We study the two-dimensional Gross-Pitaevskii theory of a rotating Bose gas in a disc-shaped trap with Dirichlet boundary conditions, generalizing and extending previous results that were obtained under Neumann boundary conditions. The focus is on the energy asymptotics, vorticity and qualitative properties of the minimizers in the parameter range |log ε|≪Ωε −2|log ε|−1 where Ω is the rotational velocity and the coupling parameter is written as ε −2 with ε≪1. Three critical speeds can be identified. At \varOmega = \varOmegac1 ~ |loge|\varOmega=\varOmega_{\mathrm{c_{1}}}\sim |\log\varepsilon| vortices start to appear and for |loge| << \varOmega < \varOmegac2 ~ e-1|\log\varepsilon|\ll\varOmega< \varOmega_{\mathrm{c_{2}}}\sim \varepsilon^{-1} the vorticity is uniformly distributed over the disc. For \varOmega 3 \varOmega c2\varOmega\geq\varOmega _{\mathrm{c_{2}}} the centrifugal forces create a hole around the center with strongly depleted density. For Ωε −2|log ε|−1 vorticity is still uniformly distributed in an annulus containing the bulk of the density, but at \varOmega = \varOmegac3 ~ e-2|loge|-1\varOmega=\varOmega_{\mathrm {c_{3}}}\sim\varepsilon ^{-2}|\log\varepsilon |^{-1} there is a transition to a giant vortex state where the vorticity disappears from the bulk. The energy is then well approximated by a trial function that is an eigenfunction of angular momentum but one of our results is that the true minimizers break rotational symmetry in the whole parameter range, including the giant vortex phase.  相似文献

This paper considers Hardy–Lieb–Thirring inequalities for higher order differential operators. A result for general fourth-order operators on the half-line is developed, and the trace inequality

The photo-degradation of green-, yellow-, orange- and red-emitting CdTe nanocrystals (NCs) in sol–gel SiO2 films was investigated quantitatively by measuring the PL efficiency as a function of the irradiation intensity. The degradation behaviors of the NCs depended strongly on the particle size and the surface state. Green- and yellow-emitting CdTe NCs exhibited a red-shifted PL peak wavelength and decreased PL efficiency after irradiation. In contrast, the PL peak wavelength of red-emitting CdTe NCs remained unchange and their PL efficiency increased. Furthermore, the degraded degree of green-emitting NCs depended linearly on the irradiation intensity ( \textrate \textconstant k1 = ( 1.10±0.04 ) ×10 - 6 \textphoton ) \left( {{\text{rate}}\,{\text{constant}}\,{k_{{1}}} = \left( {{1}.{1}0\pm 0.0{4}} \right) \times {1}{0^{{ - {6}}}}\,{\text{photon}}} \right) , whereas hat of red-emitting NCs showed a quadratic dependence ( \textrate \textconstant k2 = ( 2.26±0.1 ) ×10 - 26( \textc\textm2 \texts )/\textphoton ) \left( {{\text{rate}}\,{\text{constant}}\,{k_{{2}}} = \left( {{2}.{26}\pm 0.{1}} \right) \times {1}{0^{{ - {26}}}}\left( {{\text{c}}{{\text{m}}^{{2}}}\,{\text{s}}} \right)/{\text{photon}}} \right) at room temperature. This is ascribed to the different surface state of green- and red-emitting CdTe NCs.  相似文献

To date, the fastest lithium ion-conducting solid electrolytes known are the perovskite-type ABO3 oxide, with A = Li, La and B = Ti, lithium lanthanum titanate (LLTO) Li3x La( 2 \mathord
/ \vphantom 2 3 3 ) - x [¯]( 1 \mathord/ \vphantom 1 3 3 ) - x TiO3 {\rm Li}_{3x} {\rm La}_{\left( {{2 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {2 3}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 3}} \right) - x} \Box_{\left( {{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 3}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 3}} \right) - x} {\rm TiO}_3 and its structurally related materials. In this formula, [¯]\Box represents the vacancy. These materials have attracted much attention due to their application in lithium ion batteries used as energy sources in microelectronic and information technologies. In addition to the well-established simple cubic, tetragonal and orthorhombic perovskite type distorted cell structures, the hexagonal unit cell was reported in a recent study for Li0.5 La0.5 TiO3 − δ , ( 0 £ d £ 0.06 )\left( {0 \le \delta \le 0.06} \right). We investigated the ionic conductivity in hexagonal La0.5 Li0.5 TiO3{\rm La}_{0.5} {\rm Li}_{0.5}\- {\rm TiO}_3 by molecular dynamics. We confirmed that ionic conductivity in this compound is due to the motion of lithium ions. We show that both Arrhenius and Vogel–Tamman–Fulcher-type relationships could be used to express the high-temperature conductivity of this compound. From our results, hexagonal LLTO exhibits almost 1.7–1.9 ×10 − 3 S cm − 1 at room temperature. Thus, due to its high ionic conductivity, this compound is expected to show some advantages in comparison with the best conductors of this family, for usual applications of ionic conductors.  相似文献

