利用外加声场促进悬浮在气相中的细颗粒发生相互作用,进而引起颗粒的碰撞和凝并,使得颗粒平均粒径增大、数目浓度降低,是控制细颗粒排放的重要技术途径.为探究驻波声场中单分散细颗粒的相互作用,建立包含曳力、重力、声尾流效应的颗粒相互作用模型,采用四阶经典龙格-库塔算法和二阶隐式亚当斯插值算法对模型进行求解.将数值模拟得到的颗粒声波夹带速度和相互作用过程与相应的解析解和实验结果进行对比,验证模型的准确性.进而研究颗粒初始条件和直径对相互作用特性的影响.结果表明,初始时刻颗粒中心连线越接近声波波动方向、颗粒位置越接近波腹点,颗粒间的声尾流效应就越强,颗粒发生碰撞所需要的时间就越短.研究还发现,颗粒直径对颗粒相互作用的影响取决于初始时刻颗粒中心连线偏离声波波动方向的程度.当偏离较小时,颗粒直径越大,颗粒发生碰撞所需要的时间越短;当偏离很大时,直径较小的颗粒能够发生碰撞,而直径较大的颗粒则无法发生碰撞.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the motion of small particles suspended in a fluid through which an ultrasound field is propagating. The application of the lattice Boltzmann model to this problem is considered using a two dimensional model. Particles in an ultrasound field are observed to move with a mean particle motion. Further, the time-averaged force on a fixed cylinder is computed and found to be in good agreement with a theoretical expression for the radiation force. Simulations are performed with a single particle, although the approach can equally be applied for a larger number of particles.  相似文献

New drug-encapsulating particles were investigated using bright field (BF) scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) in a field emission gun (FEG) scanning electron microscope (SEM). Thickness characterization was done based on measuring the effective cross-section for interaction in our sample-detector configuration using calibration particles. A simplified analytical model, taking account of BF-STEM contrast and effective cross-section for interaction, was utilized for transforming projected two-dimensional BF-STEM images into three-dimensional thickness images. The three-dimensional characterization is demonstrated on a new family of biological materials composed of submicron to micron drug-free and drug-encapsulating particles. The importance of using BF-STEM in SEM, relative to other electron microscopy methods, is discussed as well as the lateral and depth resolution.  相似文献

A mathematical model is presented for predicting magnetic targeting of multifunctional carrier particles that are designed to deliver therapeutic agents to malignant tissue in vivo. These particles consist of a nonmagnetic core material that contains embedded magnetic nanoparticles and therapeutic agents such as photodynamic sensitizers. For in vivo therapy, the particles are injected into the vascular system upstream from malignant tissue, and captured at the tumor using an applied magnetic field. The applied field couples to the magnetic nanoparticles inside the carrier particle and produces a force that attracts the particle to the tumor. In noninvasive therapy, the applied field is produced by a permanent magnet positioned outside the body. In this paper, a mathematical model is developed for predicting noninvasive magnetic targeting of therapeutic carrier particles in the microvasculature. The model takes into account the dominant magnetic and fluidic forces on the particles and leads to an analytical expression for predicting their trajectory. An analytical expression is also derived for predicting the volume fraction of embedded magnetic nanoparticles required to ensure capture of the carrier particle at the tumor. The model enables rapid parametric analysis of magnetic targeting as a function of key variables including the size of the carrier particle, the properties and volume fraction of the embedded magnetic nanoparticles, the properties of the magnet, the microvessel, the hematocrit of the blood and its flow rate.  相似文献

Acoustic radiation force exerted by standing waves on particles is analyzed using a finite difference time domain Lagrangian method. This method allows the acoustic radiation force to be obtained directly from the solution of nonlinear fluid equations, without any assumptions on size or geometry of the particles, boundary conditions, or acoustic field amplitude. The model converges to analytical results in the limit of small particle radii and low field amplitudes, where assumptions within the analytical models apply. Good agreement with analytical and numerical models based on solutions of linear scattering problems is observed for compressible particles, whereas some disagreement is detected when the compressibility of the particles decreases.  相似文献

