Alkali metal ammonia clusters, in their cationic, neutral, and anionic form, are molecular models for the alkali-ammonia solutions, which have rich variation of phases with the solvated electrons playing an important role. With two s electrons, the Na(-)(NH(3))(n) and Li(-)(NH(3))(n) clusters are unique in that they capture the important aspect of the coupling between two solvated electrons. By first principles calculations, we demonstrate that the two electrons are detached from the metal by n = 10, which produces a cluster with a solvated electron pair in the vicinity of a solvated alkali cation. The coupling of the two electrons leads to either the singlet or triplet state, both of which are stable. They are also quite distinct from the hydrated anionic clusters Na(-)(H(2)O)(n) and Li(-)(H(2)O)(n), in that the solvated electrons are delocalized and widely distributed among the solvent ammonia molecules. The Na(-)(NH(3))(n) and Li(-)(NH(3))(n) series, therefore, provide another interesting type of molecular model for the investigation of solvated electron pairs.  相似文献

An achiral (10,3) net three-dimensional metal-oxalato framework [Cu(2)(C(2)O(4))(3)(2-)](n) was formed by cation-templating. At around 165 K, the disorder-order transition of cation (C(2)H(5))(3)NH(+) hosted in the channel resulted in dielectric transition, and the antiferromagnetic interactions between the Jahn-Teller distorted Cu(ii) through the oxalato-bridge below 165 K was enhanced.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the novel systems [Zn(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)][(Zn(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2))(2)V(18)O(42)(H(2)O)].9H(2)O (1), [Cd(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)][(Cd(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2))(2)V(18)O(42)(Br)].9H(2)O (2), and [Zn(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)][(Zn(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2))(2)V(18)O(42)(Cl)].9H(2)O (3) have been described. These materials represent a new class of solids that have been prepared by combining conventional coordination compounds with spherical polyoxovanadate clusters. The isomorphous structures of these hybrid solids consist of two-dimensional arrays of container cluster molecules [V(18)O(42)(X)] (X = H(2)O, Br-, Cl-) interlinked by the transition metal complex moieties [M(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(2)] (M = Zn, Cd). These compounds contain an unprecedented complex cation, [M(2)(H(2)N(CH(2))(2)NH(2))(5)](4+). A reaction of trans-[Ir(4-C(5)NF(4))(η(2)-C(2)H(4))(PiPr(3))(2)] (1) with an excess of water in THF at room temperature affords the hydrido hydroxo complex trans-[Ir(4-C(5)NF(4))(H)(OH)(PiPr(3))(2)] (2). Treatment of 2 with CO furnishes trans-[Ir(4-C(5)NF(4))(H)(OH)(CO)(PiPr(3))(2)] (3). Reductive elimination of water from 3 leads to the formation of the iridium(I) carbonyl complex trans-[Ir(4-C(5)NF(4))(CO)(PiPr(3))(2)] (4). The insertion of CO(2) into the Ir-O bond of 2 forms the hydrido hydrogencarbonato complex trans-[Ir(4-C(5)NF(4))(H)(κ(2)-(O,O)-O(2)COH)(PiPr(3))(2)] (5). Treatment of 2 with NH(3) in C(6)D(6) yields trans-[Ir(4-C(5)NF(4))(H)(OH)(NH(3))(PiPr(3))(2)] (6). Storage of the reaction mixture at room temperature reveals the formation of the N-H activation product [Ir(4-C(5)NF(4))(H)(μ-NH(2))(NH(3))(PiPr(3))](2) (7).  相似文献

The magic number behavior of ((CH(3))(3)N)(n)-H(+)-H(2)O clusters at n = 3 is investigated by applying infrared spectroscopy to the clusters of n = 1-3. Structures of these clusters are determined in conjunction with density functional theory calculations. Dissociation channels upon infrared excitation are also measured, and their correlation with the cluster structures is examined. It is demonstrated that the magic number cluster has a closed-shell structure, in which the water moiety is surrounded by three (CH(3))(3)N molecules. The ion core (protonated site) of the clusters is found to be (CH(3))(3)NH(+) for n = 1-3, but coexistence of an isomer of the H(3)O(+) ion core cannot be ruled out for n = 3. Large rearrangement of the cluster structures of n = 2 and 3 before dissociation, which has been suggested in the mass spectrometric studies, is confirmed on the basis of the structure determination by infrared spectroscopy.  相似文献

