We have studied the anisotropic two-dimensional nearest-neighbor Ising model with competitive interactions in both uniform longitudinal field HH and transverse magnetic field ΩΩ. Using the effective-field theory (EFT) with correlation in cluster with N=1N=1 spin we calculate the thermodynamic properties as a function of temperature with values HH and ΩΩ fixed. The model consists of ferromagnetic interaction JxJx in the xx direction and antiferromagnetic interaction JyJy in the yy direction, and it is found that for H/Jy∈[0,2]H/Jy[0,2] the system exhibits a second-order phase transition. The thermodynamic properties are obtained for the particular case of λ=Jx/Jy=1λ=Jx/Jy=1 (isotropic square lattice).  相似文献

We introduce a network evolution process motivated by the network of citations in the scientific literature. In each iteration of the process a node is born and directed links are created from the new node to a set of target nodes already in the network. This set includes mm “ambassador” nodes and ll of each ambassador’s descendants where mm and ll are random variables selected from any choice of distributions plpl and qmqm. The process mimics the tendency of authors to cite varying numbers of papers included in the bibliographies of the other papers they cite. We show that the degree distributions of the networks generated after a large number of iterations are scale-free and derive an expression for the power-law exponent. In a particular case of the model where the number of ambassadors is always the constant mm and the number of selected descendants from each ambassador is the constant ll, the power-law exponent is (2l+1)/l(2l+1)/l. For this example we derive expressions for the degree distribution and clustering coefficient in terms of ll and mm. We conclude that the proposed model can be tuned to have the same power law exponent and clustering coefficient of a broad range of the scale-free distributions that have been studied empirically.  相似文献

We discuss three Hamiltonians, each with a central-field part H0H0 and a PT-symmetric perturbation igzigz. When H0H0 is the isotropic Harmonic oscillator the spectrum is real for all gg because HH is isospectral to H0+g2/2H0+g2/2. When H0H0 is the Hydrogen atom then infinitely many eigenvalues are complex for all gg. If the potential in H0H0 is linear in the radial variable rr then the spectrum of HH exhibits real eigenvalues for 0<g<gc0<g<gc and a PT phase transition at gcgc.  相似文献

We demonstrate the emergence of non-Abelian fusion rules for excitations of a two dimensional lattice model built out of Abelian degrees of freedom. It can be considered as an extension of the usual toric code model on a two dimensional lattice augmented with matter fields. It consists of the usual C(Zp)C(Zp) gauge degrees of freedom living on the links together with matter degrees of freedom living on the vertices. The matter part is described by a nn dimensional vector space which we call HnHn. The ZpZp gauge particles act on the vertex particles and thus HnHn can be thought of as a C(Zp)C(Zp) module. An exactly solvable model is built with operators acting in this Hilbert space. The vertex excitations for this model are studied and shown to obey non-Abelian fusion rules. We will show this for specific values of nn and pp, though we believe this feature holds for all n>pn>p. We will see that non-Abelian anyons of the quantum double of C(S3)C(S3) are obtained as part of the vertex excitations of the model with n=6n=6 and p=3p=3. Ising anyons are obtained in the model with n=4n=4 and p=2p=2. The n=3n=3 and p=2p=2 case is also worked out as this is the simplest model exhibiting non-Abelian fusion rules. Another common feature shared by these models is that the ground states have a higher symmetry than ZpZp. This makes them possible candidates for realizing quantum computation.  相似文献

We present a detailed analysis of the contribution of small-angle Nambu–Goldstone boson (phonon) collisions to the shear viscosity, ηη, in a superfluid atomic Fermi gas close to the unitarity limit. We show that the experimental values of the shear viscosity coefficient to entropy ratio, η/sη/s, obtained at the lowest reached temperature can be reproduced assuming that phonons give the leading contribution to ηη. The phonon contribution is evaluated considering 1↔212 processes and taking into account the finite size of the experimental system. In particular, for very low temperatures, T?0.1TFT?0.1TF, we find that phonons are ballistic and the contribution of phonons to the shear viscosity is determined by the processes that take place at the interface between the superfluid and the normal phase. This result is independent of the detailed form of the phonon dispersion law and leads to two testable predictions: the shear viscosity should correlate with the size of the optical trap and it should decrease with decreasing temperature. For higher temperatures the detailed form of the phonon dispersion law becomes relevant and, within our model, we find that the experimental data for η/sη/s can be reproduced assuming that phonons have an anomalous dispersion law.  相似文献

We study the oil displacement and production behavior in an isothermal thin layered reservoir model subjected to water flooding. We use the CMG’s (Computer Modelling Group  ) numerical simulators to solve mass balance equations. The influences of the viscosity ratio (m≡μoil/μwatermμoil/μwater) and the inter-well (injector-producer) distance rr on the oil production rate C(t)C(t) and the breakthrough time tbrtbr are investigated. Two types of reservoir configuration are used, namely one with random porosities and another with a percolation cluster structure. We observe that the breakthrough time follows a power-law of mm and rr, tbr∝rαmβtbrrαmβ, with α=1.8α=1.8 and β=−0.25β=0.25 for the random porosity type, and α=1.0α=1.0 and β=−0.2β=0.2 for the percolation cluster type. Moreover, our results indicate that the oil production rate is a power law of time. In the percolation cluster type of reservoir, we observe that P(t)∝tγP(t)tγ, with γ=−1.81γ=1.81, where P(t)P(t) is the time derivative of C(t)C(t). The curves related to different values of mm and rr may be collapsed suggesting a universal behavior for the oil production rate.  相似文献

