On Uniqueness of Boundary Blow-Up Solutions of a Class of Nonlinear Elliptic Equations

We study boundary blow-up solutions of semilinear elliptic equations Lu = u ₊ ^p with p > 1, or Lu = e ^au with a > 0, where L is a second order elliptic operator with measurable coefficients. Several uniqueness theorems and an existence theorem are obtained.     

A Finite Difference Scheme for Blow-Up Solutions of Nonlinear Wave Equations

<正>We consider a finite difference scheme for a nonlinear wave equation,whose solutions may lose their smoothness in finite time,i.e.,blow up in finite time.In order to numerically reproduce blow-up solutions,we propose a rule for a time-stepping, which is a variant of what was successfully used in the case of nonlinear parabolic equations.A numerical blow-up time is defined and is proved to converge,under a certain hypothesis,to the real blow-up time as the grid size tends to zero.

On the Existence of Positive Solutions of Quasilinear Elliptic Equations with Mixed Boundary Conditions

In this paper, the existence of positive solutions for the mixed boundary problem of quasilinear elliptic equation {-div (|∇u|^{p-2}∇u) = |u|^{p^∗-2}u + f(x, u), \quad u > 0, \quad x ∈ Ω u|_Γ_0 = 0, \frac{∂u}{∂\overrightarrow{n}}|_Γ_1 = 0 is obtained, where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in R^N, ∂Ω = \overrightarrow{Γ}_0 ∪ \overrightarrow{Γ}_1, 2 ≤ p < N, p^∗ = \frac{Np}{N-p}, Γ_0 and Γ_1 are disjoint open subsets of ∂Ω.     

Entire Solutions of Discrete Elliptic Equations

By means of the monotone methods, comparison theorems for the existence and uniqueness of solutions of discrete elliptic type partial difference equations are derived. These results enable us to find positive and bounded solutions to several specific equations.AMS Subject Classification (1991): 39A10.     

一类半线性椭圆方程的正径向解

本文以关于非线性全连续算子的锥不动点定理为工具，研究半线性椭圆边值问题上Δu λa(|x|)u f(|x|,u)=0(x∈Ω)，u|=0及Δu λf(|x|,u)=0(x∈Ω)，u|=0．在不假定f单调的情况下，本文得出了上述问题存在正径向解的若干充分条件．     

非线性椭圆型偏微分方程弱解的存在性

在W1,p(x)空间框架下研究了具有p(x)增长条件的椭圆型偏微分方程:-d iva(x,u,D u) g(x,u,u)=f,得到了在W10,p(x)空间中弱解的存在性,推广了Boccardo等关于在Sobo lev空间中弱解的相应结论.