The mass-selected [(CO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(m)](-) cluster anions are studied using a combination of photoelectron imaging and photofragment mass spectroscopy at 355 nm. Photoelectron imaging studies are carried out on the mass-selected parent cluster anions in the m=2-6 size range; photofragmentation results are presented for m=3-11. While the photoelectron images suggest possible coexistence of the CO(2) (-)(H(2)O)(m)CO(2) and (O(2)CCO(2))(-)(H(2)O)(m) parent cluster structures, particularly for m=2 and 3, only the CO(2) (-) based clusters are both required and sufficient to explain all fragmentation pathways for m>/=3. Three types of anionic photofragments are observed: CO(2) (-)(H(2)O)(k), O(-)(H(2)O)(k), and CO(3) (-)(H(2)O)(k), k6) is attributed to hindrance from the H(2)O molecules.  相似文献

Four new quaternary molybdenum selenites, namely, HRb(3)(Mo(5)O(15))(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)1, α-Rb(4)Mo(5)O(15)(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)2, β-Rb(4)Mo(5)O(15)(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)3 and K(4)Mo(5)O(15)(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)4 were synthesized by hydrothermal reactions. All of the four compounds feature a zero-dimensional (0D) [(Mo(5)O(15))(SeO(3))(2)](4-) anionic unit composed of a five-member MoO(6) octahedral ring capped by two SeO(3)(2-) trigonal pyramids, with the Rb(+)/K(+) or/and H(+) cations and water molecules acting as spacers and keeping charge balance. Although these compounds exhibit similar chemical formula, their structures are slightly different. HRb(3)(Mo(5)O(15))(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)1 crystallizes in a polar space group (Pca2(1)). α-Rb(4)Mo(5)O(15)(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)2 crystallizes in a centrosymmetric (CS) space group (P2(1)/n) whereas β-Rb(4)Mo(5)O(15)(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)3 and K(4)Mo(5)O(15)(SeO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)4 are isomorphous, crystallize in a chiral space group (C2). The chiral structures of 3 and 4 contain two similar polyanions of [Mo(5)O(15)(SeO(3))(2)](4-) with opposite handedness. Second-harmonic-generation (SHG) measurements indicate that 1, 3 and 4 are all SHG-active. Compound 1 displays a weak SHG response of about 20% of that of KDP (KH(2)PO(4)) and is phase-matchable whereas the SHG responses of 3 and 4 are very weak (less than 5% of that of KDP). Thermal analyses and optical property measurements have also been performed.  相似文献

A recently discovered series of quaternary compounds of the general type [K(m)(ROH)(n)()][M(x)Sn(y)()Se(z)] (R = H, Me), containing ternary anions with [SnSe(4)](4-)-coordinated transition metal centers (M = Co, Mn, Zn, Cd, Hg) has now been extended by the synthesis and characterization of the two ortho-thiostannate-coordinated species, [Na(10)(H(2)O)(32)][M(5)Sn(mu(3)-S)(4)(SnS(4))(4)].2H(2)O (M = Zn (1), Co (2)). The central structural motifs of compounds 1 and 2 are highly charged [M(5)Sn(mu(3)-S)(4)(SnS(4))(4)](10-) anions, being the first T3-type supertetrahedral ternary anions reported to date. The exposure of single crystals of 2 to a dynamic vacuum for several hours resulted in the reversible formation of a partially dehydrated, but still monocrystalline material of the composition [Na(10)(H(2)O)(6)][Co(5)Sn(mu(3)-S)(4)(SnS(4))(4)] (3). The loss of 28 of the 34 water molecules only slightly affects the internal structure of the ternary anion in 3 and leads to a significant compacting of the crystal structure with closer linkage of the [Co(5)Sn(5)S(20)](10-) cluster units via the Na(+) cations. Magnetic measurements on 3 show that the ground state of the Co/Sn/S cluster is S = 1/2, indicating a significant antiferromagnetic coupling between the Co centers, which has also been rationalized by DFT investigations of the electronic situation in the ternary subunits of 1-3.  相似文献

