We use the algorithm recently introduce by A. Berretti and A. D. Sokal to compute numerically the critical exponents for the self-avoiding random walk on the hexagonal lattice. We find=1.3509±0.0057±0.0023v=0.7580±0.0049±0.0046=0.519±0.082±0.077 where the first error is the systematic one due to corrections to scaling and the second is the statistical error. For the effective coordination number we find=1.84779±0.00006±0.0017 The results support the Nienhuis conjecture=43/32 and provide a rough numerical check of the hyperscaling relationdv=2–. An additional analysis, taking the Nienhuis value of=(2+21/2)1/2 for granted, gives=1.3459±0.0040±0.0008  相似文献

Decay of Re186     
The decay of Re 186 was investigated with a double focusing spectrometer and scintillation spectrometer. Four transitions were observed with energies of 122·7±0·1 keV, 137·2 keV, 632·2±1·5 keV and 768·2±1·5 keV and the relative-ray intensities 18, 246, 0·9 and 1 respectively. TheK-conversion coefficients determined for low-energy transitions are in good agreement with the theoretical values ( K 122·7 =0·53±0·05, K 137·2 =0·44±0·02). The relative intensities of theK, L, M andN conversion lines were also determined for these transitions:KL I +IIL III M=1·20±0·201·32±0·20 1±0·150·57±0·08 for 122·7 keV transition,KL I +IIL III MN=1·57±0·081· 72±0080·70±0·030·20±0·01 for 137·2 keV transition. In the beta spectrum two groups were observed with the end points of 1076±3 keV and 939±3 keV and relative intensities 74±4% and 21±4% respectively. For the branching ofK-capture it was found that 1·5% populates the 122·7 keV level and 3·5% the ground state. The decay scheme from the present results is proposed.The authors would like to thank M. We report analyses of series enumerations for the mean radius of gyration for isotropic and directed lattice animals and for percolation clusters, in two and three dimensions. We allow for the leading correction to the scaling behaviour and obtain estimates of the leading correction-to-scaling exponent . We find -0.640±0.004 and =0.87±0.07 for isotropic animals in 2d, and =0.64±0.06 in 3d. For directed lattice animals we argue that the leading correction has= or= ; we also estimate =0.82±0.01 and 0.69 ±0.01 ind=2, 3 respectively. For percolation clusters at and abovep c, we find (p c) =0.58±0.06 and (p>p c)=0.84±0.09 in 2d, and (p c)=0.42±0.11 and (p>p c)=0.41 ±0.09 in 3d.  相似文献

The dielectric properties of titanium doped magnesium oxide (Ti/MgO) and gadolinium doped magnesium oxide (Gd/MgO) single crystals have been measured at room temperature over the frequency range 500 Hz to 50 kHz. For both the crystals, the dielectric constant is found to be independent of frequency and the ac conductivity Re{ae} agrees well with the relation Re{ae} n , being the angular frequency with n=0.84±0.05 for Ti/MgO andn=0.81±0.03 for Gd/MgO. The data fits well with the relation n–1(n<1), being the dielectric loss factor. An explanation may be found on the basis of the hopping phenomenon.  相似文献

The magnetic moments of the proton drip-line nuclei13O(I = 3/2,T 1/2 = 8.6 ms) and 9C(I = 3/2,T 1/2 = 126 ms) have been determined for the first time through the combined techniques of polarized radioactive nuclear beams and-NMR detection. The observed magnetic moments are ¦(13O)¦ = 1.3891 ±0.0003 N and ¦(9C)¦ = 1.3914 ±0.0005 N. Spin expectation values are deduced to be 0.76 and 1.44 for13O and9C, respectively. While the of13O is consistent with the systematics from isospinT= 1/2 mirror pairs, the of9C is unusually large, even far larger than the single particle value, = 1.  相似文献

We have used the method of high-temperature series expansions to investigate the critical point properties of a continuous-spin Ising model and g04d Euclidean field theory. We have computed through tenth order the hightemperature series expansions for the magnetization, susceptibility, second derivative of the susceptibility, and the second moment of the spin-spin correlation function on eight different lattices. Our analysis of these series is made using integral and Padé approximants. In three dimensions we find that hyperscaling fails for sufficiently Ising-like systems; the strong coupling limit of g043 depends on how the ultraviolet cutoff is removed. The level contours of the renormalized coupling constant for this model in theg 0, correlation-length plane exhibit a saddle point. If the ultraviolet cutoff is removed beforeg 0 , the usual field theory results and the renormalization-group fixed point with hyperscaling is obtained. If the order of these limits is reversed, the Ising model limit where hyperscaling fails and the field theory is trivial is obtained. In four dimensions, we find that hyperscaling fails completely; g044 is trivial for all g0 when the ultraviolet cutoff is removed.Work supported in part by the U.S. Department of Energy.  相似文献

