The electrochemical behaviour of glassy carbon electrodes coated with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) from three different sources and with different loadings has been compared, with a view to sensor applications. Additionally, poly(neutral red) (PNR) was electrosynthesised by potential cycling on bare glassy carbon and on MWCNT-modified glassy carbon electrodes, and characterised by cyclic voltammetry and scanning electron microscopy. Well-defined voltammetric responses were observed for hexacyanoferrate (II) oxidation with differences between the MWCNT types as well as from loading. The MWCNT and PNR/MWCNT-modified electrodes were applied to the oxidative determination of ascorbate, the electrocatalytic effects observed varying according to the type of nanotubes. Comparison was made with electrodes surface-modified by graphite powder. All modified electrode configurations with and without PNR were successfully employed for ascorbate oxidation at +0.05 V vs saturated calomel electrode with detection limits down to 4 μM; good operational stability and storage stability were also obtained.  相似文献

A simple and rapid method for morphine detection has been described based on electrochemical pretreatment of glassy carbon electrode (GCE) which was treated by anodic oxidation at 1.75 V, following potential cycling in the potential range from 0 V to 1.0 V vs. Ag|AgCl reference electrode. The sensitivity for morphine detection was improved greatly and the detection limit was 0.2 μM. The reproducibility of the voltammetric measurements was usually less than 3% RSD for six replicate measurements. Moreover, this method could readily discriminate morphine from codeine. And an electrochemical detection of morphine in spiked urine sample was succeeded with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A nonenzymatic electrochemical sensor for glucose and fructose was fabricated that contained a glassy carbon electrode modified with a copper oxide (CuO)/multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) nanocomposite. The electrochemical properties of the CuO/MWCNT‐modified glassy carbon electrode were investigated. Two distinguishable anodic peaks were observed around 0.30 and 0.44 V corresponding to the oxidation of glucose and fructose, respectively, at the surface of the modified electrode. The detection limits for glucose and fructose were both 0.04 mmol/L. The sensor was used to simultaneously determine the concentrations of glucose and fructose in hydrolyzed sucrose samples, and to measure glucose in blood serum samples, demonstrating its potential as a nonenzymatic carbohydrate sensor.  相似文献

This report described the direct voltammetric detection of peroxynitrite (ONOO) at a novel cyanocobalamin modified glassy carbon electrode prepared by electropolymeriation method. The electrochemical behaviors of peroxynitrite at the modified electrode were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that this new electrochemical sensor exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity to oxidation of peroxynitrite. The mechanism of catalysis was discussed. Based on electrocatalytic oxidation of peroxynitrite at the poly(cyanocobalamin) modified electrode, peroxynitrite was sensitively detected by differential pulse voltammetry. Under optimum conditions, the anodic peak current was linear to concentration of peroxynitrite in the range of 2.0 × 10−6 to 3.0 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 1.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 (S/N of 3). The proposed method has been applied to determination of peroxynitrite in human serum with satisfactory results. This poly(cyanocobalamin) modified electrode showed high selectivity and sensitivity to peroxynitrite determination, which could be used in quantitative detection of peroxynitrite in vivo and in vitro.  相似文献

In this study, an electrochemical ascorbic acid (AA) sensor was constructed based on a glassy carbon electrode modified with palladium nanoparticles supported on graphene oxide (PdNPs-GO). PdNPs with a mean diameter of 2.6 nm were homogeneously deposited on GO sheets by the redox reaction between PdCl42− and GO. Cyclic voltammetry and amperometric methods were used to evaluate the electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of AA in neutral media. Compared to a bare GC or a Pd electrode, the anodic peak potential of AA (0.006 V) at PdNPs-GO modified electrode was shifted negatively, and the large anodic peak potential separation (0.172 V) of AA and dopamine (DA), which could contribute to the synergistic effect of GO and PdNPs, was investigated. A further amperometric experiment proved that the proposed sensor was capable of sensitive and selective sensing of AA even in the presence of DA and uric acid. The modified electrode exhibited a rapid response to AA within 5 s and the amperometric signal showed a good linear correlation to AA concentration in a broad range from 20 μM to 2.28 mM with a correlation coefficient of R = 0.9991. Moreover, the proposed sensor was applied to the determination of AA in vitamin C tablet samples. The satisfactory results obtained indicated that the proposed sensor was promising for the development of novel electrochemical sensing for AA determination.  相似文献