凝固界面前沿颗粒间的相互作用决定了颗粒的运动轨迹、分布和材料的性能,控制熔体中颗粒的迁移可用于材料的净化和提纯.在Cu-30%Fe合金液固两相区施加不同的强磁场条件,富Fe颗粒的分布和排列不尽相同.当无强磁场作用时,富Fe颗粒较均匀地分布在Cu熔体中;随着施加稳恒强磁场磁感应强度的增加,富Fe颗粒向远离重力方向的试样上端迁移,样品底部几乎无富Fe颗粒;而施加向下的梯度磁场作用后,富Fe颗粒沿重力方向向下迁移.结合强磁场作用下颗粒的受力情况,分析了Fe颗粒的迁移行为.不同磁场条件和不同区域的颗粒直径统计分析表明,随磁感应强度增加,Fe颗粒聚合增加,但施加梯度强磁场后颗粒的团聚又逐渐减弱,对此从影响颗粒运动的Stokes和Marangoni凝并速度进行了讨论.从能量最低的角度解释了富Fe相沿平行磁场方向的取向排列.  相似文献

Self-organized aggregation of nanoparticles in external resonant laser field is considered using Brownian dynamics model. Formation probabilities are calculated for the pair of particles in dependence on laser wavelength and mutual orientation of particles. Times required for aggregation are calculated.  用格林函数理论导出了圆柱对称系统中有限尺寸宏粒子一维和二维空间电荷场权函数的表达式,比较了有限尺寸宏粒子空间电荷场权函数与圆盘或圆环模型空间电荷场权函数的差别,得到了与圆盘或圆环模型空间电荷场权函数[1]不同的、更合理的计算结果。并用这两种空间电荷场权函数模拟了螺旋线行波管中的注波互作用过程,得到了其输出功率曲线,表明了用有限尺寸宏粒子计算的互作用输出功率比圆盘或圆环模型计算的输出功率饱和位置提前,饱和值增加。  相似文献

Equations of the theory of light scattering by clusters (aggregates) of spherical particles are analyzed, and peculiarities of interaction of scatterers in the near field are discussed. It is shown that one of the manifestations of the near field is a mutual shielding of particles. For simple clusters consisting of two identical spherical particles (bisphere), the mutual shielding leads to a decrease in the intensity of light scattered along the axis of the bisphere. If the bispheres are small as compared to the wavelength, shielding is caused by electrostatic interaction of charges induced in the particles by the external field. Calculations of the intensity of light scattered by randomly oriented clusters of spherical particles show that for the model ignoring the near field the intensity is significantly larger than for the model with the near field taken into account.  相似文献

The formulation of quantum mechanics developed by Bohm, which can generate well-defined trajectories for the underlying particles in the theory, can equally well be applied to relativistic quantum field theories to generate dynamics for the underlying fields. However, it does not produce trajectories for the particles associated with these fields. Bell has shown that an extension of Bohm’s approach can be used to provide dynamics for the fermionic occupation numbers in a relativistic quantum field theory. In the present paper, Bell’s formulation is adopted and elaborated on, with a full account of all technical detail required to apply his approach to a bosonic quantum field theory on a lattice. This allows an explicit computation of (stochastic) trajectories for massive and massless particles in this theory. Also particle creation and annihilation, and their impact on particle propagation, is illustrated using this model.  相似文献

在流体粒子概率密度函数输运方程中考虑颗粒对流体的反作用力,发展了考虑双向耦合效应的LB气固两相流模型,引入Smagorinsky亚格子模型模拟高雷诺数气相流场.对经典后台阶气固两相流动进行模拟,气相和颗粒相速度分布与实验结果进行比较,发现考虑双向耦合效应的LB气固两相流模型结果明显优于单向耦合结果.进一步研究不同惯性颗粒在流场中的弥散特性,小颗粒(St~O(0.1))对流体的跟随性较好,在流场中分布较为均匀;而St~O(1)的颗粒难被流场涡卷吸进入涡内,呈现倾向性弥散现象;大颗粒(St~O(10))由于自身惯性进入流场涡,在流场中分布较为均匀.  相似文献

