b‐PONBDM] via one‐pot ring‐opening metathesis polymerization of 2,3‐bis(2‐bromoisobutyryloxymethyl)‐5‐norbornene (BNBE) and 7‐oxanorborn‐5‐ene‐exo‐exo‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester (ONBDM) in a selective solvent. The compositions and the molecular weights of the copolymers were estimated by 1H‐NMR and gel permeation chromatography. The micelles were characterized by dynamic light scattering, transmission electron micrograph, and atomic force microscopy. The results indicated that the spherical micelles constructed with bromine‐bearing PBNBE shell and PONBDM core were stable and reproducible in toluene. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Enzymatic resolution of racemic 1,4,5,6‐tetrachloro‐2‐(hydroxymethyl)‐7,7‐dimethoxybicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐ene (rac‐ 1 ) using various lipases in vinyl acetate as acetyl source was studied. The obtained enantiomerically enriched (+)‐(1,4,5,6‐tetrachloro‐7,7‐dimethoxybicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐en‐2‐yl)methyl acetate ((+)‐ 2 ; 94% ee), upon treatment with Na in liquid NH3, followed by Amberlyst‐15 resin in acetone, provided (−)‐5‐(hydroxymethyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐en‐7‐one ((−)‐ 7 ), which is a valuable precursor for the synthesis of carbasugar derivatives. Subsequent Baeyer–Villiger oxidation afforded a nonseparable mixture of bicyclic lactones, which was subjected to LiAlH4 reduction and then acetylation. The resultant compounds (−)‐ 11 and (+)‐ 12 were submitted to a cis‐hydroxylation reaction, followed by acetylation, to afford the novel carbasugar derivatives (1S,2R,3S,4S,5S)‐4,5‐bis(acetoxymethyl)cyclohexane‐1,2,3‐triyl triacetate ((−)‐( 13 )) and (1R,3R,4R,6R)‐4,6‐bis(acetoxymethyl)cyclohexane‐1,2,3‐triyl triacetate ((−)‐( 14 )), respectively, with pseudo‐C2‐symmetric configuration. The absolute configuration of enantiomerically enriched unreacted alcohol (−)‐ 1 (68% ee) was determined by X‐ray single‐crystal analysis by anchoring optically pure (R)‐1‐phenylethanamine. Based on the configurational correlation between (−)‐ 1 and (+)‐ 2 , the absolute configuration of (+)‐ 2 was determined as (1R,2R,4S).  相似文献

Reactions of p-nitrophenyloxirane with amines containing fragments with bicyclic skeleton of norbornene, norbornane, epoxynorbornane (stereoisomeric exo- and endo-5-aminomethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-enes, N-benzyl-endo-5-aminomethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene, endo-5-(2-aminoethyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene, stereoisomeric exo- and endo-2-aminomethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptanes, 2-(1-aminoethyl)bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane, exo-5-aminomethyl-exo-2,3-epoxybicyclo[2.2.1]heptane) were investigated. The aminolysis of p-nitrophenyloxirane occurred regioselectively according to Krasusky rule as was proved by 1H and 13C NMR data. As shown by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy the oxyalkylation product obtained from N-benzyl-endo-5-aminomethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene was composed of two diastereomers originating from the presence of a chiral nitrogen atom in the rear part of the rigid bicyclic skeleton. New products of amino groups transformation in the molecules of hydroxyamines were obtained by reaction with p-methylbenzoyl chloride and p-nitrophenylsulfonyl chloride. Regioselectivity of the attack of electrophilic reagents on the nitrogen in the hydroxyamines was confirmed by IR and 1H NMR spectra of the products. The data on pharmacological activity tests of N-2-hydroxyethyl(p-nitrophenyl)-5-aminomethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene are reported.  相似文献

The vinylic polymerization of norbornene and its copolymerization with norbornene carboxylic acid methyl esters were investigated. Norbornene was polymerized by us using di-μ-chloro-bis-(6-methoxybicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene-endo-5σ,2π)-palladium(II) as catalyst. The polymerization time can be decreased by a factor of 100000 by activation of the catalyst with methylaluminoxane (MAO). With this palladium catalyst activated by MAO, 140 t of norbornene can be polymerized per mol palladium per h. This catalyst system was much more active than [Pd(CH3CN)4](BF4)2 ( I ). The polymerization of norbornene by (6-methoxybicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene-endo-5σ,2π)-palladium(II) tetrafluoroborate was also possible but it was not as fast as the polymerization by Pd catalysts activated with MAO. We were also able to obtain copolymers of norbornene and 5-norbornene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (exo/endo = 1/4 or 2/3) containing between 15 and 20 mol-% ester units. The copolymerization of norbornene and 2-methyl-5-norbornene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (exo/endo = 7/3) was faster than the copolymerization mentioned before. In contrast the homopolymerization of 2-methyl-5-norbornene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester was 10 times slower than that of 5-norbornene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (exo/endo = 1/4).  相似文献