Generally, in literature, easy-axis single ion anisotropy and easy-axis exchange anisotropy was treated in indistinct way. In this work we propose to perform a comparative study of the effects of these two easy-axis anisotropies on the behavior of the magnetization and the critical temperature (Tc)(Tc) in the 2D classical Heisenberg antiferromagnetic model. In order to study the low-temperature thermodynamics of this model, we should consider the contribution of anisotropic spin waves, using a self-consistent harmonic approximation (SCHA) theory. We compare the predictions of SCHA with numerical simulations on L×LL×L square lattices using Monte Carlo (MC) simulations, which include effects due to all thermodynamically allowed excitations. Our SCHA results are in good agreement with our MC simulations results and have shown that the strong KK limit gives two different Ising-like behavior. In the exchange anisotropic case, the dependence of TcTc on anisotropic parameter KK becomes linear and in the single-ion anisotropic case, TcTc becomes independent of KK. Also, using MC simulations and finite size scaling, we show that the critical exponents in the two anisotropic case are compatible with the 2D Ising values α=0.125α=0.125 and γ=1.75γ=1.75.  相似文献

Large flocks of wild beings can have coordinated motion with neither leading center nor global information. The Vicsek model and its new versions explained such collective behavior of self-propelled agents with the mechanism of un-weighted influence of neighbors and global visual field (GVF), which may not always fit the reality. In the present work, we take both exponential (λλ) neighbor weight (ENW) and restricted visual field (RVF) into account, and investigate the combinatory effect of them. Based on this mechanism, in most cases of our simulation, stationary direction consensus VaVa exhibits a maximum or decreases with VFVF, and a minimum convergence time TminTmin appears in RVF, which demonstrates that GVF is not necessary for coordinated motion, while RVF matched ENW would be reasonable. Moreover, we simulated various recipes for optimizing VaVa and TT in unfavorable cases, and found critical points separating inverse λλ-dependent variations of TT. The present work may be useful in improving the efficiency of direction consensus of large flocks of artificial individuals besides the understanding of biological collective motion in nature.  相似文献

A multi-parametric version of the nonadditive entropy SqSq is introduced. This new entropic form, denoted by Sa,b,rSa,b,r, possesses many interesting statistical properties, and it reduces to the entropy SqSq for b=0b=0, a=r:=1−qa=r:=1q (hence Boltzmann–Gibbs entropy SBGSBG for b=0b=0, a=r→0a=r0). The construction of the entropy Sa,b,rSa,b,r is based on a general group-theoretical approach recently proposed by one of us, Tempesta (2016). Indeed, essentially all the properties of this new entropy are obtained as a consequence of the existence of a rational group law, which expresses the structure of Sa,b,rSa,b,r with respect to the composition of statistically independent subsystems. Depending on the choice of the parameters, the entropy Sa,b,rSa,b,r can be used to cover a wide range of physical situations, in which the measure of the accessible phase space increases say exponentially with the number of particles NN of the system, or even stabilizes, by increasing NN, to a limiting value.  相似文献

Fluxmetric and magnetometric demagnetizing factors, NfNf and NmNm, for cylinders along the axial direction are numerically calculated as functions of material susceptibility χχ and the ratio γγ of length to diameter. The results have an accuracy better than 0.1% with respect to min(Nf,m,1-Nf,m)min(Nf,m,1-Nf,m) and are tabulated in the range of 0.01?γ?5000.01?γ?500 and -1?χ<∞-1?χ<. NmNm along the radial direction is evaluated with a lower accuracy from NmNm along the axis and tabulated in the range of 0.01?γ?10.01?γ?1 and -1?χ<∞-1?χ<. Some previous results are discussed and several applications are explained based on the new results.  相似文献

We studied damage spreading in a Driven Lattice Gas (DLG) model as a function of the temperature TT, the magnitude of the external driving field EE, and the lattice size. The DLG model undergoes an order–disorder second-order phase transition at the critical temperature Tc(E)Tc(E), such that the ordered phase is characterized by high-density strips running along the direction of the applied field; while in the disordered phase one has a lattice-gas-like behavior. It is found that the damage always spreads for all the investigated temperatures and reaches a saturation value DsatDsat that depends only on TT. DsatDsat increases for T<Tc(E=∞)T<Tc(E=), decreases for T>Tc(E=∞)T>Tc(E=) and is free of finite-size effects. This behavior can be explained as due to the existence of interfaces between the high-density strips and the lattice-gas-like phase whose roughness depends on TT. Also, we investigated damage spreading for a range of finite fields as a function of TT, finding a behavior similar to that of the case with E=∞E=.  相似文献

