Anomalous magnetotransport phenomena have been observed in θ-(BEDT-TTF)2I3 crystals at temperatures below 15 K. The magnetoresistance M : (1) is a linear function of the magnetic field H, (2) is not affected by the angle between the electric current and the magnetic field, (3) but depends on the magnetic field orientation with respect to the crystal axis. Magnetoresistance is expressed as M = (aH2a + bH2b + cH2c)0-3/2/H in terms of H = (Ha, Hb, Hc), the zero field resistivity 0, and parameters a, b, and c which are independent of temperature and magnetic field. We have found that b a > c. Magnetoresistance up to 40 is observed for H = 7T along the b-axis at T = 1.5K.  相似文献

The low-temperature (5 K < T < 300 K) magnetic properties of a set of nine isostructural fcc Fe-Cr-Ni (Fe ≈ 68 at %, Cr ≈ 20 at%, Ni ≈ 9 at%) alloys were studied by SQUID magnetometry, neutron diffraction and ultrasonic techniques. Type-1 antiferromagnetic (AF) ordering was observed below the Néel temperature, TN. The dc susceptibility, χ(T), did not exhibit a simple Curie-Weiss dependence. Above TN, atemperature independent component χ0 was observed, i.e., χ(T) = χ0 + C / (itT + θ. TN was systematically influenced by the lattice parameter, a, decreasing from (47.9 ± 0.5) K to (35.0 ± 0.5) K as a increased by only 0.25%. The average magnetic moment of ≈ 0.6μB obtained from neutron scattering was lower than the ≈ 1 μB obtained from the SQUID data. Mean field estimates of antiferromagnetic nearest-neighbors exchange interaction (J1) and ferromagnetic second-nearest-neighbors interaction (J2) indicate that |J2/J1|≈ 1.5. We believe that this is evidence of the RKKY interaction, and self-consistently argue that only the external d electrons are responsible for the localized average moment. This may mean that s-d hybridization of the external electrons is weak in these alloys.  相似文献

Magnetic excitations in Fe65Ni35 and ordered Fe3Pt have been studied by neutron scattering. It has been found that both alloys show common anomalous dynamical properties. At 5 K, well defined magnon groups could be detected up to 80 meV, but the temperature variations of the magnetization M(T) cannot be explained only by the magnon excitations. The integrated intensity measurements of the magnon spectra suggest that no other excitations take part in M(T). The magnons dampen significantly with the linewidth Γ(q, T) obeying a relation Γ(q, T) = (Γ0+aT)q2 with 1. The results suggest that the magnetic excitations with volume change occur in a slow relaxation process.  相似文献

Magnetization σ vs. temperature T was measured from 80 to 700 K in polycrystalline DyFe3 in a magnetic field H = 10 kOe. From σ = f(T), the Curie temperature was determined. Also, σ was measured vs. H from 0 to 70 kOe at 4.2 K. Magnetization at saturation σ0 at 4.2 K and the magnetic moment of DyFe3 were also determined. First observations of domain structure in DyFe3 are reported. The mean domain with is determined in its dependence on the grain size . The magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant of polycrystalline DyFe3 is determined as K1 = -1.2×107 erg/cm3.  相似文献

Within a real-space renormalization-group framework, we approach the cubic lattice through a D = 3 diamond-like hierarchical lattice. The model is a standard, nearest-neighbor, Ising spin glass with coupling constants {Jij} distributed according to the family of continuous probability distributions Pq(Jij) ∝ 1/[1 + (q − 1)Jij2/2J2]1/(q − 1) (if 1 + (q − 1) Jij2/2J2 > 0, and zero otherwise; q ). Such distributions, which arise naturally in the treatment, within the recently proposed nonextensive thermostatistics, of anomalous diffusion, reproduce the usual, Gaussian case, for q → 1. Moreover, they present a second moment Jij2 proportional to (5 − 3q)−1 for q < 5/3, diverging for q ≥ 5/3, but keeping a finite width at midheight. In the limit q → 3, Pq(Jij) collapses with the abscissa, and so the width at midheight diverges. We compute the q-dependence of the spin-glass critical temperature Tc. We show numerically that Tc does not scale with Jij21/2 (contrary to the usual belief), but rather with the width at midheight of Pq(Jij). Our results suggest that Tc vanishes as −1/q when q → −∞; furthermore, we verified that Tc diverges exponentially when q approaches 3 from below.  相似文献

We present here the detailed analysis of the magnetic behavior of the Co0.53Ga0.47 alloy, especially at temperatures above the freezing temperature Tf = 10 K. Low field static magnetization measurements were performed by using the SQUID magnetometer in the temperature range 5–65 K and magnetic fields up to 100 Oe. The temperature dependence of the field cooled susceptibility πFC(T) at T > Tf has an anomaly, which is displayed in the double change of the curvature near Ts = 24 K. The data of magnetization MFC in an external field H lie on a universal curve MFC(H/T) at temperatures Tf < T < Ts. The plots of π-1FC(T) and non-linear magnetic susceptibility πnlFC(T-3) are linear lines in the temperature range TfTs. The strong deviation of π-1FC(T) and πnlFC(T-3) from straight line, taking place at T Ts, indicates that Ts is an upper temperature limit of the classical superparamagnetic behavior with the constant cluster moment. The results suggest that such phenomena may be fairly universal for spin glasses.  相似文献

