Based on Maxwell equations and corresponding electromagnetic constitutive relations, the electrodynamic equations and electromagnetic force expressions of a current-conducting thin plate in electromagnetic field are deduced. Nonlinear magneto-elastic vibration equations of the thin plate are given. In addition, nonlinear subharmonic resonances of the thin plate with two opposite sides simply supported which is under the mechanic live loads and in constant transverse magnetic field are studied. The corresponding vibration differential equation of Duffing type is deduced by the Galerkin method. The method of multiple scales is used to solve the equation, and the frequency-response equation of the system in steady motion under subharmonic responses is obtained, and the stability of solution is analyzed. According to the Liapunov stability theory, the critical conditions of stability are obtained. By the numerical calculation, the curves of resonance amplitude changing with the detuning parameter, the excitation amplitude and the magnetic intensity and corresponding state planes are obtained. The existing regions of nontrivial solutions and the changing law of stable and unstable solutions are analyzed. The time history response plots, the phase charts and the Poincare mapping charts are plotted. And the effect of the magnetic intensity on the system is discussed, and some complex dynamic performances as period-doubling motion and quasi-period motion are analyzed.  相似文献

Systematic experimental investigation of the finite amplitude dynamics of a multiple internally resonant suspended cable-mass, subjected to anti-phase support motion at primary resonance, is accomplished. Upon getting hints from a basic system configuration assumed as reference setup about the multiple bifurcation event possibly governing transition to complex dynamics, an improved experimental apparatus is used to make it technically accessible. Results obtained by varying three control parameters, namely the frequency and amplitude of excitation and the temperature of a thermostatic chamber embedding the experimental system, allow us to characterize in-depth various occurring classes of motion in terms of time and spatial complexity, to describe peculiar and/or persistent features of transition to nonregular dynamics, and to trace them back to a canonical scenario from bifurcation theory. Variable response paths are detected via bifurcation diagrams and spectra of singular values of measurement results, and overall behaviour charts are built in the excitation parameter space. Considering the temperature as a controllable parameter shows to be fundamental for: (i) indirectly setting cable material properties to values for which the conjectured codimension 2 bifurcation becomes apparent, (ii) qualitatively referring the experimental unfolding of regular and nonregular cable dynamics to the theoretical unfolding of the divergence-Hopf bifurcation normal form, and (iii) determining system response not only in the strict neighbourhood of the organizing divergence-Hopf bifurcation but also in the ensuing postcritical regions where the dependence of material damping on temperature affects secondary bifurcations to low-dimensional homoclinic chaos.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to analyze three-dimensional free vibration of magneto-elastic/electro-elastic circular/annular plates with different boundary conditions using the Chebyshev–Ritz method, in which a set of duplicate Chebyshev polynomial series multiplied by the boundary function satisfying the boundary conditions are chosen as the trial functions of the displacement components, the electric potential and the magnetic potential. Convergence of the method is checked using various Chebyshev polynomial terms. The effect of geometrical parameters and material properties of magneto-elastic/electro-elastic circular/annular plates on the eigenfrequencies of free vibration is considered.  相似文献

利用Karman关于板的大挠度理论,考虑涡电流在板中引起的Lorentz力,导出了在横向磁场和横向载荷共同作用下薄板的非线性运动方程.借助Bubnov-Galerkin法将非线性偏微分方程转化为含三次非线性项的常微分方程.在定性分析的基础上,利用次谐轨道的Melnikov函数给出了发生Smale马蹄型混沌运动的阈值条件,进而数值计算了系统的分岔图、相应的相图、Poincaré映射和时程曲线,给出了混沌运动的数字特征.分析结果表明:磁感应强度和外载荷都会影响系统的振动特性. 关键词: 金属薄板 大挠度 横向磁场 混沌振动  相似文献

Analysis and numerical results are presented for the axisymmetric vibrations of polar orthotropic annular plates with linear variation in thickness, according to Mindlin's shear theory of plates. A chebyshev collocation technique has been employed to obtain the frequency equations for the transverse motion of such plates, for three different boundary conditions. Frequencies, mode shapes and moments for the first three modes of vibration have been computed for different plate parameters. A comparison of frequencies with the corresponding values obtained by classical plate theory leads to some interesting conclusions.  相似文献

