A well known difficulty with a large value of the σ term in πN scattering is analysed from positions of the QCD sum rules approach. The matrix element \(\left\langle {p\left| {\bar ss} \right|p} \right\rangle\) is related to flavour singlet correlation function of two quark condensates at zero momentum. The splittings \(\left\langle {p\left| {\bar uu - \bar ss} \right|p} \right\rangle\) and \(\left\langle {p\left| {\bar dd - \bar ss} \right|p} \right\rangle\) are calculated and turn to be in agreement withSU 3 relations.  相似文献

The \(B\rightarrow D\) transition form factor (TFF) \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\) is determined mainly by the D-meson leading-twist distribution amplitude (DA) , \(\phi _{2;D}\), if the proper chiral current correlation function is adopted within the light-cone QCD sum rules. It is therefore significant to make a comprehensive study of DA \(\phi _{2;D}\) and its impact on \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\). In this paper, we calculate the moments of \(\phi _{2;D}\) with the QCD sum rules under the framework of the background field theory. New sum rules for the leading-twist DA moments \(\left\langle \xi ^n\right\rangle _D\) up to fourth order and up to dimension-six condensates are presented. At the scale \(\mu = 2 \,\mathrm{GeV}\), the values of the first four moments are: \(\left\langle \xi ^1\right\rangle _D = -0.418^{+0.021}_{-0.022}\), \(\left\langle \xi ^2\right\rangle _D = 0.289^{+0.023}_{-0.022}\), \(\left\langle \xi ^3\right\rangle _D = -0.178 \pm 0.010\) and \(\left\langle \xi ^4\right\rangle _D = 0.142^{+0.013}_{-0.012}\). Basing on the values of \(\left\langle \xi ^n\right\rangle _D(n=1,2,3,4)\), a better model of \(\phi _{2;D}\) is constructed. Applying this model for the TFF \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\) under the light cone sum rules, we obtain \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(0) = 0.673^{+0.038}_{-0.041}\) and \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2_{\mathrm{max}}) = 1.117^{+0.051}_{-0.054}\). The uncertainty of \(f^{B\rightarrow D}_+(q^2)\) from \(\phi _{2;D}\) is estimated and we find its impact should be taken into account, especially in low and central energy region. The branching ratio \(\mathcal {B}(B\rightarrow Dl\bar{\nu }_l)\) is calculated, which is consistent with experimental data.  相似文献

The polarizationP of the beta-rays from Ho166 and P32 has been investigated using the method of combined multiple- and Mott-scattering. The result for\(P/\frac{v}{c}\) averaged over the energy range accepted by our apparatus\(\left( {\frac{v}{c} \approx 0.8} \right)\) is
$$\left\langle {\left( { - P/\frac{v}{c}} \right)_{Ho^{1^{66} } } } \right\rangle _{Av} = (0.99 \pm 0.02)\left\langle {\left( { - P/\frac{v}{c}} \right)_{P^{3_2 } } } \right\rangle _{Av} .$$  相似文献

We investigate several properties of a translocating homopolymer through a thin pore driven by an external field present inside the pore only using Langevin Dynamics (LD) simulations in three dimensions (3D). Motivated by several recent theoretical and numerical studies that are apparently at odds with each other, we estimate the exponents describing the scaling with chain length (Nof the average translocation time \(\ensuremath \langle\tau\rangle\) , the average velocity of the center of mass \(\ensuremath \langle v_{{\rm CM}}\rangle\) , and the effective radius of gyration \(\ensuremath \langle {R}_g\rangle\) during the translocation process defined as \(\ensuremath \langle\tau\rangle \sim N^{\alpha}\) , \(\ensuremath \langle v_{{\rm CM}} \rangle \sim N^{-\delta}\) , and \(\ensuremath {R}_g \sim N^{\bar{\nu}}\) respectively, and the exponent of the translocation coordinate (s -coordinate) as a function of the translocation time \(\ensuremath \langle s^2(t)\rangle\sim t^{\beta}\) . We find \(\ensuremath \alpha=1.36 \pm 0.01\) , \(\ensuremath \beta=1.60 \pm 0.01\) for \(\ensuremath \langle s^2(t)\rangle\sim \tau^{\beta}\) and \(\ensuremath \bar{\beta}=1.44 \pm 0.02\) for \(\ensuremath \langle\Delta s^2(t)\rangle\sim\tau^{\bar{\beta}}\) , \(\ensuremath \delta=0.81 \pm 0.04\) , and \(\ensuremath \bar{\nu}\simeq\nu=0.59 \pm 0.01\) , where \( \nu\) is the equilibrium Flory exponent in 3D. Therefore, we find that \(\ensuremath \langle\tau\rangle\sim N^{1.36}\) is consistent with the estimate of \(\ensuremath \langle\tau\rangle\sim\langle R_g \rangle/\langle v_{{\rm CM}} \rangle\) . However, as observed previously in Monte Carlo (MC) calculations by Kantor and Kardar (Y. Kantor, M. Kardar, Phys. Rev. E 69, 021806 (2004)) we also find the exponent α = 1.36 ± 0.01 < 1 + ν. Further, we find that the parallel and perpendicular components of the gyration radii, where one considers the “cis” and “trans” parts of the chain separately, exhibit distinct out-of-equilibrium effects. We also discuss the dependence of the effective exponents on the pore geometry for the range of N studied here.  相似文献