DOPA–melanin (DOPA = 3,4-dihydroxyphenyl-alanine) complexes with Cu(II) cations were studied by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. After the addition of metal cations to the melanin polymer, the EPR spectra parameters were measured. The axial g-factor values are g || = 2.20 and g ^ = 2.0 5 g_{ \bot } = 2.0 5 . Since $ g_{||} > g_{ \bot } > 2 $ g_{||} > g_{ \bot } > 2 , the ground state orbital of the unpaired electron of the Cu(II) complex is | x 2  -   y 2 ñ \left| {{{x}}^{ 2} } \right. \, - \, \left. {{{y}}^{ 2} } \right\rangle . Square coordination of these cations in melanin is proposed. The influence of the Cu(II) concentration in solution used during synthesis on the concentration of melanin radicals was investigated. Cu(II) cations causes the decrease in the paramagnetic center concentration in melanin. The Cu(II) EPR spectra are not saturated within the microwave power range of 0.7–70 mW used in our experiment.  相似文献

Using the Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter equations, we calculate the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon am\ensuremath a_\mu , using a phenomenological model for the gluon and quark-gluon interaction. We find am=(84 ±13)×10-11\ensuremath a_\mu=(84 \pm 13)\times 10^{-11} for meson exchange, and am = (107 ±2 ±46)×10-11\ensuremath a_\mu = (107 \pm 2 \pm 46)\times 10^{-11} for the quark loop. The former is commensurate with past calculations; the latter much larger due to dressing effects. This leads to a revised estimate of am=116 591 865.0(96.6)×10-11\ensuremath a_\mu=116 591 865.0(96.6)\times 10^{-11} , reducing the difference between theory and experiment to ≃ 1.9s \sigma .  相似文献

The new intermediate entangled state |η;θ〉 is proposed by virtue of IWOP technique, which is the common eigenvector of [([^(x)]1 - [^(x)]2)cosq-([^(p)]1 - [^(p)]2)sinq][(\hat{x}_{1} - \hat{x}_{2})\cos\theta -(\hat{p}_{1} - \hat{p}_{2})\sin\theta ] and [([^(x)]1 +[^(x)]2)sinq+ ([^(p)]1 + [^(p)]2)cosq][(\hat{x}_{1} +\hat{x}_{2})\sin\theta + (\hat{p}_{1} + \hat{p}_{2})\cos\theta ]. The squeezing transformation operator, Hadamard transformation operator, Fresnel transformation operator and Radon transform operator are constructed by |η;θ〉.  相似文献

We consider a modification of the three-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations and other hydrodynamical evolution equations with space-periodic initial conditions in which the usual Laplacian of the dissipation operator is replaced by an operator whose Fourier symbol grows exponentially as e|k|/kd{{{\rm e}^{|k|/k_{\rm d}}}} at high wavenumbers |k|. Using estimates in suitable classes of analytic functions, we show that the solutions with initially finite energy become immediately entire in the space variables and that the Fourier coefficients decay faster than e-C(k/kd) ln(|k|/kd){{{\rm e}^{-C(k/k_{\rm d})\,{\rm ln}(|k|/k_{\rm d})}}} for any C < 1/(2 ln 2). The same result holds for the one-dimensional Burgers equation with exponential dissipation but can be improved: heuristic arguments and very precise simulations, analyzed by the method of asymptotic extrapolation of van der Hoeven, indicate that the leading-order asymptotics is precisely of the above form with C = C * = 1/ ln 2. The same behavior with a universal constant C * is conjectured for the Navier–Stokes equations with exponential dissipation in any space dimension. This universality prevents the strong growth of intermittency in the far dissipation range which is obtained for ordinary Navier–Stokes turbulence. Possible applications to improved spectral simulations are briefly discussed.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of magnetic entropy change and refrigerant capacity have been calculated for a maximum field change of Δ H=30 kOe in as-quenched ribbons of the ferromagnetic shape memory alloy Ni50.4Mn34.9In14.7 around the structural reverse martensitic transformation and magnetic transition of austenite. The ribbons crystallize into a single-phase austenite with the L21-type crystal structure and Curie point of 284 K. At 262 K austenite starts its transformation into a 10-layered structurally modulated monoclinic martensite. The first- and second-order character of the structural and magnetic transitions was confirmed by the Arrott plot method. Despite the superior absolute value of the maximum magnetic entropy change obtained in the temperature interval where the reverse martensitic transformation occurs (|\varDelta SMmax|=7.2 J kg-1 K-1)(|\varDelta S_{\mathrm{M}}^{\max}|=7.2\mbox{ J}\,\mbox{kg}^{-1}\,\mbox{K}^{-1}) with respect to that obtained around the ferromagnetic transition of austenite (|\varDelta SMmax|=2.6 J kg-1 K-1)(|\varDelta S_{\mathrm{M}}^{\max}|=2.6\mbox{ J}\,\mbox{kg}^{-1}\,\mbox{K}^{-1}), the large average hysteretic losses due to the effect of the magnetic field on the phase transformation as well as the narrow thermal dependence of the magnetic entropy change make the temperature interval around the ferromagnetic transition of austenite of a higher effective refrigerant capacity (RCmagneff=95J kg-1\mathrm{RC}^{\mathrm{magn}}_{\mathrm{eff}}=95\mbox{J}\,\mbox{kg}^{-1} versus RCstructeff=60J kg-1)\mathrm{RC}^{\mathrm{struct}}_{\mathrm{eff}}=60\mbox{J}\,\mbox{kg}^{-1}).  相似文献

