In the individual risk model, one is often concerned about positively dependent risks. Several notions of positive dependence have been proposed to describe such dependent risks. In this paper, we assume that the risks in the individual risk model are positively dependent through the stochastic ordering (PDS). The PDS risks include independent, comonotonic, conditionally stochastically increasing (CI) risks, and other interesting dependent risks. By proving the convolution preservation of the convex order for PDS random vectors, we show that in individualized reinsurance treaties, to minimize certain risk measures of the retained loss of an insurer, the excess-of-loss treaty is the optimal reinsurance form for an insurer with PDS dependent risks among a general class of individualized reinsurance contracts. This extends the study in Denuit and Vermandele (1998) on individualized reinsurance treaties to dependent risks. We also derive the explicit expressions for the retentions in the optimal excess-of-loss treaty in a two-line insurance business model.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a risk model by introducing a temporal dependence between the claim numbers under periodic environment, which generalizes several discrete-time risk models. The model proposed is based on the Poisson INAR(1) process with periodic structure. We study the moment-generating function of the aggregate claims. The distribution of the aggregate claims is discussed when the individual claim size is exponentially distributed.  相似文献

In risk management, ignoring the dependence among various types of claims often results in over-estimating or under-estimating the ruin probabilities of a portfolio. This paper focuses on three commonly used ruin probabilities in multivariate compound risk models, and using the comparison methods shows how some ruin probabilities increase, whereas the others decrease, as the claim dependence grows. The paper also presents some computable bounds for these ruin probabilities, which can be calculated explicitly for multivariate phase-type distributed claims, and illustrates the performance of these bounds for the multivariate compound Poisson risk models with slightly or highly dependent Marshall-Olkin exponential claim sizes.  相似文献

When dealing with risk models the typical assumption of independence among claim size distributions is not always satisfied. Here we consider the case when the claim sizes are exchangeable and study the implications when constructing aggregated claims through compound Poisson‐type processes. In particular, exchangeability is achieved through conditional independence, using parametric and nonparametric measures for the conditioning distribution. Bayes' theorem is employed to ensure an arbitrary but fixed marginal distribution for the claim sizes. A full Bayesian analysis of the proposed model is illustrated with a panel‐type data set coming from a Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper considers a correlated aggregate claims model with common Poisson shocks, which allows for dependence in n (n ≥ 2) classes of business across m (m ≥ 1) different types of stochastic events. The dependence structure between different claim numbers is connected with the thinning procedure. Under combination of quota-share and excess of loss reinsurance arrangements, we examine the properties of the proposed risk model. An upper bound for the ruin probability determined by the adjustment coefficient is established through martingale approach. We reduce the problem of optimal reinsurance strategy for maximizing the insurer’s adjustment coefficient and illustrate the results by numerical examples.  相似文献

This paper attempts to study the dividend payments in a compound Poisson surplus process with debit interest. Dividends are paid to the shareholders according to a barrier strategy. An alternative assumption is that business can go on after ruin, as long as it is profitable. When the surplus is negative, a debit interest is applied. At first, we obtain the integro‐differential equations satisfied by the moment‐generating function and moments of the discounted dividend payments and we also prove the continuous property of them at zero. Then, applying these results, we get the explicit expressions of the moment‐generating function and moments of the discounted dividend payments for exponential claims. Furthermore, we discuss the optimal dividend barrier when the claim sizes have a common exponential distribution. Finally, we give the numerical examples for exponential claims and Erlang (2) claims. ??In this paper, we consider a perturbed compound Poisson risk model with dependence, where the dependence structure for the claim size and the inter-claim time is modeled by a generalized Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern copula. The integro equations, the Laplace transforms and the defective renewal equations for the Gerber-Shiu functions are obtained. For exponential claims, some explicit expressions are obtained, and some numerical examples for the ruin probabilities are also provided.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an extension to the compound Poisson risk model for which the occurrence of the claim may be delayed. Two kinds of dependent claims, main claims and by-claims, are defined, where every by-claim is induced by the main claim and may be delayed with a certain probability. Both the expected discounted penalty functions with zero initial surplus and the Laplace transforms of the expected discounted penalty functions are obtained from an integro-differential equations system. We prove that the expected discounted penalty function satisfies a defective renewal equation. An exact representation for the solution of this equation is derived through an associated compound geometric distribution, and an analytic expression for this quantity is given for when the claim amounts from both classes are exponentially distributed. Moreover, the closed form expressions for the ruin probability and the distribution function of the surplus before ruin are obtained. We prove that the ruin probability for this risk model decreases as the probability of the delay of by-claims increases. Finally, numerical results are also provided to illustrate the applicability of our main result and the impact of the delay of by-claims on the expected discounted penalty functions.  相似文献

Labbé and Sendova (2009) [9] consider a compound Poisson risk model with stochastic premiums income. In this paper, we extend their model by assuming that there exists a specific dependence structure among the claim sizes, interclaim times and premium sizes. Assume that the distributions of the premium sizes and interclaim times are controlled by the claim sizes. When the individual premium sizes are exponentially distributed, the Laplace transforms and defective renewal equations for the (Gerber-Shiu) discounted penalty functions are obtained. When the individual premium sizes have rational Laplace transforms, we show that the Laplace transforms for the discounted penalty functions can also be obtained.  相似文献