We systematically exploit the reported data on \(F_2^{\gamma p} ,F_2^{\gamma n} ,\sigma ^{vN} ,\sigma ^{\bar vN} ,\left\langle {xy} \right\rangle _{vN} ,\left\langle {xy} \right\rangle _{\bar vN} ,\left\langle {1 - y} \right\rangle _{vN} \) and \(\left\langle {1 - y} \right\rangle _{\bar vN} \) in order to test various versions of the quark parton model and to obtain further predictions.  相似文献

We analyze the phenomenon of heavy quark condensation within the framework of the QCD sum rule approach. We discuss two alternative expansions for massive quark condensates. The first one (heavy to light quark expansion), introduced by Broadhurst and Generalis, establishes a connection between the heavy and light quark worlds. The other one (heavy quark expansion) is valid when only heavy quark systems are considered. As a byproduct we have obtained the coefficients of \(\left\langle {\bar qq} \right\rangle \) , \(\left\langle {\bar qGq} \right\rangle \) , 〈G 2〉 and 〈G 3〉 for all bilinear currents.  相似文献

A new interpretation of the intrinsic charm phenomenon based on the assumption of the pentaquark \(\left| {uudc\bar c} \right\rangle\) mixing with a proton is offered. The structure function of the c-quark in the pentaquark is constructed. The mixing ration is evaluated theoretically, using experimental data on the D-meson production and the inclusive production of the hidden charm particles.  相似文献

Using massive gauge invariant QCD we show explicity how power like corrections to \(\Pi _{\mu v} \left( q \right) = i\int {dx} e^{iq'x} \left\langle {0\left| {j_\mu ^{em} \left( x \right)\bar j_v^{em} \left( 0 \right)} \right|0} \right\rangle \) arise. Using our result for the 1/q 4 contribution, a one to one correspondence is made between the gluon condensate and the effective gluon mass. By relating this mass to, \(\langle 0|\frac{{\alpha _s }}{\pi }G_{\mu v}^2 |0\rangle \) a value ofm gluon=750 MeV is found at ?q 2=10 GeV2. In addition, within the context of dimensional regularization, a new technique for evaluating two loop momentum integrals with massive propagators is introduced. This method is a derivative of the Mellin transform technique that was applied to ladder diagrams in the days of Reggeisation.  相似文献

Approximating the long-distance gluon dynamics ofSU(3)colour by colour-dielectric block-spin variables, we obtain an effective QCD theory of a scalar colour-dielectric field and a massive colour-bleached gluon field coupled to light quarks. The massive vector field produces a strong attraction betweenq \(\bar q\) pairs, which leads toq \(\bar q\) condensation when the colour-dielectric field becomes small. We calculate \(\left\langle {\bar \psi \psi } \right\rangle\) and the pion decay constantf n as a function of the dielectric field expectation value, by evaluating the fermion determinant in a derivative expansion, and integrating out the bosonic variables. We find that the effective quark-gluon coupling,α s eff , including quark effects, is large on the surface of bags, where \(\left\langle {\bar \psi \psi } \right\rangle\) ±0, but decreases inside hadronic bags, where | \(\left\langle {\bar \psi \psi } \right\rangle\) | is decreasing.  相似文献

A high-precision measurement of the finestructure splitting in the circular 11→10 X-ray transition of \(\bar p^{208} Pb\) was performed. The experimental value of 1199(5) eV is in agreement with QED calculations. From that value the magnetic moment of the antiproton was deduced to be ?2.8005(90)μ nucl. With this result the uncertainty of the previous world average value was reduced by a factor of ≈2. A comparison with the corresponding quantity of the proton now yields: \({{\left( {\mu _p - \left| {\left\langle {\mu _{\bar p} } \right\rangle } \right|} \right)} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\left( {\mu _p - \left| {\left\langle {\mu _{\bar p} } \right\rangle } \right|} \right)} {\mu _p }}} \right. \kern-0em} {\mu _p }} = \left( { - 2.4 \pm 2.9} \right) \times 10^{ - 3} \) .  相似文献

