The Mellin-Barnes representation is used to improve the theoretical estimate of mass corrections to the width of a light pseudoscalar meson decay into a lepton pair, Pl + l . The full resummation of the terms ln(m l 22)(m l 22) n and (m l 22) n to the decay amplitude is performed, where m l is the lepton mass and Λ ≈ m ρ is the characteristic scale of the P → γ*γ* form factor. The total effect of the mass corrections for the e + e channel is negligible and, for the μ+μchannel, its order is of a few percent. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

We calculate the branching ratios of the K +π 0 l + ν (l = e, μ) decays, and the T-odd triple momenta correlations ξ = q · [p l × p π ]/M K 3, due to the electromagnetic final-state interaction, in these processes. The contributions on the order of ω −1 and ω 0 to the corresponding amplitudes are treated exactly. For the branching ratios, the corrections on the order of ω are estimated and demonstrated to be small. We compare the results with those of other authors. In some cases our results differ considerably from the previous ones.  相似文献

In the framework of a left–right model containing mirror fermions with gauge group SU(3) C ⊗SU(2) L ⊗SU(2) R ⊗U(1) Y, we estimate the neutrino masses, which are found to be consistent with their experimental bounds and hierarchy. We evaluate the decay rates of the Lepton Flavor Violation (LFV) processes μ, τμγ and τ. We obtain upper limits for the flavor-changing branching ratios in agreement with their present experimental bounds. We also estimate the decay rates of heavy Majorana neutrinos in the channels NW ± l , N l and N l , which are roughly equal for large values of the heavy neutrino mass. Starting from the most general Majorana neutrino mass matrix, the smallness of active neutrino masses turns out from the interplay of the hierarchy of the involved scales and the double application of seesaw mechanism. An appropriate parameterization on the structure of the neutrino mass matrix imposing a symmetric mixing of electron neutrino with muon and tau neutrinos leads to tri-bimaximal mixing matrix for light neutrinos.  相似文献

Using intensity autocorrelation of multiply scattered light, we show that the increase in interparticle interaction in dense, binary colloidal fluid mixtures of particle diameters 0.115μm and 0.089μm results in freezing into a crystalline phase at volume fractionφ of 0.1 and into a glassy state atφ=0.2. The functional form of the field autocorrelation functiong (1)(t) for the binary fluid phase is fitted to exp[−γ(6k 0 2 D eff t)1/2] wherek 0 is the magnitude of the incident light wavevector andγ is a parameter inversely proportional to the photon transport mean free pathl*. TheD eff is thel* weighted average of the individual diffusion coefficients of the pure species. Thel* used in calculatingD eff was computed using the Mie theory. In the solid (crystal or glass) phase, theg (1)(t) is fitted (only with a moderate success) to exp[−γ(6k 0 2 W(t))1/2] where the mean-squared displacementW(t) is evaluated for a harmonically bound overdamped Brownian oscillator. It is found that the fitted parameterγ for both the binary and monodisperse suspensions decreases significantly with the increase of interparticle interactions. This has been justified by showing that the calculated values ofl* in a monodisperse suspension using Mie theory increase very significantly with the interactions incorporated inl* via the static structure factor.  相似文献

We give a more complete calculation of bse+ e decay including leading log QCD corrections from mtop to MW in addition to corrections from MW to mb. The differential decay rate is found to be slightly suppressed for a large invariant mass of the e+ e pair; while the integrated width is slightly enhanced comparing with the results without the QCD running from mtop to MW.  相似文献

By means of π++ channelling, positive pions (π+) implanted intoTa, Mo, andW are investigated up to high temperatures. A striking observation is that the channelling effect disappears in a rather narrow temperature interval centred at 0.26 (Ta) to 0.51 (W) of the melting temperature. From studies of π+ trapping by oxygen atoms inTa estimates for the low-temperature π+ diffusivity inTa [D π(23K)=1.4·10−10±0.3 m2s−1,D π(47K)=5.7·10−10±0.3 m2s−1] as well as for the binding enthalpy of π+ to 0 atoms (H B=7·10−2 eV) have been obtained. The diffusion data are in reasonable agreement with the theory of phonon-assisted tunnelling.  相似文献

We consider a supersymmetric hybrid inflation model with two inflaton fields. The superpotential during inflation is dominated by W=(κS+κS′)M 2, where S, S′ are inflatons carrying the same U(1) R charge, κ, κ′ are dimensionless couplings, and M (∼1015−16 GeV) is a dimensionful parameter associated with a symmetry breaking scale. One light mass eigenstate drives inflation, while the other heavier mass eigenstate is stuck to the origin. The smallness of the lighter inflaton mass for the scalar spectral index n s ≈0.96, which is the center value of WMAP7, can be controlled by the ratio κ′/κ through the supergravity corrections. We also discuss the possibility of the two field inflation and large non-Gaussianity in this setup.  相似文献

