A theorem of Muhly–Renault–Williams states that if two locally compact groupoids with Haar system are Morita equivalent, then their associated convolution C*-algebras are strongly Morita equivalent. We give a new proof of this theorem for Lie groupoids. Subsequently, we prove a counterpart of this theorem in Poisson geometry: If two Morita equivalent Lie groupoids are s-connected and s-simply connected, then their associated Poisson manifolds (viz. the dual bundles to their Lie algebroids) are Morita equivalent in the sense of P. We study the main properties of locally conformal Dirac bundles, which include Dirac structures on a manifold and locally conformal symplectic manifolds. It is proven that certain locally conformal Dirac bundles induce Jacobi structures on quotient manifolds. Furthermore we show that, given a locally conformal Dirac bundle over a smooth manifold M, there is a Lie homomorphism between a subalgebra of the Lie algebra of infinitesimal automorphisms and the Lie algebra of admissible functions. We also show that Dirac manifolds can be obtained from locally conformal Dirac bundles by using an appropriate covering map. Finally, we extend locally conformal Dirac bundles to the context of Lie algebroids.  相似文献

We associate Hamiltonian homological evolutionary vector fields – which are the non-Abelian variational Lie algebroids’ differentials – with Lie algebra-valued zero-curvature representations for partial differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the invariance of cyclic (co)homology of left Hopf algebroids under the change of Morita equivalent base algebras. The classical result on Morita invariance for cyclic homology of associative algebras appears as a special example of this theory. In our main application we consider the Morita equivalence between the algebra of complex-valued smooth functions on the classical 2-torus and the coordinate algebra of the noncommutative 2-torus with rational parameter. We then construct a Morita base change left Hopf algebroid over this noncommutative 2-torus and show that its cyclic (co)homology can be computed by means of the homology of the Lie algebroid of vector fields on the classical 2-torus.  相似文献

Using Dolgushev’s generalization of Fedosov’s method for deformation quantization, we give a positive answer to a question of P. Xu: can one prove a formality theorem for Lie algebroids ? As a direct application of this result, we obtain that any triangular Lie bialgebroid is quantizable.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a pre-symplectic algebroid and show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between pre-symplectic algebroids and symplectic Lie algebroids. This result is the geometric generalization of the relation between left-symmetric algebras and symplectic (Frobenius) Lie algebras. Although pre-symplectic algebroids are not left-symmetric algebroids, they still can be viewed as the underlying structures of symplectic Lie algebroids. Then we study exact pre-symplectic algebroids and show that they are classified by the third cohomology group of a left-symmetric algebroid. Finally, we study para-complex pre-symplectic algebroids. Associated with a para-complex pre-symplectic algebroid, there is a pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebroid. The multiplication in a para-complex pre-symplectic algebroid characterizes the restriction to the Lagrangian subalgebroids of the Levi–Civita connection in the corresponding pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebroid.  相似文献

We introduce a general notion of quantum universal enveloping algebroids (QUE algebroids), or quantum groupoids, as a unification of quantum groups and star-products. Some basic properties are studied including the twist construction and the classical limits. In particular, we show that a quantum groupoid naturally gives rise to a Lie bialgebroid as a classical limit. Conversely, we formulate a conjecture on the existence of a quantization for any Lie bialgebroid, and prove this conjecture for the special case of regular triangular Lie bialgebroids. As an application of this theory, we study the dynamical quantum groupoid , which gives an interpretation of the quantum dynamical Yang–Baxter equation in terms of Hopf algebroids. The modular automorphism group of a Poisson manifold   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
The modular flow of Poisson manifold is a 1-parameter group of automorphisms determined by the choice of a smooth density on the manifold. When the density is changed, the generator of the group changes by a hamiltonian vector field, so one has a 1-parameter group of “outer automorphisms” intrinsically attached to any Poisson manifold. The group is trivial if and only if the manifold admits a measure which is invariant under all hamiltonian flows.

