Characterizations of global optimality are given for general difference convex (DC) optimization problems involving convex inequality constraints. These results are obtained in terms of -subdifferentials of the objective and constraint functions and do not require any regularity condition. An extension of Farkas' lemma is obtained for inequality systems involving convex functions and is used to establish necessary and sufficient optimality conditions. As applications, optimality conditions are also given for weakly convex programming problems, convex maximization problems and for fractional programming problems. This paper was presented at the Optimization Miniconference held at the University of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, on July 14, 1994.  相似文献

Convex composite multi-objective nonsmooth programming   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
This paper examines nonsmooth constrained multi-objective optimization problems where the objective function and the constraints are compositions of convex functions, and locally Lipschitz and Gâteaux differentiable functions. Lagrangian necessary conditions, and new sufficient optimality conditions for efficient and properly efficient solutions are presented. Multi-objective duality results are given for convex composite problems which are not necessarily convex programming problems. Applications of the results to new and some special classes of nonlinear programming problems are discussed. A scalarization result and a characterization of the set of all properly efficient solutions for convex composite problems are also discussed under appropriate conditions. This research was partially supported by the Australian Research Council grant A68930162.This author wishes to acknowledge the financial support of the Australian Research Council.  相似文献

This paper aims at investigating optimality conditions in terms of E-optimal solution for constrained multi-objective optimization problems in a general scheme, where E is an improvement set with respect to a nontrivial closed convex point cone with apex at the origin. In the case where E is not convex, nonlinear vector regular weak separation functions and scalar weak separation functions are introduced respectively to realize the separation between the two sets in the image space, and Lagrangian-type optimality conditions are established. These results extend and improve the convex ones in the literature.  相似文献

Given an optimization problem with a composite of a convex and componentwise increasing function with a convex vector function as objective function, by means of the conjugacy approach based on the perturbation theory, we determine a dual to it. Necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are derived using strong duality. Furthermore, as special case of this problem, we consider a location problem, where the “distances” are measured by gauges of closed convex sets. We prove that the geometric characterization of the set of optimal solutions for this location problem given by Hinojosa and Puerto in a recently published paper can be obtained via the presented dual problem. Finally, the Weber and the minmax location problems with gauges are given as applications.  相似文献

Scalarizing vector optimization problems   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
A scalarization of vector optimization problems is proposed, where optimality is defined through convex cones. By varying the parameters of the scalar problem, it is possible to find all vector optima from the scalar ones. Moreover, it is shown that, under mild assumptions, the dependence is differentiable for smooth objective maps defined over reflexive Banach spaces. A sufficiency condition of optimality for a general mathematical programming problem is also given in the Appendix.  相似文献

Using a general approach which provides sequential optimality conditions for a general convex optimization problem, we derive necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for composed convex optimization problems. Further, we give sequential characterizations for a subgradient of the precomposition of a K-increasing lower semicontinuous convex function with a K-convex and K-epi-closed (continuous) function, where K is a nonempty convex cone. We prove that several results from the literature dealing with sequential characterizations of subgradients are obtained as particular cases of our results. We also improve the above mentioned statements.  相似文献

It is well-known in optimal control theory that the maximum principle, in general, furnishes only necessary optimality conditions for an admissible process to be an optimal one. It is also well-known that if a process satisfies the maximum principle in a problem with convex data, the maximum principle turns to be likewise a sufficient condition. Here an invexity type condition for state constrained optimal control problems is defined and shown to be a sufficient optimality condition. Further, it is demonstrated that all optimal control problems where all extremal processes are optimal necessarily obey this invexity condition. Thus optimal control problems which satisfy such a condition constitute the most general class of problems where the maximum principle becomes automatically a set of sufficient optimality conditions.  相似文献

New results are established for multiobjective DC programs with infinite convex constraints (MOPIC) that are defined on Banach spaces (finite or infinite dimensional) with objectives given as the difference of convex functions. This class of problems can also be called multiobjective DC semi-infinite and infinite programs, where decision variables run over finite-dimensional and infinite-dimensional spaces, respectively. Such problems have not been studied as yet. Necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for the weak Pareto efficiency are introduced. Further, we seek a connection between multiobjective linear infinite programs and MOPIC. Both Wolfe and Mond-Weir dual problems are presented, and corresponding weak, strong, and strict converse duality theorems are derived for these two problems respectively. We also extend above results to multiobjective fractional DC programs with infinite convex constraints. The results obtained are new in both semi-infinite and infinite frameworks.  相似文献