Synthesis, structure determination by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and physical properties are reported and compared for superconducting and semiconducting molecular charge-transfer salts with stoichiometry (BEDT-TTF)(4)[A(I)M(III)(C(2)O(4))(3)].PhCN, where A(I) = H(3)O, NH(4), K; M(III) = Cr, Fe, Co, Al; BEDT-TTF = bis(ethylenedithio) tetrathiafulvalene. Attempts to substitute M(III) with Ti, Ru, Rh, or Gd are also described. New compounds with M = Co and Al are prepared and detailed structural comparisons are made across the whole series. Compounds with A = H(3)O(+) and M = Cr, Fe are monoclinic (space group C2/c), at 150, 120 K a = 10.240(1) A, 10.232(12) A; b = 19.965(1) A, 20.04(3) A; c = 34.905(1) A, 34.97(2) A; beta = 93.69(1) degrees, 93.25(11) degrees, respectively, both with Z = 4. These salts are metallic at room temperature, becoming superconducting at 5.5(5) or 8.5(5) K, respectively. A polymorph with A = H(3)O(+) and M = Cr is orthorhombic (Pbcn) with a = 10.371(2) A, b = 19.518(3) A, c = 35.646(3) A, and Z = 4 at 150 K. When A = NH(4)(+), M = Fe, Co, Al, the compounds are also orthorhombic (Pbcn), with a = 10.370(5) A, 10.340(1) A, 10.318(7) A; b = 19.588(12) A, 19.502(1) A, 19.460(4) A; c = 35.790(8) A, 35.768(1) A, 35.808(8) A at 150 K, respectively, with Z = 4. All of the Pbcn phases are semiconducting with activation energies between 0.15 and 0.22 eV. For those compounds which are thought to contain H(3)O(+), Raman spectroscopy or C=C and C-S bond lengths of the BEDT-TTF molecules confirm the presence of H(3)O(+) rather than H(2)O. In the monoclinic compounds the BEDT-TTF molecules adopt a beta' ' packing motif while in the orthorhombic phases (BEDT-TTF)(2) dimers are surrounded by monomers. Raman spectra and bond length analysis for the latter confirm that each molecule of the dimer has a charge of +1 while the remaining donors are neutral. All of the compounds contain approximately hexagonal honeycomb layers of [AM(C(2)O(4))(3)] and PhCN, with the solvent occupying a cavity bounded by [M(C(2)O(4))(3)](3-) and A. In the monoclinic series each layer contains one enantiomeric conformation of the chiral [M(C(2)O(4))(3)](3-) anions with alternate layers having opposite chirality, whereas in the orthorhombic series the enantiomers form chains within each layer. Analysis of the supramolecular organization at the interface between the cation and anion layers shows that this difference is responsible for the two different BEDT-TTF packing motifs, as a consequence of weak H-bonding interactions between the terminal ethylene groups in the donor and the [M(C(2)O(4))(3)](3-) oxygen atoms.  相似文献