The notion of modular flow in Poisson geometry is a classical limit of the notion of modular automorphism group in the theory of von Neumann algebras. In addition, the modular flow of a Poisson manifold is related to modular cohomology classes for associated Lie algebroids and symplectic groupoids. These objects have recently turned out to be important in Poincaré duality theory for Lie algebroids.  相似文献

Derived Brackets
We survey the many instances of derived bracket construction in differential geometry, Lie algebroid and Courant algebroid theories, and their properties. We recall and compare the constructions of Buttin and of Vinogradov, and we prove that the Vinogradov bracket is the skew-symmetrization of a derived bracket. Odd (resp., even) Poisson brackets on supermanifolds are derived brackets of canonical even (resp., odd) Poisson brackets on their cotangent bundle (resp., parity-reversed cotangent bundle). Lie algebras have analogous properties, and the theory of Lie algebroids unifies the results valid for manifolds on the one hand, and for Lie algebras on the other. We outline the role of derived brackets in the theory of ‘Poisson structures with background’.  相似文献

We calculate the group of dualization operations for triple vector bundles, showing that it has order 96 and not 72 as given in Mackenzie’s original treatment. The group is a nonsplit extension of S 4 by the Klein group. Dualization operations are interpreted as functors on appropriate categories and are said to be equal if they are naturally isomorphic. The method set out here will be applied in a subsequent paper to the case of n-fold vector bundles.  相似文献

A framework for constructing new kinds of gauge theories is suggested. Essentially it consists in replacing Lie algebras by Lie or Courant algebroids. Besides presenting novel topological theories defined in arbitrary spacetime dimensions, we show that equipping Lie algebroids E with a fiber metric having sufficiently many E-Killing vectors leads to an astonishingly mild deformation of ordinary Yang-Mills theories: Additional fields turn out to carry no propagating modes. Instead, they serve as moduli parameters gluing together in part different Yang-Mills theories. This leads to a symmetry enhancement at critical points of these fields, as is also typical for String effective field theories.  相似文献

We prove that if a surjective submersion which is a homomorphism of Lie algebroids is given, then there exists another homomorphism between the corresponding prolonged Lie algebroids and a relation between the dynamics on these Lie algebroid prolongations is established. We also propose a geometric reduction method for dynamics on Lie algebroids defined by a Lagrangian and the method is applied to regular Lagrangian systems with nonholonomic constraints.  相似文献

Courant algebroids are structures which include as examples the doubles of Lie bialgebras and the bundle TM T*M with the bracket introduced by T. Courant for the study of Dirac structures. Within the category of Courant algebroids one can construct the doubles of Lie bialgebroids, the infinitesimal objects for Poisson groupoids. We show that Courant algebroids can be considered as strongly homotopy Lie algebras.  相似文献

In this paper, we show how connections and their generalizations on transitive Lie algebroids are related to the notion of connections in the framework of the derivation-based noncommutative geometry. In order to compare the two constructions, we emphasize the algebraic approach of connections on Lie algebroids, using a suitable differential calculus. Two examples allow this comparison: on the one hand, the Atiyah Lie algebroid of a principal fiber bundle and, on the other hand, the space of derivations of the algebra of endomorphisms of an SL(n,C)-vector bundle. Gauge transformations are also considered in this comparison.  相似文献

Vector fields whose flow preserves a symplectic form up to a constant, such as simple mechanical systems with friction, are called “conformal”. We develop a reduction theory for symmetric conformal Hamiltonian systems, analogous to symplectic reduction theory. This entire theory extends naturally to Poisson systems: given a symmetric conformal Poisson vector field, we show that it induces two reduced conformal Poisson vector fields, again analogous to the dual pair construction for symplectic manifolds. Conformal Poisson systems form an interesting infinite-dimensional Lie algebra of foliate vector fields. Manifolds supporting such conformal vector fields include cotangent bundles, Lie–Poisson manifolds, and their natural quotients.  相似文献

The theory of Nambu–Poisson structures on manifolds is extended to the context of Lie algebroids in a natural way based on the derived bracket associated with the Lie algebroid differential. A new way of combining Nambu–Poisson structures and triangular Lie bialgebroids is described in this work. Also, we introduce the concept of a higher order Dirac structure on a Lie algebroid. This allows to describe both Nambu–Poisson structures and Dirac structures on manifolds in the same setting.  相似文献
