The viscosities of the mixtures 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([HMIM][PF6]) + CO2 and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([OMIM][PF6]) + CO2 were measured with a rolling ball viscometer. The CO2 mole fraction for one mixture ranged up to 0.434 and the other up to 0.447. The viscosities were measured at 293.15-353.15 K and 10-20.0 MPa. The experimental uncertainty in viscosity was estimated to be within ±3.0%. The experimental data were compared with McAllister's three-body model, which correlated with the experimental data within average absolute deviations of 5.9%.  相似文献

Liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE) data for the quaternary systems of [water + acetic acid + mixed solvent (dipropyl ether + diisopropyl ether)] were measured at 298.2 K and atmospheric pressure, using various compositions of mixed solvent. Binodal curves and tie-lines for the quaternary systems have been determined in order to investigate the effect of solvent mixture, dipropyl ether (DPE) and diisopropyl ether (IPE), on extracting acetic acid from aqueous solution. A comparison of the extracting capabilities of the mixed solvents was made with respect to distribution coefficients, separation factors, and solvent free selectivity bases. Reliability of the data was confirmed by using the Othmer–Tobias and Hand plots. The tie-lines were also correlated using the UNIFAC model. The average root-mean-square deviations between the observed and calculated mass fractions for the studied systems were in the range of 10–14%.  相似文献

An apparatus based on the static-analytic method was used to measure the vapor–liquid equilibria (VLE) for CO2 + alkanol systems. Equilibrium measurements for the CO2 + 1-propanol system were performed from 344 to 426 K. For the case of the CO2 + 2-propanol system, measurements were made from 334 to 443 K, and for the CO2 + 1-butanol were obtained from 354 to 430 K. VLE data were correlated with the Peng–Robinson equation of state using the classical and the Wong–Sandler mixing rules. Moreover, compressed liquid densities for the n-dodecane and n-tridecane were obtained via a vibrating tube densitometer at temperatures from 313 to 363 K and pressures up to 25 MPa. The Starling and Han (BWRS), and The five-parameter Modified Toscani-Swarcz (MTS) equations were used to correlate them. The experimental density data were compared with those from literature, and with the calculated values obtained from available equations for these n-alkanes.  相似文献

(Liquid + liquid) equilibrium (LLE) data for the {water + acetic acid + dibasic esters mixture (dimethyl adipate + dimethyl glutarate + dimethyl succinate)} system have been determined experimentally at T = (298.2, 308.2, and 318.2) K. Complete phase diagrams were obtained by determining solubility curve and tie-line data. The reliability of the experimental tie-line data was confirmed by using the Othmer-Tobias correlation. The UNIFAC model was used to predict the phase equilibrium in the system using the interaction parameters determined from experimental data between CH2, CH3COO, CH3, COOH, and H2O functional groups. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were compared with previous studies.  相似文献

Vapour-liquid equilibrium of CO2 + [0.00871 glycerol + 0.99129 (ethanol or 1-propanol or 1-butanol)] mixtures was measured at the temperatures of 313.15 K and 333.15 K, and close to the critical line, at pressures up to 12 MPa. On the liquid side, the bubble points measured for these ternary mixtures follow closely the behaviour of VLE reported by several authors for the corresponding binary mixtures without glycerol. On the vapour side, however, dew points for the ternary mixtures deviate significantly from VLE results for the binaries. A correlation of the results obtained for the CO2 + glycerol + ethanol mixture with the Peng-Robinson equation of state, admitting quasi-binary behaviour, equally yields good agreement on the liquid side, and significant deviations on the vapour side.  相似文献

In this paper, ascorbic acid as a new carbon dioxide (CO2) absorbent was investigated. The equilibrium solubility of CO2 into 0.5, 1 and 1.5 mol dm−3 (M) aqueous ascorbic acid solutions were measured experimentally with a stirred batch reactor at total atmospheric pressure over the CO2 partial pressure ranging from 0 to 45 kPa and temperatures between 298 and 313 K. The results of the gas solubility are presented as loading capacity (mol CO2/mol ascorbic acid) as function of partial pressure of CO2 for all experimental runs. Experimental results showed that solubility of CO2 increases with increase in molar concentration of ascorbic acid solution at a given temperature and decreases with increase in temperature at a given concentration. The densities and viscosities of the ascorbic acid solutions were measured at the same conditions of the solubility measurement. Some corrosion rate tests were also performed on carbon steel at temperature of 308 K. It was observed that viscosity and corrosion rate increase when the molar concentration of ascorbic acid solution increases.  相似文献

Liquid–vapor (LV) and liquid–liquid (LL) phase equilibria in the carbon dioxide + pyrrole system were measured at temperatures between 313 K and 333 K, and pressures between 8.4 MPa and 15.1 MPa. The data were used to predict the overall phase behavior of the system using the Patel–Teja equation of state and the Mathias–Klotz–Prausnitz mixing rules with two temperature-independent parameters. The calculations suggest that the carbon dioxide + pyrrole system may exhibit type IV phase behavior according to the classification of Scott and van Konynenburg.  相似文献