The catalytic efficiency of Fe(+) ion over the CO(2) decomposition in the gas phase has been extensively investigated with the help of electronic structure calculation methods. Potential-energy profiles for the activation process Fe(+) + CO(2) --> CO + FeO(+) along two rival potential reaction paths, namely the insertion and addition pathways, originating from the end-on kappa(1)-O and kappa(2)-O,O coordination modes of CO(2) with the metal ion, respectively, have been explored by DFT calculations. For each pathway the potential energy surfaces of the high-spin sextet (S = 5/2) and the intermediate-spin quartet (S = 3/2) spin-states have been explored. The complete energy reaction profile calculated by a combination of ab initio and density functional theory (DFT) computational techniques reveals a two-state reactivity, involving two spin inversions, for the decomposition process and accounts well for the experimentally observed inertness of bare Fe(+) ions towards CO(2) activation. Furthermore, the coordination of up to three extra ancillary NH(3) ligands with the Fe(+) metal ion has been explored and the geometric and energetic reaction profiles of the CO(2) activation processes Fe(+) + n x NH(3) + CO(2) --> [Fe(NH(3))(n)(CO(2))](+) --> [Fe(NH(3))(n)(O)(CO)](+) --> CO + [Fe(O)(NH(3))(n)](+) (n = 1, 2 or 3) have thoroughly been scrutinized for both the insertion and the addition mechanisms. Inter alia, the geometries and energies of the various states of the [Fe(NH(3))(n)(CO(2))](+) and [Fe(NH(3))(n)(O)(CO)](+) complexes are explored and compared. Finally, a detailed analysis of the coordination modes of CO(2) in the cationic [Fe(NH(3))(n)(CO(2))](+) (n = 0, 1, 2 and 3) complexes is presented.  相似文献

Pb(n)I(4n+2)((2n+2)-) (n = 3, 5) ribbons, which can be regarded as dimensional reductions of 2D perovskite layers, are stabilized by diprotonated cystamine cations in (NH(3)(CH(2))(2)SS(CH(2))(2)NH(3))(4)Pb(3)I(14),I(2) (1) and (NH(3)(CH(2))(2)SS(CH(2))(2)NH(3))(6)Pb(5)I(22).4H(2)O (2). Both 1 and 2 have interesting structural characteristics; it is unprecedented that the ribbons are linked via I(2) molecules incorporated in the lattice of 1, while tetrameric water clusters are trapped in the structure of 2. 2 undergoes a (reversible) water desorption process at 310 K leading to (NH(3)(CH(2))(2)SS(CH(2))(2)NH(3))(6)Pb(5)I(22).2H(2)O (3). The electrical behavior of 2 and 3 has been investigated in the ranges 293-310 K and 310-358 K respectively. Above 310 K, the electronic contribution remains constant while the ionic transference number tends towards unity showing almost pure ionic transport at 360 K (6 x 10(-7) S cm(-1) at 330 K) originating probably from the migration of protons through the hydrogen bonds connecting the water molecules to the cystamine counter cations.  相似文献

Luminescent [(NH(3))(4)Pt][Au(CN)(2)](2).1.5(H(2)O), which forms from aqueous solutions of [(NH(3))(4)Pt]Cl(2) and K[Au(CN)(2)], crystallizes with extended chains of the two ions with multiple close Pt...Au (3.2804(4) and 3.2794(4) A) and Au...Au (3.2902(5), 3.3312(5), and 3.1902(4) A) contacts. Nonluminescent [(NH(3))(4)Pt][Ag(CN)(2)](2).1.4(H(2)O) is isostructural with [(NH(3))(4)Pt][Au(CN)(2)](2).1.5(H(2)O). Treatment of [(NH(3))(6)Ni]Cl(2) with K[Au(CN)(2)] forms [(NH(3))(2)Ni][Au(CN)(2)](2) in which the [Au(CN)(2)](-) ions function as nitrile ligands toward nickel, which assumes a six-coordinate structure with trans NH(3) ligands. The [Au(CN)(2)](-) ions self-associate into linear columns with close Au...Au contacts of 3.0830(5) A, and pairs of gold ions in these chains make additional but longer (3.4246(5) A) contacts with other gold ions.  相似文献