A steady-state Penning ion source is studied experimentally. Depending on the geometric parameter l a (the anode length to diameter ratio) and pressure, maxima are observed in the discharge current and in the ion beam current extracted from an aperture at the center of the cathode. It is shown that at pressures of the order of 10−4 Torr, two maxima appear in these currents: one, for short discharge gaps with l a =1–1.5, corresponds to a diverging ion beam, and the other, for longer anodes with l a =4–5, to a collimated ion beam. At pressures of the order of 10−5 Torr, only one maximum appears in these currents, for short anodes l a =2–3 with a diverging ion beam. A physical explanation is proposed for these findings. Zh. We present a study of the LHC sensitivity to the W boson mass based on simulation studies. We find that both experimental and phenomenological sources of systematic uncertainties can be strongly constrained with Z measurements: the lineshape, dσ Z /dm, is robustly predicted, and its analysis provides an accurate measurement of the detector resolution and absolute scale, while the differential cross-section analysis, d2 σ Z /dydp T , absorbs the strong interaction uncertainties. A sensitivity δ m W ∼7 MeV for each decay channel (We ν, Wμ ν), and for an integrated luminosity of 10 fb−1, appears as a reasonable goal.  相似文献

The weak decays of Λ b Λ+γ and Λ b Λ+l + l are investigated in the standard model using the light-cone sum-rule approach. The higher-twist distribution amplitudes of the Λ baryon to the leading conformal spin are included in the sum rules for the transition form factors. Our results indicate that the higher-twist distribution amplitudes almost have no influence on the transition form factor f 2(q 2) defined by the tensor current, while such corrections can have a significant impact on the form factors g 2(q 2) defined by a vector current. Two phenomenological models (COZ and FZOZ) for the wave function of the Λ baryon are also employed in the sum rules for comparison, which can give rise to form factors approximately five times larger than that in terms of conformal expansion. Utilizing the form factors calculated in LCSR, the physical observables like the decay rate, the polarization asymmetry and forward–backward asymmetry are analyzed for the decays of Λ b Λ γ, Λ l + l .  相似文献

