The reaction64Ni(36S,34Si)66Zn atE=198 MeV has been used to measure the mass excess of34Si; a value of ?19.971 ?0.044 +0.037 MeV was obtained. This result which is in agreement with the previous value (?19.85±0.30 MeV) is in excellent agreement with recent shell-model mass predictions. The result is discussed within the context of the proposed region of deformation aroundZ=11,N=20.  相似文献

The mass excesses of 33Si and 34Si have been measured using the 36S(11B, 14, 13N)33, 34Si; reactions. Values of ?20.550 ± 0.030 MeV (33Si) and ?20.017 ± 0.025 MeV (34Si) were obtained. In addition, an excited state of 34Si was observed at 5.33 ± 0.05 MeV, and excited levels of 33Si were observed at 1.06 ± 0.02 and 4.32 ± 0.03 MeV. 23Si isotopes have been produced as projectile fragments of a 36Ar primary beam at 95 MeV/nucleon at the LISE3 spectrometer of GANIL. After implantation in a detector telescope, β-delayed one-proton and β-delayed two-proton emission has been observed. The main one-proton peaks are at (1.32±0.04)MeV, (2.40±0.04)MeV, and (2.83±0.06)MeV. The total decay energy for the β2p decay is (6.18±0.10)MeV for the decay to the ground state and (5.86±0.10)MeV for the decay to the first excited state in the daughter nucleus. However, energetically possible decays via βpα and β3p emission have not been identified. The spectra allowed us to determine the excitation energy of the isobaric analogue state in 23Al. This enabled us to calculate the coefficients of the T = 5/2 isobaric multiplet mass equation for A = 23. The mass excess of the 23Si ground state was deduced. This value is compared to different theoretical predictions. Additionally, we determined the branching ratios for the different decay branches. A half-life measurement yielded T1/2 = (40.7±0.4)ms.  相似文献

The (α,p) reaction on31P in the energy rangeE α=3.25 to 5.25 MeV and the (α,n) reaction on29Si in the energy rangeE α=3 to 4.8 MeV, have been used to determine nuclear properties of35Cl and33S respectively. Resonance energies, strengths and partial widths are reported. The analysis of angular distribution measurements yields spin values for 23 resonance levels in35Cl and 14 levels in33S.  相似文献

Triple correlation experiments have been performed to study the35Cl(p, γ)36Ar resonance for a proton energyE p = 533 keV. From the analysis of the measured gamma ray angular distributions, due to the gamma decay of the 9.026 MeV resonance level in36Ar via the 9.026 MeV→1.97 MeV→0 MeV double cascade, a spin value ofJ 1 =2+ for the 9.026 MeV level and a mixing ratio of ?1.97 MeV∥L1 = 2∥9.026 MeV?/?1.97 MeV∥ L1 = 1∥9.026 MeV? = ?0.055 + 0.022 for the 9.026 MeV→ 1.97 MeV transition could be derived.  相似文献

In an experiment at the LISE3 facility of GANIL, we used the projectile fragmentation of a 36Ar primary beam at 95 MeV/nucleon to produce the isotope 24Si. The beta decay half-life of 24Si has been determined to be T1/2 = (140 ± 8) ms, in agreement with earlier measurements. In addition to the decay of the isobaric analog state, several proton peaks are observed for the first time allowing to identify most of the Gamow-Teller transitions to unbound states and to present a partial decay scheme for 24Si. These results are compared with shell-model predictions.  相似文献

