A new chalcanonol glycoside dimer, bis-O-[(I-4′) → (II-6′)]-α-hydroxyphloretin-2′-O-β-glucoside (1), in addition to six known compounds, namely ( ? )-epicatechin (2) and ( ? )-epiafzelechin (3), 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (4), protocatechuic acid (5), methylgallate (6), β-sitosterol (7) and β-sitosterol-3-O-glucoside (8), was isolated from the seeds of saw palmetto. The structures of the isolated compounds were established from the analysis of their MS and 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data. The antiproliferative activities of the isolated compounds towards PC3, the human prostate cancer cells were investigated. Amongst the isolated compounds, the new compound and the sterolic derivatives showed antiproliferative effects. Screening of the antioxidant effects of the isolated compounds by 2,2′-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid radical assay revealed that the isolated phenolics were active free radical scavengers.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of Vicia monantha subsp. monantha Retz. revealed isolation of one new hydroxy- fatty acid (6) identified as (6-Z, 10-E)-9-hydroxy henicosa-6,10-dienoic acid in addition to six known metabolites; hexadecanoic acid (1), β-sitosterol (2), β-amyrin (3), β-sitosterol-glucoside (4), 2,3-dihydroxypropyl tetradecanoate (5) and (Z)-9-hydroxypentadec-6-enoic acid (7). The cytotoxic effect of the isolated compounds was assessed by MTT assay using lung cancer A-549, prostate cancer PC3, breast cancer MCF-7, colon cancer HCT-116 and liver cancer HepG2 cell lines. Only compounds 1, 2, and 4 showed cytotoxic effect on HCT-116 cells where compound 2 was the most active with IC50 value of 22.61 μg/mL. In addition, compounds 1, 2, 3, and 4 showed promising cytotoxic effect on MCF-7 cells with IC50 values of 21.03, 15.42, 10.089, and 11.34 μg/mL, respectively.  相似文献

A new adduct of abietane-type diterpene, salvialeriicone (1), was isolated from Salvia leriifolia Benth., along with a new chemical entity nor-abietane diterpene, 2-isopropyl-8,8-dimethyl-7,8-dihydrophenanthrene-1,4,5(6H)-trione (2). A new eremophilane sesquiterpene, capnodiumone (1), along with five known eremophilane sesquiterpenes (2–6) and eight other compounds (7–14), have been isolated from a mangrove-associated fungus Capnodium sp. SZ-F22. The chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis. The broth extract of the fungus exhibited a good inhibitory effect on the mycelium growth against Fusarium graminearum at 100 μg/mL, however, all the 14 compounds showed no expected antifungal activity. The probable reasons were discussed.  相似文献

Eight Cu(II) complexes with N-(p-, m- or o-trifluoromethylbenzyl)iminodiacetate chelators (x-3F ligands) have been synthesized to promote C–F/H interligand interactions involving the F3C-group: {[Cu(μ2-p-3F)(H2O)]·3H2O]}n (1), [Cu(m-3F)(H2O)2] (2), [Cu(p-3F)(Him)(H2O)] (3), [Cu(m-3F)(Him)(H2O)] (4), [Cu(o-3F)(Him)(H2O)] (5), [Cu2(p-3F)2(H5Meim)2(H2O)2] (6), [Cu(m-3F)(H5Meim)(H2O)] (7), and [Cu(o-3F)(H5Meim)(H2O)] (8) [Him and H5Meim = imidazole and the “remote” tautomer 5-methylimidazole, respectively]. The compounds were studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, electronic spectra and coupled thermogravimetric + FT-IR methods. The conformation of the iminodiacetate chelating moiety (IDA group) is fac-NO + O(apical) in 1 and mer-NO2 in 2–8. The fac-IDA conformation observed in 1 is related to its polymeric structure and the coordination of a O’-carboxylate donor, from an adjacent complex unit, trans to the Cu–N(IDA) bond. The mer-IDA conformation in 2 is in agreement with similar compounds with an aqua ligand trans to the corresponding Cu–N(IDA) bond. As expected, the ternary complexes 3–8 feature a mer-IDA conformation. Some of the studied complexes exhibit disorder in the –CF3 group and C–H?F interligand interactions along with conventional N–H?O and O–H?O interactions. The thermal decomposition of all studied compounds under air flow produces variable amounts of trifluorotoluene.  相似文献