The magnetic ordering of the orthorhombic compound CeSi (Pama space group, FeB type of structure, Z = 4) Tn = 5.6 K was investigated by means of powder neutron diffraction in the temperatures 1.5 and 10 K. Our results show that the magnetic ordering is associated with a three dimensionally amplitude-modulated phase which is incommensurate with the crystal lattice with wave vector q = (qχ,qy,qz). The ordered Ce3+ moments are confined to the plane (a,b) at an angle of 16.7° with the b direction. It follows from the present data analysis that the dominant wave vector component is qz, which approximately corresponds to a transversal modulation, however the incommensurateness involves also the qx and qy components. The amplitude of the sine wave is μ0j = 1.667μB at 1.5 K which corresponds to quite a reduced ordered moment value compared to the Ce3+ free ion value gJ = 2.14μB.  相似文献

A program to investigate the light scalar resonances a0(980)/ƒ0(980) in hadronic interactions via their decay into the πη and channels has started at the ANKE spectrometer of COSY-Jülich. As the first step the reactions ppdπ+X and ppdK+X have been measured at two energies, Tp = 2.65 GeV and 2.83 GeV. The status of the analysis at Tp = 2.65 GeV is presented. A total cross section of about 50 nb has been determined for the reaction .  相似文献

Epitaxial thin films of the conductive ferromagnetic oxide SrRuO3 were grown on an (0 0 1) SrTiO3 (STO) substrate by using DC sputtering technique. The magnetic and magnetoresistive properties of the films were measured by applying the magnetic field both perpendicular (out-of-plane) and parallel (in-plane) to the film plane and ever maintaining the direction of the applied field perpendicular to that of the transport current. The films grown on an (0 0 1) STO substrate showed identical magnetization properties in two orthogonal crystallographic directions of the substrate, [1 0 0]S and [0 0 1]S (in-plane and out-of-plane geometry), which suggests the presence of a multi domain structure within the plane of the film. For such samples, no anisotropic field (hard axis) along de [0 0 1]s direction, i.e., perpendicular to the film-plane could be detected. Nevertheless, a distinguishable temperature dependent out-of-plane anisotropic magnetoresistance (MR) along with strong temperature dependent low field hysteretic MR(H) behavior was detected for the studied films. A negative MR ratio MR(T)=[ρ0H=9 T; T)−ρ( μ0H=0 T; T)]/ρ( μ0H=0 T; T) on the order of a few percent, with maximums of 6% and 4% (right at the Curie temperature, TC 160 K) was calculated for an in-plane and out-of plane measuring geometry, respectively. In addition there is an equally strong MR effect at low temperatures, which might be related to the temperature dependence of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy together with a magnetization rotation. Both the MR(T) behavior and the achieved values (except for T<30 K) are similar to those obtained on SrRuO3 films grown on 2° miscut (0 0 1) STO substrates with the current parallel to the field and parallel to the direction, which was identified as the easier axis for magnetization.  相似文献

The properties of the charge fluctuation are investigated in the d---p model with the repulsion Upd between holes on the nearest-neighbor Cu and O sites and the infinite on-site repulsion Ud at the Cu site. We calculate the charge susceptibility χc(q, iωn) and the charge correlation function Sc(q) = TΣωn χc(q, iωn). It is found that Sc(q) has a peak at the Γ point and a maximum in a ring around the Γ point. The former is due to Tχc(q, 0). Its intensity is proportional to temperature T and strongly enhanced by Upd. The latter is due to TΣωn ≠ 0 χc(q, iωn) and shows a weak T and Upd dependence. The intensity of the diffuse X-ray scattering on taking the charge fluctuation into account is also calculated. The result is consistent with the experiments in La2−δSrδCuO4.  相似文献

The π0 spectrum in the KL0 → 3π decay was measured using a wire chambers magnetic spectrometer. In the usual approximation, the matrix element can be expressed as: M2 ≈ 1 + 2a0(MK/Mπ2)(2Tπ0Tπ0max) + a1(MK2/Mπ4)(2Tπ0Tπ0max)2. We obtained a0 = −0.282 ± 0.011 and a1 consistent with zero.  相似文献

Magnetic phases in PrCo2Si2 have been studied by measurements of magnetization, neutron diffraction and electrical resistivity. For <9 K, the magnetic structure with a propagation vector k = (0,0,1) [2π/c] is stable. Incommensurate structures k = (0,0,0.926) and (0,0,0.777) appear for 9 K < T <17 K and 17 K < T <30 K, respectively.  相似文献