We introduce a new class of growth models, with a surface restructuring mechanism in which impinging particles may dislodge suspended particles, previously aggregated on the same column in the deposit. The flux of these particles is controlled through a probability pp. These systems present a crossover, for small values of pp, from random to correlated (KPZ) growth of surface roughness, which is studied through scaling arguments and Monte Carlo simulations on one- and two-dimensional substrates. We show that the crossover characteristic time t×t× scales with pp according to t×∼p−yt×py with y=(n+1)y=(n+1) and that the interface width at saturation WsatWsat scales as Wsat∼p−δWsatpδ with δ=(n+1)/2δ=(n+1)/2, where nn is either the maximal number of broken bonds or of dislodged suspended particles. This result shows that the sets of exponents y=1y=1 and δ=1/2δ=1/2 or y=2y=2 and δ=1δ=1 found in all previous works focusing on systems with this same type of crossover are not universal. Using scaling arguments, we show that the bulk porosity PP of the deposits scales as P∼py−δPpyδ for small values of pp. This general scaling relation is confirmed by our numerical simulations and explains previous results present in literature.  相似文献

I examine the role of entropy in the transition from incoherence to phase synchronisation in the Kuramoto model of NN coupled phase oscillators on a general undirected network. In a Hamiltonian ‘action-angle’ formulation, auxiliary variables JiJi combine with the phases θiθi to determine a conserved system with a 2N2N dimensional phase space. In the vicinity of the fixed point for phase synchronisation, θi≈θjθiθj, which is known to be stable, the auxiliary variables JiJi exhibit instability  . This manifests Liouville’s Theorem in the phase synchronised regime in that contraction in the θiθi parts of phase space are compensated for by expansion in the auxiliary dimensions. I formulate an entropy rate based on the projection of the JiJi onto eigenvectors of the graph Laplacian that satisfies Pesin’s Theorem. This leads to the insight that the evolution to phase synchronisation of the Kuramoto model is equivalent to the approach to a state of monotonically increasing entropy. Indeed, for unequal intrinsic frequencies on the nodes, the networks that achieve the closest to exact phase synchronisation are those which enjoy the highest entropy production. I compare numerical results for a range of networks.  相似文献

Let (M,g)(M,g) be a noncompact complete Bach-flat manifold with positive Yamabe constant. We prove that (M,g)(M,g) is flat if (M,g)(M,g) has zero scalar curvature and sufficiently small L2L2 bound of curvature tensor. When (M,g)(M,g) has nonconstant scalar curvature, we prove that (M,g)(M,g) is conformal to the flat space if (M,g)(M,g) has sufficiently small L2L2 bound of curvature tensor and L4/3L4/3 bound of scalar curvature.  相似文献

The magnetization reversal behavior of Permalloy nanowires has been investigated using a magneto-optic Kerr effect setup. Nanowires with various widths, w=250w=250 nm to 3 μm and a thickness of t=10t=10 nm were fabricated by electron-beam lithography and subsequent lift-off. Furthermore, similar nanowires but with a thickness gradient along the nanowire axis have been prepared to investigate the influence of the gradient on the magnetic domain wall propagation. Magnetization hysteresis loops recorded on individual nanowires without a gradient are compared to corresponding wires with a thickness gradient. The dependence of the coercive field, HcHc vs. t/wt/w shows a linear behavior for wires without a gradient. However, wires with a gradient display a more complex crossover behavior. We find a plateau in the HcHc vs. t/wt/w curve at values of ww, where a transformation from transverse to vortex domain wall type is expected.  相似文献

A protocol for transferring an unknown single qubit state evidences quantum features when the average fidelity of the outcomes is, in principle, greater than 2/32/3. We propose to use the probabilistic and unambiguous state extraction scheme   as a mechanism to redistribute the fidelity in the outcome of the standard teleportation when the process is performed with an XX-state as a noisy quantum channel. We show that the entanglement of the channel is necessary but not sufficient in order for the average fidelity fXfX to display quantum features, i.e., we find a threshold CXCX for the concurrence of the channel. On the other hand, if the mechanism for redistributing fidelity is successful then we find a filterable outcome with average fidelity fX,0fX,0 that can be greater than fXfX. In addition, we find the threshold concurrence of the channel CX,0CX,0 in order for the average fidelity fX,0fX,0 to display quantum features and surprisingly, the threshold concurrence CX,0CX,0 can be less than CXCX. Even more, we find some special cases for which the threshold values become zero.  相似文献

Creation of coherent superpositions in quantum systems with NaNa states in the lower set and NbNb states in the upper set is presented. The solution is drived by using the Morris–Shore transformation, which step by step reduces the fully coupled system to a three-state ΛΛ-like system and a set of decoupled states. It is shown that, for properly timed pulse, robust population transfer from an initial ground state (or superposition of MM ground states) to an arbitrary coherent superposition of the ground states can be achieved by coincident pulses and/or STIRAP techniques.  相似文献
