通过数值求解含时薛定谔方程,研究了高频双色激光脉冲与原子相互作用产生的光辐射.研究表明,光辐射谱中既有基频光的谐波,又可观测到谐波能量附近的多个频率的光辐射产生,且辐射的峰值强度随着入射激光强度的提高呈指数增强,相邻辐射频率差值为入射的两束激光脉冲频率差.  相似文献

The enhancement of spontaneous radiative recombination of C6+ ions with free electrons in a resonant laser field has been investigated at the Heidelberg cooler ring TSR for different transverse electron temperatures realized by adiabatically expanding the magnetically guided electron beam. The recombination spectra close to the ionization threshold strongly deviate from calculations for free independent electrons, showing important contributions at energies below this threshold. Shape and relative size of these contributions change significantly as the transverse temperature is varied. These changes are not consistent with the expected behaviour of sub-threshold contributions due to electric stray fields.  相似文献

利用广义伪谱方法精确数值求解了氢原子在强激光场中的三维含时薛定谔方程,获得了强激光中氢原子的含时波函数,利用时间依赖的偶极矩的傅里叶变换得到了高次谐波谱,研究了氢原子在强激光场中发射低于电离阈值的谐波谱对激光强度的依赖性.研究发现,激光强度在低于电离阈值的谐波产生的通道选择的过程中扮演着重要角色,主要有两种量子通道对阈下谐波的产生有贡献,即广义的短轨道和长轨道,其中长轨道对激光场强度比较敏感.结合小波时频变换、经典轨道分析、以及强度依赖的量子通道选择分析,本文阐明了其背后的物理机制.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the quantum path selection in an ultraviolet(UV)-assisted near-infrared field with an UV energy below the ionization threshold. By calculating the ionization probability with different assistant UV frequencies, we find that a resonance-enhanced ionization peak emerges in the region Euv < Ip, where Euv is the photon energy and Ip is the ionization energy. With an attosecond pulse train(APT) centered in the resonance region, we show that the short quantum path can be well selected in the continuum case. By performing the electron trajectory analysis, we have further explained the physical mechanism of the quantum path selection. Moreover, we also demonstrate that in the resonance region, the harmonic emission from the selected paths is more efficient than that with the APT energy above the ionization threshold.  相似文献

Photoelectron energy resolved spectra recorded in coincidence with singly and doubly ionized atoms are reported for the interaction of xenon with 60 fs laser pulses at 800 nm and 1x10(14) W/cm(2). Double ionization contributions in the spectrum have been established. The appearance of a single ionization plateau in above threshold ionization is verified. A hotter electron distribution is found for the double ionization.  相似文献

Accurate molecular imaging via high-order harmonic generation relies on comparing harmonic emission from a laser-irradiated molecule and an adequate reference system. However, an ideal reference atom with the same ionization properties as the molecule is not always available. We show that for suitably designed, very short laser pulses, a one-to-one mapping from high-order harmonic frequencies to electron momenta in above-threshold ionization exists. Comparing molecular and atomic momentum distributions then provides the electron recollision amplitude in the molecule for enhanced molecular imaging. The method retrieves the molecular recombination transition moments highly accurately, even with suboptimal reference atoms.  相似文献

High-order harmonic generation (HHG) of a helium model atom in an intense laser field has been numerically investigated. The influence of electron correlation on HHG is analysed by changing the strength between the electrons. The numerical results show that as the electron interaction strength becomes small, the first ionization energy increases rapidly, which results in the decrease in ionization. So the conversion efficiency of the high harmonic lying in the plateau decreases greatly, while the cutoff harmonic order in the harmonic spectrum increases.  相似文献

Results of cross-section and rate coefficient calculations for electron impact direct and indirect ionization of ions belonging to the GeI isoelectronic sequence (ground 3d104s24p2) are presented. The cross-sections are given at near threshold energies for the five ions Kr4+, Mo10+, Xe22+, Pr27+ and Dy34+. The rate coefficients are computed for all the ions from Kr4+ to U60+ in the GeI sequence at seven electron temperatures (kTe = 0.1EI, 0.3EI, 0.5EI, 0.7EI, EI, 2EI and 10EI, where EI is the first ionization energy). The calculations include the contribution of direct ionization (DI) calculated with the Lotz formula approximation and the contributions of excitation-autoionization (EA) calculated in the framework of the distorted wave (DW) approximation for the 4s-nl, 3d-nl and 3p-nl resonant inner-shell excitations. The ionization enhancement due to the EA channels is shown as a function of Z along the GeI isoelectronic sequence.  相似文献

We report time-resolved electron emission in experiments on ionization of rubidium Rydberg atoms (n=90) by few-cycle radio-frequency (RF) (1-10 MHz) pulses. The electron emission occurs in multiple bursts and strongly depends on the carrier-envelope phase as well as the duration and amplitude of the RF pulses. Remarkably, ionization is observed during a series of cycles with the same amplitude. Even at the low RF frequencies, ionization is not completed in a single cycle. Remixing of the states at the zero crossing of the field is believed to play an essential role. Similarities with the ionization process leading to high order harmonic generation are discussed.  相似文献