MnAs0.88P0.12 has been studied by powder neutron diffraction in external magnetic fields up to 15.2 kOe and temperatures down to 4.2 K. MnAs0.88P0.12 takes the MnP type atomic arrangement and exists in para-, ferro- and different (essentially) helimagnetic states. The observation of a double 000± satellite at 4.2 K < T 70 K adds further evidence to the chain of arguments for distinction between the helimagnetic states H'a (4.2 K < T < TS,1 ≈ 70 K) and Ha (TS,2 ≈ 180 K < T < TN = (243 ± 5) K). External magnetic fields at 4.2 K < T < 70 K evoke a new magnetic state, which is also characterized by a satellite doublet, and is tentatively designated H'a,fan.  相似文献

We have made high-temperature (250 K<T<800 K) DC susceptibility measurements in the compounds RuSr2Eu2−xCexCu2O10 for x=0.6,0.8, and 1.0 in order to determine the Ru effective magnetic moment. After carefully subtracting all contributions to the magnetic susceptibility except that of the Ru ions, we have been able to fit the Ru susceptibility with a law χRu0+CRu/(T−ΘRu). We have found that the Ru effective moment falls between the values expected for Ru5+ in spin states and . We have also found a dependence of μeff(Ru) and ΘRu with the Ce content x.  相似文献

The magnetic susceptibility of dilute magnetic alloys of Mn in Rh and Fe in a Nb-Mo solid solution deviates from the Curie-Weiss law. The following temperature dependence is observed: Δχ = C/(T + TK) + log (TK/T), with ≡ 0 for T > TK0.  相似文献

The magnetic phase diagram of La2(Cu1−xZnx)O4 has been determined from zero-field muon-spin-rotation (ZF-μSR) data taken at LAMPF for 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.10. Antiferromagnetic onset temperatures follow TN(x) from susceptibility measurements on the same samples. However, the order becomes long range, as evidenced by a well-defined internal magnetic field, only at temperatures well below TN. Extrapolation of our results yields TN → 0 K at x = 0.11 for a single (Cu1−xZnx)O2 plane, and comparison with YBa2(Cu1−xZnx)3O6 implies identical disruption of magnetism by Zn doping in the single- and double-plane systems.  相似文献

The structural, electrical and magnetic properties of the superconducting ferromagnets, Gd1.4−xDyxCe0.6Sr2RuCu2O10 (x=0–0.6) are systematically investigated as a function of Dy doping and temperature. These compounds are characterized by high temperature superconductivity (Tc ranging from 20 to 40 K depending upon the Dy content) co-existing with weak ferromagnetism with two magnetic transitions (TM2 ranging from 95 to 106 K and TM1 around 120 K). Doping with Dy gives no significant structural changes except for a minor change in the c/a ratio. However the superconducting transition temperature is significantly suppressed and magnetic ordering temperature enhanced on Dy doping. These effects are described and discussed.  相似文献

The magnetization of single-crystal HoNi2B2C has been measured as a function of applied field (H) and temperature in order to probe the interplay between superconductivity and magnetism in this complex layered system. The normal-state magnetic susceptibility of HoNi2B2C is highly anisotropic with a Curie-Weiss-like temperature dependence for H applied perpendicular to the c-axis and with a much weaker temperature dependence for H applied parallel to the c-axis, indicating that the Ho+3 magnetic moments lie predominately in the tetragonal ab plane below 20 K. High-field magnetization (2000 Oe), low-field magnetization (20 Oe) and zero-field specific heat all give an antiferromagnetic ordering temperature of TN=5.0 K. Remarkably, in 20 Oe applied field both superconductivity (Tc=8.0 K) and antiferromagnetism (TN=5.0 K) clearly make themselves manifest in the magnetization data. From these magnetization data a phase diagram in the HT plane was constructed for both directions of applied field. This phase diagram shows a non-monotonic temperature dependence of Hc2 with a deep minimum at TN=5 K. The high-field magnetization data for H applied perpendicular to the c-axis also reveal a cascade of three phase transitions for T < 5 K and H < 15 000 Oe, contributing to the rich H versus T phase diagram for HoNi2B2C at low temperatures.  相似文献

The magnetic ordering of the hexagonal compound TbMn6Ge6 has been studied by neutron diffraction at various temperatures between 1.8 and 500 K. In almost the whole magnetically ordered regime the magnetic structures are incommensurate with the crystal lattice. The corresponding wave vector q1 = (0,0,qz) is strongly temperature dependent and decreases from qz = 0.1307 r.l.u. at 1.8 K to qz = 0.091 r.l.u. at 410 K. The low-temperature range (T < 85 K) is characterised by a triple ferrimagnetic spiral structure with net moment along the c-direction. At Tt = 85 K the net moment disappears and the magnetic ordering changes into a flat spiral structure that probably persists up to the magnetic ordering temperature, TN = 450 K. Before reaching the magnetic ordering temperature, however, an additional ferrimagnetic component perpendicular to the c-direction develops, marking the onset of re-entrant ferrimagnetism. The resulting structure described by two propagation vectors corresponds to a distorted spiral. Various models are discussed. The observed re-entrant ferrimagnetism is in agreement with results of previously reported magnetic measurements.  相似文献
