The molecular structures of the isatin Schiff bases of S-methyldithiocarbazate (Hisasme) and S-benzyldithiocarbazate (Hisasbz) have been determined by X-ray diffraction and their complexes of general formula [ML2n(solvate) [M = Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+; L = anionic forms of Hisasme or Hisasbz; solvate = DMF, DMSO; n = 1, 2] and [Sn(L)Ph2Cl]·nMeOH (n = 0, 1) have been synthesized and characterized by a variety of physicochemical techniques and X-ray diffraction. The bis-ligand complexes, [Ni(isasbz)2]·2DMSO and [Co(isasme)2]·DMF have a six-coordinate, distorted octahedral geometry with the two uninegatively charged tridentate ONS ligands coordinated to the metal ions meridionally via the amide O-atoms, the azomethine nitrogen atoms and the thiolate sulfur atoms. By contrast, the crystal structure of [Zn(isasbz)2]·2DMF shows a four-coordinate distorted tetrahedral geometry with the two Schiff bases coordinated as NS bidentate ligands via the azomethine nitrogen atoms and the thiolate sulfur atoms. Steric constraints of the rigid tridentate ligands lead to unusual ‘pseudo-coordination’ of the O-donors which occupy sites close to the metal but too distant to be considered as true coordinate bonds. The crystal structures of the tin(IV) complexes [SnLPh2Cl]·nMeOH (L = isasme and isasbz; n = 0, 1) also show that the Schiff bases act as monoanionic bidentate NS chelating agents coordinating the tin(IV) ion via the azomethine nitrogen atoms and the thiolate sulfur atoms, the tin atom in each complex is five-coordinate with a highly distorted geometry intermediate of square pyramidal and trigonal bipyramidal. Again Sn?O contacts are weak and do not qualify as coordinate bonds.  相似文献

Four new nickel(II) complexes, [{Ni(L)}2], [NiL · HPyr], [NiL · HIm] and [Ni(HL)2] · H2O, derived from diacetylmonoxime-S-benzyldithiocarbazonate (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, field desorption and electrospray ionization mass spectra, UV–Vis, infrared absorption spectra, as well as 1H NMR spectra. X-ray molecular structures showed that the Ni(II) in both [NiL · HPyr] and [NiL · HIm] are in a distorted square planar environment and is coordinated to the dianionic NNS tridentate hydrazoneoxime ligand via deprotonated oximate nitrogen, hydrazone imine nitrogen, and thiolate sulphur. The fourth coordination sites are occupied, respectively, by the pyrazole and imidazole nitrogens. The oximate O1 of [NiL · HPyr] is involved in intramolecular hydrogen bond with the pyrazole NH proton as well as intermolecular hydrogen bond pyrazole C6H proton, forming a helical chain propagating along the b-axis. The structure is stabilized by a set of π?π and CH?π interactions. The molecular units in [NiL · HIm] are linked together by hydrogen bond formation between the oximate oxygen and imidazole NH proton, giving rise to an infinite zigzag chain extended along the a-axis. The chains are interconnected by π?π and CH?O interactions. In [Ni(HL)2] · H2O, the Ni(II) is in a distorted octahedral environment. The two mononegative hydrazoneoxime ligands are coordinated in the meridional configuration where the two thiol sulphur atoms and the two oxime nitrogen atoms are cis to each other, while the imine nitrogen atoms are trans. The oxime proton O2H is involved in a reciprocal bifurcated hydrogen bond formation with both N2 and S3 of the adjacent molecule giving rise to hydrogen bonded dimer. This dimeric structure is further stabilized by a pair of reciprocal CH?O interactions. A one dimensional chain of alternating dimeric unit and water molecule propagating along the c-axis is formed via hydrogen bond formation between the oxime O1 oxygen and the bridged water molecule proton.  相似文献