New features of the dependence of the average travel distance l of dislocations on the magnetic field B have been found in an investigation of the magnetostimulated dislocation mobility in LiF crystals: A transition has been found from ordinary proportionality lB 2 to saturation l≈ const in high fields B. It is shown that the experimental points can be described satisfactorily by the theoretical dependence l∝ [(B 0/B)2+1]−1 (B 0≈0.8 T), typical for the mechanism of longitudinal spin relaxation in a system of radical pairs, which are supposedly formed when dislocation nuclei interact with paramagnetic impurity centers. According to the theory, the level of the field B 0 is determined by the characteristic frequency of the oscillations of the internal fields in the lattice, which for B 0∼1 T is of the order of 1011s−1, which corresponds to the typical frequency of characteristic oscillations of dislocation segments between pinning centers, which, naturally, does not depend on temperature. The hybridization-induced interaction of Anderson impurities with orbital angular momentum l is revisited. At short distances R<R c ∝(l+1)/k F the interaction has antiferromagnetic sign and decays as (R c /R)4l . At larger distances R>R c the RKKY-like oscillatory interaction sets in. As l increases, the system will sooner or later enter the “short-distance” domain, where the intersite magnetic interaction dominates over the screening processes. The rare t-quark decays tcl j + l k and tc j k k induced by scalar-leptoquark doublets are considered within the minimal model involving four-color quark-lepton symmetry and the Higgs mechanism of quark and lepton mass splitting. The partial widths with respect to the decays being considered and the total widths Γ(tcl +l ) = Σj,k Γ(tcl j + l k ) and Γ(tcl +l ) = Σj,kΓ(tc j v k ) with respect to, respectively, the charged leptonic and neutrino modes are calculated. It is shown that, at scalar-leptoquark masses higher than the t-quark mass (m S > m t), the branching ratios for these modes are Br(tcl +l ) ≈ (3.5−0.4) × 10−5 and Br(tcṽ′v) ≈ (7.1−0.8) × 10−5 at m s = 180–250 GeV and an appropriate value of the leptoquark-mixing angle (sin β ≈ 0.2) and can increase for m S < m t to Br(tcl +l ) ≈ 0.03−0.002 and Br(tcl +l ) ≈ 0.46−0.05 for the charged mode at m S = 150–170 GeV for sin β ≈ 1 and sin β ≈ 0.2, respectively. In the cases being considered, t-quark decays to pairs of charged leptons can be accessible to detection at LHC. A new type of fast detector is proposed. The operation of the detector is based on the change induced in the kinetic inductance of NbN and YBa2Cu3O7−δ superconducting films by nonequilibrium quasiparticles produced by electromagnetic radiation. The speed of a NbN detector is essentially temperature-independent and is less than 1 ps. A model based on the Omen-Scalapino scheme describes well the experimental dependence of the voltage-power sensitivity of a NbN detector on the modulation frequency of the radiation. A low equilibrium quasiparticle density and a high quantum yield give detecting power D*=1012W−1 · cm · Hz1/2 at temperature T=4.2 K and D*=1016 W−1 · cm · Hz1/2 at temperature T=1.6 K. The time constant of the low-temperature YBaCuO induction detector is determined only by the electron-phonon interaction time τ e-ph d in the nodal regions. Zh. Tekh. A new kinetic phenomenon related to the effect of electron-electron scattering on the thermoelectric coefficient η a conductor with a small electron mean free path l is considered. The effect is proportional to the electron-hole asymmetry factor (ε Fτ)−1 and the real part of the diffusion-enhanced Coulomb propagator with characteristic wave vectors of up to l −1. Unlike weak localization effects, in the two-dimensional case this effect results in a logarithmic temperature dependence of η and yields the major contribution to the differential thermoelectric power. Asymptotic formulae of some expectation values related to the relativistic corrections in inverse powers of the internuclear distance R for the lsσ g electron state of hydrogen molecular ion H2+ and the lsσ molecule-like state of antiprotonic helium atom He+ are obtained with the use of the first-order perturbation function. Using these asymptotic formulae, the relativistic correction of order mα6 for these states in reciprocal powers of the internuclear distance R is derived to accuracy of (R −4). A left-right symmetric model with two Higgs bi-doublet is shown to be a consistent model for both spontaneous P and CP violation. The flavor changing neutral currents can be suppressed by the mechanism of approximate global U(1) family symmetry. The constraints from neural K meson mass difference Δm K are calculated and it is demonstrated that a right-handed gauge boson W 2 contribution in box-diagrams with mass well below 1 TeV is allowed due to a cancelation caused by a light-charged Higgs boson with a mass range of 150–300 GeV. The W 2 contribution to ε K can be suppressed from an appropriate choice of additional CP phases appearing in the right-handed Cabbibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix. The model is also found to be fully consistent with B 0 mass difference Δm B and the mixing induced CP violation sin2β J/ Ψ, which is usually difficult for the model with only one Higgs bi-doublet. The new physics beyond the standard model can be directly searched at the colliders LHC and ILC. We calculate analytically the weak radiative corrections to the weak neutral current gauge boson-bottom fermion vertex, keeping the mass mt of the internal fermion line for the relevant diagrams. We find, to order α, a hard mass-term dependence mt2/MW2 of the amplitude, for large mt values. Its origin comes from the unphysical charged Higgs coupling to fermions in the renormalizable gauge or, equivalently, from the longitudinal charged gauge boson couplings. The diagonal Z0 decay width to b-quarks decreases, due to these weak radiative corrections, by 0.6%–2.5% when the top mass mt varies from 45 to 200 GeV.  相似文献

The cross sections for single and double electron capture to the states Ne9+ n) with n=3–6 and Ne8+(3l,nl′), Ne8+(4l,nl′) with n′⩾4 and also the cross sections for single electron capture to the states Ne5+(3) in collisions of Ne10+ and Ne6+ with He atoms are calculated for collision energies in the interval from 10 to 150 keV. The calculation is carried out in the multichannel Landau-Zener, Nikintin, and Landau-Zener-Chaplik models with allowance for the radial coupling of the channels at crossing points of the energies of the quasidiabatic twoelectron states of the quasimolecule. The energies of the two-electron states are calculated in the effective potential method to first order in perturbation theory in the residual electron-electron interaction. The energies of the adiabatic states in the neighborhoods of the crossings of quasidiabatic terms are determined by the configuration interaction method. It is found that in Ne10+-He collisions the electron is captured mainly to the n=5 state of the Ne9+ ion. The cross section for double electron capture to the 3lnl′ state (n⩾4) of the Ne8+ ion is an order of magnitude smaller than the cross section for single electron capture. The contribution to the total cross section for double electron charge transfer from the 4l4l′ 4l5l′, and 4l6l′ states is approximately 25%.