In this paper, we have illustrated the utilisation of a second-sphere coordination approach to construct supramolecular inclusion solids with varieties of guest molecules. A flexible molecule N,N,N′,N′-tetra-p-methylbenzyl-ethylenediamine (L1) bearing doubly protonated H-bond donors was designed, capable of forming N–H…Cl hydrogen bonds with a crystallographically unique chloride anion, to construct an anion-directed ligand. The pillared double-layered host framework was constructed by an anion-directed ligand and primary coordination sphere [CoCl4]2 ?  through weak C–H…Cl hydrogen-bonding interactions. A variety of guest molecules, such as p-anisaldehyde, 1,4-dimethoxy-2,5-bis(methoxymethyl)benzene, can be included, leading to the formation of novel supramolecular inclusion solids: [L1]·4[H]+·[CoCl4]2 ? ·2Cl·1.5[C8H8O2]·0.25[CH3OH] (1) and [L1]·4[H]+·[CoCl4]2 ? ·2Cl·1.5[C12H20O4]·0.5[CH3OH] (2).

Abstract

We report the synthesis and characterization of a series of Ln-based bromoanilato 2-D lattices with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO): [Ln2(C6O4Br2)3(DMSO)n]·2DMSO·mH2O with n = 6 and m = 0 for Ln = La (1), Ce (2), Pr (3), Nd (4), Sm (5), Eu (6) and Gd (7); n = 4 and m = 2 for Ln = Tb (8), Dy (9), Ho (10), Er (11), Tm (12) and Yb (13) (C6O4Br22? = 3,6-dibromo-2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone = bromoanilato). The X-ray analysis shows that the largest Ln(III) ions (La-Gd, 1-7) crystallize in the monoclinic P21/n space group (phase I), whereas the smaller Ln(III) ions (Tb–Yb, 813) crystallize in the triclinic P-1 space group (phase II). Both phases present a (6,3)-2-D topology but show important differences derived from the different coordination number of the Ln(III) in both phases. In phase I, the Ln(III) ions are nine-coordinate with a tri-capped trigonal prism geometry and rectangular cavities with no solvent molecules. In phase II, the Ln(III) ions are eight-coordinate with a triangular dodecahedral geometry and distorted hexagonal cavities having two water molecules. These differences are due to the lanthanoid contraction. The magnetic properties show that the Ln(III) ions are isolated and do not present any noticeable magnetic interactions as expected for bromoanilato bridges and Ln(III) ions.  相似文献

An endophytic fungus, Chaetomium sp. YMF432, was isolated from Huperzia serrata (Thunb. ex Murray) Trev. and subjected to phytochemical investigation based on its special environment. From the extracts of fermentation solid of strain YMF 432, eight compounds including 1-O-methylemodin (1), 5-methoxy-2-methyl-3-tricosyl-1,4-benzoquinone (2), 4,8-dihydroxy-1-tetralone (3), (3β,5α,6α, 22E)-3-hydroxy-5,6-epoxy-7-one-8(14),22-dien-ergosta (4), ergosta-4,6,8(14),22-tetraen-3-one (5), β-sitostenone (6), β-sitosterol (7) and (22E,24R)-ergosta-5,7,22 -trien-3β-ol (8) were obtained. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of their spectroscopic data. These compounds were evaluated for acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities in vitro. Compounds 1, 2, and 4 showed moderate acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities (IC50 from 37.7 ± 1.5 to 370.0 ± 2.9 μM).  相似文献

From the fruit of Pandanus tectorius Parkinson ex Du Roi, one new (1) and six known aldehyde compounds (27) were isolated by various chromatography methods. Based on their spectroscopic data, these compounds were identified as (Z)-4-hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl) benzaldehyde (1), p-hydroxybenzaldehyde (2), syringaldehyde (3), (E)-ferulaldehyde (4), (E)-sinapinaldehyde (5), vanillin (6) and 5-hydroxymethylfurfual (7). The α-glucosidase inhibitory activity of all compounds was measured. The isolated compounds (1–6) showed better α-glucosidase inhibitory activity (IC50 values ranging from 36.5 to 192.4 μM) than the standard drug acarbose (IC50 = 214.5 μM).  相似文献

