The dissociation probabilities of32SF6 and some of34SF6 have been measured at a large number of CO2 laser lines both at room temperature and at 140 K. The longwavelength wing of this dissociation spectrum is exponential in the wavenumber. Its logarithmic slope is proportional to the inverse temperature. Selectivities are high enough at 140 K, that the photons are consumed only for the rare isotope in the case of34SF6 and nearly so for36SF6. For33SF6 further improvement of the selectivity would be desirable.  相似文献

IR spectra of the solution of SF6 molecules in liquid NF3 at 84 K have been recorded. In a solvent transmission window of 1500–1750 cm−1, two wide absorption bands with pronounced peaks in the high-frequency part are observed. The profile of these bands is explained by the influence of the resonance dipole-dipole (RDD) interaction of the states of the simultaneous transition ν1(SF6) + ν3(NF3) and ν2(SF6) + ν3(NF3) with the states (ν1 + ν3) and (ν2 + ν3) of the SF6 molecules, respectively. The use of three isotopic modifications 32SF6, 33SF6, and 34SF6 has allowed us to vary the resonance detuning and thus to change the strength of the RDD interaction. With the liquid near the melting point being represented as a close-packed cubic crystal, the profile was calculated and its spectral characteristics were determined. The frequencies of the main peaks coincide with the experimental values accurate to the error.  相似文献

We study the possibility to measure the elastic ΦN (Φ≡J/ψ,ψ(2S), ψ(3770), χ2c) scattering cross section in the reaction ˉp+dΦ+n sp and the elastic DD)N scattering cross section in the reaction ˉp+dD D 0 p sp. Our studies indicate that the elastic scattering cross sections can be determined for Φ momenta about 4–6 GeV/c and DD momenta 2–5 GeV/c by selecting events with p t≥ 0.4 GeV/c for Φ's and p t(p sp) ≥ 0.5 GeV/c for DD-meson production. The energy E of the system as a function of the gauge phase Φ is calculated by exact diagonalization in a two-dimensional Cu4O8 cluster and by the slave-boson method for large systems. It is shown that motion of carriers with charge 2e, i.e., Cooper pairs, is observed for certain values of the parameters in the Hamiltonian. This motion is identified from the onset of a characteristic maximum of E(Φ) at Φ≈Φ0/2, where Φ0 is the flux quantum. 6 in flow with Ar (SF6: Ar=1:100) in conditions of a large vibrational/rotational temperature difference (TV≃230 K, TR≃60 K) was studied at moderate energy fluences from ≃0.1 to ≃100 mJ/cm2, which are of interest for isotope selective two-step dissociation of molecules. A 50 cm Laval-type slit nozzle for the flow cooling, and a TEA CO2-laser for excitation of molecules were used in the experiments. The laser energy fluence dependences of the SF6 MPA were studied for several CO2-laser lines which are in a good resonance with the linear absorption spectrum of the ν3 vibration of SF6 at low temperature. The effect of the laser pulse duration (intensity) on MPA of flow cooled SF6 with Ar was also studied. The results are compared with those obtained in earlier studies. Dissociation of 32SF6 and the resultant isotopic enrichment of 34SF6 using high-powered CO2 laser radiation has been studied with higher experimental sensitivity than previously reported. Enrichment factors have been measured as a function of laser pulse number, wavelength, energy and time duration. A geometry-independent dissociation cross section is introduced and measured values are presented. Threshold energy densities, below which no dissociation was observed, were also determined.  相似文献

We investigated time-dependent effects related to the bistable operation of a CO2 laser with an intracavity nonlinear absorber (SF6). The response of the system to small perturbations was sensitively dependent on the operating laser line [P(12)→P(30)] of the 10.6 μm band. The narrow bistable region forP(12), due to a very narrow hysteresis loop, can be effectively utilized for optical switching, because of its pronounced sensitivity to variations in operational parameters. The maximum admissable beam blocking time (intracavity) for spontaneous return to lasing was measured forP(16), for a range of absorber pressures. This τm is related to the relaxation time of the upper level in the absorber.  相似文献