This work paper presents vapour–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data for binary (CO2 + nicotine) and ternary (CO2 + nicotine + solanesol) mixtures, at 313.2 K and 6, 8 and 15 MPa. The (CO2 + nicotine) system exhibits three phases (L1L2V) in equilibrium at 8.37 MPa. It is estimated that this system most likely follows the type-III phase behaviour. In the ternary system, the presence of solanesol in the vapour phase was detected only at the pressure of 15 MPa. At this pressure, partition coefficients and separation factors for solanesol/nicotine were calculated for different initial nicotine/solanesol compositions and a strong influence of composition was found. The results were modelled using the Peng–Robinson equation of state (PR EOS) coupled with the Mathias–Klotz–Prausnitz (MKP) mixing rule (PR–MKP model). Good correlations of the binary data, particularly in the case of the (CO2 + nicotine) mixture, were obtained. However, the model could not correlate the ternary data.  相似文献

The bubble-points pressures of solute(s) + ethanol + water + CO2 mixtures were determined visually using a synthetic method in an experimental apparatus that included a variable-volume equilibrium cell. Tested solutes included boldo leaf tincture, a boldine + catechin mixture, pure boldine, and pure catechin. Uncertainties in bubble-point pressures were estimated to be <5%, based on comparisons with literature values and replicate measurements. The largest effect we observed was an average increase of 205% in the bubble-point pressure when decreasing the ethanol-to-water ratio from 63:37 to 37:63 (w/w). The bubble-point pressure increased 11% when increasing the temperature from 313 to 343 K, and decreased 8.2% when increasing the concentration of solids from 400 to 1500 ppm. The bubble-point pressure was higher for boldo leaf tincture than for a boldine + catechin mixture having the same boldine-to-catechin weight ratio, but this was partially due to a lower content of solids in the tincture. On the other hand, bubble-point pressures of the boldine + catechin mixture were marginally (0.33%) higher than the weighed average of the bubble-point pressures for pure boldine and pure catechin.  相似文献

In this paper, excess thermodynamic functions have been computed from the measured values of density, viscosity, and refractive index at T = (298.15, 303.15, and 308.15) K, ultrasonic velocity at T = 298.15 K over the entire mixture composition range of (anisole with ethanol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol, butan-1-ol, pentan-1-ol, or 3-methyl butan-1-ol). Excess molar volume, VE has been calculated from densities, whereas deviations in viscosity, Δη, were computed from the measured viscosities. From ultrasonic velocities, isentropic compressibilities were calculated, from which deviations in isentropic compressibility, Δks have been computed. Lorenz-Lorentz mixture rule was used to compute molar refractivity, R from refractivity index data and from these data, deviations in molar refractivity, ΔR have been computed. Computed thermodynamic quantities have been fitted to Redlich and Kister polynomial equation to derive the coefficients and standard errors between experimental and predicted quantities. Intermolecular interactions between anisole and alkanols have been studied based on the computed excess thermodynamic quantities.  相似文献

The surface tension of the binary refrigerant mixture dimethyl ether (RE170)(1) + propane (R290)(2) at three mass fraction of w1=0.3007,0.4975 ??and ??0.6949w1=0.3007,0.4975 ??and ??0.6949 was measured in the temperature range from 243 to 333 K with a differential capillary rise method. The uncertainties of the measurement of the temperature and the surface tension were estimated to be within ±10 mK and ±0.2 mN m−1, respectively. A correlation for the surface tension of the binary refrigerant mixture RE170 + R290 was developed as a function of the composition.  相似文献

Solid–liquid equilibrium was measured for benzene + cyclohexane, trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene and cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene under the atmospheric pressure in the temperature range from 226.69 to 353.14 K. The apparatus was specially designed in this study, and it was based on a cooling method. The phase diagram with the complete immiscible solids was observed for the three systems, and the eutectic point was found at x2 = 0.2709 and Teu = 232.11 K for benzene + cyclohexane, x2 = 0.9816 and Teu = 241.98 K for trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, and x3 = 0.9822 and Teu = 225.74 K for cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, respectively. Hydrogen solubility was also measured for the two pure substances, trans-decahydronaphthalene and cis-decahydronaphthalene, and the three mixtures, trans-decahydronaphthalene + cis-decahydronaphthalene, trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, and cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, in the pressure range from 1.702 to 4.473 MPa at 303.15 K. Considering the solid–liquid equilibrium data, mole ratio of trans-decahydronaphthalene:cis-decahydronaphthalene was set to 50:50, and those of trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, and cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene to 85:15. The hydrogen solubility increased linearly with the pressure following the Henry's law for all systems. The experimental solubility data were correlated or predicted with the Peng–Robinson equation of state [D.Y. Peng, D.B. Robinson, Ind. Eng. Chem. Fundam. 15 (1976) 59–64; R. Stryjek, J.H. Vera, Can. J. Chem. Eng. 64 (1986) 323–333].  相似文献

Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibrium data at 50, 75, and 94 kPa have been determined for the binary system ETBE + propan-1-ol, in the temperature range 325–368 K. The measurements were made in a vapor–liquid equilibrium still with circulation of both phases. Mixing volumes have been also determined from density measurements at 298.15 K and 101.3 kPa and, at the same temperature and pressure, the dependence of interfacial tension on concentration has been measured using the pendant drop technique. According to experimental results, the mixture presents positive deviation from ideal behavior and azeotropy is present at 75 and 94 kPa. No azeotrope was detected at 50 kPa. The mixing volumes of the system are negative over the whole mole fraction range, and the interfacial tensions exhibit negative deviation from the linear behavior. The activity coefficients and boiling points of the solutions were well correlated with the mole fraction using the Wohl, Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC equations. Excess volume data and interfacial tensions were correlated using the Redlich–Kister model.  相似文献

A flow-type method was adopted to measure the vapor–liquid equilibria for methanol + methyl laurate and methanol + methyl myristate systems at 493–543 K, near the critical temperature of methanol (Tc = 512.64 K), and 2.16–8.49 MPa. The effect of temperature and fatty acid methyl esters to the phase behavior was discussed. The mole fractions of methanol in liquid phase are almost the same for both systems. In vapor phase, the mole fractions of methanol are very close to unity at all temperatures. The present vapor–liquid equilibrium data were correlated by PRASOG. A binary parameter was introduced to the combining rule of size parameter. The binary parameters of methanol + fatty acid methyl ester systems were determined by fitting the present experimental data. The correlated results are in good agreement with the experimental data. The vapor–liquid equilibria for methanol + methyl laurate + glycerol and methanol + methyl myristate + glycerol ternary systems were also predicted using the methanol + fatty acid methyl ester binary parameters. The mole fractions of methanol in vapor phase are around unity even if glycerol is included in the systems.  相似文献

The surface tension of the binary refrigerant mixture pentafluoroethane (HFC-125) + 1,1-difluoroethane (HFC-152a) was measured in the temperature range from (243 to 328) K with a differential capillary rise method, for three compositions around the composition of the optimum refrigeration performance (HFC-125 + HFC152a, 15%/85%). The uncertainties of the measurement of the temperature and the surface tension were estimated to be within ±10 mK and ±0.2 mN m−1, respectively. A correlation for the surface tension of the binary refrigerant mixture HFC-152a + HFC-125 was developed as a function of the composition.  相似文献

The equilibrium pressure of ternary mixtures of {x1CH3F + x2HCl + x3N2O} covering the entire composition range has been measured at temperature of 182.33 K by the static method. The system exhibits a minimum pressure for the binary {x1CH3F + x2HCl}. The molar excess Gibbs free energy has been calculated from the experimental equilibrium pressure. For the equimolar mixture . The (pxy) surface for the ternary system and the corresponding curves for the three constituent binary mixtures obtained from the Peng-Robinson equation of state are in agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

The phase behavior of carbon dioxide (CO2) and the ionic liquid (IL) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([bmim][Cl]) was measured and correlated at high pressures up to ∼40 MPa and at temperatures between 353.15 K and 373.15 K. The solubility data of CO2 in [bmim][Cl] were obtained by observing the bubble point pressure at specific temperatures. A variable-volume view cell, which is a high-pressure equilibrium apparatus, was used to measure the CO2 + [bmim][Cl] system solubility under varying pressure and temperature conditions. In addition, liquid–liquid–vapor (LLV) three-phase behavior was investigated using the equilibrium cell to be able to determine the classification of phase-behavior type by Scott and Van Konynenburg. Based on the LLV phase behavior, this system most likely has type III phase-behavior which is common for IL + CO2 systems. The resulting data showed that CO2 dissolved well in the IL at low CO2 concentrations, but that the pressure derivative of CO2 solubility dramatically decreased as the mole fraction of CO2 was increased. The experimental data were well fitted by the Peng–Robinson equation of state with a quadratic mixing rule and cubic parameters estimated by the Joback method.  相似文献

Liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data of the solubility (binodal) curves and tie-line end compositions were examined for mixtures of {(water (1) + butyric acid (2) + diethyl succinate or diethyl glutarate or diethyl adipate (3)} at 298.2 K and 101.3 ± 0.7 kPa. The relative mutual solubility of butyric acid is higher in the diethyl succinate or diethyl glutarate or diethyl adipate layers than water layers. The consistency of the experimental tie-lines was determined through the Othmer-Tobias correlation equation. The LLE data were correlated with NRTL model, indicating the reliability of the NRTL equations for these ternary systems. The best results were achieved with the NRTL equation, using non-randomness parameter (α = 0.3) for the correlation. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were measured to evaluate the extracting capability of the solvents.  相似文献