This paper deals with the sound radiation efficiency of a vibrating, thin, elastically supported annular plate embedded into a flat rigid baffle. The free axisymmetric time harmonic vibrations have been considered for a single mode. It has been assumed that the influence of the air column above the plate on the plate's vibrations is negligible. First, the sound radiation efficiency has been formulated as an integral. Further, rigorous mathematical manipulations have been carried out based on the theory of summation of multiple expansion series containing the hypergeometric functions. As a result, the formulations have been expressed as some fast convergent expansion series containing only the Bessel and Struve functions of integer order and the spherical Bessel functions. The presented formulations of sound radiation efficiency of an elastically supported annular plate are useful for numerical calculations within the low frequency range what is important for practical reasons. The formulations are valid for axisymmetric boundary conditions and they enable changing the values of boundary stiffness constants. Consequently, the analysis of influence of the plate's edge attachment on the sound radiation efficiency has been performed. The limiting transitions have also been performed from formulations valid for the elastically supported annular plates to the formulations valid for annular plates with classical boundary conditions (clamped, simply supported and free) at one edge or at both edges.  相似文献

Free vibration analysis of annular moderately thick plates integrated with piezoelectric layers is investigated in this study for different combinations of soft simply supported, hard simply supported and clamped boundary conditions at the inner and outer edges of the annular plate on the basis of the Levinson plate theory (LPT). The distribution of electric potential along the thickness direction in the piezoelectric layer is assumed as a sinusoidal function so that the Maxwell static electricity equation is approximately satisfied. The differential equations of motion are solved analytically for various boundary conditions of the plate. In this study the closed-form solution for characteristic equations, displacement components of the plate and electric potential are derived for the first time in the literature. To demonstrate the accuracy of the present solution, comparison studies is first carried out with the available data in the literature and then natural frequencies of the piezoelectric coupled annular plate are presented for different thickness-radius ratios, inner-outer radius ratios, thickness of piezoelectric, material of piezoelectric and boundary conditions. Present analytical model provides design reference for piezoelectric material application, such as sensors, actuators and ultrasonic motors.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of electro-mechanical gyrostat system subjected to external disturbance is studied in this paper. By applying numerical results, phase diagrams, power spectrum, Period-T maps, and Lyapunov exponents are presented to observe periodic and chaotic motions. The effect of the parameters changed in the system can be found in the bifurcation and parametric diagrams. Several methods, the delayed feedback control, adaptive control algorithm (ACA) control are used to control chaos effectively. Anticontrol of chaos destroyed the periodic motions and replaced by chaotic motion effectively by adding constant motor torque and adding periodic motor torque. Finally, synchronization of chaos in the electro-mechanical gyrostat system is studied.  相似文献

An analytical approach is presented for the forced vibration analysis of a plate containing a surface crack of variable angular orientation, based on three different boundary conditions. The method is based on classical plate theory. Firstly, the equation of motion is derived for the plate containing the angled surface crack with respect to one side of the plate and subjected to transverse harmonic excitation. The crack formulation representing the angled surface crack is based on a simplified line-spring model. Then, by employing the Berger formulation, the derived governing equation of motion of the cracked plate model is transformed into a cubic nonlinear system. The nonlinear behaviour of the cracked plate model is thus investigated from the amplitude–frequency equation by use of the multiple scales perturbation method. For both cracked square and rectangular plate models, the influence of the boundary conditions, the crack orientation angle, crack length, and location of the point load is demonstrated. It is found that the vibration characteristics and nonlinear characteristics of the plate structure can be greatly affected by the orientation of the crack in the plate. Finally the validity of the developed model is shown through comparison of the results with experimental work.  相似文献

An exact, closed form, solution is obtained for the transverse vibrations, with nodal diameters and circles, of a thin annular plate having a parabolic thickness variation. Representative numerical values for the frequency parameter and typical mode shapes are presented for three different combinations of simple boundary conditions. The corresponding exact solution for an aeolotropic annular plate of the same geometry is also presented. Aside from possible design applications, these exact, closed form, data can be used as test cases for assessing the accuracy of various approximate methods of solution. The analysis involves only the powers of the radius and is simpler than that for the constant thickness solution which involves Bessel functions.  相似文献

