We prove that if for a continuous map f on a compact metric space X, the chain recurrent set, R(f) has more than one chain component, then f does not satisfy the asymptotic average shadowing property. We also show that if a continuous map f on a compact metric space X has the asymptotic average shadowing property and if A is an attractor for f, then A is the single attractor for f and we have A=R(f). We also study diffeomorphisms with asymptotic average shadowing property and prove that if M is a compact manifold which is not finite with dimM=2, then the C1 interior of the set of all C1 diffeomorphisms with the asymptotic average shadowing property is characterized by the set of Ω-stable diffeomorphisms. 相似文献

A subset S⊆V in a graph G=(V,E) is a [j,k]-set if, for every vertex v∈V?S, j≤|N(v)∩S|≤k for non-negative integers j and k, that is, every vertex v∈V?S is adjacent to at least j but not more than k vertices in S. In this paper, we focus on small j and k, and relate the concept of [j,k]-sets to a host of other concepts in domination theory, including perfect domination, efficient domination, nearly perfect sets, 2-packings, and k-dependent sets. We also determine bounds on the cardinality of minimum [1, 2]-sets, and investigate extremal graphs achieving these bounds. This study has implications for restrained domination as well. Using a result for [1, 3]-sets, we show that, for any grid graph G, the restrained domination number is equal to the domination number of G. 相似文献

By means of a certain module V and its tensor powers in a finite tensor category, we study a question of whether the depth of a Hopf subalgebra R of a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra H is finite. The module V is the counit representation induced from R to H, which is then a generalized permutation module, as well as a module coalgebra. We show that if in the subalgebra pair either Hopf algebra has finite representation type, or V is either semisimple with R∗ pointed, projective, or its tensor powers satisfy a Burnside ring formula over a finite set of Hopf subalgebras including R, then the depth of R in H is finite. One assigns a nonnegative integer depth to V, or any other H-module, by comparing the truncated tensor algebras of V in a finite tensor category and so obtains upper and lower bounds for depth of a Hopf subalgebra. For example, a relative Hopf restricted module has depth 1, and a permutation module of a corefree subgroup has depth less than the number of values of its character. 相似文献

Let (Ut,Vt) be a bivariate Lévy process, where Vt is a subordinator and Ut is a Lévy process formed by randomly weighting each jump of Vt by an independent random variable Xt having cdf F. We investigate the asymptotic distribution of the self-normalized Lévy process Ut/Vt at 0 and at ∞. We show that all subsequential limits of this ratio at 0 (∞) are continuous for any nondegenerate F with finite expectation if and only if Vt belongs to the centered Feller class at 0 (∞). We also characterize when Ut/Vt has a non-degenerate limit distribution at 0 and ∞. 相似文献

This paper treats some variational principles for solutions of inhomogeneous p -Laplacian boundary value problems on exterior regions U?RN with dimension N?3. Existence-uniqueness results when p∈(1,N) are provided in a space E1,p(U) of functions that contains W1,p(U). Functions in E1,p(U) are required to decay at infinity in a measure theoretic sense. Various properties of this space are derived, including results about equivalent norms, traces and an Lp-imbedding theorem. Also an existence result for a general variational problem of this type is obtained. 相似文献

A dominating set D is called a total dominating set if every vertex in D is adjacent to a vertex in D. The domination (resp. total domination) number of G is the smallest cardinality of a dominating (resp. total dominating) set of G. The bondage (resp. total bondage) number of a nonempty graph G is the smallest number of edges whose removal from G results in a graph with larger domination (resp. total domination) number of G. The reinforcement (resp. total reinforcement) number of G is the smallest number of edges whose addition to G results in a graph with smaller domination (resp. total domination) number. This paper shows that the decision problems for the bondage, total bondage, reinforcement and total reinforcement numbers are all NP-hard. 相似文献

Suppose X is a real q-uniformly smooth Banach space and F,K:X→X are Lipschitz ?-strongly accretive maps with D(K)=F(X)=X. Let u∗ denote the unique solution of the Hammerstein equation u+KFu=0. An iteration process recently introduced by Chidume and Zegeye is shown to converge strongly to u∗. No invertibility assumption is imposed on K and the operators K and F need not be defined on compact subsets of X. Furthermore, our new technique of proof is of independent interest. A group-word w is called concise if whenever the set of w-values in a group G is finite it always follows that the verbal subgroup w(G) is finite. More generally, a word w is said to be concise in a class of groups X if whenever the set of w-values is finite for a group G∈X, it always follows that w(G) is finite. P. Hall asked whether every word is concise. Due to Ivanov the answer to this problem is known to be negative. Dan Segal asked whether every word is concise in the class of residually finite groups. In this direction we prove that if w is a multilinear commutator and q is a prime-power, then the word wq is indeed concise in the class of residually finite groups. Further, we show that in the case where w=γk the word wq is boundedly concise in the class of residually finite groups. It remains unknown whether the word wq is actually concise in the class of all groups. 相似文献

In this paper, we prove a kind of Abelian theorem for a class of stochastic volatility models (X,V) where both the state process X and the volatility process V may have jumps. Our results relate the asymptotic behavior of the characteristic function of XΔ for some Δ>0 in a stationary regime to the Blumenthal–Getoor indexes of the Lévy processes driving the jumps in X and V. The results obtained are used to construct consistent estimators for the above Blumenthal–Getoor indexes based on low-frequency observations of the state process X. We derive convergence rates for the corresponding estimator and show that these rates cannot be improved in general. 相似文献

We state and prove new various fixed point theorems of Fan–Browder type for set-valued maps F:C→2E such that C⊂F(C) (called expansive), without assuming that the sets C and F(C) are convex or compact or equal, and E is Hausdorff. Let K be a convex subset of E and let C be a nonempty subset of K. Our proofs use a technique based on the investigations of the images of maps and restated for maps f:C×K→R∪{−∞,+∞} of G.X.-Z. Yuan’s results concerning the existence of equilibrium points and minimax inequalities for maps f:K×K→R∪{−∞,+∞}. Examples are provided. 相似文献

For certain Gaussian processes X(t) with trend −ctβ and variance V2(t), the ruin time is analyzed where the ruin time is defined as the first time point t such that X(t)−ctβ≥u. The ruin time is of interest in finance and actuarial subjects. But the ruin time is also of interest in other applications, e.g. in telecommunications where it indicates the first time of an overflow. We derive the asymptotic distribution of the ruin time as u→∞ showing that the limiting distribution depends on the parameters β, V(t) and the correlation function of X(t). 相似文献

Bonilla and K.-G. Grosse-Erdmann. In this paper, we consider Beta(2−α,α) (with 1<α<2) and related Λ-coalescents. In this paper, we establish an oscillation estimate of nonnegative harmonic functions for a pure-jump subordinate Brownian motion. The infinitesimal generator of such subordinate Brownian motion is an integro-differential operator. As an application, we give a probabilistic proof of the following form of relative Fatou theorem for such subordinate Brownian motion X in a bounded κ-fat open set; if u is a positive harmonic function with respect to X in a bounded κ-fat open set D and h is a positive harmonic function in D vanishing on Dc, then the non-tangential limit of u/h exists almost everywhere with respect to the Martin-representing measure of h. 相似文献