In the aligned two-Higgs-doublet model, we perform a complete one-loop computation of the short-distance Wilson coefficients \(C_{7,9,10}^{(\prime )}\), which are the most relevant ones for \(b\rightarrow s\ell ^+\ell ^-\) transitions. It is found that, when the model parameter \(\left| \varsigma _{u}\right| \) is much smaller than \(\left| \varsigma _{d}\right| \), the charged scalar contributes mainly to chirality-flipped \(C_{9,10}^\prime \), with the corresponding effects being proportional to \(\left| \varsigma _{d}\right| ^2\). Numerically, the charged-scalar effects fit into two categories: (A) \(C_{7,9,10}^\mathrm {H^\pm }\) are sizable, but \(C_{9,10}^{\prime \mathrm {H^\pm }}\simeq 0\), corresponding to the (large \(\left| \varsigma _{u}\right| \), small \(\left| \varsigma _{d}\right| \)) region; (B) \(C_7^\mathrm {H^\pm }\) and \(C_{9,10}^{\prime \mathrm {H^\pm }}\) are sizable, but \(C_{9,10}^\mathrm {H^\pm }\simeq 0\), corresponding to the (small \(\left| \varsigma _{u}\right| \), large \(\left| \varsigma _{d}\right| \)) region. Taking into account phenomenological constraints from the inclusive radiative decay \(B\rightarrow X_{s}{\gamma }\), as well as the latest model-independent global analysis of \(b\rightarrow s\ell ^+\ell ^-\) data, we obtain the much restricted parameter space of the model. We then study the impact of the allowed model parameters on the angular observables \(P_2\) and \(P_5'\) of \(B^0\rightarrow K^{*0}\mu ^+\mu ^-\) decay, and we find that \(P_5'\) could be increased significantly to be consistent with the experimental data in case B.  相似文献

I discuss the recent experimental and theoretical developments following the discovery of the 8+ pentaquark, an exoticuudd \(\bar s\) baryon resonance observed in theKN channel by several experiments, and an exotic Ξ*?? (ddss \(\bar u\)) reported by NA49 at CERN. I focus on the theoretical interpretation of the data, both in terms of quark and chiral degrees of freedom, on the predictions for related exotic states, and on several unresolved questions raised by the experimental data, such as why some experiments observe the pentaquarks and other don't, the apparently extremely narrow width of the Θ+ and the determination of its parity. I also describe the likely properties of the proposed heavy-quark pentaquarks, an anticharmed exotic baryon Θ c uudd \(\bar c\) and Θ b + (uudd \(\bar b\)) which are expected to be extremely narrow or even stable against strong decays. H1 recently reported observation of a possible Θ c candidate inD *? p channel. Pentaquarks are also being searched for ine + e ? annihilation and γγ collisions in the LEP data and atB-factories.  相似文献

Arguments in favour of a large value of the matrix element \(\left\langle {N\left| {\bar ss} \right|N} \right\rangle \) based on semiphenomenological data and low-energy theorems are given. As an application of these considerations, we study the contribution of strange quarks to the neutron electric dipole moment.  相似文献

The neutrinoless double-beta (\(0\nu 2\beta \)) decay is currently the only feasible process in particle and nuclear physics to probe whether massive neutrinos are the Majorana fermions. If they are of a Majorana nature and have a normal mass ordering, the effective neutrino mass term \(\langle m\rangle ^{}_{ee}\) of a \(0\nu 2\beta \) decay may suffer significant cancellations among its three components and thus sink into a decline, resulting in a “well” in the three-dimensional graph of \(|\langle m\rangle ^{}_{ee}|\) against the smallest neutrino mass \(m^{}_1\) and the relevant Majorana phase \(\rho \). We present a new and complete analytical understanding of the fine issues inside such a well, and identify a novel threshold of \(|\langle m\rangle ^{}_{ee}|\) in terms of the neutrino masses and flavor mixing angles: \(|\langle m\rangle ^{}_{ee}|^{}_* = m^{}_3 \sin ^2\theta ^{}_{13}\) in connection with \(\tan \theta ^{}_{12} = \sqrt{m^{}_1/m^{}_2}\) and \(\rho =\pi \). This threshold point, which links the local minimum and maximum of \(|\langle m\rangle ^{}_{ee}|\), can be used to signify observability or sensitivity of the future \(0\nu 2\beta \)-decay experiments. Given current neutrino oscillation data, the possibility of \(|\langle m\rangle ^{}_{ee}| < |\langle m\rangle ^{}_{ee}|^{}_*\) is found to be very small.  相似文献

