Polydiphenylsilylenemethylene (PDPhSM) thin films, which are difficult to fabricate by conventional methods because of their insolubility and high melting point, have been synthesized by using laser-ablated metal nanoparticles for the thermal ring-opening polymerization of 1,1,3,3-tetraphenyl-1,3-disilacyclobutane (TPDC) in this paper. TPDC was first evaporated on silicon substrates and then exposed to metal (Pt, Cu and Ag) nanoparticles deposition by laser ablation prior to heat treatment. The catalytic activity of Pt, Cu and Ag nanoparticles has been studied. The results showed that the mean diameter of Pt nanoparticles was the smallest, Cu nanoparticles the moderate and Ag nanoparticles the biggest, while the polymerization efficiency for Pt nanoparticles was the highest, Cu nanoparticles the moderate and Ag nanoparticles the lowest. In addition, the penetration behaviours of Pt, Cu and Ag nanoparticles into the TPDC monomer films during laser ablation were different due to the particle size or the chemical interaction between metal nanoparticles and TPDC molecules.  相似文献

The nitridation of titanium (Ti) caused by a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser under nitrogen gas atmosphere was investigated in situ using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). A laser having a wavelength of 1064 nm and 532 nm (SHG mode) was irradiated on a titanium substrate in an atmosphere-controlled chamber, and the substrate was then transported to an XPS analysis chamber without exposing it to air. The characteristics of the surface layer strongly depend on the laser power. When the power is relatively low, a titanium dioxide layer containing a small amount of nitrogen is formed on the substrate. Laser irradiation beyond a certain laser power is required to obtain a stoichiometric titanium nitride (TiN) layer. A TiN layer and an oxynitride layer with a TiOxNy-like structure are formed as the topmost and the lower surface layer, respectively, when the laser power exceeds this threshold value. The threshold laser power strongly depends on the wavelength of the laser, and this threshold value for the 532-nm laser is quite lower than that for the 1064-nm laser.  相似文献

The Ru(III)/Os(VIII)/Pd(II)/Pt(IV)‐catalysed kinetics of oxidation of glycyl–glycine (Gly‐Gly) by sodium N‐chloro‐p‐ toluenesulfonamide (chloramine‐T; CAT) in NaOH medium has been investigated at 308 K. The stoichiometry and oxidation products in each case were found to be the same but their kinetic patterns observed are different. Under comparable experimental conditions, the oxidation‐kinetics and mechanistic behaviour of Gly‐Gly with CAT in NaOH medium is different for each catalyst and obeys the underlying rate laws:
  • Rate = k [CAT]t [Gly‐Gly]0 [Ru(III)][OH?]x
  • Rate = k [CAT]t[Gly‐Gly]x [Os(VIII)]y[OH?]z
  • Rate = k [CAT]t[Gly‐Gly]x [Pd(II)][OH?]y
  • Rate = k [CAT]t[Gly‐Gly]0 [Pt(IV)]x[OH?]y
Here, and x, y, z < 1 in all the cases. The anion of CAT, CH3C6H4SO2NCl?, has been postulated as the common reactive oxidising species in all the cases. Under comparable experimental conditions, the relative ability of these catalysts towards oxidation of Gly‐Gly by CAT are in the order: Os(VIII) > Ru(III) > Pt(IV) > Pd(II). This trend may be attributed to the different d‐electronic configuration of the catalysts. Further, the rates of oxidation of all the four catalysed reactions have been compared with uncatalysed reactions, under identical experimental conditions. It was found that the catalysed reaction rates are 7‐ to 24‐fold faster. Based on the observed experimental results, detailed mechanistic interpretation and the related kinetic modelling have been worked out for each catalyst.