Mixed-ligand complexes of general formula, [Cu(NNS)(sac)] (NNS′ = S-benzyl-β-N-(2-acetylpyrid-2-yl)methylenedithiocarbazate, NNS″ = S-benzyl-β-N-(2-benzoylpyrid-2-yl)methylenedithiocarbazate and NNS? = S-benzyl-β-N-(6-methylpyrid-2-yl)methylenedithio-carbazate, sac = the saccharinate anion) have been synthesized by reacting [Cu(sac)2(H2O)4] · 2H2O with the appropriate ligands in ethanol and characterized by various physico-chemical techniques. Magnetic and spectral evidence indicate that the complexes are four-coordinate in which the Schiff bases coordinate as NNS ligands and the sac- anion coordinates as a unidentate N-donor ligand. An X-ray crystallographic structural analysis of [Cu(NNS′)(sac)] shows that the complex has a distorted square-planar geometry with the Schiff base coordinated to the copper (II) ion as a uninegatively charged tridentate chelating agent via the pyridine nitrogen atom, the azomethine nitrogen atom and the thiolate sulphur atom while the fourth coordination position is occupied by the N-bonded saccharinate anion. The complexes have been evaluated for their biological activities against selected pathogens and cancer cell lines. They display weak activity against the pathogenic bacteria and fungi. The complexes were highly active against the leukemic cell line (HL-60) but only [Cu(NNS′)(sac)] was found to exhibit strong cytotoxicity against the ovarian cancer cell line (Caov-3). All complexes were inactive against the breast cancer cell line (MCF-7).  相似文献

Preparations, crystal structures, electronic and CD spectra are reported for new chiral Schiff base complexes, bis(N-R-1-naphthylethyl-3,5-dichlorosalicydenaminato)nickel(II), copper(II), and zinc(II). Nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes adopt a square planar trans-[MN2O2] coordination geometry with Δ(R,R) configuration. While zinc(II) complex adopts a compressed tetrahedral trans-[MN2O2] one with Δ(R,R) configuration and exhibits an emission band around 21 000 cm−1 (λex = 27 000 cm−1). Absorption and CD spectra were recorded in N,N′-dimethylformamide, acetone, methanol, chloroform, and toluene solutions to discuss relationships between spectral shifts of d–d and π–π bands by structural changes of the complexes and physical properties of the solvents. Moreover, we have attempted to investigate conformational changes of the complexes induced by photoisomerization of azobenzene, 4-hydroxyazobenzene, or 4-aminoazobenzene, in various solutions under different conditions. Weak intermolecular interactions between complexes and azobenzenes are important for the phenomenon by conformational changes of bulky π-conjugated moieties of the ligands.  相似文献

New complexes of the general formula, [M(H2dap4NMetsc)(H2O)2](NO3)2·H2O (M = Zn2+, Cd2+; H2dap4NMetsc = 2,6-diacetylpyridinebis(4N-methylthiosemicarbazone) and [Sn((dap4NMetsc)X2] (X = Ph, Cl and I) (dap4NMetsc = the doubly deprotonated form of 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(4N-methylthiosemicarbazone) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by a variety of physico-chemical techniques. X-ray crystallographic structure determination shows that in the zinc and cadmium complexes, the bis(thiosemicarbazone) ligand coordinates as a neutral N3S2 pentadentate chelating agent through the two azomethine nitrogen atoms, the pyridine nitrogen atom and the two thione sulfur atoms. The N3S2 donors of the ligand occupy the equatorial plane and the two aqua ligands occupy the sixth and seventh axial positions of the seven-coordinated cadmium(II) and zinc(II) ions. In the tin(IV) complexes, however, the thiosemicarbazone is coordinated to the tin(IV) ion as a dinegatively charged pentadentate chelating agent via the pyridine nitrogen atom, the two azomethine nitrogen atoms and the two thiolate sulfur atoms. The two apical positions of the seven-coordinate tin(IV) ion are occupied by either phenyl, chlorido or iodido ligands. In each of the complexes, the overall geometry adopted by the metal ion may be considered as a distorted pentagonal-bipyramid.  相似文献