The spin-spin relaxation rate 63 T 2 −1 of 63Cu nuclei in CuO2 layers is measured in the normal and superconducting states of the compound YBa2Cu3O6.9 (T c onset =94 K) subjected to radiation-induced disordering by a fast-neutron flux Φ to T c onset =68 K (Φ=7×1018 cm−2) and T c onset <4 K (Φ=12×1018 cm−2). It is found that as the structural disorder increases, the contribution of the indirect spin-spin interaction 63 T 2G −1 , which is related to the value of the spin susceptibility at the boundary of the Brillouin zone of the copper planes χs(q={π/a; π/a}), decreases slightly at the transition to the superconducting state for the initial sample and remains unchanged for the weakly disordered sample. This behavior of the short-wavelength contribution to the spin susceptibility attests to the stability of the x 2y 2 symmetry of the energy gap against structural disorder, in accordance with proposed theoretical models of Cooper pairing for high-T c cuprates. The quadrupole frequencyv Q =e 2 qQ/h of103Ru (Z=44,N=59) in a ruthenium single crystal has been measured using the technique of low temperature quadrupole orientation to bev Q (103RuRu)=−14.7(5) MHz. Temperatures below 2 mK were reached in this experiment using a PrNi5 demagnetization stage attached to a3He−4He dilution refrigerator. Using the measured magnitude of the RuRu electric field gradient (EFG) at low temperatures |eq(RuRu)|=1.02(3)×1017 V.cm−2 [1] and adopting the sign ofeq(RuRu) to be negative from systematics, this result yields a value for the ground-state electric quadrupole moment of103Ru ofQ(103Ru)=+0.59(2) b. This moment may be interpreted using the weak coupling model of de-Shalit [2]. A Korringa constant for103RuRu ofC K=39(6) Ks was measured in this experiment. Taking advantage of a small iridium contamination of the ruthenium single crystal, the quadrupole moment of the192Ir ground state was determined to beQ(192Ir)=+2.12(25) b. The sign of the IrRu electric field gradient was found to be negative as a result of this work.  相似文献

The process of the isotope-selective multiphoton IR dissociation of SF6 molecules under the non-equilibrium conditions of a pulsed gasodynamically cooled molecular flow interacting with a solid surface was experimentally studied. The SF6 molecules dissociate as a result of excitation in a shock wave generated in the flow, in the flow incident onto the sold surface, and in an unperturbed flow (in the absence of the solid). The experiment was based on detecting the luminescence from HF* molecules (λ ≈ 2.5) μm) accompanying the SF6 dissociation in the presence of H2 or CH4, the emission intensity being a measure of the SF6 dissociation yield. The molecular beam parameters were studied. The time-of-flight spectra of SF6 in the flow interacting with the surface were measured under various experimental conditions. The spectral and energy characteristics of the SF6 dissociation process were determined in the flow interacting with the solid surface and in the unperturbed flow. The dissociation product (SF4) yield was measured and the coefficient of its enrichment with the 34S isotope was determined. It is demonstrated that, using the shock wave formation, it is possible to increase the efficiency of the isotope-selective dissociation of SF6 molecules. An explanation of the observed results is proposed. The gas density and temperature in the incident flow and in the shock wave were estimated. The results are analyzed and compared to the other published data on the SF6 dissociation in a molecular beam.  相似文献

In a magnetic field, Cs2 molecules were excited from the ground X1Σ+g(vX=0,JX=55) level to the D 1Σ+u(v=46,J=54) level by dissociation laser light linearly polarized parallel to the field, for which the magnetic sublevels were degenerated and thus all the transitions between them were simultaneously stimulated. Probe laser light excited the dissociated Cs 6p2P3/2 atomic fragments to 6p2D3/2 level and the resultant 6p2P1/2 - 6d2D3/2 emission was detected as the function of the wavelength of the probe light. The populations of the 6p2P3/2,mj magnetic sublevels were determined from the relative strengths of the 6p2P3/2,mj - 6d2D3/2,m'j transitions induced by the probe light. Non-zero orientation O0 was found in the ensemble of dissociated Cs 6p2P3/2 atomic fragments. The orientation O0 increased as the magnetic field strength increased. It was demonstrated both experimentally and theoretically that the orientation O0 was induced through the interference in the excitation and dissociation paths in the presence of an external magnetic field, even when all degenerated transitions between the magnetic sublevels of the molecules are simultaneously excited by the light linearly polarized parallel to the field.  相似文献

The carbon-isotope selectivity in the multiphoton dissociation of CF3Br is studied in the collisional region of supersonic free jet. The isotopic abundance of12C and13C in C2F6 formed by recombination of the dissociation products is measured with a quadrupole mass spectrometer. An enrichmet factor of 9.4 is obtained for12C with the 9R(30)CO2 laser line while the factor of 6.9 is obtained for13C with the 9P(16) line.  相似文献

The electron-impact excitation of doublet D-levels of the lutetium atom is studied by the method of extended crossing beams. At the exciting electron energy of 50 eV, 64 excitation cross sections are measured. In the electron energy range of 0–250 eV, nine excitation optical functions are recorded. The occurrence of perturbations in the spectral series 6s 2(1 S)6p 2 P 12/○ − 6s 2(1 S)nd 2 D 3/2 is discussed.  相似文献