[NH(4)](2)Mn(3)(H(2)O)(4)[Mo(CN)(7)](2).4H(2)O (1) has been synthesized by slow diffusion of aqueous solutions containing K(4)[Mo(CN)(7)].2H(2)O, [Mn(H(2)O)(6)](NO(3))(2), and (NH(4))NO(3). Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The basic motif of the three-dimensional structure consists of a Mo1-Mn1 gridlike sheet parallel to the bc plane. Two of these sheets are connected through CN-Mn2-NC linkages to form a bilayer reminiscent of the K(2)Mn(3)(H(2)O)(6)[Mo(CN)(7)](2).6H(2)O (2) two-dimensional structure. In 1, [NH(4)](+) cations allow these bilayers to be connected through direct Mo1-CN-Mn1 bridges to form a three-dimensional network, whereas in 2, they are isolated by (H(2)O)K(+) cations. As shown by the magnetic measurements, this increase of dimensionality by counterion substitution induces an enhancement of the ferrimagnetic critical temperature from 39 K in 2 to 53 K in 1.  相似文献

The trans-[Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)(P(OH)(3))]Cl(3) complex was synthesized by reacting [Ru(H(2)O)(NH(3))(5)](2+) with H(3)PO(3) and characterized by spectroscopic ((31)P-NMR, δ = 68 ppm) and spectrophotometric techniques (λ = 525 nm, ε = 20 L mol(-1) cm(-1); λ = 319 nm, ε = 773 L mol(-1) cm(-1); λ = 241 nm, ε = 1385 L mol(-1) cm(-1); ν(NO(+)) = 1879 cm(-1)). A pK(a) of 0.74 was determined from infrared measurements as a function of pH for the reaction: trans-[Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)(P(OH)(3))](3+) + H(2)O ? trans-[Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)(P(O(-))(OH)(2))](2+) + H(3)O(+). According to (31)P-NMR, IR, UV-vis, cyclic voltammetry and ab initio calculation data, upon deprotonation, trans-[Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)(P(OH)(3))](3+) yields the O-bonded linkage isomer trans- [Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)(OP(OH)(2))](2+), then the trans-[Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)(OP(H)(OH)(2))](3+) decays to give the final products H(3)PO(3) and trans-[Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)(H(2)O)](3+). The dissociation of phosphorous acid from the [Ru(NO)(NH(3))(4)](3+) moiety is pH dependent (k(obs) = 2.1 × 10(-4) s(-1) at pH 3.0, 25 °C).  相似文献

The octahedral Ru(II) amine complexes [TpRu(L)(L')(NH(2)R)][OTf] (L = L' = PMe(3), P(OMe)(3) or L = CO and L' = PPh(3); R = H or (t)Bu) have been synthesized and characterized. Deprotonation of the amine complexes [TpRu(L)(L')(NH(3))][OTf] or [TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(2)(t)Bu)][OTf] yields the Ru(II) amido complexes TpRu(L)(L')(NH(2)) and TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(t)Bu). Reactions of the parent amido complexes or TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(t)Bu) with phenylacetylene at room temperature result in immediate deprotonation to form ruthenium-amine/phenylacetylide ion pairs, and heating a benzene solution of the [TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(2)(t)Bu)][PhC(2)] ion pair results in the formation of the Ru(II) phenylacetylide complex TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(C[triple bond]CPh) in >90% yield. The observation that [TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(2)(t)Bu)][PhC(2)] converts to the Ru(II) acetylide with good yield while heating the ion pairs [TpRu(L)(L')(NH(3))][PhC(2)] yields multiple products is attributed to reluctant dissociation of ammonia compared with the (t)butylamine ligand (i.e., different rates for acetylide/amine exchange). These results are consistent with ligand exchange reactions of Ru(II) amine complexes [TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(2)R)][OTf] (R = H or (t)Bu) with acetonitrile. The previously reported phenyl amido complexes TpRuL(2)(NHPh) [L = PMe(3) or P(OMe)(3)] react with 10 equiv of phenylacetylene at elevated temperature to produce Ru(II) acetylide complexes TpRuL(2)(C[triple bond]CPh) in quantitative yields. Kinetic studies indicate that the reaction of TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NHPh) with phenylacetylene occurs via a pathway that involves TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(OTf) or [TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(2)Ph)][OTf] as catalyst. Reactions of 1,4-cyclohexadiene with the Ru(II) amido complexes TpRu(L)(L')(NH(2)) (L = L' = PMe(3) or L = CO and L' = PPh(3)) or TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(t)Bu) at elevated temperatures result in the formation of benzene and Ru hydride complexes. TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(H), [Tp(PMe(3))(2)Ru[double bond]C[double bond]C(H)Ph][OTf], [Tp(PMe(3))(2)Ru=C(CH(2)Ph)[N(H)Ph]][OTf], and [TpRu(PMe(3))(3)][OTf] have been independently prepared and characterized. Results from solid-state X-ray diffraction studies of the complexes [TpRu(CO)(PPh(3))(NH(3))][OTf], [TpRu(PMe(3))(2)(NH(3))][OTf], and TpRu(CO)(PPh(3))(C[triple bond]CPh) are reported.  相似文献

