Synthesis and properties of 1-(2-bromoethyl)-, 1-(2-alkoxyethyl)- and 1-(2-dialkylaminoethyl)2-alkylpyrroles

Synthesis of 6-Methyl-4-(1-methyl-2-buten-1-yl)-2-(2-cyclohexen-1-yl)- and 6-Methyl-4-(1-methyl-2-buten-1-yl)-2-(1-cyclohexen-1-yl)anilines

Polarity and structure of 2-(1-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-1-phenyl- and -1,2-diphenyl-1-nitroethenes

Polarity of 2-(1-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-1-phenyl- and -1,2-diphenyl-1-nitroethenes was determined and their structure was studied using electronic and ¹H, ¹³C NMR spectroscopy, dipole moments measuring, XRD analysis, and quantum-chemical calculations. It was shown that the 2-(1-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-1-nitro-1-phenylethene has Z-configuration both in crystal and solution. The nitro group and benzimidazole substituent in its molecule are removed from the plane of the double bond. For 1,2-diphenyl-1-nitroethene E-structure is typical.     

1-(2′-triethylsilylethyl)-, 1-(2′-triethylsilylvinyl)-, and 1′-(2′-triethylsilylethynyl)-silatranes

Conclusions The reaction of 2-triethylsilyl-substituted ethyl-, vinyl-, and ethynyltrialkoxysilanes with triethanolamine gave 1-substituted silatranes possessing neurotropic activity.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 11, pp. 2611–2613, November, 1984.     

Synthesis of 1-(2-naphthyl)dihydro- and 1-(2-naphthyl)-2-thiodihydrouracils and their transformations

1-(2-Naphthyl)dihydro- and 1-(2-naphthyl)-2-thiodihydrouracils were obtained from N-(2-naphthyl)--alanine derivatives. The thiodihydrouracil was converted to a dihydrouracil. Bromination of 1-(2-naphthyl)dihydrouracil gave (1-bromonaphthyl)dihydrouracil. 1-(2-Naphthyl)-2-oxo-, 1-(2-naphthyl)-2-thio-. and 1-(1-bromo-2-naphthyl)-2-oxohexahydro-pyrimidines were obtained.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii. Synthesis of substituted 1-(2-arylvinyl)-2-azolyl-1-pyridylethanols-1

A series of new 1-(2-arylvinyl)-2-azolyl-1-pyridylethanols-1 has been obtained with various positions of the nitrogen atom in the pyridine fragment and with substituents in the benzene ring, by the reaction of (2-arylvinyloxiran-2-yl)pyridines with triazole and imidazole, for agrochemical screening. Sulfonated 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthols and 2-(2-pyridylazo)-1-naphthols as spectrophotometric reagents: Determination of nickel

Three sulfonated 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthols and six sulfonated 2-(2-pyridylazo)-1-naphthols were synthesized, and their application to the spectrophotometric determination of metals was studied. The acidity constants of the reagents and the stability constants of the nickel chelates are reported, and the relationship between their properties and the position of the sulfonic acid group is discussed. 1-(2-Pyridylazo)-2-naphthol-6-sulfonic acid (PAN-6S) and 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol-7-sulfonic acid (PAN-7S) are sensitive and selective reagents for nickel. The determination of nickel in the presence of cobalt with PAN-6S is described. Extraction of the chelate as the ion-pair with tetraphenylarsonium ions into chloroform is suitable for the determination of 1–10 μg Ni at 570 nm; the molar absorptivity is 56 000 l mol^-1 cm^-1, and interferences are easily avoided.     

Synthesis, Structure and Biological Activities of 2-（1H- 1,2,3-Benzotriazol-1 -yl ）-1-（ 4- methylphenyl ）-2-（1H-1,2,4-triazol-l-yl）-1-ethanone

The title compound was synthesized and characterized by IR, ^1H NMR, elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Its biological activities were also tested. The results show that the title compound reveals inhibiting activities towards wheat gibberellin, apple ringspot, tomato early blight, peanut cercospora arachidicola and stem wilt of asparagus.