针对基础水平运动的弹簧摆的非线性动力学响应进行研究,利用拉格朗日方程建立了系统的动力学方程.将离散傅里叶变换、谐波平衡法以及同伦延拓方法相结合,对系统的周期响应进行求解,避免了传统方法计算中使用泰勒展开引起的小振幅的限制,与数值计算结果的对比表明该求解方法具有较高的精确度.利用Floquet理论分析了周期响应的稳定性,给出了基础运动振幅和频率对系统周期响应的影响.研究发现:对应某些基础频率和振幅,系统的周期响应可能发生Hopf分岔;利用数值计算研究了Hopf分岔后系统响应随基础频率和振幅的变化,发现系统出现了倍周期运动、拟周期运动和混沌等复杂的动力学行为.研究表明系统进入混沌的主要路径是拟周期环面破裂和阵发性.  相似文献

We analyze and classify equilibrium solutions of the one-dimensional thin film equation with no-flux boundary conditions and in the presence of a spatially dependent external forcing. We prove theorems that shed light on the nature of these equilibrium solutions, guarantee their validity, and describe how they depend on the properties of the external forcing. We then apply these results to the reverse draining of a one-dimensional magnetic soap film subject to an external non-uniform magnetic field. Numerical simulations illustrate the convergence of the solutions towards equilibrium configurations. We then present bifurcation diagrams for steady state solutions. We find that multiple stable equilibrium solutions exist for fixed parameters, and uncover a rich bifurcation structure to these solutions, demonstrating the complexity hidden in a relatively simple looking evolution equation. Finally, we provide a simulation describing how numerical solutions traverse the bifurcation diagram, as the amplitude of the forcing is slowly increased and then decreased.  相似文献

In the present study, the geometrically nonlinear vibrations of circular cylindrical shells, subjected to internal fluid flow and to a radial harmonic excitation in the spectral neighbourhood of one of the lowest frequency modes, are investigated for different flow velocities. The shell is modelled by Donnell's nonlinear shell theory, retaining in-plane inertia and geometric imperfections; the fluid is modelled as a potential flow with the addition of unsteady viscous terms obtained by using the time-averaged Navier-Stokes equations. A harmonic concentrated force is applied at mid-length of the shell, acting in the radial direction. The shell is considered to be immersed in an external confined quiescent liquid and to contain a fluid flow, in order to reproduce conditions in previous water-tunnel experiments. For the same reason, complex boundary conditions are applied at the shell ends simulating conditions intermediate between clamped and simply supported ends. Numerical results obtained by using pseudo-arclength continuation methods and bifurcation analysis show the nonlinear response at different flow velocities for (i) a fixed excitation amplitude and variable excitation frequency, and (ii) fixed excitation frequency by varying the excitation amplitude. Bifurcation diagrams of Poincaré maps obtained from direct time integration are presented, as well as the maximum Lyapunov exponent, in order to classify the system dynamics. In particular, periodic, quasi-periodic, sub-harmonic and chaotic responses have been detected. The full spectrum of the Lyapunov exponents and the Lyapunov dimension have been calculated for the chaotic response; they reveal the occurrence of large-dimension hyperchaos.  相似文献

The dynamic governing equations and the corresponding boundary conditions for a rotating thin laminated circular plate with a viscoelastic core layer are derived in this paper based on the Hamilton principle. The analysis on dynamic features of the forward and Backward Traveling Waves for the rotating laminated plate is performed by means of Galerkin's method. The frequency-dependent complex modulus model for describing the constitutive behavior of the viscoelastic core layer is employed. The dynamic characteristics of frequencies and dampings of traveling waves for the rotating plate are obtained numerically. The effects of geometrical and material parameters on the critical speed of the rotating laminated plate with viscoelastic core are discussed in detail.  相似文献