Reduction by NaBH4 of the imine functions of (5,7,7,13-tetramethyl-13-nitro-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradec-4-ene)-nickel(II) and -copper(II), and of their 13-ethyl-5,7,7-trimethyl-homologues, yield the nitro-substituted cyclic tetraamine cations (5,5,7,13-tetramethyl-13-nitro-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane)-nickel(II) and -copper(II), [M(neh)]2+, and (13-ethyl-5,5,7-trimethyl-homologues, [M(nph)]2+, respectively. The nickel(II) cations form square–planar, singlet ground, state salts with poorly coordinating anions and octahedral, triplet ground state, compounds with additional ligands, trans-β-[Ni(neh)A2], A = Cl, NCS and trans-β-[Ni(neh)A2](ClO4)2, X = NH3, MeCN, all with nitrogen configuration III, 1R,4R,8S,11S = β. With oxalate the chain-polymeric compound catena-trans-β-[Ni(neh)(μ-C2O4)]n · 3n(H2O) is formed. Folded macrocycle compounds cis-α-[Ni(neh)(C5H7O2)]ClO4 and cis-α-[{Ni(neh)}2(C2O4)](ClO4)2 are formed with the chelates acetylacetonate and oxalate, with configuration 1R,4R,8R,11R = α. These react with HClO4 to form metastable α-[Ni(neh)](ClO4)2 with retention of configuration. The copper(II) cations form crimson salts with poorly coordinating anions and compounds of the type β-[Cu(neh)A]ClO4 of varying shades of blue with coordinating anions. Structures of singlet ground state square–planar nickel(II) compounds β-[Ni(neh)](ClO4)2 · H2O, β-[Ni(neh)](ClO4)2, β-[Ni(neh)]2[ZnCl3(OH2)]2[ZnCl4] · H2O and α-[Ni(neh)](ClO4)2, the triplet ground state chain-polymeric compound catena-trans-β-[Ni(neh)(μ-C2O4)]n · 3n(H2O) and of square–pyramidal β-[Cu(nph)Cl]ClO4 are reported.  相似文献

The coordination behaviour of a series of pyridyl azamacrocyclic ligands, some of them containing cyanomethyl and cyanoethyl pendant-arms, towards Mn(II) ion was studied. All the complexes were characterized by microanalysis, LSI mass spectrometry, IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy and magnetic measurements. Crystal structures of [MnL1][MnBr4] (1), [MnL3][MnBr4] · 2CH3CN (3), [Mn2L5Br4] · 2CH3CN (5) and [Mn2L6Br4] (6) complexes have been determined. The X-ray studies show the presence of an ionic mixed octahedral-tetrahedral complex for 1 and 2, with the manganese ion of the cation complex, endomacrocyclicly coordinated by the six nitrogen donor atoms from the macrocyclic backbone in a distorted octahedral geometry. Instead, the complexes 5 and 6 are dinuclear, and both manganese ions are coordinated by one pyridinic and two amine nitrogen atoms from the macrocyclic backbone and two bromide ions, being the geometry around the metal better described as distorted square pyramidal. In all cases, the nitrile pendant-arms do not show coordination to the metal ion.  相似文献

Two mononuclear Co(II) complexes based upon 2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)phenol, abbreviation Hsalbim ligand, have been prepared and studied. The structure of Hsalbim and [Co(salbim)2] have been confirmed by X-ray structure analysis. The second cobalt(II) complex matches the formula [Co(salbim)2]·(Hsalbim)·MeOH assuming a co-crystallization of one neutral ligand. The electronic spectra are consistent with the tetrahedral pattern. Magnetic susceptibility measurements down to T = 2 K along with the magnetization data until B = 7 T show that the Co(II) complexes are high-spin with a considerable zero-field splitting of the 4B1(D2d) term: D/hc = 67 and 55 cm−1, respectively.  相似文献

An investigation of the MII/X/L [MII = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn; X = Cl, Br, I, NCS, NO3, N3, CH3COO; L = 1-methyl-4,5-diphenylimidazole] general reaction system towards the detailed study of the intermolecular interactions utilized for controlling the supramolecular organization and the structural consequences on the structures produced has been initiated. Three representative complexes with the formulae [Co(NO3)2(L)2] (1), [Zn(NO3)2(L)2] (2) and [Co(NCS)2(L)2]·EtOH (3·EtOH) have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods and single-crystal X-ray analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 are isomorphous (tetragonal, I41cd) with their metal ions in a severely distorted octahedral Co/ZnN2O4 environment, while 3·EtOH crystallizes in P21/c with a tetrahedral CoN4 coordination. The structural analysis of 1, 2 and 3·EtOH reveals a common mode of packing among neighbouring ligands (expressed through intramolecular ππ interactions between the 4,5-diphenylimidazole moieties), enhancing thus the rigidity and stability of the complexes. The bent coordination of the two isothiocyanates in 3 [Co–NCS angles of 173.8(2) and 160.8(2)°] seems to be caused by intermolecular hydrogen bonding and crystal packing effects.  相似文献

