The angular spectrum representation of the electromagnetic wave field is employed to solve the wave propagation in a weakly inhomogeneous medium. Taking the two-dimensional spatial Fourier transform of the radiation field as well as of the dielectric constant, the angular amplitude is shown to satisfy an integro-differential equation. A similar equation is also applicable for the propagation of radiation in a non-linear medium. This integro-differential equation is solved for two specific cases of interest, namely that of a stratified medium and of a square-law medium.  相似文献

Propagation and localisation of cylindrical waves in a two-dimensional (2D) isotropic and homogeneous random medium is studied using the stochastic functional approach. By expanding the random permittivity fluctuation in the form of a Wiener integral equation, and representing the wave fields by a linear combination of outgoing and incoming waves, the scalar Helmholtz equation is solved in the cylindrical coordinates system. An analytical expression of the cylindrical wave is derived and demonstrates the localisation phenomenon, as well as the wavenumber fluctuation in the random medium. Comparing with the waves in non-random medium, the wave transfer equation between plane wave and cylindrical wave in random medium shows an additional exponential factor to indicate the modulation effect owing to the medium randomness in both the amplitude and phase. Numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the functional dependence of the localisation phenomena.  相似文献

This paper deals with the propagation of Love-type wave in a composite isotropic structure embraced of tri layers elastic medium overlying a semi-infinite elastic medium. The heterogeneity is caused due to the variation of linear, exponential, and quadratic with respect to the depth. Modified Bessel function with Debye Asymptotic Expansion approach is used to achieve closed form of dispersion equation analytically and found to be in well agreement to the classical Love wave equation. Numerical computation has been carried out to accomplish the graphical demonstration to unravel some important peculiarities of wave number associated in presence or absence of layers medium and effect of heterogeneities on phase velocity of Love-type wave.  相似文献

分析了二维各向同性均匀随机介质中柱面波的传播特性及局域化现象.用随机泛函理论,在频域内将随机介电起伏展开成柱坐标系下的Wiener积分式,将波场表示为内外行柱面波的线性和,求解二维Helmholtz波动方程,得到随机介电起伏对柱面波幅度与相位调制的解析表达.由柱面波能量的空间分布验证了波的局域化现象,并求解局域化长度.二维随机介质中平面波按柱面波展开的波转换方程与非随机介质中的情形有相似的表达,但具有随机介电起伏对幅度和相位的调制,并给出数值模拟结果.  相似文献

机械波在金属凝固过程中传播的定量计算一直是一个难题,主要原因就是在这个过程中的熔体结构非常复杂.本研究考虑到熔体的变温、非均匀和粘弹性的特点,采用Kelvin粘弹性介质模型,建立了具有粘热损失特性的热粘弹性波动方程,通过隐式有限差分方法对波动方程进行求解,并以ZL203A合金熔体为研究对象,探究了热粘弹波在变温非均匀介质中的传播规律.结果表明:热粘弹波从合金熔体的低温区向高温区传播时,非均匀的温度场对波的传播有较大影响;相反,当波从合金熔体的高温区向低温区传播时,非均匀的温度场对波的传播几乎没有影响.热粘弹波在合金熔体中的衰减系数随频率的增大呈线性增大,而随温度的升高先增大后减小,在熔体的枝晶搭接温度附近达到最大值.  相似文献

The propagation of a high-intensity sound wave in an unconsolidated medium is considered. Dissipation effects are taken into account on the basis of Buckingham’s theory of a relaxation mechanism of sound attenuation in a saturated sediment. The nonlinear evolution equation for the relaxing medium is obtained, and the solutions of this equation are analyzed. The second-harmonic generation in such a medium decays, as does the linear sound wave of the same frequency. The stationary weak shock profile has a specific form due to relaxation effects.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce and study rigorously a Hamiltonian structure and soliton solutions for a weakly dissipative and weakly nonlinear medium that governs two Korteweg–de vries (KdV) wave modes. The bounded solution and traveling wave solution such as cnoidal wave and solitary wave are obtained. Subsequently, the equation is numerically solved by Fourier spectral method for its two-soliton solution. These solutions may be useful to explain the nonlinear dynamics of waves for an equation supporting multi-mode weakly dispersive and nonlinear wave medium. In addition, we give an explicit explanation of the mathematics behind the soliton phenomenon for a better understanding of the equation.  相似文献