The decay of 34mCl has been studied with 36 and 100 cm3 Ge(Li) detectors and with a high-resolution large volume Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) Compton-suppression spectrometer. The 34mCl activity was produced with the reaction 24Mg(12C, pn)34Cl at E(12C) = 35 MeV by bombarding thick natural Mg targets. The half-life was measured to be τ12 = 32.06 ± 0.08 min. Nine γ-ray transitions were observed including four γ-rays not seen previously. The measured γ-ray intensities determine new electron-capture branches of (0.030 ± 0.006) % and (0.032 ± 0.003) % to 34S levels at 4.69 and 4.88 MeV with log ft values of 5.48 ± 0.08 and 5.26 ±0.04, respectively. These log ft values imply allowed transitions and are consistent with the known Jπ values of Jπ = 4+ and 3+ of the 4.69 and 4.88 MeV levels, respectively. A lower limit of log ft ? 6.9 is obtained for the allowed electron-capture branch to the Jπ = 2+, 4.89 MeV level. Other previously observed decay branches have been confirmed. Since the decay of 34mCl proceeds (46.9 ± 1.0)% to the 34Cl ground state, the latter decay was studied concurrently; 34Cl(0)with Jπ = 0+, T = 1 decays exclusively to its analog 34S(0) and the sum of the intensities of four other allowed branches is less than 1.2 × 10?4 of the intensity of the ground-state branch. The experimental results are compared with recent shell-model calculations performed in a large configuration space.  相似文献

Mean lives of low-lying states of 18O, 30Si, 33S and 34S have been measured with the Dopplershift attenuation method by heavy-ion bombardment of 2H and 3H targets. The γ-ray Doppler patterns are observed with a large Ge(Li) detector at 0° in coincidence with protons around 180°, so that the experiments are performed with high-velocity, mono-energetic and unidirectional beams of nuclei in well-defined excited states. Interpretation of the γ-ray patterns measured with Mg, Al, Cu and Ag as slowing-down material, with accurately known experimental stopping powers yields consistent results with small errors: 18O, τnm (1.98 MeV) = 2790 ± 110 fs; 30Si, τm(2.24) = 351 ± 19 fs and τm(3.50) = 89 ± 8 fs; 33S, τm(0.84) = 1650 ± 50 fs and τm(2.31) = 206 ± 8 fs; 34S, τm(2.13) = 470 + 20 fs and τm(3.30) = 196 ± 13 fs. The deduced transition strengths are compared with results from large-scale shell-model calculations.  相似文献

The neutron-rich nuclei33Si,34Si,35Si,35P,36P,37S and38S were investigated by studying14C and18O — induced transfer reactions on36S using aQ3D magnetic spectrograph and a position sensitive focal plane gas detector. The previously unknown mass of the isotope35Si was determined. The accuracy of the mass excess values of the isotopes33Si,34Si,35P and36P has been improved. Excited states of the isotopes33Si,34Si,35P,36P and38S were identified for the first time. In addition theγ-decay of excited states in37S and38S was studied with a Ge(Li) detector in coincidence with theQ3D focal plane detector. Experimental values for the mass excesses are compared with published mass formulae.  相似文献

Proton radioactivities with decay energies of (0.98±0.08) MeV and (0.83±0.08) MeV were produced by the fusion reactions58Ni+58Ni→116Ba ? and58Ni+54Fe→112Xe ?, and their halflives were measured to be (33±7) μs and (109±17) μs, respectively. The intensities of the lines correspond to production cross sections of about 30 μb and 40 μb. The two activities are assigned to the direct proton decay of113Cs and109I. The measured halflives are compared with values calculated ford 5/2 andg 7/2 groundstates of109I and113Cs and spectroscopic factors are deduced for the decays. An extensive search for the proton decay of105Sb, produced in the reaction50Cr(58Ni,p2 n)105Sb, had a negative result, excluding decay energies between 0.5 MeV and 1.5 MeV for halflives between 10 ns and 5 s.  相似文献

The 35Cl(τ, α)34C reaction has been used to study the properties of 34Cl levels up to an excitation energy of 5 MeV. Angular distributions of 37 levels were measured with a split-pole magnetic spectrograph, at a bombarding energy of 15 MeV. New levels have been found at 3847, 3964, 4206, 4321 and 4715 keV, all ± 10 keV. There is a strongly excited multiplet at Ex = 5.0 MeV with components at 4939 ± 11, 4958 ± 11, 4971 ± 11, 4998 ± 12 and 5010 ± 13 keV. A DWBA analysis of the α-particle angular distributions yielded ln values and spectroscopic factors. New spin and parity assignments were obtained. The T = 1 character of the levels at Ex = 4.21 and 4.72 MeV has been determined. Experimental spectroscopic factors are compared with results from recent many-particle shell-model calculations.  相似文献