This paper studies a class of multiobjective generalized fractional programming problems, where the numerators of objective functions are the sum of differentiable function and convex function, while the denominators are the difference of differentiable function and convex function. Under the assumption of Calmness Constraint Qualification the Kuhn-Tucker type necessary conditions for efficient solution are given, and the Kuhn-Tucker type sufficient conditions for efficient solution are presented under the assumptions of (F, α, ρ, d)-V-convexity. Subsequently, the optimality conditions for two kinds of duality models are formulated and duality theorems are proved.  相似文献

Asymptotic extensions of the Kuhn-Tucker conditions, in which both the adjoint equation and the complementary slackness condition are solved asymptotically, are given for vector-valued mathematical programming problems in locally convex spaces. Under appropriate hypotheses, the conditions are both necessary and sufficient for optimality. In particular, they characterize optimality for linear programs. An asymptotic dual program is also given.  相似文献

Necessary and sufficient conditions of optimality are given for a nonlinear nondifferentiable program, where the constraints are defined via closed convex cones and their polars. These results are then used to obtain an existence theorem for the corresponding stationary point problem, under some convexity and regularity conditions on the functions involved, which also guarantee an optimal solution to the programming problem. Furthermore, a dual problem is defined, and a strong duality theorem is obtained under the assumption that the constraint sets of the primal and dual problems are nonempty.  相似文献

In this paper, we present sufficient global optimality conditions for weakly convex minimization problems using abstract convex analysis theory. By introducing (L,X)-subdifferentials of weakly convex functions using a class of quadratic functions, we first obtain some sufficient conditions for global optimization problems with weakly convex objective functions and weakly convex inequality and equality constraints. Some sufficient optimality conditions for problems with additional box constraints and bivalent constraints are then derived.   相似文献

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the study of a bilevel multiobjective optimization problems with objectives and constraints given as differences of convex functions. The main attention is paid to deriving sufficient optimality conditions. Several intermediate optimization problems are introduced to help us in our investigation.  相似文献

In this paper, we present Lagrange multiplier necessary conditions for global optimality that apply to non-convex optimization problems beyond quadratic optimization problems subject to a single quadratic constraint. In particular, we show that our optimality conditions apply to problems where the objective function is the difference of quadratic and convex functions over a quadratic constraint, and to certain class of fractional programming problems. Our necessary conditions become necessary and sufficient conditions for global optimality for quadratic minimization subject to quadratic constraint. As an application, we also obtain global optimality conditions for a class of trust-region problems. Our approach makes use of outer-estimators, and the powerful S-lemma which has played key role in control theory and semidefinite optimization. We discuss numerical examples to illustrate the significance of our optimality conditions. The authors are grateful to the referees for their useful comments which have contributed to the final preparation of the paper.  相似文献

For a kind of fractional programming problem that the objective functions are the ratio of two DC (difference of convex) functions with finitely many convex constraints, in this paper, its dual problems are constructed, weak and strong duality assertions are given, and some sufficient and necessary optimality conditions which characterize their optimal solutions are obtained. Some recently obtained Farkas-type results for fractional programming problems that the objective functions are the ratio of a convex function to a concave function with finitely many convex constraints are the special cases of the general results of this paper.  相似文献

A class of multiobjective fractional programmings (MFP) are first formulated, where the involved functions are local Lipschitz and Clarke subdifferentiable. In order to deduce our main results, we give the definitions of the generalized (F,ρ) convex class about the Clarke subgradient. Under the above generalized convexity assumption, the alternative theorem is obtained, and some sufficient and necessary conditions for optimality are also given related to the properly efficient solution for the problems. Finally, we formulate the two dual problems (MD) and (MD1) corresponding to (MFP), and discuss the week, strong and reverse duality.  相似文献

We introduce a new preference relation in the space of random variables, which we call robust stochastic dominance. We consider stochastic optimization problems where risk-aversion is expressed by a robust stochastic dominance constraint. These are composite semi-infinite optimization problems with constraints on compositions of measures of risk and utility functions. We develop necessary and sufficient conditions of optimality for such optimization problems in the convex case. In the nonconvex case, we derive necessary conditions of optimality under additional smoothness assumptions of some mappings involved in the problem.  相似文献

This paper concerns a closedness condition called (CC) involving a convex function and a convex constrained system. This type of condition has played an important role in the study of convex optimization problems. Our aim is to establish several characterizations of this condition and to apply them to study problems of minimizing a DC function under a cone-convex constraint and a set constraint. First, we establish several so-called ‘Toland–Fenchel–Lagrange’ duality theorems. As consequences, various versions of generalized Farkas lemmas in dual forms for systems involving convex and DC functions are derived. Then, we establish optimality conditions for DC problem under convex constraints. Optimality conditions for convex problems and problems of maximizing a convex function under convex constraints are given as well. Most of the results are established under the (CC) condition. This article serves as a link between several corresponding known ones published recently for DC programs and for convex programs.  相似文献