For the radial Schrödinger equation with a potentialq(x) decreasing at infinity asq 0 q , (0, 2), the low energy asymptotics of spectral and scattering data is found. In particular, it is shown that forq 0>0 the spectral function vanishes exponentially as the energyk 2 tends to zero. On the contrary, there is always a zero-energy resonance forq 0<0. These results determine the local asymptotics of solutions of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for large timest. Specifically, for positive potentials its solutions decay as exp(–0 t (2–)/(2+), 0>0,t. In the case (1, 2) it is shown that for ±q 0>0 the phase shift tends to ± ask0 and its asymptotics is evaluated.  相似文献

The possible existence of a vector leptonic resonance (0) in the + system is considered. We discuss the effect such a resonance would have on the g factor of the muon and also on the ratio of the partial widths of the muonic and electronic decay modes (RV = (V +)/G (V e+ e)) of the neutral vector mesons 0,,,, and. From the experimental values of R and R, the following values are obtained for the mass, coupling constant, and partial decay widths of the resonance: M = 872 ± 60 MeV, f2/4 = 4 ± 2) ·10–4, ( 0 + ) = 0.12±0.06 MeV, and (0 0 +) = 0.13±0.06 MeV.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 5, pp. 39–43, May, 1977.  相似文献

We prove for a general class of Gibbsian Random Field on that the set of tempered Gibbs states is compact. This class contains the Euclidean random fields. Moreover if the interaction is attractive, there is a unique minimal and maximal Gibbs state and +×± are unique translation invariant ant and have the global Markov property. We also prove that uniqueness of the tempered Gibbs state is equivalent to the magnetizationsm ±=±(q x ) being equal which is true if the pressure is differentiable.  相似文献

Coherent vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) radiation was generated by four-wave difference frequency mixing (VUV=212) of pulsed dye laser radiation in carbon monoxide (CO). The frequency 1 was tuned to the C 1+(=0)X 1+(=0) two-photon transition, while the dye laser frequency 2 was scaned around 17650 cm–1 which corresponds to the A 1(=7)«C 1+(=0) transition energy. The VUV intensity was found to be strongly wavelength dependent. The analysis of the spectrum revealed (i) that the VUV intensity was enhanced by the rotational levels of the A 1(=7) state and (ii) that the off-resonance excitation in the C 1+(=0)X 1+(=0) two-photon transition greatly contributed to the present four-wave mixing process. The effects of pumping laser detuning, saturation and foreign gases are briefly discussed.  相似文献

The ac electrical conductivity, DSC calorimetry and density data for pure Na4UO2(SO4)3 and for compound incorporating guest ions Rb+, Cd2+, Gd3+, SiO 4 4– in the glass, quasi-crystalline intermediate and crystalline phases are reported. The glass phase conductivity data show an increase in Na+ conductivity by a factor 103 relative to pure crystalline Na2SO4 in the low temperature (LT) region, i.e. 180°C. There is no onset of phase transition up to 260°C. The distinct conductivity regimes prior to devitrification in the glass suggest that higher energy or excited structural states/configurations can exist in the glass phase. The apparent activation energy Q c value 76±5 kJ/mole for the glass state of all compositions is in excellent agreement with the Na2SO4 III Q c value. The conductivity regime immediately after devitrification with Q c of 40±3 kJ/mole represents the stable intermediate phase. The conductivity of the final product of devitrification on cooling resembles crystalline behavior except for (Na3.5Rb0.5)UO2(SO4)3. A gradual jump in conductivity accompanies the transition in the crystalline sample. The Q c value is 75±5 kJ/mole for the (HT) phase conductivity in the heating mode but remains constant at 66±5 kJ/mole for the (LT) phase in the heating mode and for both and phases in the cooling mode.The excellent conductivity-volume, i.e. /V correlation is consistent with the free volume contribution to conductivity enhancement and the percolation-type mechanism of transport.This study received partial support from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada  相似文献