Abstract

Starting from racemic 7,7‐dimethoxy‐1,4,5,6‐tetrachlorobicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐en‐2‐endo‐ol (±)‐7, using lipase‐catalyzed transesterification and a series of standard procedures, we prepared the enantiomers (+)‐(2R, 7S) and (?)‐(2S, 7R) bicyclo[2.2.1] heptan‐2,7‐syn‐diol 3 through a new alternative route with excellent yields and enantiomeric excess (up to 99%). These chiral bidentate compounds possess very rigid molecular structures and a favorable stereochemistry for metal coordination, thus becoming promising chiral ligands for asymmetric synthesis.  相似文献

Radical copolymerizations of electron‐deficient 2‐trifluoromethylacrylic (TFMA) monomers, such as 2‐trifluoromethylacrylic acid and t‐butyl 2‐trifluoromethylacrylate (TBTFMA), with electron‐rich norbornene derivatives and vinyl ethers with 2,2′‐azobisisobutyronitrile as the initiator were investigated in detail through the analysis of the kinetics in situ with 1H NMR and through the determination of the monomer reactivity ratios. The norbornene derivatives used in this study included bicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐2‐ene (norbornene) and 5‐(2‐trifluoromethyl‐1,1,1‐trifluoro‐2‐hydroxylpropyl)‐2‐norbornene. The vinyl ether monomers were ethyl vinyl ether, t‐butyl vinyl ether, and 3,4‐dihydro‐2‐H‐pyran. Vinylene carbonate was found to copolymerize with TBTFMA. Although none of the monomers underwent radical homopolymerization under normal conditions, they copolymerized readily, producing a copolymer containing 60–70 mol % TFMA. The copolymerization of the TFMA monomer with norbornenes and vinyl ethers deviated from the terminal model and could be described by the penultimate model. The copolymers of TFMA reported in this article were evaluated as chemical amplification resist polymers for the emerging field of 157‐nm lithography. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An α‐diimine Pd(II) complex containing chiral sec‐phenethyl groups, {bis[N,N′‐(4‐methyl‐2‐sec‐phenethylphenyl)imino]‐2,3‐butadiene}dichloropalladium (rac‐ C1 ), was synthesized and characterized. rac‐ C1 was applied as an efficient catalyst for the Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction between various aniline halides and arylboronic acid in PEG‐400–H2O at room temperature. Among a series of aniline halides, rac‐ C1 did not catalyze the cross‐coupling of aniline chlorides and fluorides but efficiently catalyzed the cross‐coupling of aniline bromides and iodides with phenylboronic acid. The catalytic activity reduced slightly with increasing steric hindrance of the aniline bromides. The complexes {bis[N,N′‐(4‐fluoro‐2,6‐diphenylphenyl)imino]‐2,3‐butadiene}dichloropalladium and {bis[N,N′‐(4‐fluoro‐2,6‐diphenylphenyl)imino]acenaphthene}dichloropalladium were also found to be efficient catalysts for the reaction. A novel organosoluble polynorbornene bearing a polar, pendant, ester‐bridged epoxy group [poly(oxiran‐2‐ylmethyl 2‐methylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐ene‐2‐carboxylate) (polyOMMC)] was prepared via the living ring‐opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of active norbornenes with a Ru catalyst. PolyOMMC exhibited excellent solubility in a variety of solvents. The number‐average molecular weight of polyOMMC linearly increased with the [M]/[I] ratio (where [M] is the monomer concentration and [I] is the initiator concentration), and a narrow polydispersity of 1.09–1.19 was observed; this was considered a living polymerization. When ROMP of oxiran‐2‐ylmethyl 2‐methylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐ene‐2‐carboxylate with [M]/[I] = 350 was carried out at 30 °C in CH2Cl2, the number‐average molecular weight (7.01 × 104; polydispersity index = 1.07) was close to the calculated molecular weight (7.28 × 104), and a diblock copolymer was observed after the addition of another monomer ([M]/[I] = 350) with an increase in the number‐average molecular weight (1.60 × 105; polydispersity index = 1.11), which was close to the calculated molecular weight (1.61 × 105). The modified polynorbornenes retained good solubility in methylene chloride, tetrahydrofuran, dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylformamide, N,N‐dimethylacetamide, and N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrdione. High‐performance polynorbornenes with active epoxy groups could be designed with great potential for applications in photoresists, UV curing, and elastomers. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
