We fit the scattering lengths in the triplets-,p- andd- waves for the two channels \(\bar pp \to \bar \Lambda \Lambda\) and \(\bar \Lambda \Lambda \to \bar \Lambda \Lambda\) near theΛ production threshold to the differential cross section \(\frac{{d\sigma }}{{d\Omega }}(\bar pp \to \bar \Lambda \Lambda )\) and to the polarization P.  相似文献

\(N\bar N\) annihilation into three pseudoscalar mesons especially πππ and \(K\bar K\pi \) are studied in the quark pair creation model or the3 P 0 model in which two \(q\bar q\) pairs are annihilated and two \(q\bar q\) pairs are created with quantum numbers of the vacuum or3 P 0. The correlations of two pions to form ?,f 2 and the resonance AX(1565) which is recently found by the ASTERIX group are taken into account. A proper treatment of the symmetry among the three pions in the final state shows that the \({}^{31}S_0 p\bar p\) annihilation into ?π is suppressed in agreement with the experiment. We calculate the cosθ distribution or the distribution of the Dalitz plot as the function of the angle between the direction of emission of one decay pion in the resonance centre of mass and the line of flight of the resonance. The interferences of π+ρ+, π?ρ+ and π0ρ0 in the isospin 0 channels and π±ρ? and π0 f 2 in the isospin 1 channel reproduce the peaks. The cos θ distribution for the P-wave \(p\bar p\) annihilation into πAX depends strongly on the size of the pion since the amplitude interfers with the π±ρ? amplitude which is sensitive to the size of the pion. The same model qualitatively explains the \(p\bar p\) annihilation into \(K\bar K\pi \) in whichK or \(\bar K\) and π are correlated to formK* \(\bar K\) or \(\bar K\) *K final states. We can qualitatively reproduce different patterns of the cos θ distribution for theK *+ andK *0.  相似文献

The implications of the model with a SU(2)-singlet up-type quark, heavy enough not to be produced at the LHC, namely, the contribution of the new quark to the branching ratios of the K → πν $ \bar \nu $ , B → πν $ \bar \nu $ , and BKν $ \bar \nu $ decays are investigated. It is shown that the deviation from the Standard Model can be up to 10% in the case of a 5-TeV quark. Precise measurements of these branching ratios in future experiments will allow for the observation of the contributions of the new quark or to impose stronger constraints on its mass.  相似文献

We have analysed the recent data onD→ππ and \(K\bar K\) decays from ARGUS, CLEO and E691. (i) We find that Bauer, Stech and Wirbel (BSW) model does fairly well in explaining all data if we assume that final state interactions simply rotate the amplitudes in the complex plane. However, to get a good fit one needs to raiseDK transition amplitudes by (5–10)% over the BSW values and lowerD→π amplitudes by a similar amount. (ii) We show that all the data can also be understood in a coupled channel inelastic model. (iii) We also find that the Isgur, Scora, Grinstein and Wise (ISGW) model-form factors, if extrapolated to small momentum transfers (t) by a single pole formula, yield branching ratios too small in comparison to data. We propose an alternate scheme to interpolate between BSW form factors att=0 and ISGW form factors att=t max.  相似文献

$ \bar Bd \to \bar K*^0 $ μ + μ ? is a rare flavor-changing neutral-current decay. It proceeds via a bs quark transition and is sensitive to many classes of new physics model. In this article the theoretical framework relevant to making a measurement at LHCb, the precision flavor experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, will be introduced. Progress made towards using a full angular analysis to extract A FB, the forward-backward asymmetry of the μ pair, will be covered and its implications for the precision of the A FB zero-crossing-point measurement discussed.  相似文献

A detailed study of associated Standard Model Higgs production (WH and ) at the LHC (or a possible upgraded Tevatron collider), where the Higgs boson decays to pairs, is reported for 80m H <120 gev.=" even=" for=">b-tagging performances of the detector, the signal cannot be cleanly extracted from the background. For an integrated luminosity of 104 pb –1 andm H =100 GeV, one can expect at best 110 reconstructed decays fromWH production, above a resonant background of 150WZ events and a non-resonant background of 4800 events, and 100 reconstructed pairs (of which 50 from decay) from production, above a background of 4000 events. The main difficulty in extracting these two channels is in the expected low signal rate after reconstruction, the need for accurate control of all the background sources and for extremely goodb-tagging performance. Nevertheless, for a few years of running at a luminosity of 1033 cm–2s–1, channel may be the best way to probe the region 80m H <100>  相似文献

We consider the production of charmed baryons and mesons in the proton-antiproton binary reactions at the energies of the future $\bar P$ ANDA experiment. To describe these processes in terms of hadronic interaction models, one needs strong couplings of the initial nucleons with the intermediate and final charmed hadrons. Similar couplings enter the models of binary reactions with strange hadrons. For both charmed and strange hadrons we employ the strong couplings and their ratios calculated from QCD light-cone sum rules. In this method finite masses of c and s quarks are taken into account. Employing the Kaidalov??s quark-gluon string model with Regge poles and adjusting the normalization of the amplitudes in this model to the calculated strong couplings, we estimate the production cross-section of charmed hadrons. For $p\bar p \to \Lambda _c \bar \Lambda _c$ it can reach several tens of nb at p lab = 15 GeV, whereas the cross-sections of ?? c and D pair production are predicted to be smaller.  相似文献