We have studied the dynamics of photoexcited tungsten cluster anions Wn-\mathrm{W}_{n}^{-} (n=3,4,…,14) by means of time-resolved two-photon photodetachment spectroscopy. At an excitation energy of h ν pump=1.56 eV the photoinduced dynamics is mainly dominated by fast electronic relaxation processes. For the smallest clusters, i.e., W3-\mathrm{W}_{3}^{-}, W4-\mathrm{W}_{4}^{-}, and W5-\mathrm{W}_{5}^{-}, individual relaxation channels have been identified and resolved on a timescale well below 100 fs. The time constants for the decay of nascent and secondary electrons have been deduced from a Bloch model. Complete thermalization takes place for all clusters on a timescale of ∼1 ps.  相似文献

Using chiral perturbation theory we calculate for pion Compton scattering the isospin-breaking effects induced by the difference between the charged and neutral pion mass. At one-loop order this correction is directly proportional to mp±2-mp02\ensuremath{m_{\pi^\pm}^2-m_{\pi^0}^2} and free of (electromagnetic) counterterm contributions. The differential cross-section for charged pion Compton scattering p-g? p-g\ensuremath{\pi^-\gamma \rightarrow \pi^-\gamma} gets affected (in backward directions) at the level of a few permille. At the same time the isospin-breaking correction leads to a small shift of the pion polarizabilities by d(ap- bp) @ 1.3 ·10-5\ensuremath{\delta(\alpha_\pi- \beta_\pi) \simeq 1.3 \cdot 10^{-5}} fm^3. In case of the low-energy gg? p0p0\ensuremath{\gamma\gamma \rightarrow \pi^0\pi^0} reaction isospin breaking manifests itself through a cusp effect at the p+p-\ensuremath{\pi^+\pi^-} threshold. We give an improved estimate for it based on the empirical p \pi p \pi -scattering length difference a0-a2\ensuremath{a_0-a_2} .  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the global wellposedness of the 3-D incompressible anisotropic Navier-Stokes equations with initial data in the critical Besov-Sobolev type spaces B{\mathcal{B}} and B-\frac12,\frac124{\mathcal{B}^{-\frac12,\frac12}_4} (see Definitions 1.1 and 1.2 below). In particular, we proved that there exists a positive constant C such that (ANS ν ) has a unique global solution with initial data u0 = (u0h, u03){u_0 = (u_0^h, u_0^3)} which satisfies ||u0h||B exp(\fracCn4 ||u03||B4) £ c0n{\|u_0^h\|_{\mathcal{B}} \exp\bigl(\frac{C}{\nu^4} \|u_0^3\|_{\mathcal{B}}^4\bigr) \leq c_0\nu} or ||u0h||B-\frac12,\frac124 exp(\fracCn4 ||u03||B-\frac12,\frac1244) £ c0n{\|u_0^h\|_{\mathcal{B}^{-\frac12,\frac12}_{4}} \exp \bigl(\frac{C}{\nu^4} \|u_0^3\|_{\mathcal{B}^{-\frac12,\frac12}_{4}}^4\bigr)\leq c_0\nu} for some c 0 sufficiently small. To overcome the difficulty that Gronwall’s inequality can not be applied in the framework of Chemin-Lerner type spaces, [(Lpt)\tilde](B){\widetilde{L^p_t}(\mathcal{B})}, we introduced here sort of weighted Chemin-Lerner type spaces, [(L2t, f)\tilde](B){\widetilde{L^2_{t, f}}(\mathcal{B})} for some apropriate L 1 function f(t).  相似文献