The average multiplicities of charged hadrons and of π+, π? and π0 mesons, produced in \(\bar v\) Ne and νNe charged current interactions in the forward and backward hemispheres of theW ±-nucleon center of mass system, are studied with data from BEBC. The dependence of the multiplicities on the hadronic mass (W) and on the laboratory rapidity (y Lab) and the energy fraction (z) of the pion is also investigated. Special care is taken to determine the π0 multiplicity accurately. The ratio of average π multiplicities \(\frac{{2\left\langle {n_{\pi ^O } } \right\rangle }}{{[\left\langle {n_{\pi ^ + } } \right\rangle + \left\langle {n_{\pi ^ - } } \right\rangle ]}}\) is consistent with 1. In the backward hemisphere \(\left\langle {n_{\pi ^O } } \right\rangle \) is positively correlated with the charged multiplicity. This correlation, as well as differences in multiplicities between \(\mathop v\limits^{( - )} \) and \(\mathop v\limits^{( - )} \) , \(\mathop v\limits^{( - )} \) scattering, is attributed to reinteractions inside the neon nucleus of the hadrons produced in the initial \(\mathop v\limits^{( - )} \) interaction.  相似文献

We study the final problem for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation
$i{\partial }_{t}u+\frac{1}{2}\Delta u=\lambda|u|^{\frac{2}{n}}u,\quad (t,x)\in {\mathbf{R}}\times \mathbf{R}^{n},$
where\(\lambda \in{\bf R},n=1,2,3\). If the final data\(u_{+}\in {\bf H}^{0,\alpha }=\left\{ \phi \in {\bf L}^{2}:\left( 1+\left\vert x\right\vert \right) ^{\alpha }\phi \in {\bf L}^{2}\right\} \) with\(\frac{ n}{2} < \alpha < \min \left( n,2,1+\frac{2}{n}\right) \) and the norm\(\Vert \widehat{u_{+}}\Vert _{{\bf L}^{\infty }}\) is sufficiently small, then we prove the existence of the wave operator in L 2. We also construct the modified scattering operator from H 0,α to H 0,δ with\(\frac{n}{2} < \delta < \alpha\).

In earlier papers, we have studied the turbulent flow exponents \(\zeta _p\), where \(\langle |\Delta \mathbf{v}|^p\rangle \sim \ell ^{\zeta _p}\) and \(\Delta \mathbf{v}\) is the contribution to the fluid velocity at small scale \(\ell \). Using ideas of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics we have found
$$\begin{aligned} \zeta _p={p\over 3}-{1\over \ln \kappa }\ln \Gamma \left( {p\over 3}+1\right) \end{aligned}$$
where \(1/\ln \kappa \) is experimentally \(\approx \,0.32\,\pm \,0.01\). The purpose of the present note is to propose a somewhat more physical derivation of the formula for \(\zeta _p\). We also present an estimate \(\approx \,100\) for the Reynolds number at the onset of turbulence.

The masses of \(uudd\bar s,{\text{ }}uudd\bar d\), and \(uuss\bar d\) pentaquarks are evaluated in a framework of both the effective Hamiltonian approach to QCD and the spinless Salpeter equation using the Jaffe-Wilczek diquark approximation and the string interaction for the diquark-diquark-antiquark system. The pentaquark masses are found to be in the region above 2 GeV. That indicates that the Goldstone boson exchange effects may play an important role in the light pentaquarks. The same calculations yield the mass of \([ud]^2 \bar c\) pentaquark ~3250 MeV and \([ud]^2 \bar b\) pentaquark ~6509 MeV.  相似文献

The high-statistics Belle data on the γγ → π+π? and γγ → π0π0 reactions have been jointly analyzed. The main dynamical mechanisms of these reactions for energies below 1.5 GeV have been revealed. It has been shown that the direct coupling constants of the σ(600) and f 0(980) resonances with a γγ pair are small and that the σ(600) → γγ and f 0(980) → γγ decays are four-quark transitions due primarily to π+π? and K + K ?-loop mechanisms, respectively. The role of the chiral shielding of the σ(600) resonance is emphasized. The widths of the f 0(980) → γγ and σ(600) → γγ decays averaged over the resonance mass distributions, as well as the width of the f 2(1270) → γγ decay, are estimated as \(\langle \Gamma _{f_0 \to \gamma \gamma } \rangle _{\pi \pi } \approx 0.19 keV, \langle \Gamma _{\sigma \to \gamma \gamma } \rangle _{\pi \pi } \approx 0.45 keV\), and \(\Gamma _{f_2 \to \gamma \gamma } (m_{f_2 }^2 ) \approx 3.8 keV\).  相似文献