The decay asymmetries (A) in polarized12B and12N have been measured as a function of -ray energies (E). The coefficients ± inA = ±P(p/E) (1+± E) have been determined to be (12B) =+(0.31±0.06)%/MeV and +(12N) = –(0.21±0.07)%/MeV. The experimental value, +=(0.52±0.09)%/MeV, is larger than the prediction according to conservation of vector current which includes no second-class current, + CVC0.27%/MeV, and indicates the existence of the second-class induced-tensor current.This work has been done in collaboration with I. Following an approach of Toulouse, ground states in random 2D Ising ±J spin glasses (without external magnetic field), on square lattices, and with concentrations 0p0.5 of antiferromagnetic bonds are studied by means of minimal matchings of frustrated plaquettes. Lete(p) be the ground-state energy per spin in the thermodynamic limit. Then the well-known equatione(p)=–2+(p)f(p) holds, wheref(p) is the concentration of frustrated plaquettes and(p) is the average connection length between paired frustrated plaquettes in minimal matchings. Introducing (p) as the probability that a frustrated plaquette is matched to another frustrated plaquette by a connection of length (in a minimal matching), the average length(p) can be rewritten asgl(p)=(p). The study of(p) and its components (p) leads to an intervalp *pp 2 (p *0.121±0.008,p 20.161±0.008) where the threshold between ferromagnet and paramagnet forT=0 lies. Analyzing a similar so-called adjoined average lengthl(p) admits further insight.  相似文献

The Julia setB for the mappingz (z–)2 is considered, where is a complex parameter. For 2 a new upper bound for the Hausdorff dimension is given, and the monic polynomials orthogonal with respect to the equilibrium measure onB are introduced. A method for calculating all of the polynomials is provided, and certain identities which obtain among coefficients of the three-term recurrence relations are given. A unifying theme is the relationship betweenB and -chains ± (± (± ...), which is explored for –1/42 and for with ||1/4, with the aid of the Böttcher equation. The asymmetric contact process onZ has two distinct critical values 1 > 2 (at least with sufficient asymmetry). One can consider the process on {0,...,N} and analyze the time (which we call N ) till complete vacany starting from complete occupation. Its behavior has already been resolved for all regions of except for =2. For this value, Schinazi proved that lim N log N /logN=2 in probability and conjectured that N /N 2 converges in distribution. It is that result that we prove in this paper. We rely heavily on the Brownian motion behavior of the edge particle, which comes from Galves and Presutti and Kuczek.  相似文献

For automorphism groups of operator algebras we show how properties of the difference t – ' t are reflected in relations between the generators , . We report measurements, between helium and room temperature, of the thermal expansion (T), sound velocitiesv L (T) andv T (v) and specific heatC(T) of YBa2Cu3O7 samples, all cut from the same sintered pellet. A linear term in (T) is resolved at low temperatures. It is compared with a corresponding term in the low temperature specific heat and, using the bulk modulus from our sound propagation measurements, a Grüneisen parameter of usual size (1.2±0.4) is derived-in conformity with the possible existence of non-superconducting carriers well belowT c . Longtime drift effects in the length of the sample between 30 K and 60 K point to the vicinity of a structural instability. The Debye temperature derived fromC(T) amounts to about 450 K atT=T c =91 K and forT0 approaches 350 K, in agreement with the value deduced fromv L (T) andv T (T). The superconducting transition is indicated by anomalies with idealized discontinuities and C. A thermodynamic relation between and C yields the relative pressure derivative ofT c ,t p =T c –1 (T c /p) p0=+(0.7±0.2)·10–7 kbar–1.  相似文献

The contact process onZ has one phase transition; let c be the critical value at which the transition occurs. Let N be the extinction time of the contact process on {0,...,N}. Durrett and Liu (1988), Durrett and Schonmann (1988), and Durrett, Schonmann, and Tanaka (1989) have respectively proved that the subcritical, supercritical, and critical phases can be characterized using a large finite system (instead ofZ) in the following way. There are constants 1() and 2() such that if < c , lim N N /logN = 1/1(); if > c , lim N log N /N = 2(); if = c , lim N N /N= and lim N N /N 4=0 in probability. In this paper we consider the asymmetric contact process onZ when it has two distinct critical values c1< c2. The arguments of Durrett and Liu and of Durrett and Schonmann hold for < c1 and > c2. We show that for [ c1< c2), lim N N /N=-1/, (where i is an edge speed) and for = c2, lim N log N /logN=2 in probability.  相似文献