Antilambda production is studied inK ? p interactions at 32 GeV/c. Both total and differential cross sections are presented. The inclusive \(\bar \Lambda \) production cross section amounts to 109±7 μb. A remarkable energy dependence is observed, σ( \(\bar \Lambda \) ) increasing by a factor of four between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Thep 2 distribution exhibits an exponential fall-off with a slope of 3.3±0.2 (GeV/c)?2. Most of the \(\bar \Lambda \) 's are emitted in the forward hemisphere. The invariantx distribution increases between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Data are presented for \(\bar \Lambda \) production inK - p→Λ \(\bar \Lambda \) +X K - p \(\bar \Lambda \) K n +X, andK - p \(\bar \Lambda \) p+X.  相似文献

We discuss the effect of CP-violatingZb $\bar b$ Zb $\bar b$ G andZb $\bar b$ γ couplings on the width Γ(Z→b $\bar b$ X). The presence of such couplings leads in a natural way to an increase of this width relative to the prediction of the standard model. Various strategies of a direct search for such CP-violating couplings by using CP-odd observables are outlined. The number ofZ bosons required to obtain significant information on the couplings in this way is well within the reach of present LEP experiments.  相似文献

We calculate the amplitude of $gg\to b\bar{b}$ production for the colour singlet, J z =0, di-gluon state at $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_{\mathrm{S}}^{2})$ order. We consider the cancellation and a realistic cut-off, of the infrared divergent terms. We show that the one-loop radiative QCD contributions effectively reduce the Born level result for the central exclusive $b\bar{b}$ cross section at the LHC. This process is essentially the only irreducible QCD background to the exclusive $H\to b\bar{b}$ signal.  相似文献

We present some remarks on the $\bar n$ p partial branching ratios in flight at low momenta of antineutrons measured by the OBELIX Collaboration. A comparison is made to the known branching ratios from the p $\bar p$ -atomic states. The branching ratio for the reaction $\bar n$ p → π+π0 is found to be suppressed in comparison to what follows from the p $\bar p$ data. It is also shown that there is no so-called dynamical I=0 amplitude suppression for the process N $\bar N$ K $\bar K$ .  相似文献

The nonlinear relation between the mean effective polarizability $ \bar \gamma $ of molecules and the local-field anisotropy in uniaxial liquid crystals is demonstrated. Stringent constraints on $ \bar \gamma $ from below, indicative of the dependence of $ \bar \gamma $ on the liquid-crystal state and the change of the “ $ \bar \gamma $ = const” paradigm, are established. The theoretical results are confirmed by experiments with nematic liquid crystals having high and low birefringences.  相似文献

A non-relativistic quark model is used to calculate the decay widths of baryonium states to \(N\bar N,N\bar \Delta \) , \(N\bar N,N\bar \Delta \) and \(\Delta \bar \Delta \) . Large widths are found and used to estimate the \(\bar pp\) and \(\bar pn\) elastic cross-sections. The couplings of baryonium states to two identical mesons are also investigated.  相似文献

Fermilab experiment E735 located at the CO intersection region of the $\sqrt s = 1.8$ TeV $p\bar p$ collider analysed over 900 Φ→K + K ? events. Measured were the transverse momentum spectrum, the correlation between the average transverse momentum <pt> and the charged particle multiphcityN c , as well as the probability of Φ production per charged track,N Φ /N c , versusN c . We have also made an estinate of the total inclusive cross section for Φ mesons, $\sigma (p\bar p \to \phi X) = 7.3 \pm 2.2 mb$ .  相似文献

It is investigated to what extent the well-known algebra \(\left\{ {Q^S ,\bar Q^S } \right\} = \gamma ^\mu P_\mu \) in the rigid supersymmetry theory holds in quantum supergravity: The anti-commutator \(\left\{ {Q_\alpha ^S ,\bar Q_\beta ^S } \right\} = \gamma ^m \tilde P_m \) defines an “internal” translation generator \(\tilde P_m \) , quite another from the “external” translation generatorP μ. It is, however, shown that those two operators give the same matrix elements between any two physical states aside from a proportional factor. Such a “miracle” is caused by some particular properties of global gauge transformation charge universal in gauge theories. These properties are fully clarified in a general manner.  相似文献

We have investigated the properties of off-shell \(\bar K\) K and \(\bar p\) p annihilations into pions by using the interactionsK ? p → Λ + pions at 4.2 GeV/c. The properties considered are multiplicities, hadronic temperatures and angular distributions. These properties appear more akin to those of \(\bar p\) p annihilations in flight than to that of \(\bar p\) p annihilation at rest despite the fact that the annihilation energy is small.  相似文献

We study the reactions J/ψ → $ \bar \Lambda $ K - p and J/ψ → $ \bar \Lambda $ π+π-Λ with a unitary chiral approach. We predict the ratio of the invariant-mass distributions of these two reactions at the Λ(1520) peak position, which is free of the unknown production mechanism and reflects only the properties of the Λ(1520) . An experimental measurement of this ratio will provide the couplings of the Λ(1520) to its decay channels, allowing to test the predictions of the chiral unitary approach on this resonance, which appears as dynamically generated in that approach.  相似文献

Preliminary results on the spin transfer to the Λ and $\bar \Lambda$ hyperons measured by the HERMES Collaboration are presented. Longitudinal spin transfer directed along the virtual-photon momentum in the Λ rest frame is found to be D LL Λ = 0.19 ± 0.04stat ± 0.02syst, the transverse component being compatible with zero. For $\bar \Lambda$ both longitudinal and transverse components are compatible with zero within statistical errors of ±0.1.  相似文献
