We consider an aggregation equation in , d2, with fractional dissipation: ut+(uK*u)=−νΛγu, where ν0, 0<γ<1, and K(x)=e−|x|. We prove a refined blowup criteria by which the global existence of solutions is controlled by its norm, for any . We prove the finite time blowup of solutions for a general class of nonsymmetric initial data. The argument presented works for both the inviscid case ν=0 and the supercritical case ν>0 and 0<γ<1. Additionally, we present new proofs of blowup which does not use free energy arguments.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the existence of holey self-orthogonal Latin squares with a symmetric orthogonal mate of type 2nu1 (HSOLSSOM(2nu1)). For u2, necessary conditions for existence of such an HSOLSSOM are that u must be even and n3u/2+1. Xu Yunqing and Hu Yuwang have shown that these HSOLSSOMs exist whenever either (1) n9 and n3u/2+1 or (2) n263 and n2(u-2). In this paper we show that in (1) the condition n9 can be extended to n30 and that in (2), the condition n263 can be improved to n4, except possibly for 19 pairs (n,u), the largest of which is (53,28).  相似文献

We investigate the immersed hypersurfaces in a unit sphere . By using Otsuki's idea, we obtain the local and global classification results for immersed hypersurfaces in of constant m-th mean curvature and two distinct principal curvatures of multiplicities n−1,1 (in the local version, we assume that the principal curvatures are non-zero when m2). As the result, we prove that any local hypersurface in of constant mean curvature and two distinct principal curvatures is an open part of a complete hypersurface of the same curvature properties. The corresponding result does not hold for m-th mean curvature when m2.  相似文献

We consider the semilinear elliptic equation Δu=h(u) in Ω{0}, where Ω is an open subset of (N2) containing the origin and h is locally Lipschitz continuous on [0,∞), positive in (0,∞). We give a complete classification of isolated singularities of positive solutions when h varies regularly at infinity of index q(1,CN) (that is, limu→∞h(λu)/h(u)=λq, for every λ>0), where CN denotes either N/(N−2) if N3 or ∞ if N=2. Let M be a smooth, compact, orientable, weakly pseudoconvex manifold of dimension 3, embedded in (N2), of codimension one or more, and endowed with the induced CR structure. Assuming that the tangential Cauchy-Riemann operator has closed range in L2(M) in order to rule out the Rossi example, we push regularity up to show has closed range in Hs(M) for all s>0. We then use the Szegö projection to show there is a smooth solution for the problem given smooth data. The results are obtained via microlocalization by piecing together estimates for functions and (0,1) forms that hold on different microlocal regions.  相似文献

A proper k-coloring C1,C2,…,Ck of a graph G is called strong if, for every vertex uV(G), there exists an index i{1,2,…,k} such that u is adjacent to every vertex of Ci. We consider classes of strongly k-colorable graphs and show that the recognition problem of is NP-complete for every k4, but it is polynomial-time solvable for k=3. We give a characterization of in terms of forbidden induced subgraphs. Finally, we solve the problem of uniqueness of a strong 3-coloring.  相似文献

Let and be graphs where the set of vertices is the set of points of the integer lattice and the set of edges consists of all pairs of vertices whose city block and chessboard distances, respectively, are 1.In this paper it is shown that the partition dimensions of these graphs are 3 and 4, respectively, while their metric dimensions are not finite. Also, for every n3 there exists an induced subgraph of of order 3n-1 with metric dimension n and partition dimension 3. These examples will answer a question raised by Chartrand, Salehi and Zhang. Furthermore, graphs of order n9 having partition dimension n-2 are characterized, thus completing the characterization of graphs of order n having partition dimension 2, n, or n-1 given by Chartrand, Salehi and Zhang. Let (M,,) be an n(2)-dimensional compact Riemannian manifold with boundary and non-negative Ricci curvature. Consider the following two Stekloff eigenvalue problems
where Δ is the Laplacian operator on M and ν denotes the outward unit normal on ∂M. The first non-zero eigenvalues of the above problems will be denoted by p1 and q1, respectively. In the present paper, we prove that if the principle curvatures of the second fundamental form of ∂M are bounded below by a positive constant c, then with equality holding if and only if Ω is isometric to an n-dimensional Euclidean ball of radius , here λ1 denotes the first non-zero eigenvalue of the Laplacian of ∂M. We also show that if the mean curvature of ∂M is bounded below by a positive constant c then q1nc with equality holding if and only if M is isometric to an n-dimensional Euclidean ball of radius . Finally, we show that q1A/V and that if the equality holds and if there is a point x0M such that the mean curvature of ∂M at x0 is no less than A/{nV}, then M is isometric to an n-dimensional Euclidean ball, being A and V the area of ∂M and the volume of M, respectively.  相似文献