The contactless movement of microparticles and cells to known locations within a fluid volume is of interest in the fields of microtechnology and life sciences. A device which can position such inhomogeneities suspended in a fluid at multiple locations is described and modeled. The device consists of a thin fluid layer contained in a channel etched into a silicon wafer. Waves are excited by a macro-piezoelectric plate with electrodes on the top and bottom surfaces and, as a result, waves propagate into the adjacent fluid. The result is a pressure field throughout the fluidic volume. When an inhomogeneity in a fluid is exposed to an ultrasonic field the acoustic radiation force results; this is found by integrating the pressure over the surface of the particle, retaining second order terms, and taking the time average. Thus, due to the presence of a pressure field in the fluid in which the particles are suspended, a force field is created. The particles are then collected at the locations of the force potential minima. In the device described here, the force field is used to position particles into lines. The locations of the particles are predicted by using a finite element model of the system. The experimental and modeling results, presented here, are in good agreement.  相似文献

A computational model was developed to simulate the spinodal decomposition process of ferromagnetic alloys under an external magnetic field. In this model, the temporal evolution of the modulated structure was described by a phase field method, and the magnetic configuration was solved by using a micromagnetic method. The spinodal decomposition and coarsening processes of a single magnetic particle and an A-B hypothetical system under an external magnetic field were simulated using the proposed model. The simulation results show that the precipitated particles were elongated along the direction of the external magnetic field. The dependence of the modulated structure of an A-B hypothetic system on external magnetic field is much more sensitive than that of the single particle structure. The simulation results also demonstrate that the modulation of the external magnetic field is effective even if the spinodal decomposition has been completed and a stable modulated structure was formed.  相似文献

The diffusion dynamics of particles in heterogeneous media is studied using particle-based simulation techniques. A special focus is placed on systems where the transport of particles at long times exhibits anomalies such as subdiffusive or superdiffusive behavior. First, a two-dimensional model system is considered containing gas particles (tracers) that diffuse through a random arrangement of pinned, disk-shaped particles. This system is similar to a classical Lorentz gas. However, different from the original Lorentz model, soft instead of hard interactions are considered and we also discuss the case where the tracer particles interact with each other. We show that the modification from hard to soft interactions strongly affects anomalous-diffusive transport at high obstacle densities. Second, non-linear active micro-rheology in a glass-forming binary Yukawa mixture is investigated, pulling single particles through a deeply supercooled state by applying a constant force. Here, we observe superdiffusion in force direction and analyze its origin. Finally, we consider the Brownian dynamics of a particle which is pulled through a two-dimensional random force field. We discuss the similarities of this model with the Lorentz gas as well as active micro-rheology in glass-forming systems.  相似文献

We consider a special class of stationary rotating charged dust solutions of Einstein's field equations without cosmological constant. In these space-times, the motion of freely falling particles and of light rays can be visualized by the motion of charged particles in an appropriate model magnetic field. Any curl-free magnetostatic field, given on an open subset of Euclidean 3-space, can serve as a model magnetic field for a charged dust solution in this sense. The simplest example, corresponding to a homogeneous model magnetic field, is given by Som-Raychaudhuri space-time. Some other examples are worked out.  相似文献

Stochastic resonance is investigated theoretically in a thermally activated system of small magnetic particles with easy-axis anisotropy. Calculations are performed within a discrete-orientation model using a quasi-adiabatic approximation. The output power of thermal noise of superparamagnetic particles is calculated and the magnitude of the noise suppression effect in the presence of a radio-frequency field is estimated at different temperatures. Estimates for actual iron samples are made with allowance for a spread in the particle sizes and easy-axis orientations.  相似文献

Light scattering by non‐axisymmetric particles is commonly needed in particle characterization and other fields. After much work devoted to volume discretization methods to compute scattering by such particles, there is renewed interest in the T‐matrix method. We extended the null‐field method with discrete sources for T‐matrix computation and implemented the superellipsoid shape using an implicit equation. Additionally, a triangular surface patch model of a realistically shaped particle can be used for scattering computations. In this paper some exemplary results of scattering by non‐axisymmetric particles are presented.  相似文献