Two thiophenes; 5-(3-buten-1-ynyl)-2,2′-bithiophene (2) and α-tertthienyl (9), two alkaloids; echinopsine (10) and echinorine (11), three flavonoids; genkwanin (5), apigenin (6), and rutin (7), two triterpenoids; lupeol acetate (1) and lupeol linoleate (4), together with 2,6,10-trimethyldodeca-2,6,10-triene (4) and β-sitosterol glucoside (8) were isolated from the aerial parts of Echinops albicaulis. Antioxidant, antimicrobial and antiprotozoal activities were evaluated. E. albicaulis aqueous methanolic extract (50, 10, and 1 mg/mL) showed significant antioxidant activity comparable to the potent antioxidant, N-acetyl cysteine, moreover, the aqueous methanolic extract (1 mg/mL) significantly reduced intracellular reactive oxygen species in active cell cultures of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells under oxidative stress more than the reference antioxidant N-acetyl cysteine. None of the isolated compounds showed antimicrobial or antiprotozoal activities at concentration up to 20 μg/mL.  相似文献

Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia Emeric ex Loiseleur) essential oils (EOs), from Abrial, Super and Grosso cultivars, cultivated and extracted in the South East of Spain, were analysed by using GC/MS to determine their composition, in both relative (peak area) and absolute (using standard curves) concentrations. Linalool (34–47%), linalyl acetate (17–34%), camphor (4–9%) and eucalyptol (3–7%) were determined as the main molecules. This characterisation was completed with the enantioselective gas chromatography, where ( ? )-linalool, (+)-camphor and ( ? )-linalyl acetate were determined as the main components. Antioxidant activity was evaluated positively by several methods: activity against free radicals, chelating and reducing power, probably due to linalool and linalyl acetate. Mild inhibitory activity on lipoxygenase was observed supporting potential anti-inflammatory activity, mainly due to linalool and camphor. These properties support the potential use of L. × intermedia essential oils as natural cosmetic and natural pharmaceutical ingredient to fight several skin diseases.  相似文献

This study aims to evaluate the in vitro cytotoxic, in vitro and in ovo anti-angiogenic effects and antimicrobial activity of sesquiterpene lactones (SLs) from two plants Centaurea behen and Rhaponticum repens (L.). Five SLs, including cynaropicrin (1), 4β,15-dehydro-3-dehydrosolstitialin A (2), aguerin B (3), janerin (4), cebellin E (5), and a flavone hispidulin (6) were isolated from C. behen (compounds 1–3) and R. repens (compounds 4–6). Cynaropicrin (1) and aguerin B (3) were characterised by strong cytotoxic activities against A2780 cells with IC50 values of 1.15 and 1.62 μg mL?1, respectively, comparable to that of doxorubicin (IC50 = 1.17 μg mL?1). The anti-angiogenic study showed the remarkable inhibitory effect of cynaropicrin (1) and aguerin B (3) on the proliferation and migration of HUVECs. In addition, cynaropycrin and aguerin B exhibited significant angio-inhibitory effects in CAM assay. These findings may be useful for the development of novel chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of cancer.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the methanol extract of the aerial parts of Polygonum glabrum afforded one new natural product ( ? )-2-methoxy-2-butenolide-3-cinnamate (1) along with six known compounds, β-hydroxyfriedalanol (2), 3-hydroxy-5-methoxystilbene (3), ( ? ) pinocembrin (4), sitosterol-(6′-O-palmitoyl)-3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (5), ( ? ) pinocembrin-5-methyl ether (6) and sitosterol-3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (7). Compound 1 showed promising in vitro anti-HIV-1 activity against primary isolates HIV-1UG070 (X4, subtype D) and HIV-1VB59 (R5, subtype C) assayed using TZM-bl cell line with IC50 in the range of 15.68–22.43 μg/mL. The extract showed TI in the range of 19.19–27.37 with IC50 in the range of 10.90–15.55 μg/mL. Compounds 1, 3 and 4 exhibited in vitro anti-mycobacterium activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra with IC50 values of 1.43, 3.33 and 1.11 μg/mL in dormant phase and 2.27, 3.33 and 1.21 μg/mL in active phase, respectively. Compound 4 was found to be the most active antiproliferative with IC50 values of 1.88–11.00 μg/mL against THP-1, A549, Panc-1, HeLa and MCF7 cell lines.  相似文献

From the fruit of Pandanus tectorius Parkinson ex Du Roi, one new dihydrofurocoumarin, named pandanusin A (1) and 15 known compounds, including one furanocoumarin (2), two coumarins (3, 4), four lignans (58), one neolignan (9), two flavonoids (10, 11), three phenolics (1214), one monoglyceride (15) and one monosaccharide (16) were isolated by various chromatography methods. Among them, compounds (35) were obtained from the Pandanus genus for the first time and compounds (914, 16) were reported from this species for the first time. Their structures were elucidated by HR–ESI–MS, NMR 1D and 2D experiments and comparison with previous reported data. The α-glucosidase inhibitory activity of all compounds was measured. The isolated compounds (112, 14) showed better α-glucosidase inhibitory activity (IC50 = 42.2, 36.5, 84.7, 73.2, 40.8, 26.7, 76.5, 33.8, 68.1, 14.4, 22.1, 81.5, 43.8 μM, respectively) than the standard drug acarbose (IC50 = 214.5 μM).  相似文献