We calculate the one-photon loop radiative corrections to the neutral pion-pair photoproduction process p-g ?p-p0p0\pi^-\gamma \ensuremath \rightarrow\pi^-\pi^0\pi^0 . At leading order this reaction is governed by the chiral pion-pion interaction. Since the chiral p+ \pi^{+}_{} p- \pi^{-}_{} ? \rightarrow p0 \pi^{0}_{} p0 \pi^{0}_{} contact vertex depends only on the final-state invariant mass it factors out of all photon loop diagrams. We give analytical expressions for the multiplicative correction factor R ~ a/2p\ensuremath R\sim \alpha/2\pi arising from eight classes of contributing one-photon loop diagrams. An electromagnetic counterterm has to be included in order to cancel the ultraviolet divergences generated by the photon loops. Infrared finiteness of the virtual radiative corrections is achieved (in the standard way) by including soft photon radiation below an energy cut-off l \lambda . The radiative corrections to the total cross-section vary between +2% and -2% for center-of-mass energies from threshold up to 7mp\ensuremath 7m_{\pi} . We study also the radiative corrections to the p0p0\ensuremath \pi^0\pi^0 mass spectrum.  相似文献

A possibility of KLOE-2 experiment to measure the width \varGammap0 ?gg\varGamma_{\pi^{0} \to\gamma\gamma} and the π 0 γγ form factor F(Q 2) at low invariant masses of the virtual photon in the space-like region is considered. This measurement is an important test of the strong interaction dynamics at low energies. The feasibility is estimated on the basis of a Monte-Carlo simulation. The expected accuracy for \varGammap0 ?gg\varGamma_{\pi^{0} \to\gamma\gamma} is at a per cent level, which is better than the current experimental world average and theory. The form factor will be measured for the first time at Q 2≤0.1 GeV2 in the space-like region. The impact of these measurements on the accuracy of the pion-exchange contribution to the hadronic light-by-light scattering part of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon is also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we generalize the explicit formulas for constant mean curvature (CMC) immersion of hypersurfaces of Euclidean spaces, spheres and hyperbolic spaces given in Perdomo (Asian J Math 14(1):73–108, 2010; Rev Colomb Mat 45(1):81–96, 2011) to provide explicit examples of several families of immersions with constant mean curvature and non constant principal curvatures, in semi-Riemannian manifolds with constant sectional curvature. In particular, we prove that every h ? [-1,-\frac2?{n-1}n)h\in[-1,-\frac{2\sqrt{n-1}}{n}) can be realized as the constant curvature of a complete immersion of S1n-1×\mathbbRS_1^{n-1}\times \mathbb{R} in the (n + 1)-dimensional de Sitter space S1n+1\hbox{\bf S}_1^{n+1}. We provide 3 types of immersions with CMC in the Minkowski space, 5 types of immersion with CMC in the de Sitter space and 5 types of immersion with CMC in the anti de Sitter space. At the end of the paper we analyze the families of examples that can be extended to closed hypersurfaces.  相似文献

We consider a Gaussian diffusion X t (Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process) with drift coefficient γ and diffusion coefficient σ 2, and an approximating process YetY^{\varepsilon}_{t} converging to X t in L 2 as ε→0. We study estimators [^(g)]e\hat{\gamma}_{\varepsilon}, [^(s)]2e\hat{\sigma}^{2}_{\varepsilon} which are asymptotically equivalent to the Maximum likelihood estimators of γ and σ 2, respectively. We assume that the estimators are based on the available N=N(ε) observations extracted by sub-sampling only from the approximating process YetY^{\varepsilon}_{t} with time step Δ=Δ(ε). We characterize all such adaptive sub-sampling schemes for which [^(g)]e\hat{\gamma}_{\varepsilon}, [^(s)]2e\hat{\sigma}^{2}_{\varepsilon} are consistent and asymptotically efficient estimators of γ and σ 2 as ε→0. The favorable adaptive sub-sampling schemes are identified by the conditions ε→0, Δ→0, (Δ/ε)→∞, and NΔ→∞, which implies that we sample from the process YetY^{\varepsilon}_{t} with a vanishing but coarse time step Δ(ε)≫ε. This study highlights the necessity to sub-sample at adequate rates when the observations are not generated by the underlying stochastic model whose parameters are being estimated. The adequate sub-sampling rates we identify seem to retain their validity in much wider contexts such as the additive triad application we briefly outline.  相似文献