The Neumann Schrödinger operator \(\mathcal{L}\) is considered on a thin 2D star-shaped junction, composed of a vertex domain Ωint and a few semi-infinite straight leads ω m , m = 1, 2, ..., M, of width δ, δ ? diam Ωint, attached to Ωint at Γ ? ?Ωint. The potential of the Schrödinger operator l ω on the leads vanishes, hence there are only a finite number of eigenvalues of the Neumann Schrödinger operator L int on Ωint embedded into the open spectral branches of l ω with oscillating solutions χ ±(x, p) = \(e^{ \pm iK_ + x} e_m \) of l ω χ ± = p 2 χ ±. The exponent of the open channels in the wires is
$K_ + (\lambda ) = p\sum\limits_{m = 1}^M {e^m } \rangle \langle e^m = \sqrt \lambda P_ + $
, with constant e m , on a relatively small essential spectral interval Δ ? [0, π 2 δ ?2). The scattering matrix of the junction is represented on Δ in terms of the ND mapping
$\mathcal{N} = \frac{{\partial P_ + \Psi }}{{\partial x}}(0,\lambda )\left| {_\Gamma \to P_ + \Psi _ + (0,\lambda )} \right|_\Gamma $
as
$S(\lambda ) = (ip\mathcal{N} + I_ + )^{ - 1} (ip\mathcal{N} - I_ + ), I_ + = \sum\limits_{m = 1}^M {e^m } \rangle \langle e^m = P_ + $
. We derive an approximate formula for \(\mathcal{N}\) in terms of the Neumann-to-Dirichlet mapping \(\mathcal{N}_{\operatorname{int} } \) of L int and the exponent K ? of the closed channels of l ω . If there is only one simple eigenvalue λ 0 ∈ Δ, L intφ0 = λ 0φ0 then, for a thin junction, \(\mathcal{N} \approx |\vec \phi _0 |^2 P_0 (\lambda _0 - \lambda )^{ - 1} \) with
$\vec \phi _0 = P_ + \phi _0 = (\delta ^{ - 1} \int_{\Gamma _1 } {\phi _0 (\gamma )} d\gamma ,\delta ^{ - 1} \int_{\Gamma _2 } {\phi _0 (\gamma )} d\gamma , \ldots \delta ^{ - 1} \int_{\Gamma _M } {\phi _0 (\gamma )} d\gamma )$
and \(P_0 = \vec \phi _0 \rangle |\vec \phi _0 |^{ - 2} \langle \vec \phi _0 \),
$S(\lambda ) \approx \frac{{ip|\vec \phi _0 |^2 P_0 (\lambda _0 - \lambda )^{ - 1} - I_ + }}{{ip|\vec \phi _0 |^2 P_0 (\lambda _0 - \lambda )^{ - 1} + I_ + }} = :S_{appr} (\lambda )$
. The related boundary condition for the components P +Ψ(0) and P +Ψ′(0) of the scattering Ansatz in the open channel \(P_ + \Psi (0) = (\bar \Psi _1 ,\bar \Psi _2 , \ldots ,\bar \Psi _M ), P_ + \Psi '(0) = (\bar \Psi '_1 , \bar \Psi '_2 , \ldots , \bar \Psi '_M )\) includes the weighted continuity (1) of the scattering Ansatz Ψ at the vertex and the weighted balance of the currents (2), where
$\frac{{\bar \Psi _m }}{{\bar \phi _0^m }} = \frac{{\delta \sum\nolimits_{t = 1}^M { \bar \Psi _t \bar \phi _0^t } }}{{|\vec \phi _0 |^2 }} = \frac{{\bar \Psi _r }}{{\bar \phi _0^r }} = :\bar \Psi (0)/\bar \phi (0), 1 \leqslant m,r \leqslant M$
(1)
,
$\sum\limits_{m = 1}^M {\bar \Psi '_m } \bar \phi _0^m + \delta ^{ - 1} (\lambda - \lambda _0 )\bar \Psi /\bar \phi (0) = 0$
(1)
. Conditions (1) and (2) constitute the generalized Kirchhoff boundary condition at the vertex for the Schrödinger operator on a thin junction and remain valid for the corresponding 1D model. We compare this with the previous result by Kuchment and Zeng obtained by the variational technique for the Neumann Laplacian on a shrinking quantum network.