In this paper, starting with the thin shell theory, the governing partial differential equation of motion for the transverse deflection of a rotating pre-twisted plate is derived. Strain-displacement relationships include the effect of warping of the cross-section due to twist-bend coupling effect introduced as a result of pre-twist in the plate of non-circular (rectangular) cross-section. Then the equation of motion, thus derived, is used to formulate the free vibration of a typical turbo-machinery cantilevered airfoil blade by considering it as a plate of an equivalent rectangular cross-section subjected to a quasi-static load due to centrifugal force field. The analytical derivation considers both the stress-stiffening as well as stress-softening effects of the centrifugal forces on the spinning airfoil. The partial differential equation governing the flexural motion of the plate is transformed into a matrix-eigenvalue form using a Rayleigh-Ritz technique. The plate deformations are represented by a set of ‘admissible’ sinusoidal trial functions, which fully satisfy all the clamped-end constrains as well as the free-edge boundary conditions. The results of the analytical model exhibit an excellent agreement with the previously published test data both for thin and thick plate geometries and even in highly twisted configurations. The results of the eigenvalue solution are presented in a non-dimensional form for plates of varying aspect ratios and different amounts of pre-twist in the plate. The numerical results are directly applicable in determining the static and running frequencies of typical blades used in turbo-machinery.  相似文献

The homoclinic and heteroclinic chaos in nonlinear systems subjected to trichotomous noise excitation are studied.The Duffing system and the Josephson-junction system are taken for example to calculate the corresponding amplitude thresholds for the onset of chaos on the basis of the stochastic Melnikov process with the mean-square criterion. It is shown that the amplitude threshold for the onset of chaos can be adjusted by changing the internal parameters of trichotomous noise, thereby inducing or suppressing chaotic behaviors in the two systems driven by trichotomous noise. The effects of trichotomous noise on the systems are verified by vanishing the mean largest Lyapunov exponent and demonstrated by phase diagrams and time histories.  相似文献

对于一类同时存在扩散耦合和梯度耦合的非线性振子系统, 通过空间傅里叶变换,得到具有不同波矢的各运动模式的相互独立的运动方程. 计算各横截模的Lyapunov指数, 可在耦合参数平面上确定同步混沌的稳定区域. 在稳定区域边界, 一对共轭横截模式失稳,导致同步混沌的Hopf分岔. 对耦合Lorenz振子系统进行了数值模拟,并设计了耦合Lorenz振子系统的电路, 进行耦合振子系统同步混沌Hopf分岔的电路仿真实验. 计算和仿真的结果表明,Hopf分岔的特征频率等于失稳横截模式的振荡频率. 关键词: 耦合非线性振子 同步混沌 横截模式 电路仿真  相似文献

This paper presents the analysis for the transverse vibration of an axially moving finite-length beam inside which two points are supported by rotating rollers. In this study, the rollers are modeled as uniaxial springs in the transverse direction. Hamilton?s principle is applied to derive the equations of motion and boundary conditions of the system. The equations of motion include translational and rotational motions as well as flexible motion. These equations are discretized using Galerkin?s method, and then the dynamic characteristics of a flexible beam with spring supports are studied by solving an eigenvalue problem. The veering phenomenon of natural frequency loci and mode exchanges are investigated for different positions of the springs and various values of the spring stiffness. In addition, the mode localization is also analyzed using the peak amplitude ratio. It is found in this study that the first mode is localized in one of the beam spans if an appropriate value of the spring constant is selected. Furthermore, it is shown that mode localization can be used to reduce the vibration transferred from one span to the other span while a beam moves axially.  相似文献

The present paper investigates the steady-state periodic response of an axially moving viscoelastic beam in the supercritical speed range. The straight equilibrium configuration bifurcates in multiple equilibrium positions in the supercritical regime. It is assumed that the excitation of the forced vibration is spatially uniform and temporally harmonic. Under the quasi-static stretch assumption, a nonlinear integro-partial-differential equation governs the transverse motion of the axially moving beam. The equation is cast in the standard form of continuous gyroscopic systems via introducing a coordinate transform for non-trivial equilibrium configuration. For a beam constituted by the Kelvin model, the primary resonance is analyzed via the Galerkin method under the simply supported boundary conditions. Based on the Galerkin truncation, the finite difference schemes are developed to verify the results via the method of multiple scales. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the steady-state periodic responses exist in the transverse vibration and a resonance with a softening-type behavior occurs if the external load frequency approaches the linear natural frequency in the supercritical regime. The effects of the viscoelastic damping, external excitation amplitude, and nonlinearity on the steady-state response amplitude for the first mode are illustrated.  相似文献
