General L p -harmonic Blaschke bodies

Lutwak introduced the harmonic Blaschke combination and the harmonic Blaschke body of a star body. Further, Feng and Wang introduced the concept of the L _p -harmonic Blaschke body of a star body. In this paper, we define the notion of general L _p -harmonic Blaschke bodies and establish some of its properties. In particular, we obtain the extreme values concerning the volume and the L _p -dual geominimal surface area of this new notion.     

On λ-harmonic graphs

A λ harmonic graph G, a λ-Hgraph G for short, means that there exists a constant denotes the degree of vertex vi. In this paper, some harmonic properties of the complement and line graph are given, and some algebraic properties for the λ-Hgraphs are obtained.     

On holomorphic harmonic morphisms

We study holomorphic harmonic morphisms from K?hler manifolds to almost Hermitian manifolds. When the codomain is also K?hler we get restrictions on such maps in the case of constant holomorphic curvature. We also prove a Bochner-type formula for holomorphic harmonic morphisms which, under certain curvature conditions of the domain, gives insight to the structure of the vertical distribution. We thus prove that when the domain is compact and non-negatively curved, the vertical distribution is totally geodesic. Received: 28 May 2001     

Gradient estimates for p(x)-harmonic functions

We establish an a priori gradient estimate for the solutions of the quasilinear p(x)-Laplace equation Δ _p(x) u = 0.     

On morphisms of commutative monoids

The aim of this work is to study monoid morphisms between commutative monoids. Algorithms to check if a monoid morphism between two finitely generated monoids is injective and/or surjective are given. The structure of the set of monoid morphisms between a monoid and a cancellative monoid is also studied and an algorithm to obtain a system of generators of this set is provided.     

On good morphisms of exact triangles

In a triangulated category, cofibre fill-ins always exist. Neeman showed that there is always at least one “good” fill-in, i.e., one whose mapping cone is exact. Verdier constructed a fill-in of a particular form in his proof of the $4\times 4$ lemma, which we call “Verdier good”. We show that for several classes of morphisms of exact triangles, the notions of good and Verdier good agree. We prove a lifting criterion for commutative squares in terms of (Verdier) good fill-ins. Using our results on good fill-ins, we also prove a pasting lemma for homotopy cartesian squares.

Classification and Liouville type theorems for <Emphasis Type="Italic">p</Emphasis>-harmonic morphisms

We prove firstly the classification theorem for p-harmonic morphisms between Euclidean domains. Secondly, we show that if is a p-harmonic morphism (p ≥ 2) from a complete Riemannian manifold M of nonnegative Ricci curvature into a Riemannian manifold N of non-positive scalar curvature such that the L ^q -energy is finite, then is constant, which improve the corresponding result due to G. Choi, G. Yun in (Geometriae Dedicata 101 (2003), 53–59).

p -调和态射的构造

On cube-free ω-words generated by binary morphisms

Let h be a morphism satisfying h(a) = ax for a letter a and a nonempty word x. Then h defines an infinite word (an ω-word) when applied iteratively starting from a. Such ω-words are considered in a binary case. It is shown that only biprefixes can generate cube-free ω-words, i.e. words which do not contain a word υ³, with υ ≠ λ, as a subword. The same does not hold true for fourth power-free ω-words, the counterexample being the ω-word defined by the Fibonaccimorphism: h(a) = ba, h(b) = a.As the main result it is proved that it is decidable whether a given morphism of the above form generates a cube-free ω-word. Moreover, it is shown that no more than 10 steps of iterations are needed to solve the problem.

EP morphisms

The concept of an EP matrix is extended to a morphism of a category C with involution. It is shown that an EP morphism has a group inverse iff it has a Moore-Penrose inverse, and in this case the inverses are identical. On the other hand, if a morphism has a Moore-Penrose inverse that is a group inverse, then C is a full subcategory of a category in which φ is EP. Also, if C is an additive category with involution 1 and with 1-biproduct factorization, then a morphism of φ of C is EP iff there is a 1-biproduct J ⊕ K and an invertible morphism θ : J → J such that φ is congruent to a morphism of the form

$\text{θ 0}\text{0 0}\text{: J⊕K → J⊕K.}$

In particular, a square matrix over a principal-ideal domain with involution is EP iff it is congruent to a matrix of the form dg(θ, 0) with θ invertible.     

Covering morphisms

Let (R, m) be a two-dimensional regular local ring and let A be a finitely generated torsion-free R-module. If A is a complete module, then Dan Katz and Vijay Kodiyalam show A satisfies five conditions. They ask whether these five conditions are equivalent without assuming A to be complete. In a previous paper we determined all implications among these five conditions with one exception. In this paper, with an additional hypothesis on the units of R, we resolve the remaining case.     

On birational morphisms between pencils of Del Pezzo surfaces