Percolation theory is extensively studied in statistical physics and mathematics with applications in diverse fields. However, the research is focused on systems with only one type of links, connectivity links. We review a recently developed mathematical framework for analyzing percolation properties of realistic scenarios of networks having links of two types, connectivity and dependency links. This formalism was applied to study Erdős-Rényi (ER) networks that include also dependency links. For an ER network with average degree [`(k)]\bar{k} that is composed of dependency clusters of size s, the fraction of nodes that belong to the giant component, P , is given by P=ps-1[1-exp(-[`(k)]pP) ]sP_{\infty}=p^{s-1}[1-\exp{(-\bar{k}pP_{\infty})} ]^{s} where 1−p is the initial fraction of randomly removed nodes. Here, we apply the formalism to the study of random-regular (RR) networks and find a formula for the size of the giant component in the percolation process: P =p s−1(1−r k ) s where r is the solution of r=p s (r k−1−1)(1−r k )+1, and k is the degree of the nodes. These general results coincide, for s=1, with the known equations for percolation in ER and RR networks respectively without dependency links. In contrast to s=1, where the percolation transition is second order, for s>1 it is of first order. Comparing the percolation behavior of ER and RR networks we find a remarkable difference regarding their resilience. We show, analytically and numerically, that in ER networks with low connectivity degree or large dependency clusters, removal of even a finite number (zero fraction) of the infinite network nodes will trigger a cascade of failures that fragments the whole network. Specifically, for any given s there exists a critical degree value, [`(k)]min\bar{k}_{\min}, such that an ER network with [`(k)] £ [`(k)]min\bar{k}\leq \bar{k}_{\min} is unstable and collapse when removing even a single node. This result is in contrast to RR networks where such cascades and full fragmentation can be triggered only by removal of a finite fraction of nodes in the network.  相似文献

Rutile filled PTFE composites have been fabricated through Sigma Mixing, Extrusion, Calendering and Hot pressing (SMECH) process. Dielectric constant (er¢\varepsilon_{r}') and loss tangent (tan δ) of filled composites at microwave frequency region were measured by waveguide cavity perturbation technique using a Vector Network Analyzer. The temperature coefficient of dielectric constant (ter\tau_{\varepsilon_{r}'}) was measured in the 0–100°C temperature range. In order to tailor the temperature coefficient of dielectric constant of the composite, thermoplastic Poly (ether ether ketone) (PEEK) has been used as a secondary polymer. Flexible laminate having a dielectric constant, er¢ ~ 10.4\varepsilon_{r}'\sim10.4, loss tangent tan δ∼0.0045 and ter ~ -40 ppm/K\tau_{\varepsilon_{r}'}\sim-40\mbox{ ppm}/\mbox{K} was realized in Polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE)/rutile composites with the addition of 8 wt% PEEK. The reduction in ter\tau_{\varepsilon_{r}'} is mainly attributed to the positive ter\tau_{\varepsilon_{r}'} of PEEK and increased interface region in the composites as a result of the PEEK addition.  相似文献

In order to improve the chemical stability of BaCeO3, Ti4+ was introduced into B site of BaCeO3 to modify the chemical stability. XRD test demonstrates that \textBaC\texte0.6\textT\texti0.2\textY0.2\textO3 - d {\text{BaC}}{{\text{e}}_{0.6}}{\text{T}}{{\text{i}}_{0.2}}{{\text{Y}}_{0.2}}{{\text{O}}_{3 - \delta }} (BCTY) keeps its original pervoskite-type structure at a high doping level of 20%. After exposure in 94% N2 + 3% CO2 + 3% H2O at 700 °C for 10 h, BCTY exhibited adequate chemical stability while decomposition was found in \textBaC\texte0.8\textY0.2\textO3 - d {\text{BaC}}{{\text{e}}_{0.8}}{{\text{Y}}_{0.2}}{{\text{O}}_{3 - \delta }} (BCY). Accordingly, the conductivity of BCTY reaches 0.0072 S/cm at 700 °C in humidified hydrogen which is a little lower than BCY (0.0085). Besides, BCTY displayed better sintering characteristics than BCY at high temperatures and the relative density reaches 96.4% and 94.8%, respectively. The two samples also exhibited similar thermal expansion behavior from 30 to 1,000 °C. A fuel cell with BCTY as electrolyte exhibited 244 mW/cm2 at 700 °C and the stable short-term performance further proved the stability of BCTY.  相似文献