The potentially pentadentate chelate 2,6-diacetylpyridine-bis(N-methyl-S-methyldithiocarbazate) (Nmedapsme) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction. Its reactions with nickel(II) salts did not lead to pentadentate coordinated ligand complexes but ternary complexes of general formula, [Ni(Nmedapsme)(nmesme)L]X·H2O (L = Br, I; X = I, BF4) where Nmedapsme binds as a tridentate and nmesme = N-methyl-S-methyldithiocarbazate. The related ternary nickel(II) complexes of formula, Ni(Nmedapsme)(nmetsc)Br2 has also been prepared and characterized. X-ray crystal structures of [Ni(Nmedapsme)(nmesme)I]I·H2O and [Ni(Nmedapsme)(nmesme)Br]BF4·H2O revealed that, in these complexes, the Nmedapsme ligand acts as a tridentate NNN donor while the distal S-donors are not coordinated. The bidentate (NS) ligand, nmesme coordinates to the nickel(II) ion via the amino nitrogen and the thione sulfur atoms, the sixth coordination site is occupied by an anion. In both complexes, the nickel(II) ion adopts a distorted octahedral configuration. The complex [Cu(nmesme)2(ONO2)]NO3 was obtained from an unsuccessful attempt to complex copper(II) with Nmedapsme. Hydrolysis of the parent Schiff base Nmedapsme occurred during complexation. An X-ray crystallographic structure analysis shows that the complex, [Cu(nmesme)2(ONO2)]NO3 has an approximately square-pyramidal geometry with the two nmesme ligands coordinated to the copper(II) ion as NS bidentate chelating agents via the amino nitrogen and thione sulfur atoms and the fifth coordination position of copper(II) is occupied by a monodentate nitrate ligand.  相似文献

A new semicarbazone (HL) based on di-2-pyridyl ketone and its three cadmium(II) complexes [CdL(CH3COO)]2 · 2CH3OH (1), Cd(HL)Br2 (2) and [Cd2L2N3]2 · H2O (3) were synthesized and characterized by different physicochemical techniques. The complex, [CdL(CH3COO)]2 · 2CH3OH (1) is having a dimeric structure. In complexes 1 and 3, the ligand moieties are coordinated as monoanionic (L) forms and in complex 2, the ligand is coordinated as neutral (HL) one. The coordination geometry around cadmium(II) in 1 is distorted octahedral, as obtained by X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

The structures of [Cu (S2CN (CH2)4)2] (1) and [Zn2(S2CN‐(CH2)4)4] (2) have been determined by X‐ray crystallography analysis. They are all isomorphous and triclinic, space group of P1?, with Z = 1. The lattice parameters of compound 1 is: a = 0.63483(2) nm, b = 0.74972(3) nm, c=0.78390(1) mn, α = 75.912(2)°, β = 78.634(2)° and γ = 86.845(2)°; compound 2: a = 0.78707(6) nm, b=0.79823(6) nm, c = 1.23246(9) nm, α = 74.813(2)°, β = 73.048(2)° and γ = 88.036(2)°. The copper atom is located on a crystallographic inversion center and zinc atom lies across centers of symmetry. The Cu(II) ion has a square‐planar geometry while Zn(II) has a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The thermal gravity (TG) data indicate that no structural transitions in the two compounds were abserved and the decomposition products can adsorb gas. Also they all have a high thermal stability.  相似文献