A simple and rapid electrochemical method is developed for the determination of trace-level norfloxacin, based on the excellent properties of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The MWCNTs/Nafion film-coated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) is constructed and the electrochemical behavior of norfloxacin at the electrode is investigated in detail. The results indicate that MWCNTs modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited efficiently electrocatalytic oxidation for norfloxacin (NFX) with relatively high sensitivity, stability and life time. Under conditions of cyclic voltammetry, the current for oxidation of selected analyte is enhanced significantly in comparison to the bare GCE. The electrocatalytic behavior is further exploited as a sensitive detection scheme for the analyte determinations by linear sweep voltammetry (LSV). Under optimized condition in voltammetric method the concentration calibration range and detection limit (S/N=3) are 0.1-100 micromol/L and 5 x 10(-8)mol/L for NFX. The proposed method was successfully applied to NFX determination in tablets. The analytical performance of this sensor has been evaluated for detection of the analyte in urine as a real sample.  相似文献

The performance of preheated glassy carbon electrode modified with carbon nanotubes is described. First glassy carbon electrode is heated for 5 min at 50 °C, then abrasive immobilization of multiwall carbon nanotubes on a preheated glassy carbon electrode was achieved by gentle rubbing of electrode surface on a filter paper supporting carbon nanotubes. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs)-modified glassy carbon electrodes exhibit strong and stable electrocatalytic response toward thiols oxidation in wide pH range. These properties permit an important decrease in over voltage for the oxidation of thiocytosine, glutathione and l-cysteine, as well as a dramatic increase in the peak currents in comparison with bare glassy carbon electrode. Furthermore, the thiols amperometric response of the coated electrodes is extremely stable, with more than 95% of the initial activity after 30 min stirring of 0.1 mM thiols. The electrocatalytic behavior is further exploited as a sensitive detection scheme for thiols detection by hydrodynamic amperometry. The substantial decrease in the overvoltage of the thiols oxidation associated with a stable amperometric response and antifouling properties of nanotubes films allow the development of highly sensitive thiols sensor without using any redox mediator. Such ability of carbon nanotubes to promote the thiols electron transfer reaction, short response time (5 s) and long-term stability, low detection limit, extended linear concentration range, high sensitivity suggest great promise for thiols amperometric sensors and detector for chromatographic analysis of thiol derivatives.  相似文献

Femtomolar (fM) leveled lead ions were electrochemically detected using a bucky-gel coated glassy carbon electrode and differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry. The bucky-gel was composed of dithizone, ionic liquid (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate), and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The fabrication of the bucky-gel coated electrode was optimized. The modified electrode was characterized with voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and chronoamperometry. After the accumulation of lead ions into the bucky-gel modified electrode at −1.2 V vs. saturated calomel electrode (SCE) for 5 min in a pH 4.4 sodium acetate-acetate acid buffer solution, differential pulse anodic stripping voltammograms of the accumulated lead show an anodic wave at −0.58 V. The anodic peak current is detectable for lead ions in the concentration range from 1.0 μM down to 500 fM. The detection limit is calculated to be 100 fM. The proposed method was successfully applied for the detection of lead ions in lake water.  相似文献

An electrochemical sensor based on the electrocatalytic activity of functionalized graphene for sensitive detection of paracetamol is presented. The electrochemical behaviors of paracetamol on graphene-modified glassy carbon electrodes (GCEs) were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and square-wave voltammetry. The results showed that the graphene-modified electrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity to paracetamol. A quasi-reversible redox process of paracetamol at the modified electrode was obtained, and the over-potential of paracetamol decreased significantly compared with that at the bare GCE. Such electrocatalytic behavior of graphene is attributed to its unique physical and chemical properties, e.g., subtle electronic characteristics, attractive π-π interaction, and strong adsorptive capability. This electrochemical sensor shows an excellent performance for detecting paracetamol with a detection limit of 3.2 × 10−8 M, a reproducibility of 5.2% relative standard deviation, and a satisfied recovery from 96.4% to 103.3%. The sensor shows great promise for simple, sensitive, and quantitative detection and screening of paracetamol.  相似文献

A simple, sensitive, and reliable method for the voltammetric determination of bisphenol A(BPA) by using carboxylic group functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes(f-SWCNT)/carboxylic-functionalized poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PC4) complex modified glassy carbon electrode(GCE) has been successfully developed. The electrochemical behavior of BPA at the surface of the modified electrode is investigated by electrochemical techniques. The cyclic voltammetry results show that the as-prepared electrode exhibits strong catalytic activity toward the oxidation of BPA with a well-defined anodic peak at 0.623 V in PBS(0.1 mol/L,pH 7.0).The surface morphology of the 3D network of composite film is beneficial for the adsorption of analytes.Under the optimized conditions, the oxidation peak current is proportional to BPA concentration in the range between 0.099 and 5.794 μmol/L(R~2 = 0.9989),with a limit of detection of 0.032 μmol/L(S/N = 3).The enhanced performance of the sensor can be attributed to the excellent electrocatalytic property of/-SWCNT and the extraordinary conductivity of PC4.Furthermore,the proposed modified electrode displays high stability and good reproducibility. The good result on the voltammetric determination of BPA also indicates that the asfabricated modified electrode will be a good candidate for the electrochemical determination and analysis of BPA.  相似文献

A multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) film-coated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was used for the voltammetric determination of carbamazepine (CBZ). The results showed that this simple modified electrode exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of CBZ. The voltammetric response of CBZ at this film-modified electrode increased significantly when compared with that at a bare glassy carbon electrode and the sensor response was reproducible. The proposed method was applied to the quantification of CBZ in wastewater samples, collected in a municipal wastewater treatment plant, and in pharmaceutical formulations. The developed methodology yields results in accord with those obtained by chromatographic techniques commonly used in the quantification of pharmaceutical compounds in real samples. Good recoveries have been obtained and the limits of detection and quantification (40 and 140 nM, respectively) are among the lowest that have been reported to date for this pharmaceutical compound using voltammetric techniques.  相似文献

The study of electrochemical behavior and determination of thebaine (THEB), an opiate alkaloid, is described on a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) modified glassy carbon electrode by adsorptive stripping voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The results indicated that MWCNT electrodes remarkably enhance electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of THEB in a wide pH range of 2.0–10.0, and it shows two irreversible and diffusion-controlled anodic peaks. Then, a sensitive, simple, and time-saving cyclic voltammetric procedure was developed for the analysis of THEB in human urine samples. Under optimized conditions, the oxidation peak has two linear dynamic ranges of 1.0–80.0 and 100.0–600.0 μM, with detection limit of 0.23 μM and a precision of <4% (relative standard deviation for eight analysis).  相似文献

A sensitive and selective electrochemical method was developed for simultaneous determination of uric acid (UA), xanthine (XA) and hypoxanthine (HX) based on a poly (pyrocatechol violet)/carboxyl functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes composite film modified electrode. The preparation and basic electrochemical performance of the novel composite film modified glassy carbon electrode were investigated in details. The electrochemical behaviors of UA, XA and HX at the modified electrode were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that this new electrochemical sensor exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of the three analytes. The mechanism of catalysis was discussed. The anodic peaks of the three species were well defined with lowered oxidation potential and enhanced oxidation peak currents, so the modified electrode was used for simultaneous voltammetric measurement of UA, XA and HX by differential pulse voltammetry. Under the optimum conditions, the detection limits were 0.16 μmol L(-1) for UA, 0.05 μmol L(-1) for XA and 0.20 μmol L(-1) for HX, respectively (S/N of 3). The proposed method has been successfully applied to simultaneous determination of UA, XA and HX in human serum samples.  相似文献

C60-modified glassy carbon electrode has been found to exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity towards atenolol oxidation for its voltammetric determination at physiological pH. Lowering of overpotential associated with atenolol oxidation indicates electrocatalytic nature of electrode. Determination of atenolol was carried out at pH 7.2 at modified electrode and a well-defined oxidation peak has been observed ∼1040 mV versus Ag/AgCl electrode for atenolol oxidation. Calibration plot having good co-linearity with a correlation coefficient 0.997 was obtained in the concentration range of 0.25-1.5 mM atenolol and the sensitivity of the method has been found to be 8.58 μA mM−1. The detection limit is found to be 0.16 mM. The method developed is applicable for atenolol determination in pharmaceutical preparations and urine samples. The modified electrode showed a good surface coverage (∼85%) with C60.  相似文献

A simple but highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for the determination of 8-azaguanine based on graphene-Nafion nanocomposite film-modified glassy carbon electrode (G-Nafion/GCE) was reported. The electrochemical behaviors of 8-azaguanine at G-Nafion/GCE were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), square wave voltammetry (SWV), chronoamperometry (CA), and chronocoulometry (CC). The results showed that the electrochemical sensor exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity to 8-azaguanine. 8-Azaguanine can be effectively accumulated at G-Nafion/GCE and produce a sensitive anodic peak, due to the synergetic functions of graphene and Nafion. Under the selected conditions, the modified electrode in pH 1.98 Britton-Robinson buffer solution showed a linear voltammetric response to 8-azaguanine within the concentration range of 5.0 × 10?8~3.0 × 10?5 mol L?1, with the detection limit of 1.0 × 10?8 mol L?1. And, the method was also applied to detect 8-azaguanine in spiked human urine with wonderful satisfactory results.  相似文献