The multiple-photon absorption of pulsed TEA CO2 laser radiation by SF6 molecules cooled toT R40K andT v160K in the free jet expansion from a pulsed supersonic nozzle has been investigated at energy fluences of 0.1 to 3.0 J·cm–2.For practically all laser lines which coincide with the linear absorption spectrum of thev 3 vibrational mode of SF6 [P(12)...P(28), 10,6 m], the dependence of the absorbed energyE ab on the exciting energy fluence was found to be steeper than linearE abn, wheren=(1.1 to 1.8). Considerable increases of the absorption cross sections with increasing energy fluence were observed.The fraction of the molecules interacting with the laser radiation is estimated.  相似文献

The parameters of characteristic sulfur K α-rays generated from SF6 clusters that are surrounded by argon atoms and are irradiated by intense laser radiation have been analyzed. It has been found that the formation of large SF6 clusters under the optimum experimental parameters is accompanied by the high-efficiency generation of the characteristic X rays, and the flux density of the characteristic X-ray photons is 100 photons/(mrad2 pulse) at a laser-pulse energy of 5 mJ. It has been shown that the third-harmonic generation process can be used to characterize the spatial sizes of the gas-cluster jet and the region of the cluster plasma.  相似文献

The method is described and the experimental results are presented on the temperature determination of the (CF3I) N clusters in a beam (N ⩽ 102 is a number of monomers in a cluster) using SF6 molecules from intersecting molecular beam as probe thermometers. The SF6 molecules are captured by clusters in the crossed cluster and molecular beams and, after a certain time, sublimate from the surface of clusters carrying information on the velocity and temperature (internal energy) of clusters. Using time-of-flight (TOF) method the kinetic energy (velocity) of sublimated SF6 molecules was measured and the temperature of clusters was determined to be T cl = (88 ± 15) K.  相似文献

A universal probe method for measuring the temperature of large clusters (nanoparticles) in a cluster beam has been proposed and experimentally implemented. The temperature of large van der Waals clusters (nanoparticles) (CO2) N (where N ⩾ 102 is the number of monomers in a cluster) in the cluster beam is measured using this method with SF6 molecules as miniature probe thermometers. The SF6 molecules are captured by the (CO2) N clusters in intersecting cluster and molecular beams and sublimate from the surface of the clusters, carrying information on the velocity and temperature (internal energy) of the clusters. The velocity (kinetic energy) of SF6 molecules sublimating from the surface of the clusters has been measured by the time-of-flight method and the temperature of the clusters has been determined as T cl = (105 ± 15) K.  相似文献

β-γ-γ directional correlation studies for the cascades (i)β-rays ofE max=0.12 MeV,γ-rays of 557 keV andγ-rays of 53 keV and (ii)β-rays ofE max=0.21 MeV,γ-rays of 444 keV andγ-rays of 53 keV have been made. The triple correlation functionsW(θ) were obtained to beW(θ)=1+(−0.153±0.031)P 2(cosθ)+(0.004±0.035)P 4(cosθ) forβ-rays ofE max 0.12 MeV→557→53 keV cascade andW(θ)=1+(0.163±0.042)P 2(cosθ)+(−0.035±0.058)P 4(cosθ) forβ rays ofE max=0.21 MeV→444 keV→53 keV cascade. Spins and parities of the 650, 537 and 93 keV levels of103Rh are deduced by triple angular correlation and the internal conversion coefficient studies. In a double-resonance experiment, the absorption of various CO2 laser lines by sulfur hexafluoride was measured, before and after the SF6 was pumped by a fixed frequency CO2 laser to a level of 5 quanta/molecule. The absorption is substantially shifted to longer wavelengths. But the short wavelength wing of the absorption band is not completely bleached. Instead a shoulder of several cm−1 width is left. This shoulder is probably important for the explanation of the infrared laser induced dissociation of SF6.  相似文献

On the basis of quasipotential approach to the bound state problem in QED we calculate the vacuum polarization, relativistic, recoil, structure corrections of orders α 5 and α 6 to the fine structure interval ΔE fs = E(2P 3/2) − E(2P 1/2) and to the hyperfine structure of the energy levels 2P 1/2 and 2P 3/2 in muonic 23He ion. The resulting values ΔE fs = 144 803.15 μeV, Δ$ \tilde E $ \tilde E hfs(2P 1/2) = −58 712.90 μeV, Δ$ \tilde E $ \tilde E hfs(2P 3/2) = −24 290.69 μeV provide reliable guidelines in performing a comparison with the relevant experimental data.  相似文献