The present study was structured to investigate the anti-inflammatory potential of the extracts, fractions and compounds isolated from Carissa carandas (L.) roots. Bioassay guided fractionation of methanol extract based on inhibitory potential towards proinflammatory mediators (TNF-α, IL-1β and nitric oxide (NO)) led to the identification of stigmasterol (1), lupeol (2), oleanolic acid (3), carissone (4) and scopoletin (5) as potential anti-inflammatory agents. Carissone (4) (IC50 = 20.1 ± 2.69 μg/mL) and scopoletin (5) (IC50 = 24.6 ± 1.36 μg/mL) exhibited significant inhibition of NO production comparable to specific NO inhibitor (L-NAME; IC50 = 19.82 ± 1.64 μg/mL) without affecting the cell viability. Also, 4 and 5 at a concentration of 30 μM were found to inhibit 41.88–53.44% of TNF-α and IL-1β. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report displaying the anti-inflammatory effects of C. carandas (L.) roots, partially mediated by inhibition of TNF-α, IL-1β and NO.  相似文献

A new citromycetin analogue, ascomycotin A (1), together with eight known compounds, wortmannilactone E (2), orcinol (3), orsellinic acid (4), isosclerone (5), (3R,4S)-( ? )-4-hydroxymellein (6), diorcinol (7), chaetocyclinone B (8) and 2,5-dimethoxy-3,6-di(p-methoxypheny1)-1,4-benzoquinone (9), was isolated from the fungal strain Ascomycota sp. Ind19F07, which was isolated from the deep sea sediment of the Indian Ocean. The structures of the compounds were established by spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMR and HR-ESI-MS. Four novel Schiff base ligands and their copper(II) complexes, [Cu(L1)2] (1), [Cu(L2)2] (2), [Cu(L3)2] (3), and [Cu(L4)2] (4), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. The ligands were synthesized from the condensation of 2-methoxyethylamine with various salicylaldehyde derivatives (x-salicylaldehyde for HLn, x = H (n = 1), 5-Br (n = 2), 3-OMe (n = 3), and 4-OMe (n = 4)). The molecular structures of 1, 2, and 3 were determined by the single crystal X-ray diffraction technique. The redox behavior studies of the complexes in acetonitrile display the electronic effects of the groups on the redox potential. The antioxidant activity of the Schiff base ligands and their Cu(II) complexes was evaluated using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging method and FRAP assay. Furthermore, the in vitro anticancer activity of compounds was screened, including MTT and migration assays against gastric cancer cell line (MKN-45). The results show that all ligands and complexes have antioxidant and anticancer activity in a concentration-dependent way.  相似文献

Abstract

In brazil, gasoline is usually adulterated by diesel oil, ethanol (in addition to the amount legally specified), petrochemical raffinates, and kerosene. This is an illegal action performed mainly in an attempt to raise profits. Therefore, methods for reliable identification of adulterated gasoline are very attractive. The aim of this work was to propose a method to quantify kerosene in gasoline through N-way multivariate analysis and a homemade Comprehensive Two-Dimensional Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detection (GC × GC-FID). Models generated by Parallel Factor Analysis (PARAFAC), PARAFAC2, and Multi-way Partial Least Squares (N-PLS) allowed the quantification of kerosene in gasoline with Root Mean Square Error of Cross-Validation (RMSECV) values of 2.98%, 2.65%, and 2.08%, respectively.  相似文献

V., one new C20-gibberellin diterpene 2β,12β-dihydroxygibberellin (12β-hydroxy-GA110 or 2β-hydroxy-GA112) (1), together with three known compounds, trans-tiliroside (2), kaempferol 3-O-β-d-glucuronopyranoside (3), 5-p-trans-coumaroylquinic acid (4), was isolated for the first time from the genus Schefflera by various chromatography methods. Their structures were elucidated by IR, UV, HR-ESI-MS, NMR 1D and 2D experiments and comparison with previous reported data. The α-glucosidase inhibitory activity of all compounds was measured. The isolates (2, 3) showed better α-glucosidase inhibitory activity (IC50 = 134.60, 147.10 μM, respectively) than the standard drug acarbose (IC50 = 214.50 μM).  相似文献