A new class of Mo/Fe/S clusters with the MoFe(3)S(3) core has been synthesized in attempts to model the FeMo-cofactor in nitrogenase. These clusters are obtained in reactions of the (Cl(4)-cat)(2)Mo(2)Fe(6)S(8)(PR(3))(6) [R = Et (I), (n)Pr (II)] clusters with CO. The new clusters include those preliminarily reported: (Cl(4)-cat)MoFe(3)S(3)(PEt(3))(2)(CO)(6) (III), (Cl(4)-cat)(O)MoFe(3)S(3)(PEt(3))(3)(CO)(5) (IV), (Cl(4)-cat)(Pyr)MoFe(3)S(3)(PEt(3))(2)(CO)(6) (VI), and (Cl(4)-cat)(Pyr)MoFe(3)S(3)(P(n)Pr(3))(3)(CO)(4) (VIII). In addition the new (Cl(4)-cat)(O)MoFe(3)S(3)(P(n)Pr(3))(3)(CO)(5) cluster (IVa), the (Cl(4)-cat)(O)MoFe(3)S(3)(PEt(3))(2)(CO)(6)cluster (V), the (Cl(4)-cat)(O)MoFe(3)S(3)(P(n)Pr(3))(2)(CO)(6) cluster (Va), the (Cl(4)-cat)(Pyr)MoFe(3)S(3)(P(n)Pr(3))(2)(CO)(6) cluster (VIa), and the (Cl(4)-cat)(P(n)Pr(3))MoFe(3)S(3)(P(n)Pr(3))(2)(CO)(6) cluster (VII) also are reported. Clusters III-VIII have been structurally and spectroscopically characterized. EPR, zero-field (57)Fe-M?ssbauer spectroscopic characterizations, and magnetic susceptibility measurements have been used for a tentative assignment of the electronic and oxidation states of the MoFe(3)S(3) sulfur-voided cuboidal clusters. A structural comparison of the clusters with the MoFe(3)S(3) subunit of the FeMo-cofactor has led to the suggestion that the storage of reducing equivalents into M-M bonds, and their use in the reduction of substrates, may occur with the FeMo-cofactor, which also appears to have M-M bonding. On the basis of this argument, a possible N(2)-binding and reduction mechanism on the FeMoco-cofactor is proposed.  相似文献

Molecular cluster ions H(+)(H(2)O)(n), H(+)(pyridine)(H(2)O)(n), H(+)(pyridine)(2)(H(2)O)(n), and H(+)(NH(3))(pyridine)(H(2)O)(n) (n = 16-27) and their reactions with ammonia have been studied experimentally using a quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Abundance spectra, evaporation spectra, and reaction branching ratios display magic numbers for H(+)(NH(3))(pyridine)(H(2)O)(n) and H(+)(NH(3))(pyridine)(2)(H(2)O)(n) at n = 18, 20, and 27. The reactions between H(+)(pyridine)(m)(H(2)O)(n) and ammonia all seem to involve intracluster proton transfer to ammonia, thus giving clusters of high stability as evident from the loss of several water molecules from the reacting cluster. The pattern of the observed magic numbers suggest that H(+)(NH(3))(pyridine)(H(2)O)(n) have structures consisting of a NH(4)(+)(H(2)O)(n) core with the pyridine molecule hydrogen-bonded to the surface of the core. This is consistent with the results of high-level ab initio calculations of small protonated pyridine/ammonia/water clusters.  相似文献