Ten copper(II) complexes {[CuL1Cl] (1), [CuL1NO3]2 (2), [CuL1N3]2 · 2/3H2O (3), [CuL1]2(ClO4)2 · 2H2O (4), [CuL2Cl]2 (5), [CuL2N3] (6), [Cu(HL2)SO4]2 · 4H2O (7), [Cu(HL2)2] (ClO4)2 · 1/2EtOH (8), [CuL3Cl]2 (9), [CuL3NCS] · 1/2H2O (10)} of three NNS donor thiosemicarbazone ligands {pyridine-2-carbaldehyde-N(4)-p-methoxyphenyl thiosemicarbazone [HL1], pyridine-2-carbaldehyde-N(4)-2-phenethyl thiosemicarbazone [HL2] and pyridine-2-carbaldehyde N(4)-(methyl), N(4)-(phenyl) thiosemicarbazone [HL3]} were synthesized and physico-chemically characterized. The crystal structure of compound 9 has been determined by X-ray diffraction studies and is found that the dimer consists of two square pyramidal Cu(II) centers linked by two chlorine atoms.  相似文献

The reactions of nickel(II), copper(II), and zinc(II) acetate salts with a potentially tetradentate biphenyl-bridged bis(pyrrole-2-yl-methyleneamine) ligand yielded three complexes with different coordination geometries. X-ray crystal structural analysis reveals that in the nickel(II) complex each nickel is five-coordinate, distorted trigonal bipyramid. In the copper(II) complex, each copper is four-coordinate, between square planar and tetrahedral. In the zinc(II) complex, each zinc is four-coordinate with a distorted tetrahedral geometry and the molar ratio of the zinc and ligand is 1 : 2.  相似文献

A dinuclear copper(Ⅱ) complex[Cu2(TATP)2(L-Leu)2(CIO4)2]2·2H2Owas synthesized and characterized, where, TATP=1,4,8,9-tetraazatriphenylene, and L-Leu=L-leucinate. The complex was crystallized in the triclinic space group P1, with two independent molecules in a unit cell. Two Cu(Ⅱ) ions in each complex [Cu2(TATP)2(L-Leu)2(CIO4)2] molecule were found to be in different coordination geometries, i.e., Cu2 or Cu4 of a distorted square-pyramidal geometry coordinated with two nitrogens of TATP, the amino nitrogen and one carboxylate oxygen of L-Leu and one oxygen of perchlorate, and Cul or Cu3 with an octahedral geometry coordinated with the above stated similar coordinated atoms, and another carboxylate oxygen of L-Leu coordinating to Cu2 or Cu4. The complex can interact with CT-DNA by an intercalative mode and cleave pBR322 DNA in the presence of ascorbate.  相似文献

New cadmium(II) complexes of empirical formulae, [Cd(dpksme)X] (dpksme = anionic form of the Schiff base; X = NCS, Cl, I) and [Cd(dpksme)2] · 0.5MeOH, respectively have been prepared and characterized. The mono-ligated cadmium(II) complexes, [Cd(dpksme)X] are four-coordinate and tetrahedral but the bis-ligand complex, [Cd(dpksme)2] · 0.5MeOH is six-coordinate and octahedral. The crystal and molecular structure of [Cd(dpksme)2] · 0.5MeOH has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The complex has a distorted mer-octahedral structure in which the ligands are coordinated as uninegatively charged tridentate chelating agents via the pyridine nitrogen atoms, the azomethine nitrogen atoms and the thiolate sulfur atoms. The distortion from regular octahedral geometry is ascribed to the restricted bite angles of the ligands. The Schiff base and its cadmium(II) complexes exhibit mild antibacterial activities against Shigella dysenteriae, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. They are also mildly fungitoxic against the phytopathogenic fungi, Alternaria alternata and Macrophomina phaseolina.  相似文献

In an attempt to prepare binary and ternary compounds, we have obtained two molecular complexes [Ni(MEBIDA or MOBIDA)(H2O)3nH2O (n = 0 or 1) and two iso-type salts [Ni(Him)6][Ni(MEBIDA or MOBIDA)2]·4H2O [MEBIDA = N-(p-methylbenzyl)iminodiacetate(2−) and MOBIDA = N-(p-methoxybenzyl)iminodiacetate(2−) ligands, Him = imidazole]. Our results are discussed with regard to related copper(II) and nickel(II) compounds. The reasons for which these chelating ligands produce nickel(II) salts instead of ternary compounds remain unclear since other iminodiacetate-like ligands give true ternary Ni(II) compounds with imidazole and other N-heterocyclic ligands.  相似文献

Cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes containing 5,12-di(4-bromophenyl)-7,14-dimethyl-1,2,4,8,9,11-hexaazacyclotetradeca-7,14-diene-3,10-dione (H2L1) and 5,12-diphenyl-7,14-dimethyl-1,2,4,8,9,11-hexaazacyclotetradeca-7,14-diene-3,10-dione (H2L2) have been synthesized. All complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, MALDI TOF-MS spectrometry, and electronic absorption spectroscopy. The crystal structures of two compounds, [Cu2(H2L1)Cl4]n and [NiL2], were determined by X-ray powder diffraction. In the polymeric [Cu2(H2L1)Cl4]n, the Cu2Cl4 units and H2L1 molecules are situated on inversion centers. Each Cu(II) has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environment formed by N and O from H2L1 [Cu–N 2.340(14)?Å, Cu–O 1.952(11)?Å], two bridging chlorides [Cu–Cl 2.332(5), 2.279(5)?Å] and one terminal chloride [Cu–Cl 2.320(6)?Å]. In the [NiL2] complex, the Ni(II) situated on inversion center has a distorted square-planar coordination environment formed by four nitrogens from L2 [Ni–N 1.860(11), 1.900(11)?Å].  相似文献

Compounds [HQ]2[Hg(L)2] and [HQ][PhHg(L)] [where HQ = diisopropylammonium cation; L = pspa, fspa, tspa, where p = 3-(phenyl), f = 3-(2-furyl), t = 3-(2-thienyl), and spa = 2-sulfanylpropenoato] have been prepared by the reaction of mercury(II) acetate or phenylmercury(II) acetate with the corresponding acid in the presence of diisopropylamine in ethanol. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, FAB mass spectrometry and IR and NMR (1H, 13C) spectroscopy. The crystal structures of the [HQ]2[Hg(L)2] compounds show the presence of diisopropylammonium cations and [Hg(L)2]2− anions. In each anion the Hg atom is in an HgO2S2 environment and this can be described as nido-tbp. The crystal structures of the [HQ][PhHg(L)] compounds show the presence of diisopropylammonium cations and [PhHg(L)] anions in which the Hg atom adopts an HgCOS distorted T-environment. The NMR data suggest that the coordination mode of the ligand L2− determined by X-ray diffractometry in the solid remains in solution.  相似文献

A yellow compound which was crystallised from a solution of (6,8,8,14,16,16-hexamethyl-1,5,9,13-tetraazacyclohexadeca-5,13-diene)bis(isothiocyanato)nickel(II) in aqueous zinc(II) chloride has cations with singlet ground state nickel(II) in square-planar coordination by the nitrogen atoms of the macrocycle. The asymmetric unit has two similar cations. The N4 group of one cation is near coplanar (r.m.s. displacements ±0.009(1) Å, with Ni displaced by 0.048(1) Å from this plane) while the other cation has significant tetrahedral twisting of the N4 group (r.m.s. displacements of N atoms ±0.126(2) Å, with Ni displaced by 0.027(2) Å from this plane). The mean Ni–N distances are Ni–Namine = 1.950(6) and Ni–Nimine = 1.897(6) Å. Both cations have N-meso configurations with saddle conformations, with the substituted chelate rings in boat conformations tilted to one side of the NiN4 ‘plane’ and the unsubstituted chelate rings tilted to the other side, one in a boat conformation and the other with the central methylene group disordered, the components forming boat {s.o.f. 0.70(1) and 0.74(1) for the two cations} and chair conformation chelate rings. The counter-ions have tetrahedrally coordinated zinc(II) ions, one as [ZnCl2(NCS)2]2− ions and the other with one ligand site with disordered Cl {s.o.f. 0.78(1)} and NCS ligands, i.e. with disordered [ZnCl2(NCS)2]2− and [ZnCl(NCS)3]2− ions, with an overall composition of [Ni(trans-Me6[16]diene)][ZnCl1.9(NCS)2.1].  相似文献