Attosecond pulses combined with infrared laser constitute a powerful tool for controlling atomic photoionization and high-order harmonic generation (HHG). We apply the intense-field many-body S-matrix theory to solve such two-pulse excitation problems. The theory can give a clear explanation for the oscillation of ionization probability as a function of time delay between infrared field and attosecond pulses with central frequency lying below ionization threshold at moderate infrared intensities. The HHG assisted by such attosecond pulses is also interpreted. In addition to a known dramatic enhancement of HHG, a harmonic emission from rapid oscillation of bound-state population caused by the counter-rotating wave is presented.  相似文献

Reported are the results of a harmonic generation experiment in a simple gas (hydrogen) using 1-ps, 1-μm laser pulses with a range of intensities extending from below to far above the laser ionization saturation threshold. The scaling with intensity above saturation of the third harmonic generated by a single laser-pulse in a filled gas cell is observed not to fit with a simple model that takes into consideration volume ionization effects alone. In another experiment, a pump-probe type, an upper limit on the conversion efficiency of third-harmonic generation in a preformed plasma is determined. It is found to be in agreement with the efficiency predicted by a relativistic harmonic generation theory  相似文献

Interferences of free electron wave packets generated by a pair of identical, time-delayed, femtosecond laser pulses which ionize excited atomic potassium have been observed. Two different schemes are investigated: threshold electrons produced by one-photon ionization with parallel laser polarization and above threshold ionization electrons produced by a two-photon transition with crossed laser polarization. Our results show that the temporal coherence of light pulses is transferred to free electron wave packets, thus opening the door to a whole variety of exciting experiments.  相似文献

Various electron scattering processes are examined theoretically for the strongly polar lithium hydride molecule. We have introduced a realistic dipole potential to calculate rotational cross sections of LiH upon electron impact. From the ionization threshold onwards total cross sections for elastic and inelastic scattering are evaluated in the complex molecular potential, and total ionization cross sections are extracted by CSP-ic method developed in recent years. While most of the results are new some indirect comparisons are made to draw conclusions.  相似文献

在共面双对称几何条件下,利用一阶扭曲波Born近似计算了中低能电子碰撞Ar原子(3p壳层电子)单电离的三重微分截面,并与最近的实验数据做了比较.结果表明,对于Ar原子,当入射电子能量比电离阈高40 eV以上,随着入射能量的增加,binary和recoil碰撞机理逐渐占据支配地位;在近阈能量范围,上述碰撞机理不再处于支配地位,扭曲效应明显.要完备地描述中低能入射条件下Ar原子的电子碰撞电离过程,理论模型必须同时考虑多种散射机理.  相似文献

It was recently shown that the highest molecular orbital of N2 could be reconstructed from a series of high harmonic measurements. Existing theories of high harmonic generation and orbital tomographic imaging are based on the single active electron approximation that ignores essential quantum mechanical properties such as the indistinguishability of identical particles and the Pauli exclusion principle. We show that, when fully antisymmetrized multielectron wave functions and electronic relaxation in the cation are considered, molecular orbital tomography records the image of the Dyson orbital plus exchange contributions from inner shells. The mixing of contributions from more than one molecular orbital gives access to additional wave function information. By utilizing the exchange term, harmonic emission from a closed-shell 4-electron system can be interpreted as a complete Hartree-Fock wave function.  相似文献

Cross section ratios for K- and L-shell ionization of thin silver and gold targets by positron and electron impact have been determined at projectile energies of 30–70 keV. The experimental results are confirmed by calculations in plane wave Born approximation (PWBA) which include an electron exchange term and account for the deceleration or acceleration of the incident projectile in the nuclear field of the target atom. We report first absolute cross sections for K- and L-shell ionization of silver and gold targets by lepton impact in the threshold region. We have measured the corresponding cross sections for electron (e) impact with an electron gun and the same experimental set-up.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We describe a newly upgraded instrument for measuring absolute total electron ionization cross-sections over the energy range from 0 to 300?eV, and present cross-sections for nine previously unstudied molecules, as well as several small molecules for which comparison data is available. The measured cross-sections are compared with the predictions of the BEB model, and show reasonable agreement with the model, albeit peaking at higher electron energies than predicted by the model. We show that the maxima in the cross-sections follow an additivity model, such that the molecular cross-sections can be expressed as a sum over contributions from the constituent atoms. These contributions have been determined from a global fit to the data for all molecules studied, and allow maximum cross-sections to be predicted for molecules that have not been studied to date. We demonstrate the expected correlation between the maximum ionization cross-section and the molecular polarisability, and show that the atomic contributions to the cross-section show a similar dependence on the atomic polarisability. The observed correlation can be used as an alternative method for predicting unknown maximum cross-sections.  相似文献