Reaction of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(MeOH)] (+) (L (1) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-cyclohexylenediamine dianion) with excess pyridine in CH 3CN produces [Ru (III)(L (1))(py) 2] (+) and N 2. The proposed mechanism involves initial equilibrium formation of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(py)] (+), which undergoes rapid N...N coupling to produce [(py)(L (1))Ru (III) N N-Ru (III)(L (1))(py)] (2+); this is followed by pyridine substituion to give the final product. This ligand-induced N...N coupling of Ru (VI)N is utilized in the preparation of a series of new ruthenium(III) salen complexes, [Ru (III)(L)(X) 2] (+/-) (L = salen ligand; X = H 2O, 1-MeIm, py, Me 2SO, PhNH 2, ( t )BuNH 2, Cl (-) or CN (-)). The structures of [Ru (III)(L (1))(NH 2Ph) 2](PF 6) ( 6), K[Ru (III)(L (1))(CN) 2] ( 9), [Ru (III)(L (2))(NCCH 3) 2][Au (I)(CN) 2] ( 11) (L (2) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-phenylenediamine dianion) and [N ( n )Bu 4][Ru (III)(L (3))Cl 2] ( 12) (L (3) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine dianion) have been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The infrared photodissociation spectra of [(CO(2))(n)(H(2)O)(m)](-) (n=1-4, m=1, 2) are measured in the 3000-3800 cm(-1) range. The [(CO(2))(n)(H(2)O)(1)](-) spectra are characterized by a sharp band around 3570 cm(-1) except for n=1; [(CO(2))(1)(H(2)O)(1)](-) does not photodissociate in the spectral range studied. The [(CO(2))(n)(H(2)O)(2)](-) (n=1, 2) species have similar spectral features with a broadband at approximately 3340 cm(-1). A drastic change in the spectral features is observed for [(CO(2))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](-), where sharp bands appear at 3224, 3321, 3364, 3438, and 3572 cm(-1). Ab initio calculations are performed at the MP2/6-311++G(**) level to provide structural information such as optimized structures, stabilization energies, and vibrational frequencies of the [(CO(2))(n)(H(2)O)(m)](-) species. Comparison between the experimental and theoretical results reveals rather size- and composition-specific hydration manner in [(CO(2))(n)(H(2)O)(m)](-): (1) the incorporated H(2)O is bonded to either CO(2) (-) or C(2)O(4) (-) through two equivalent OH...O hydrogen bonds to form a ring structure in [(CO(2))(n)(H(2)O)(1)](-); (2) two H(2)O molecules are independently bound to the O atoms of CO(2) (-) in [(CO(2))(n)(H(2)O)(2)](-) (n=1, 2); (3) a cyclic structure composed of CO(2) (-) and two H(2)O molecules is formed in [(CO(2))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](-).  相似文献

We report 355 and 532 nm photoelectron imaging results for H(-)(NH(3))(n) and NH(2)(-)(NH(3))(n), n = 0-5. The photoelectron spectra are consistent with the electrostatic picture of a charged solute (H(-) or NH(2)(-)) solvated by n ammonia molecules. For a given number of solvent molecules, the NH(2)(-) core anion is stabilized more strongly than H(-), yet the photoelectron angular distributions for solvated H(-) deviate more strongly from the unsolvated limit than those for solvated NH(2)(-). Hence, we conclude that solvation effects on photoelectron angular distributions are dependent on the electronic structure of the anion, i.e., the type of the initial orbital of the photodetached electron, rather than merely the strength of solvation interactions. We also find evidence of photofragmentation and autodetachment of NH(2)(-)(NH(3))(2-5), as well as autodetachment of H(-)(NH(3))(5), upon 532 nm excitation of these species.  相似文献