A novel amperometric sensor for the determination of sulfite was fabricated based on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/ferrocene-branched chitosan (CHIT-Fc) composites-covered glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The electrochemical behavior of the sensor was investigated in detail by cyclic voltammetry. The apparent surface electron transfer rate constant (Ks) and charge transfer coefficient (α) of the CHIT-Fc/MWCNTs/GCE were also determined by cyclic voltammetry, which were about 1.93 cm s−1 and 0.42, respectively. The sensor displayed good electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of sulfite. The peak potential for the oxidation of sulfite was lowered by at least 330 mV compared with that obtained at CHIT/MWCNTs/GCE. In optimal conditions, linear range spans the concentration of sulfite from 5 μM to 1.5 mM and the detection limit was 2.8 μM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The proposed method was used for the determination of sulfite in boiler water. In addition, the sensor has good stability and reproducibility.  相似文献

A vanadium oxide-modified glassy carbon electrode was simply and conveniently fabricated by casting vanadium tri(isoproxide) oxide (VO(OC3H7)3) and poly(propylene carbonate) (PPC) onto the glassy carbon electrode surface. The electrochemical properties of iodide at the VO(OC3H7)3-PPC film-modified glassy carbon electrode were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, and an anodic peak was observed at approximately +0.71 V (vs. SCE). Based on this, a sensitive and convenient electrochemical method was proposed for the determination of iodide. Flow injection amperometry (FIA) exhibited a good linear relationship with the concentration of iodide in the range of 5 × 10−7 mol L−1 and 1 × 10−3 mol L−1, and the detection limit was 1 × 10−7 mol L−1. Quantitative recovery of iodide in synthetic samples has been obtained and the interferences from different cations and anions have been studied. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of iodide in dry edible seaweed. The concentrations of iodide measured by this method are in good agreement with those obtained by spectrophotometric method.  相似文献

A novel ceria (CeO2)–ordered mesoporous carbon (OMC) modified electrode for the sensitive amperometric determination of hydrazine was reported. CeO2–OMC composites were synthesized via a hydrothermal method at a relatively low temperature (180 °C) and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microcopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The CeO2–OMC modified glassy carbon electrode was characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) and indicated good electrocatalytic effect to the oxidation of hydrazine. Under the optimized conditions, the present sensor could be used to measure hydrazine in wide linear range from 40 nM to 192 μM (R2 = 0.999) with a low detection limit of 12 nM (S/N = 3). Additionally, the sensor has been successfully applied to detect hydrazine in real water samples and the recoveries were between 98.2% and 105.6%. Eventually, the sensor exhibited an excellent stability and reproducibility as a promising method for determination of hydrazine.  相似文献

Mixtures of gold-platinum nanoparticles (Au-PtNPs) are fabricated consecutively on a multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) coated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) by the electrodeposition method. The surface morphology and nature of the hybrid film (Au-PtNPs/MWCNT) deposited on glassy carbon electrodes is characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) techniques. The modified electrode is used as a new and sensitive electrochemical sensor for the voltammetric determination of cefotaxime (CFX). The electrochemical behavior of CFX is investigated on the surface of the modified electrode using linear sweep voltammetry (LSV). The results of voltammetric studies exhibited a considerable improvement in the oxidation peak current of CFX compared to glassy carbon electrodes individually coated with MWCNT or Au-PtNPs. Under the optimized conditions, the modified electrode showed a wide linear dynamic range of 0.004-10.0 μM with a detection limit of 1.0 nM for the voltammetric determination of CFX. The modified electrode was successfully applied for the accurate determination of trace amounts of CFX in pharmaceutical and clinical preparations.  相似文献

We report electrochemical composites of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with poly(vinylferrocene) (PVF). The polymeric architecture is prepared by first immobilising the MWCNTs onto a glassy carbon substrate, which acts to introduce electrical current into the composite, with the MWCNTs acting as 'molecular wires'. PVF films of varying surface coverages can be obtained by simply controlling the time a constant potential of +0.7 V (vs. Ag) wire is applied; with the characteristics of the derivatised MWCNTs examined by cyclic voltammetry and scanning electron microscopy. The application of the composite for glucose determination in aqueous solutions was investigated using linear sweep voltammetry, where it was found that the composites supported on glassy carbon substrates are superior to bare glassy carbon electrodes polymerised with PVF, likely due to the comparatively higher number of electrocatalytic centres in the former. This protocol was successfully transferred to prepare a PVF-MWCNT-paste electrode which was applied to glucose detection in diluted laked horse blood. The obtained results show potential and promising practical application for the polymer-derivatised MWCNT-modified electrodes in amperometric sensors for glucose determination.  相似文献