The El character of the de-excitation of the 9 to 10 MeV states in 40Ar has been studied through the reaction 36S(α, γ)40Ar. Angular distributions and γ-yield asymmetries of primary transitions from the Eα = 2.35 to 3.50 MeV resonances have been measured. The Doppler-shift attenuation method was used to obtain the following lifetime values: 720 ± 120fs (Ex= 2.52 MeV), 89 ±17 (3.21), 90±17(3.511), 22 ±9 (4.33), and 105 ± 17 (4.60).  相似文献

Elastic electron scattering cross sections of27Al and Si (natural isotopic mixture) have been measured relative to carbon. The rms charge radiiR m , deduced with partial wave calculations, are (3.01±0.05) fm for27Al and (3.06±0.05) fm for Si, in good agreement with results from muonic X-ray energies. The values given are those for a Fermi charge distribution with skin thickness 2.5 fm; harmonic oscillator shell model distributions yield radii smaller by 0.03 fm. The ratioR m (27Al)/Rm(Si) is 0.984±0.016.  相似文献

The utility of the (18O20Ne) reaction at small angles for the mass determination of highly neutron rich nuclei is demonstrated by a determination of the mass excess of62Fe as (?58.946±0.022) MeV and of68Ni as (?63.466±0.028) MeV. An excited state of62Fe is observed at 0.875 MeV.  相似文献

Level structure of102Cd has been studied via both102In decay and nuclear reactions. Using92Mo+14N at 86 MeV, the nucleus102In was identified and its decay (T 1/2=24 ±4s) studied with the aid of on-line mass separation techniques. Levels of102Cd were also populated with92Mo+12C at 50 MeV and102Pd+3He at 35 MeV reactions and investigated by means of standard in-beam techniques. A level scheme including states up to 4.5 MeV excitation energy is proposed and then discussed in the frame of available calculations.  相似文献

Highly excited levels of33S populated by α-particle capture in29Si have been investigated forE α=1.962 MeV to 4.287 MeV. Excitation curves measured with Ge(Li) and BF3 detectors are reported. More than fifty resonances can be identified with levels in33S. (α, γ) angular distributions measured on five strong resonances have yieldedJ π values 1/2+, 3/2 +, 5/2?, 5/2?, 5/2? and 3/2+ respectively, for theE x =10.054, 10.466, 10.523, 10.721, 10.758 and 10.776 MeV levels in33S. Elastic scattering experiments have been performed and theJ π assignments are found to be consistent with thel-values inferred from the elastic scattering data. Decay schemes from the above33S levels have been proposed. A new level at 9.245 MeV is also suggested and theJ π values for the 4.425 and 2.87 MeV states are shown to be consistent with 7/2+ and 3/2+ assignment, respectively. The structure of129Ba is investigated through the beta decay of129La, whose half-life is measured to be 11.6±0.2 m. The decay properties are studied by means of beta, gamma and conversion electron spectroscopy techniques. Many transitions are observed and a level scheme of129Ba with deduced129Ba values is proposed. The total decay energy of129Ba is measured to be 3.72±0.05 MeV, which is compared with predictions of mass formulae. Low-lying structure of129Ba is discussed in terms of collective models.  相似文献

The reactions32S(n, α)29Si and40Ca(n, α)37Ar were studied with 13.9 MeV neutrons using two different counter telescopes. Absolute differential cross sections were measured for the transitions to the ground states of29Si and37Ar and to the 1.27+2.03+2.42 MeV levels of29Si. The angular distribution of the ground states interpreted in terms of a simple pick-up-reaction-model were compared with a DWBA-calculation using the code DWUCK.  相似文献