从可压缩连续介质角度出发,给出一种可以在空间二级准确度上兼容的相对论然而又允许超光速介质运动存在的数学描述.先给出无粘不可压缩流动的Euler方程可以改写成和电磁场方程相同的表达形式:在空间二阶准确度的意义上来说,不可压缩流+相对论近似等于可压缩流,它们都是和现在的实验结果相融的;给出可压缩流动的广义相对论.这也说明协变不变原理不过是可压缩流动的一种近似处理方法.新模型可以解释索么菲(A.Sommerfeld)提出的粒子在超过光速后减小能量反而加速的现象.  相似文献

The moment equation with different wavenumbers and different transverse coordinates for wave propagation in a random medium is a linear differential equation. It often appears in the study of problems related to wave propagation in a random medium. The differential equation can be converted into an integral equation by using Green's functions and the integral equation can be solved by iteration. The moment equation is solved by the method of successive scatters, too. The solution of the moment equation is a Dyson expansion. The physical implication of the successive solution of the moment equation with different wavenumbers is explained.  相似文献

The interaction of electromagnetic waves in a medium with nonlinear magnetic susceptibility is investigated. On the basis of Tinkham's measurements an antiferromagnet showing a resonance in the submillimeter region is considered as a nonlinear medium. The solution of both the Landau-Lifshitz and Maxwell equations leads to the RHS wave equation. Its solution with boundary conditions shows that the amplitude of the reflected wave from the nonlinear medium on a combined frequency can be non-zero.  相似文献

This article numerically analyses the combined conductive and radiative heat transfer in an absorbing, emitting, and isotropically scattering medium. The non-Fourier heat conduction equation, which includes the time lag between heat flux and the temperature gradient, is used to model the conductive heat transfer in the medium. It predicts that a temperature disturbance will propagate as a wave at finite speed. The radiative heat transfer is solved using the P3 approximation method. In addition, the MacCormack's explicit predictor-corrector scheme is used to solve the non-Fourier problem. The effects of radiation including single scattering albedo, conduction-to-radiation parameter, and optical thickness of the medium on the transient and steady state temperature distributions are investigated in detail. Analysis results indicate that the internal radiation in the medium significantly influences the wave nature. The thermal wave nature in the combined non-Fourier heat conduction with radiation is more obvious for large values of conduction-to-radiation parameter, small values of optical thickness and higher scattering medium. The results from non-Fourier-effect equation are also compared to those obtained from the Fourier equation. Non-Fourier effect becomes insignificant as either time increases or the effect of radiation increases.  相似文献

A solution to the problem of the mean sound field in liquid and elastic media with spherical particles causing monopole scattering of sound is proposed. The integral equation obtained for the field allows passage to the Helmholtz equation with an effective wave number. The characteristic features of the solution are the absence of radiation loss in the mean field wave and the absence of limitations on the particle concentration. The integral equation is used as the basis for solving the problem of the incidence of a plain sound wave at an arbitrary angle on a plane layer of a medium with particles.  相似文献

We treat heavy quark as an open quantum system in a hot medium and rederive the stochastic Schr?dinger equation (SSE) from the full Schr?dinger equation for both heavy quarks and the medium. We apply the SSE to the dynamical evolutions of a heavy quark (as a system) in the static hot medium (as an environment). Heavy quarks interact with the medium via random scatterings, which exchange the momentum and phase factor randomly between two wave functions of the system and the environment. The exchange of momentum and phase factor results in the transition between different eigenstates of the system. These are included via an external stochastic potential in the Hamiltonian of SSE. Stochastic wave functions of a heavy quark are evolved with the stochastic external potential. The mean wave functions and corresponding momentum distributions of heavy quarks are obtained after the ensemble average over a large set of stochastic wave functions. We present the thermalization of heavy quarks in the static medium with different coupling strengths.  相似文献

A nonlinear wave equation for the velocity “relaxator” is derived in the framework of the rheological model and the corresponding equation of state of a microinhomogeneous medium containing viscoelastic defects with quadratic nonlinear elasticity. The integrability conditions of the electromagnetic field equations in a continuum with defects and their wave solutions are found. The following dislocation effects on the electromagnetic wave propagation in a continuous medium are investigated: the change in the direction of the electromagnetic wave propagation in a continuous medium; the rotation of the polarization plane of electromagnetic field wave in a continuous medium; the excitation of longitudinal components of the electromagnetic wave in a continuous medium and the change in the electromagnetic wave intensity related to this phenomenon. The energy balance equation for the electromagnetic field in a continuum with a stationary distribution of dislocation is found and it is shown that an electromagnetic wave excites exciton modes localized at dislocations in the solid.  相似文献
